Heck, derf...I don't need to look for your sunglasses, I think your hair will be a one-of-a-kind. I fear, though, your outfit may be replicated....perhaps even by one of the golfers!
LOL! derf....How about I carry it around, on a standard, as knights of old?
I'm going Sunday, derf...
I'll be the chick in shorts!
Yeah, derf, I heard its nearly impossible to get tickets. You going Saturday or Sunday to the Nelson?
sarals...
LOL! You lose. If for no other reason than you failed to present a shred of evidence.
derf..
Got a couple of Platinum passes to the Nelson, but you can't have them! :-ppp
I'm currently in intense negotiations (read groveling) with the boss-man for Colonial passes.
Ohmygosh!! trkyhntr....I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing!
Great minds and all that.....
You forget, Big Fella....
I'm fluent in ONEBGG-ese.
Okay, sarals...
The authors are, "noted intelligence experts", correct?
Name their source for the damning statement.
I also would demand independent, corroborating, evidence of the statement in question.
your turn.....
So, basically, sarals...
You presented unsubstantiated claims as facts. Bad sarals, bad.
You, go to the rear of the Law 101 class.
sarals...
Where is proof of this statement? Who is quoted? What are the sources which provided this quote, and what are their agendas?
Enquiring minds want to know!
Sox...
Yep.
Maybe, sarals...
That depends on which side of the "belief" fence you are on.
I believe in full disclosure after the issues of national security are addressed, and I happen to trust the current admin. Had this been Willy, I'd of been like you - highly skeptical.
Peg, I demand proof, not speculation, not conjecture, not WAGs, not emotions, not feelings, not...well, you get the picture.
sarals....
Ever hear of "need to know basis"? Some things, the public just doesn't need to know...for its own protection.
Notice, it's not that it won't be released, it's that it hasn't been released yet. Don't believe, for a second, that the minute it is deemed moot the report(s) won't surface, because they will. WE, the people, will demand it.
Yes, Sox...
But, remember, you are speaking to a former attorney's assistant.
One can make a case, either way, and be convincing.
In my case, Bush's admin is/was misguided in their war on drugs efforts, in yours they are responsible for funding terrorism.
Hi husker...eom
Sox...
First, I like your signature line.
Second, I presume your proof is still forthcoming and I don't need to respond to this, heresay, testimonial timeline?
Sorry, Sox...
I thought I had told you I agreed the U.S. gave the Taliban $43 in May 2001.
Where we diverge is that you think it was for something nefarious, and I think it was a misguided attempt @ the war on drugs.
Sox..again..
Only conjecture, no facts. HOwever, I would agree that a war on drugs is futile, however noble our intentions.
Nothing points to a link between the President and 9/11, though.
Sox...
"Yet the Bush administration did more than praise the Taliban's proclaimed ban of opium cultivation. In mid-May, 2001, Secretary of State Colin Powell announced a $43 million grant to Afghanistan in addition to the humanitarian aid the United States had long been providing to agencies assisting Afghan refugees. Given Callahan's comment, there was little doubt that the new stipend was a reward for Kabul's anti-drug efforts."
Purely conjecture. If this is the best you can do, for proof, we can stop right now.
Sox,
I am not making a big deal out of it. Really, I'm not.
Yes, I know who John O'Neil is. But I'm not interested in your conjecture. I am interested in facts. That is why I insist you begin at the beginning or we can drop this whole matter.
If you continue, however, I do not want to hear your "spin" on things. Just posting links, to your facts, will do. Let me draw my own conclusions, thank you.
No Sox...
You want to expand my knowledge, within your pre-set limitations.
I suspect all this b.s. is just a cover, that you don't have any proof to back your statements. It's okay, I didn't expect you to.
Well, Sox...
I can only conclude that you do not wish to further inter-planetary relations, so adieu.
Sox...
I'm not answering anything, so let's pretend I'm new to this planet and you must prove to me your point.
Now, go, prove it.
BnB...
You'll get no argument here.
Sox...
Show me your proof, and I will shut up.
