One million shares today?
BTW
we’re not up 10% and 700,000 shares, at 1pm...for no reason. ??
Somebody got the call ,,, not me... but someone
If CART wasn’t a gazillion bucks a treatment... I’d be excited for it...
Sepsis related to flu therapy... excites me. Sepsis in general excites me a lot.
Back to basics boys! What does CytoSorbents sell that treats the most common killer in the world?
Sepsis! SOC in the USA for Septic Shock folks. Just accomplish that.
Does it matter? I’m in presplit.09 with 900,000
I bought more post split on the way up.
Long ? U bet.
Most significant medical device advancement in 20 years.
Lifesaving, low cost, easy to use, no side effects.
SOC a no brainer
A Texas mother of two died Sunday from flu complications after reportedly deciding that the $116 medication to treat the virus was too costly.
Heather Holland, a second-grade teacher at Ikard Elementary School in Weatherford, Texas, died following complications of flu, leaving behind her husband Frank Holland and two children, a daughter, 10, and a son, 7.
She reportedly started to feel sick a week ago and was going to pick up flu medication. Her husband said she decided not to purchase the medication because she thought the $116 price tag was too high, according to the Weatherford Democrat.
“She wouldn't go get medicine because she's a mama. Mamas are tough. She just kept going. She had a job; she had kids," Holland's pastor, Clark Bosher, told Fox 4. "I think any mom does that. I don't think she is being irresponsible. I don't think she thought she was that sick. It happened so quick."
The husband picked up the drugs himself on Thursday after finding out she skipped on them, but it was too late and she ended up in the intensive care unit at a hospital on Friday.
“Friday night, things escalated and she ended up in the ICU,” he told the outlet. "The doctors got the blood cultures back and they had to put her on dialysis early Saturday.
She died Sunday morning.
1.5 mil + people get sepsis each year in the U.S.
About 250,000 Americans die from sepsis each year
One in three patients who die in a hospital have sepsis
A CDC evaluation found 7 in 10 patients with sepsis had recently used healthcare services or had chronic diseases requiring frequent medical care.
In adults, these common infections can lead to sepsis.
Know the Numbers
Lung infection such as pneumonia (35%)
Kidney or urinary tract infection (25%)
Gut, stomach, or intestine infection (11%)
Skin infection (11%)
I'm sorry... we have a answer to this and its on a shelf in NJ ?
I'm sorry... we might have been able to save your mom... but you know... our insurance is pretty high already... and you might take us to court.
I'm sorry... I know that they use it in Germany... and you have thousand of treatments with the majority saving lives... but... we do have rules here ... lots of forms and stuff... and ... well... Big Pharma... if it can't be swallowed or put in a IV... with a huge price tag... and for KrIst Sakes... Its beads! Just a tube full of Beads?????
SEPSIS
Add all the applications and you don’t out number sepsis!
Fundamentals. Stick to what you know. Companies fail because they forget to concentrate on their fundamentals. Just basic sepsis treatments would be enormous.
Yea I realize sepsis rears it’s ugly head in these other high profile cases
Cover your base first. The rest will follow.
Pick ground zero for flu sepsis deaths. Go to that hospital. GIVE THEM 100 filters for compassionate use. Do the TV interviews.
From Columbus Dr. Compassionate use ?
Yeah. The issue is the hospital having access to the device in the first place and they also usually have to eat the cost which unfortunately is a big reason it’s not done more. Hopefully the trials stay promising and we get full access to it!
Ok help me out here. Septic Shock Sepsis... Cytosorb ...
Is Cytosorb the only "known" treatment for Sepsis?
Is there any evidence that there are ANY negative effects associated with Cytosorb treatments?
Conclusion; IF Cytosorb has no side effects, no "down side" for use in Sepsis cases where the outcome WITHOUT Cytosorb treatment is less then 50/50 Is there some reason that you wouldn't want the treatment?
I sure as heck would.
Why in gods name wouldn't the FDA approve this sucker? NOW
To save people like this guy... and others that are in the Hospitals dying TODAY?
I am not speaking as an investor... I am speaking as a compassionate human.
Die... at 95 or 100. Not at 21 or 61 from the GD flu!!!!!
What the heck is the matter with people.
Scott Gottlieb, M.D. Commissioner for FDA https://www.fda.gov/AboutFDA/CentersOffices/ucm557569.htm
Ya think if his kid was lying in ICU with Septic Shock from the Flu... he might want someone to go get him a Cytosorb Cartridge ?
