Geezuz, is there no end to the bleeding on this? Doesn't even look like any recovery is going to happen during extended hours either.
Wow, I thought we might get a good rebound when it went back up a little to $25.80, but we are getting crushed here today, down almost 8 percent on the day.....oh man....this is painful to watch.
Well as much as that is true, they are up from a low of $11.21, now at #13.41. They have made some changes that are being well received. Namely getting rid of the top guy that was selling everything off.
Tomorrow will be a better day, if the talking heads on the FBN channel are right. Gold is up! GE is holding green....
Hard to find anything today that is not loosing, GE seems to be doing ok and gold is in the green, AMMX, well we all know, it is pretty stable right now, a fluctuation of 0.0005 isn't much.
If that holds true this time around and let's hope that it does, it sure would do us all here at AMMX some good!
I never thought I'd consider being in a penny stock like AMMX that currently has very low activity and changes in price, but have you guys seen what is happening in all the other markets today?
Interest rates? Really? I don't know the exact rate but aren't they at about 3%?? That seems to be very small compared to the types of gains commonly seen in the markets? I borrow $100 @ 3% interest and my sock gains 10% or mare....I'm still ahead 7% or more, right? Maybe I'm missing something her.
I think Home Depot would be a great buy. With all the hurrucanes and flooding there will be a lot of huge buys for various building materials, especially dry wall or gypsum board along with everything else that gts ruined in homes getting flooded, carpets , appliances, you name it. Retailers like HD and Lowes are going to make a killing. I am in the process of finding companies that supply those things to the retailers, gypsum, lumber, carpets, shingles, tar paper.
I know, I saw the IHUB home page all the markets are red, Gold, Oil, Dow, NASDAQ etc. is this all because of the damned hurricane?? IS it because of the BS with China? Or maybe what's been happening surrounding the Justice kavanaugh issue??
Watching LII and charts. Was and still am hoping for a small gain on intraday fluctuations. Seems to me there is a pretty consistent oscillation in this stock of somewhere in the average of $0.80 to $1.50 everyday.
My original bid was 26 even, but it didn't look like it was going to get there, so I upped my bid some, then it came down again and before I could replace my order it filled, a little lower than my bid, thanks to the broker, then the price continued to fall and I snagged some at like 25.90, and it has continued down to like 25.30. WOW, my gut instincts were right, I should have stuck to my guns. I am hoping to see a come back this afternoon or in the extended hours trading sessions.
AMD is not looking so good so far today, lost ground faster than I thought it would. Full, disclosure I bought some shares this morning, av. pps $26.20.....
Thanks for noticing me. Yes, I am not doing real well these days. I've lost what little edge I had and my timing is off.
I am out as of this morning, but I am staying close and will probably get back in soon.
You are right, but I took about a 30% almost hit, ouch.
Hello fellow AMMX fans. Well let's just say that the prodigal son has come home and as in the biblical story I squandered my wealth on a very ill timed investment in a big name computer chip maker. I did a couple of trades and made a little money at first then I made a big mistake with my last buy, buying in too high and then ever since, the stock price has fallen, to add insult to injury, I decided to bail before it got worse, my shares sold either last night or before open this morning, then the price decides to go up, so I lost out on saving a bit more of my initial investment but it is still down significantly from that last purchase point. So, I think I am going to be buying back some more shares here, At least here I don't feel so on edge, even though the price is low, it is pretty damned stable most of the time, not like that other deal. AMMX is going to pay off big in the long run. Lee can do us and his stock a world of good by keeping us informed of exactly what is going on with the audit and SEC application process, the form 10 I think and all that financial stuff, even if there are hiccups, minor delays etc. as long as these are dealt with openly and honestly we will be ok.
I am trying to sell, hopefully I'll be out by market open tomorrow morning, hoping to get 27 a share, going to take the loss and regroup. I bought in too high. Painful lesson here again.
Nope, not by a long shot, this is being taken down hard, with a vengeance, it's going to sink lower than 25, we may see it go back to 19.
Take a deep breath, it's a holiday after all....
If only there was some evidence, some good reason to believe this is true. It seems more and more like trying to catch a falling knife at this point. Been steadily on a decline loosing about a dollar a day for the past 2 weeks. I see no signs of it stopping and or reversing. I may be off here, but one of the factors I blame is short sales, then there are the massive amounts of shares bought at levels less than half of what the high was and people cashing in on 3 baggers of more. I am burned here nearly 10 dollars a share, well, 8 and change, and loosing all hope that the fall will reverse any time soon.
My early morning optimism seems to have been misplaced.
Well, to speak to one aspect of your post, the culture within the corporation plays a role. In many of the companies that I worked for, there is usually a key head or vp of each appendage of the corporate body, there is the production and or manufacturing side, the facilities side etc. and an engineering side. It is important that the engineering department be run by engineers or at least an administrator with a strong engineering background, experience and a good working knowledge of the process and relevant business/discipline he is expected to manage. A political animal with an MBA is not the way to go in a business that relies so heavily upon engineering and research and development.
Good to hear. I am truly sorry for being so skeptical and negative in the recent past. I'm working on that. Full disclosure here, I've been in this for many years, at one point had almost 1 million shares. Due to a financial crisis, I was forced to sell a lot with extremely heavy losses and lost about well over 8 grand in the process. "nuff said? Now AMMX is on the cusp of a major major breakout, but AMMX MUST Deliver on the SEC rating, and the up list to the better market. No more hype about super mega 300 million dollar deals that never materialize and such. OK I have a very busy day today, but will periodically check in.