Good point, BnB...but one could counter with - if Slick had kept it zipped, there'd of been no need for skirt-chasing.
Sox...
"It has been reported that the Taliban were given a choice after they turned down the US offer to build a gas/oil pipeline in Afghanistan. Either take the carpet of gold being offered or get a carpet of bombs."
Where, Sox? What credible evidence can you provide to back this statement? Please provide a link detailing your proof, if you have one.
No, Sox..Pres. Bush is not responsible for 9/11. That responsibility lies squarely at the feet of one Slick Willy - whose inaction, for 8 years, made the U.S. a ripe and juicy target.
What a load of crap! However, I say let the libs keep talking - they are digging their own collective, political, grave.
So, BnB.....
What has come of this, so far?
Susie...
Nope, for some reason this had to be in liquid form. Pills are no easier - with a cat anyway, unless I do it ONEBGG's way.
Dogs are easier to fool.
Thanks for the advice, ONEBGG. eom
BnB...
No, but what does it have to do with Cheney? Or any other investor? Is the SEC involved?
Here's my rant for the week...
And there were sooooooooooo many to choose from!
Sunday evening my cat gets out of the house. He is gone ONE hour.
Monday morning, I wake up to find he has gotten sick...and I mean violently sick alllllllll over the place. He can barely move, and lies on the floor whining. Sigh.......
After a trip to the vet, several hours of waiting for the phone to ring while I fretted, he is sent home with antibiotics. Seems he was suffering from an infected bite (probably from another cat) that had gone so deep it damaged muscle tissue in his back, making it difficult for him to walk.
Here's my rant......
The vet hands me a bottle of amoxicillin liquid (approximately a quart size) and instructs me to give the cat one dropperful two times a day - until it is all gone. For those of you who have never seen this stuff it is a BRIGHT pink - and that will be important later in the story.
I stare from the bottle, back to the vet, to the bottle, incredulous.
"You want me to tackle my cat, shove a dropper in his mouth and squirt this nasty stuff down his throat...TWICE a day??"
"Yes" came the reply.
"Heh..heh...you're a funny guy" I said.
"Well, he has to have it. It's a nasty wound." The vet said, putting on his stern-doctor-follow-my-instructions-or-your-cat-goes-to-kitty-heaven face.
"Okay" I said and left with my sick kitty.
When I get home, I have my daughter hold the cat and I proceed to administer the first dose. Squeeze, open the mouth, shove the dropper in, squeeze again...bam! it's over before he knows what happened. I think, hey, I can do this! Forgetting, of course, that my cat is nearly incapacitated with pain, delirious from fever, and generally sick as a dog..er...cat..
Next morning, feeling in charge of the situation, I grab the cat and squeeze, open mouth, shove dropper in, squeeze again....and, the cat jerks away, shakes his head, and my white carpet is now covered in pink polka-dots. And, the dropper is still half full. I try it again, and now me, the cat, and the carpet have pink polka-dots.
Yes, the wonders of modern animal husbandry....I mean, they can send a cat to the moon, but they can't incorporate medicine in something a cat will actually eat without having to be wrestled to the floor. Aaaaarrrgggggghhhhhh!
P.S. I got smart and started mixing the medicine with some canned cat food. He eats it all with no fuss.
P.P.S. I'm thinking it'll be easier to paint the walls pink than clean the carpet.
So, BnB...
What's your beef? Is there some impropriety in Cheney owning/selling/trading Haliburton stock?
Absolutely, ONEBGG, I intend to follow your rules. Always have.
Sorry, trkyhntr....I realized that after I posted it. Thank you, though.
ONEBGG......
First, welcome back!! We missed you.
Second: "IF YOU WERE NOT WELCOMED HERE BEFORE, DO NOT THINK THAT YOU ARE WELCOME HERE NOW"
Well, I wasn't. Am I now?
Mags...
Too bad I didn't know, I needed a break...BADLY...and would have loved to meet you....if you were close enough, like a layover @ DFW.
40lbs!!! I guess I know what you'll be doing for the next week or two!