John Corby , local talk radio host here in Columbus for the past 30 years, died last wee from complications from the flu. 2018 and we’re still dying from the flu. Possibly 50,000 deaths this year in the USA... from the flu.
What the hell !!!!!
I personally believe that Dr Chan and the rest of the CTSO management team has a business plan and is following it as much as it can. They continue to tweek the product... Add users, consult on use with medical equipment suppliers, train clinical techs to administer... then we have the whole Government(s) oversite, compliance, certifications, approvals, geezus.... I'm surprised we are as far as we are now. So Sab... I ask you... where in the priority list do you think letting you know all the details of what is going on behind the curtain falls? You are correct.. PR is weak... but frankly I don't care.
It will take just one substantive release of clinical data... or approval... to move the SP in a substantial way... in the direction you are looking for.
Slow and steady wins the race.
If what we know is true.... the diversification of applications !!!! These little cartridges will be everywhere soon!!!!
Frankly... I believe in the beads. Those who have been impacted in a positive way by their use.. i.e. Survived something that without the beads they would not have... are truly blessed.
I feel so sorry for those loved ones who have watched someone die because they did not have this technology. a crime. And the money that could be saved along with the lives. Relax & Accumulate
I submitted that same question to the Dr Oz show.
Public opinion matters. If the public knew that there was a device that would "help" didn't say cure although I wanted to... wouldn't you want it? No matter what?
IF this cartridge does in fact work on the cytokine storm... It should be immediately available for use in a compassionate situation in every hospital that has the equipment to administer the device.
I've watched the Cytosorb videos and demonstrations on the web... IMHO a YouTube Video...
could provide instructions and examples of use at the very least. There are many other similar products and procedures currently in use everyday in our hospitals that mimic this products use and application. Not rocket science. Not anything that in a life or death situation current healthcare technicians couldn't handle.
IF Cytosorbents can effectively treat an "out of control" flu patient... why doesn't the FDA immediately allow hospitals to use it? Documented treatment option of a device for which you cannot overdose? I mean.. is there ANY downside to using this device? Seems criminal to withhold it from those in need. Criminal.
It’s a $6 stock and will be a $6 stock till they prove it is worth more than $6
Pretty simple. Until then it’s a security to manipulate up and down for profit of the manipulation.
Nothing new .
Smart to supply free demo cartridges... every documented use is one more in our favor. Cheap data.
No downside. Send a couple cases to my hospital please.
Just get a survivor on Dr Oz...
“ I’d be at room temperature if it weren’t for Cytosorb”.
Dr Oz show ...
featuring “miracle cures”
Stuck in the bureaucracy of the 60’s...
while people die waiting for it.
Why?
I bet if the director of the fda had a kid dying of septic shock
That kid would get a cytosorb treatment
Chan takes us out on a lot of first dates
Its all elementary Watson... speculation, wishful thinking... assumption.
Until significant digestable data comes from this company... and the FDA approves Cytosorb ... this is going to be a day traded $5-$6 stock.
Until then... hold if you have the time. Day Trade the highs and lows if you can. I guess be patient. I don't think that there are any aliments left that this filter cannot cure... pretty much hit them all.
In the last 2 days at this facility there have been 3 multi organ septic shock type deaths. Could there be one... two or three very sick patients in the ICU right now that cheated death with the beads? Instead of lying at a funeral home? How sad is that?
Gotta laugh. 600,000+ shares traded by noon!!!
+7%
Not one post here
Telling isn't
I work in a hospital....
Large teaching facility
One of the best trauma centers in the state
One of the best cancer centers in the state
One of the best cardiac centers in the state
Big10
I see the result of sepsis. Many times
Sad to think their life may have been saved by a tube of beads ...
That the rules say they cannot have. The same rules designed to protect their lives is killing them.
How f'd up is that ?
How would you like to hear
That your father died of septic shock because he couldn't be prescribed a blood filter that may have saved his life and had no negative side effects after 5000 uses.... no FDA approval.
Hope none of my family needs it. Guess we fly to Europe if the let us on the plane
Well at least I got someone's best guess.
No apologies for asking a legitimate question.
Been here since 9 cents ... 3 more years is not real good news to me.
Since nobody said that we have anything going on with FDA
I only assume that is the case . Somewhat telling .. at least to me.
Wonderful Andy!
