Phil: Pump and dump is a form of microcap stock fraud that involves artificially inflating the price of an owned stock through false and misleading positive statements, in order to sell the cheaply purchased stock at a higher price. Once the operators of the scheme "dump" their overvalued shares, the price falls and investors lose their money. Stocks that are the subject of pump-and-dump schemes are sometimes called "chop stocks."[1][2]

During the dot-com era, when stock market fever was at its height and many people spent significant amounts of time on stock Internet message boards, a 15-year-old named Jonathan Lebed showed how easy it was to use the Internet to run a successful pump-and-dump. Lebed bought penny stocks and then promoted them on message boards, pointing at the price increase. When other investors bought the stock, Lebed sold his for a profit, leaving the other investors holding the bag. He came to the attention of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which filed a civil suit against him alleging security manipulation. As is commonly the case in SEC actions, Lebed settled the charges by paying a fraction of his total gains. He neither admitted nor denied wrongdoing, but promised not to manipulate securities in the future.[4]

PS: As exampled in the Lebed case the SEC is a toothless criminally negligent entity...
Phil: He has not been accused of using Ihub to further his penny stock scams
I've seen you write that several times. So I offer up the following for conversation...
Isn't EVO and others accused of using iHub to pump and dump during the criminal conspiracy? Given that Matt is accused of being part of that criminal conspiracy (even a leader), if the accusations and charges are true, then Matt would have been at the least party to the use of iHub for criminal acts, having likely ran interference or at the least having turned a blind eye.
So on a conspiracy basis isn’t Matt being accused of using iHub to commit a crime or crimes?
You know if someone dies as a result of a bank robbery, everyone involved in the commission of the crime is guilty of murder, even if you are just sitting in a getaway car a block away keeping the engine warm...
Jerry Olson: forever,
That would be a smart marketing move on your part. Stirring up exchanges with me or others like me that have your number, can’t be good for your subscriber trolling.
...but send my best regards to AJ why he's over there with you is beyond me...
It is obvious; there is a lot of stuff beyond you.
I can only hope it is “good bye”...
Jerry Olson: We all know that you figured out a way to make money in the markets, thus your constant trolling for new subscribers. And please make it bye bye per your pmail request last month...
Jerry Olson: The same troops that use the brokerage you recommend that allows 10X margin, but requires them all to be flat at the end of the trading day?
Jerry Olson: Didn't you ask me not to post to you ever again via pmail, after I made the post to which you just replied?
However, I looked for your trade claim and maybe there is an earlier one...
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=39048454
...but how could I forget your mantra...that you usually only hold trades five minutes or less and that you NEVER hold over night, you are just a scalp trader.
There are plenty more where these came from...

Then when one of your calls finally goes north, suddenly your holding positions over night.
Just a marketing suggestion, but maybe your trolling for subscribers would be better served if you did not post to me...

plaintif2000: Has dhwco put together a share holder meeting to vote on the BOD or anything for that matter?
It has been almost a month since his "appointment to the board"...
Bruce A Thompson: That has not always been the case on iHub. Maybe the heat of the SEC and DOJ investigation have iHub administration rethinking past biases...at least a little.
Penny Lane: Thanks for digging that post of mine up. The replies I received and the various dialogs that followed did not surprise me....

The replies and following dialog makes more sense now given the recent revelations...
jetcityrandy: The public message boards are filled with mental cases and assholes AND criminals. And now it seems may be in some cases administrated by same.
I've had my share of stalkers over the decade plus I've been sharing my work on SI and iHub and so has ajtj99. In fact, we share some of the same stalkers and assholes...LOL
Why some posters are allowed to keep their accounts when all they do is attack others and NEVER add to the market discussion is beyond me. Their punishment seems to never go beyond having the offending posts removed. That is like making bank robbers give the money back when caught and then letting them go. This is no deterrent to future bad behavior.
However, it seems the priorities on iHub have been skewed in favor of the "bad guys" for a long time...
jetcityrandy: I want to let everyone I know that I am safe but in hiding. LG and I are on the brink of blowing the lid off this penny stock scam but fear for our safety. I have spent countless hours going through past postings here on IHUB and have gotten very little sleep. It could be one big case a paranoia - and I really hope it is - but one can never be too safe.
Where did you get that and why did you repost it? I am not blowing the lid off anything nor is ajtj and neither of us are in hiding.
Maybe that was a post by the alias pretending to be ajtj99, but was actually ajti99

