Tobin's on Bulls & Bears now ...
Has he ever mentioned NEOM on that show?
Anyone here know if Tobin mentioned NEOM in his Friday newsletter, particularly with respect to this SAIC change?
Just curious.
TIA
jonesie
clodhopper, yes it did
bounced off the 200EMA, with the 200SMA being way down around .08. The trendline I mentioned is one I've plotted. I've had some great "good luck" with plotted trendlines. Might never reach this one.
Thanks again for the tip ".10/.11, 20 minutes in", I figured that was as good a spot as any and it worked great. How'd you know that lol.
I never answered your question, guess I got in this morning for a quick swing since I still haven't had time to do some DD on the company. Maybe I'll stay long "depending".

LOL, yeah, I do, that's what keeps me in and adding from time to time. I give up on getting a chunk like that at .05, those seem to be reserved for someone "special". I've tried. Bastids LOL
jonesie
A $3500 trade moves the stock 23%.
Of course, a $6 trade can move it 8% so why would I be surprised?
Shoot, I can't even remember LOL
Oh yeah, a guy who's in another stock with me said ANOTHER guy had been mentioning GCCP to him for a while, he told me about it early yesterday morning I think (man, seems like longer ago, I'd have to check email). I was looking at the chart and saw a couple of interesting trendlines, then I mentioned to him he might get a better entry than Wednesday's close.
Looking at a slightly older trendline I wouldn't be surprised at .09x before it's done. Who knows, we take our best shots, eh?
GLTY

diamondtech, I know exactly what you mean.
I've really got just about all the NEOM I can handle now, so the order at .36 on trendline is just so ... "if" I have to go through the pain of that drop, I want a "prize" for it ;)
Best regards and best of luck!
jonesie
Don't be surprised at a quick dash to .36
Like the quick dash to .291 a while back.
Nice uptrend line going back to October '04, through the lows in late March '05 (cut out the silly stuff on 4/4 and 4/5), picks up that low at .291 (I thought .30 would be the low so bought big there) and that line sits at .357 today, moves up a bit each day.
NEOM trading under a downtrend line that goes through the highs on 5/3 and 6/29, touching it lately but not busting through it.
Seems like "they" would want to at least hit that lower uptrend line one more time. Orders in at .36 and hoping.

Gotta figure this one out fast, could be a great buying opp coming up or already here.
GLTA
jonesie, no position
Good news already priced in?
Don't know, new here, friend mentioned this early this morning. That DOES look like great news, anticipation of this may explain the rise from a nickel.
Nice uptrendline going would have me buying and .165 and being happy, but gotta do a bit more DD first.
GLTA
jonesie
I know, isn't that nasty?
I'm waiting to see how that gets settled. The chart seems to be telling me that someone knows the settlement may be about done and that it might be relatively "mild", the stock appears to be under accumulation.
Glad you found this board, I couldn't find any discussion about ckpi anywhere so I thought I'd start this and see if anyone showed up. Have you looked at ckpi before? How did you find this board?

Uh wha....!!!??
Oh, oops, fell asleep. Somebody wake me up when SUPW does something.
Tri-Valley Taps Business Dean for Board Seat
8/10/2005 3:31:48 PM
BAKERSFIELD, CA, Aug 10, 2005 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Tri-Valley Corporation (TIV) has added Henry Lowenstein, Ph.D. and Dean of the School of Business and public administrator at California State University, Bakersfield as the sixth outside director on a seven-person board of directors of this American Stock Exchange listed company.
Chosen because of his broad background in business, academe and public service, Dr. Lowenstein has served several universities as instructor, assistant professor, and professor in management, chairman of divisions of business and economics and public administration. In business he has been executive vice president of American Furniture, Inc., vice president and Director of Education at Dominion Bankshares Corporation, and director of education for Kemper Insurance and Financial Group. He served in the U.S. Office of Management and Budge and the Executive Office of the President.
"We continue to strengthen Tri-Valley's corporate governance, resources for complying with the intense increase in regulations and design of internal systems as we conduct our business to increase the value and liquidity of Tri-Valley shares. We believe Dr. Lowenstein will certainly add to our capabilities to deliver results for our shareholders and drilling partners," said F. Lynn Blystone, president, chief executive officer and the only inside director of Tri-Valley Corporation.
Under its Delaware charter and by-laws, the Tri-Valley board may expand or contract the number of directors and has expanded the former six person board to seven and will submit a slate of seven directors for election at its upcoming shareholder meeting October 10 at the Santa Barbara Four Seasons Biltmore.
"Tri-Valley is growing at an unprecedented rate. We are adding technical and support staff and our corporate governance requirements have increased as well. We are on the lookout for staff and board talent to enable us to accept the burgeoning opportunity we now have to build value in Tri-Valley. Dr. Lowenstein has demonstrated uncommon ability to grow his school in quality and size and understands our goals to do the same for our company, its shareholders and project investors," Blystone said.
Chart looks interesting.
Some projects in the pipeline.
IMO CKPI is going up from this area.
I would be interested in discussing with anyone else who has somehow found this stock :)

beigledog, thanks.
I just don't know what to do with those sub-penny stocks LOL. I get a great commission rate from Fidelity on most of my trades ($8) but on sub-dollar stocks I pay extra and on sub-penny stocks it would kill me with all the per-thousand shares charges LOL. I guess Fidelity tries to discourage trading pennies? Who knows.