Now... do you know where cytosorb stands with the FDA?
I guess I just have to keep asking. Sooner or later somebody will answer
FDA ?
I've asked a couple of times here... and just looked over the CTSO Website... and I see nothing unless I missed it... about FDA approval.
Is CTSO actively working with FDA to be awarded FDA approval for the use of Cytosorb or any of the 4 or 5 products... that effect patient outcome in 20 - 30 different life threatening illnesses ?
I mean... as I have stated here many times... people are dying to have this product. Literally
Or... is it not the product Ping.. Andy and the others continue to pump?
I have been in this puppy for a long long time... I'd like to see a headline on the 6 oclock news that we now have a tool in our arsenal to fight Sepsis. Isn't that what we have? What am I missing here folks?
Aug 7th 10q states 5,637,145 in sales ending 6/30/17
How many filters is that ? 5600 ? @ a grand each. Has to be data.
22 cents pre split.
Not reflecting advances in the product
And sales!
So good doctor... why ?
Data... FDA approval SOC ?
Andy's cases of the week should qualify us!
Anyone know where we stand with FDA approval?
I mean... the US Military thinks it's worth investing in!
These next investor conferences should be interesting.
Very informative tech! Strengthens my question... why isn't the medical community screaming for this therapy??????
So... how does someone... or some group depress the stock price by 8% then come back the next day and load up 50 cents cheaper than the day before? I smell something
Another Friday..... what will it bring?
I can't spend speculation. Analysts have estimated ctso at above $10
We're currently barely above the split. People a lot smarter than us obviously follow, but aren't impressed.
Based on what we are fed, cytosorb will save thousands of lives... save millions in healthcare costs and give our doctors a tool to hedge treatment options. $5 SP ?
I thought Risk was diminishing... not sure now.
If you are FDA NIH... patient advocates... doctors... and you apply ... in theory... the impact of cytosorb to patient outcome, would you not be screaming for this product? Demanding cytosorb?
I guess it is the lack of data? Compelling data?
The cheerleaders here are interesting and I appreciate the info,
But isn't it about time for ctso to break out? And if not, why not?
It does work ... doesn't it ?
Speaking of NIH... wouldn't cytosorb help with other trials?
Head shaker. Real head shaker.
AMED... not a good example...
running like CTSO.. 2years ago over $8 ...
today $2.37
We are cursed. Almost a quarter of a million shares traded today...
IMHO someone dump'd on non news... trading days like this scream manipulation to me. How do you explain drop of 8% with no news?
Hanging with this stock is tough. Been watching the rest of the market on fire... siting with this is like taking care of someones dog.
It is obvious that the term Fluff is probably right on the money.
What is needed is substantial data ... compelling data and FDA approval.
Until we get that... we stay where we are. Run up a half buck or so... take profits... run it up ... take the cash... wash rinse repeat.
geezus..
Now there is a great question that all of us want the answer to!
Is it that there is no specific data that pinpoints and verifiable that cytosorb did indeed impact patients outcome?
I realize that it takes awhile... but geezus
People are dying ... that could survive or at least have a better chance of survival.
Is their ANY downside to using this filter? I mean... you can't OD on it !!!
Adverse reactions?
Down 6%...... really Ping?
I've never had a stock that went down on good news as much as this one.
Available shares will diminish... supply vers demand will move sp at the markets pace. Slow and steady wins the race.
What's going on today?
When the market is hot on ctso you folks clam up
Geesh
the man does have a point :(
Thanks Andy... this is a great story... outstanding accomplishments in funding development and research...
but I ax you... why SP < $5
My ENTIRE portfolio was red today. Has NOTHING to to with anything other than that nut in N Korea
First post deleted... so all I can say is I've been long and will stay long.
In my opinion this is a total winner. Just scratched the surface in applications.
People 5 years from now will be kicking themselves in the a$$ for not loading up. I got laughed at for buying amazon at 12 when it hit bottom then it went to $10
I bought more.
On one hand cytosorb has demonstrated its ability to save lives on multiple fronts.
Sepsis, cancer therapy.... then we are enlightened with amazing cases of the week and commentary from experts... add to that the analysis of the existing market and potential market with a very robust and diverse audience. Finally WHO stats on sepsis and their intentions to focus on the issue...
... how in gods. And can Seeking Alpha say this is not good long term when it's just now getting traction?
Geesh... down under $5 again. Makes my head explode