And since you only scalp, let us know when you close the trades today.
redwards: Sadly the dog did not drink or eat what we left him or her. The dog moved away from the tree it had been bedding down next to after we placed the food and water next to the tree.
The dog is hanging out next to a post office bordered by a creek, so the escape routes are endless. I fear we will not have enough time to try your whistle technique before the dog moves on or the pound picks him or her up. However, I will take one with me tomorrow. I'll get the SPCA to assist tomorrow.
Thanks for the suggestion...
redwards: It seemed so, but the Mark Goldes alias must have dumped on me or something after I logged off. What ever it was the Mark Goldes alias has been booted from iHub and all his posts removed.
I suspect it was one of my stalkers posing as Mark Goldes...LOL
Trend1: Sorry, I have no idea what it said. I've been out trying to rescue a stray dog to no success. Once their spirit is broken sometimes there is just no way to get close enough to them to rescue them without help...sigh!
At least we left him/her plenty of water and food for the night. It always makes my heart ache to see animals in distress and be unable to rescue them. We’ll keep trying...
Mark Goldes: As I recall, Zeev first approached me to invest in 1999 or 2000, that makes it at least around nine years ago, maybe ten. So, how much money have you made for your investors to date?
snootmagruder: Here is my latest chart...

rich ruscio: You think someone is going to step up to the mic and say "I fit that description" and let me have it...LOL
cannabis: Bro... you must have missed the part where the Texas DPS Officer near San Angelo stopped a speeder and low and behold the TRANSPORTER was driving...
ajtj: Relax this is tame stuff compared to what usually goes on, on one of the famed iHub penny stock scam threads. Heck you could be having exchanges with five or six aliases that all actually only belong to just one scamster. Kind of like cross dressing experts if you will...gg
cannabis: And all this time, I thought our aliases were hatched...gg
Now off to my own message board for some R&R. It is quiet over there, but I've been told the analysis is great...gg
cannabis: Heck it never made me "no never mind" as I just always thought you were a brother...
ajtj: Now that we have both responded to Mark Goldes, do you think it odd he just happened across iHub and your specific thread today? I know this could NEVER happen on iHub, but maybe, just maybe, someone already a member of iHub signed up for another free iHub account and is pretending to be him?
Naw, no way....gg
Mark Goldes: What timing, you just stumbled across iHub and this thread today?
I could not but help notice, that in all three Companies, you are a primary or at least the primary contact...

I would like to ask you a question. Those folks that took Zeev's advice and invested into Room Temperature Superconductors Inc., just exactly how do those folks profit from their investment if you acquire the assets of RTS (one of your companies) and roll those assets into another one of your companies and you eventually strike oil so to speak as Chava Energy?
jjkirk: That should have read emulated, I must have misspelled and MS Word helped me out on the fly, but my misspelling was closer to the wrong word. MSWord does that to me sometimes and I don't catch it.
I was NOT referring to sacrifice by fire. Man am I wishing I had not made that post...LOL

choad: I can only assume you have been lucky enough to have been spared the ordeal of having one of your email addresses end up on porn and smut providers email lists. I suspect one of my many critics on SI and or iHub helped me out.
However, I have finally gotten it under control with a variety of security and spam control measures. Given what I've been through I would not visit a porn or smut site with your PC...gg
Jerry Olson: By your lead...
Jerry Olson: Yeah man, its moving up at wharp speed, amazing freaking amazing...
rich ruscio: Yes, let's talk about all the young starlets and want-a-be's flashing their privates for the paparazzi and making porn films with their boyfriends uploaded to the internet for all to see for free in an effort to self promote.
The behavior doesn't leave much for the imagination or the lure of the unknown.
Sadly, I am sure the phenomenon is one immolated by many young girls. ....sigh!
I am glad we are not parents of teen age girls during this era...
rich ruscio: Here is a message board on the subject. Scroll down to till you see Chava in yellow and read what one of the poster "Nova" had to say about "Goldes"...(I found that interesting.)

ajtj: The website was provided in that blog...

snootmagruder: Zeev sent that email out (or similar) for years it seems...
clem: I remember when notorious SI poster Tony Elgindy was booted from Silicon Investor. (He was later reinstated via membership vote.) Tony paid someone to create a message board that had a similar look and similar functionality as SI had at the time and Tony's board was free. SI offered no free accounts at the time.
Almost no one made the move to Tony’s new board. Why? IMO, because the vast majority of SI users just did not quiet trust Tony.
Fast forward to iHub and the current SEC and DOJ charges...
I suspect you are taking your cue from Bob Z with respect on how to handle this debacle regarding the SEC and DOJ accusations and charges Matt and others used iHub to perpetrate "pump and dump" scams.
Migration from a message board does not happen overnight. Folks will begin to migrate away from a board they feel is unfair and they no longer trust. By the time you (ADVFN) realize your lack of action was the wrong course, it could be too late. iHub just may be on its way to joining SI as a message board ghost town.
Personally I would love to see the SEC and DOJ campout for a while at iHub as I suspect the majority of the scamsters here still feel pretty immune to prosecution...