Here's an interesting one to look at, ckpi.pk
For you chartists especially.
CKPI.pk
Note the W%R and RSI saying oversold.
Note the Chaikin Money Flow and Acc/Dis saying money is flowing into the stock.
That's mostly what I was interested in anyone's take on.
Note today's news, and July's news on the movie they are doing.
I'm getting word that the SEC thing is being settled with $60,000 and a new CEO, but I'm not really into all that stuff, mostly charts.
Chart, I think, is telling me to buy more.
FWIW and disclosure = I am in it now.
jonesie
If they're going to take it to $1.35 ...
I just wish they'd do it and get it over with.
I'm not touching any more of this until it bottoms (in the perfect 20-20 of hindsight) and gives a clear confirmation of a strong uptrend. That might mean chasing it but that's okay, I've got plenty of chase room in which to average down on the way up LOL.

Filled at .71, finally.
Wish I hadn't been on the road, I'd have changed the limit buy and picked them up cheaper. What can you do though.
Now the upward movement can commence. ;)
jonesie
Still waiting at .71.
Thanks for stopping the buying for a while.
jonesie
Hilarious, 100 shares traded?
$6 worth of shares?
beacon, I know I know :)
But but but ... while I've got way more NEOM than I ever thought I would ... what was that Gordon Gecko said?
"Greed is good"
Perfectly happy here to add on dips which will be inherent with every move up.
Nice and easy does it.
jonesie
Could we please have a little panic soon?
This would be the first opp to buy sub-.40 since the Mobot news, news which I think is VERY good.
I'd like some .375's and twice as many .35's please.
Thank you!
jonesie
p.s. .37x has been nearly bulletproof lately and .35 is the lower trendline I'm running, the trendline that had me waiting at .30 on that big fast dip down there.
p.p.s. Thanks to all who provide such good info here!!!!
Double-tap on the 1.85 low so far.
I'm not going to try and guess a bottom this time, prefer to see it in hindsight and buy on the way up.

At least we've flatlined right on the 50SMA and 200SMA which are pretty much at the same point right now. For what THAT's worth :)

Select Resources Corporation Initiates Exploration Program on Its Typhoon Claim Group in Yukon Territory
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRNewswire
3:53 p.m. 08/02/2005
BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Aug 02, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Select Resources Corporation and Curlew Lake Resources jointly announced today initiation of the 2005 exploration program of their jointly held Typhoon claim group in the Clear Creek District of Yukon Territory. The program is designed to identify lode gold deposits in this historic placer district. The first phase of the program is to complete a detailed soil geochemical survey and a ground magnetometer survey of the claim group, focusing on claims staked in 2004. This program will include follow-up of several soil anomalies identified late last year. It is expected that soil samples will be submitted for analysis within the next few days, with preliminary results expected in approximately 30 days.
As announced earlier, Select has optioned Curlew Lake's Typhoon claim group in the Clear Creek District, consisting of approximately 3 square miles of claims. The Clear Creek District is recognized as a component of the Tintina Gold Province, which hosts a number of significant lode gold deposits in Alaska and Yukon Territory. The Typhoon claim group extends for several kilometers along 65 Pup Creek, which shows evidence of placer mining.
Harold Noyes, Select's President, stated, "This is an exciting opportunity for Select to extend its experience in the Alaska segment of the Tintina Gold Province to another promising area. The geologic environment, the evidence of bedrock occurrences, and the extensive placer workings are all positive indicators of potential mineralization in the Clear Creek District."
Select Resources Corporation is the mining subsidiary of Bakersfield, California-based Tri-Valley Corporation

There is THAT note of course ...
It says he agrees not to sell shares within 30 days of making any recommendation.
Just curious ... does that mean 30 days from his ORIGINAL rec?
Or does the 30 day clock start over each time he "pumps" NEOM in his WaveWire, regular newsletter, or any other communique?
But there was no note (that I saw) saying anything about acquiring NEOM shares, or any other shares in his currently listed holdings for that matter, in non-market transactions.
jonesie
tobin and neom
On the disclosure page I see he has NEOM on his ownership list (forgot to look at the "as of" date, usually the 5th or 6th of the month) and I don't see any notes regarding non-market acquisitions.
"Unless otherwise indicated above, all of these shares were acquired in market transactions."
There is no "otherwise" indication. Where are you seeing anything to the contrary?
TIA