POSITIVE EARLY trading for AMD. Today could be the start of the climb. Trading is up and seems fast and furious. significant portions of the ASK are over the 29 mark. I may cancel my GTC+ext sell ordr set for $29.40 here any minute .I think, perhaps investors are taking INTEL's news into account and coming to the same conclusions I have. They are spending a billion dolars to pump out chipsa1 and 2 generations behind AMD.
Good morning fellow AMMZer's and visitors/ I just caught up on reading all the posts. It's so nice to see we have some new people on board and it's nice to read positive and enthusiastic posts, very refreshing! I am beginning to come out of my AMMX depression. I need to buy some more shares. I was having a nice little fantasy this morning, that AMMX gets SEC approved, this year turns out to be a record year and then Lee gets us up listed and then the stock sky rockets past a dollar, no two dollars no 5 dollars a share. I get to pay odd what's left on my mortgage, make my will, pay for my final arrangements and rest assured my wife, kids and grand children will have some security, and I can rest in peace with the knowledge that in the end I did alright after all. OK, that's my pipe dream. But it isn't all that fantastic is it? All these great things happen and on a higher exchange AMMX very well could get to a dollar or more, we see it happen with bogus pot stocks and other half baked ideas. AMMX is a real company, brick and mortar in a industry that is now catching fire as our country's economy is booming.
Good Morning AMD people and all visitors to this board. Our stock struggled back and forth some after market and pre market this morning but as of this minute has remained over $28 per share. Some optimistic people on the ASK are at $29.70. Today is going to be a very busy day for me, have 3 different repair guys coming to the house and I have a tractor to work on, but I will periodically check in.
Great article, thanks for posting. This tells me that AMD is a far step ahead of Intel in tech development with their 7 nm chip. I guess we will have to see if the proof is in the pudding on this one once it is in the field. Everything you posted in that article points to Intel relying heavily on 14 nm chip and command codes. So what does that mean if they are able to turn out some 10 nm chips? Are they going to operating with 14 nm commands and instructions? Will whatever 10 nm chips deliver a boost in performance and or reduction power usage" I don't know. It would seem to me that when they start to deliver 10 nm chips that these new chips will need new codes to optimize performance.
If AMD hits a home run with their 7 nm chips, I believe it is AMD that is going to have trouble keeping up with demand.
yes I saw a proclamation that Intel was going to invest a ton of money, but this is not going to bring these manufacturing capabilities online until way into 2019 and says nothing about an improvement on their 10nm chips, although there is some blurb about their command instructions.
Saw an article headline a little while ago about AMD, seems short sales have been involved in the drop.
Hello Mick. as an aside, could you replace your sticky with something more current, there has been a lot very good news for AMD, thanks. To people like me, it is hard to understand how there could such good news and positive outlook for the company and still be experiencing this pull back from the high of $34.40? or so. Do you think it is basically profit taking? I understand that there may be many that got in at very low prices, perhaps $9.00 or lower, bur we haven't hit the $35 mark which was one of the more conservative projections that ranged from $25 to $40 per share.
I see that, we are currently floating around $28.25, let's keep our fingers crossed the climb up continues.
A move of 0.006 for 500K shares represent 3K in profit. And people that have been holding since the pps was 0.006 it's $6k in profit and they have tripled their money.
Probably profit taking, or like Nebula said, could be some one or a few people need cash, or for what ever reason want out. Not everyone has the patience and tolerance to sit in AMMX and watch it do very little even after several great pieces of news. Hell, it's happening right now in $AMD. all the news is good but it's dropping like a rock.
Well, here today is your answer, it's fallen below 28. I'm watching closely today, to see if the downward momentum stops. I'm afraid it's heading to 25.
Very interesting article. I wonder if Teradyne had a shot at this business.
Mick, would you be so kind as to visit the $AMD board and replace your old sticky with something current. If you are not interested in AMD anymore or don't want to continue to be a mod, please take fown your sticky and remove yourself as a moderator, but I wish you would stay and chime in periodically. Thanks. What is going on with Wendy's ut seems to be taking a hit. Why?
I feel your pain, I feel the same way. I'm sick to my stomach over what is happening to AMD right now. I like you got in a short time ago. It was on the way up I got in at an average price of 33.76, it went a little over 34, but has been dropping ever since for no apparent reason. There are all these guys resetting price targets all higher anywhere from 34 to over 50, but so far hasn't achieved 35. Now it seems everyone is bailing on the stock, WTF!?!?! I have limited resources, I'm on disability, I was looking to make a few hundred dollars on a short term investment instead, I;m down several hundred dollars, and all of it happening in a few days, while I was obligated to be away from home and unable to watch and respond. I don't know what to do now. I have to get that money back somehow. I don't know if I should hope it hits 30 tomorrow and bail or what. I'm thinking I might be able to buy and sell a few times carefully and maybe get some of the money back trading on dips and daily highs if you follow me.
Now we have fallen under $29! This is shaping up to be a disaster for me.
JLS."It's not all about the bitcoin miners -- it's the demand from them and the gamers pushing the price up." Exactly.
