I'd want to to be more specific about what you mean by "flitered", Matt. The way zeuspaul was describing it, the filtering option would be multifaceted on the part of the COB and visible to readers. Is this what you're considering?
I like the filtering idea a great deal. As it stands now, I think the COB concept is way too powerful. There were numerous posts removed willy-nilly on the Porchers thread, for example, and the thread police there gave inadequate reasons, IMO, as to why posts were removed. I like the filter idea a lot, as it appears to give readers the ability to dicern the nature of the Chairman's thinking WRT what is inappropriate, important, etc.
Cool. Thanks marcos. Are you getting spontaneously logged out at weird intervals? Sometimes it takes only 5 minutes here before I'm automatically logged out. The servers are fast, but sheesh!

Hi SE,
I'm glad to see you've set up a futures thread here. I'll be lurking (and asking hideously elementary questions) when the discussion gets going.
I've set up an Options Box thread here too, but have been waiting for Sheriff Bob to ride into town before I activate it.
Anyway, good luck.
Poet
Hey, familiar faces!
Coby, what are you doing hanging out over here? You're supposed to be enjoying life outside the internet. I'll bet it's lovely down there this time of year.
I agree. But I think IHub's gonna have to make naural gas odorless as well as invisible. -g
Dear IHub Bob,
It looks like OMD would like us to help you identify Spam if it shows up on IHub. I've never eaten the stuff (not entirely true, was forced to eat spam stew as a Girl Scout once, but since that was not entirely of my own choosing, I'm not counting it) but it comes in a funny-shaped small can. The word S P A M is written on the can in big yellow letters. And like pornography, you'll know it when you see it.
If you need any further help with food identification, you can find me over at Poet's Corner.
Well well well, it's Officer Bob, swingin' his hips and flipping his baton.
And not a moment too soon, I might add. I'm thrilled you're here, Bob. May your job here be more fun and a hell of a lot more profitable than your last.
Vendit,
I have asked you to leave me alone, both here and on SI. Why can't you do this?
We have been asked by Matt to stay off each other's turf:
http://www.investorshub.com/beta/read_msg.asp?message_id=60951
I have abided by his request and I ask you to do the same. Leave my thread alone, please.
Congrats on your new thread.
I thought that post by Tom DeSouza was very funny too.
Here's my prediction for the day: Do not buy this market.
Who is Vendit?

Who is Vendit???
Vendit is a guy that came over to my thread on iHub and calls one of my friends an SI Boob.
This was unprovoked and uncalled for.
He then tried to have me ousted as Chairman of my own thread. He actually approached IH
Admin (Matt) behind my back and tried to do it earlier than when he made his public attempt
while I was out of the country on business.
He continues with his obsession with Poet by posting to her and when he doesn't get the
positive feedback that he craves, he challenges her on both SI and on my thread on iHub, even
after being asked repeatedly by Poet to not post to her.
He claims to want to use iHub as a place to discuss stocks only, but he came to my thread and
attacked me and my threadmates and it was completely unprovoked.
Clearly he does not want the ugliness from earlier this year to die down since he keeps on
adding fuel to the conflict. Why he thinks he is taking the high road when he tried to blackmail
Poet and provided false information to GZ so that he (GZ) could try to break up her marriage is
beyond me. But if he wants to keep this alive by attacking me and my friends, I am perfectly
happy to keep this going.
As far as I can tell, the only thing that I have done wrong is be a friend to Poet and to publicly
state that I thought that the attacks after the GZ incident should end so that people could get
back to their lives.
It still amazes me that Vendit is deified while Poet was villified for the brief flirtation. I am
amazed that people forget that it is Vendit who made the vows to his wife and not Poet. The only
one responsible for any wrong doing to Vendit's wife is Vendit.
Your move Reid

I see a dead thread here until I threaten to take it. As long as there is posting activity on this
thread there will not be any way that I can take it.
If this thread was placed here in a serious effort to create an interest then the thread's creator
and it's P&F students should post here.
If not Im going to take it.

Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about iHub
What is the Chairman of the Board concept?
The Chairman of the Board concept (COB) is a very unique feature to iHub. We created this
feature because of the wide-spread problem with spam, personal attacks, and bashing without
reason or facts. As Chairman of a Board, you can delete messages, manage the opening
information to the board, manage the e-mail list for that board or club, and add/delete Directors
to help you watch over the board. The Chairman, if he loses interest in the stock, sells, or
otherwise can pass on his powers to a new Chairman. (If a Chairman has become inactive and
you can not get a hold of him, e-mail Support, and he can be replaced). The COB concept was
designed to keep discussions focused, clean, and fresh -- not cluttered with useless links and
bickering. This is a new concept, so make sure you read all FAQs and How To's associated
with the various features! And use them wisely!

Vendit,
Here you are again, posting to me although I've asked you to apologize before I'd respond. You
seem to absolutely crave any kind of contact with me that you can get. I'm getting embarrassed
for you, not to mention your wife, who has been put through far more than she deserves. If you
cannot muster respect for my request, please control yourself for her sake.
My best to you both.

I have absolutely nothing to apologize for. You are the one who has been doing all of the posting
on SI, not I. That is a 100% true and accurate statement.
You seem to absolutely crave any kind of contact with me that you can get.
Really? I came to this forum to get away from you and your cronies. Why did YOU follow me
here??? I invite you to leave this forum and not return.
As far as my wife is concerned; she and I and a group of "friends" have been silently watching
you make an absolute ass out of yourself on SI. We are both just fine, thank you for asking.
Have a nice day.

Why not share some of your market wisdom with this thread and tell us where you think the
COMPQ is going to land tomorrow and why.
Which sectors will lead the way down, or up and why.
Am I off topic?
Poet if you are man enough to answer me, I will engage you.
If your cronies speak for you then I will assume that you are not able to answer me without help.
Be serious or I will consider you a waste of my time.

Click on the Board Manager link at the bottom of the thread header. Once in, find your desired
post and click it's link. Then hit the "delete" button above it.
Now find the link above the main thread box to return to Ihub.
You, JXM and CS all have this ability.

I really do like the COB feature. It must take a lot of complaints off of you. As a Chairman I
certainly find it convenient.

Hi Redmond,
Yes, the Porch basket's performance, like the performance of all high Beta stocks this past year, has been dismal.
I've been keeping a vigil on Silicon Investor, on the original Voltaire's Porch, now renamed "The Critical Investing Thread", for months now. Here's the thread:
http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/subject.gsp?subjectid=29324
Because of this, I'm not going to say more about Voltaire here. I do think that you are making some very valid points and as long as you do them politely, I support what you're doing here.
Take care.
Well I certainly hope you feel better after that ridiculous rant. Why you couldn't have done that privately or on one of your own penny stock hyping threads is a mystery.
I'll bet if it had been posted by one poster to another on your thread, you'd have deleted it. But I'm going to let it stand as a testament to your small-mindedness and twisted logic.
I don't believe in carrying arms, hon. A good sharp hatpin is all I need to deflate the likes of you.
Maybe someday, after I've rearranged my spice rack, polished my shoes, and read all those back issues of National Geographic my mama saved, I'll think about "asking around about you and your lifelong profession".
Now, scat.
When you can tell a putt from a put, we may have a chance in Hell of talking. In the meantime, please play somewhere else.
No, I don't remember you, but if you recognize me, it's most likely from the option thread I run.
Once again, do you have any serious questions about real stocks, or are you just here being an a$$hole?
Are you looking for a comedy show or do you have any real questions about real stocks?
Well Matt, I certainly appreciate your interest in my learning the ropes around here. I am indeed a fast study, and once I learn a lesson, I don't forget it, if ya know what I mean. <G>
Jeepers, how did that get posted twice?
Here's a bit from Thursday night's Hahn report:
"For Friday, March 2: Cancel all plans to buy a dip. This market is going lower sooner or later. The
games being played by the “sell side” are going to backfire. The odds of a major market crash are
much higher in light of the transparent market manipulation at the point of breakdown. An
external shock will shake the control from the hands of the manipulators. Pull all orders to
purchase stocks."
He will update this weekend and I'll post the gist of it.
Hi TLC and cousin shorty! I'm glad to see you've made a nest here and delighted to be a director. I hope this doesn't mean I always have to get the coffee though...
