Some action on the lawsuit against Amazon. Just discovery disclosures but things are progressing.
That is a big question and not one I can answer off the top of my head for 23 different lawsuits. The settlements count as revenue less any expenses, lawyers fees, etc. So yes it goes towards share value.
Great news! Took a little longer than usual since it was reassigned.
Yes which means a settlement has been reached. It's the same document as Weds they just put it in the system wrong so they needed to correct it before the judges Order
Corrected court document out! Next we see the judges order.
Exactly, The lawsuits (like the one against Sharp Corp) under the Mariner subsidiary are using the same patents that have already been successful in winning settlements in prior lawsuits. Those settlements took about 11 months. The Sharp lawsuit and other current Mariner Lawsuits are now over 10 months old.
Also keep in mind that if they start putting out their OTC reports. They may add something about the lawsuit to subsequent events in an older report.
The settlement goes to the company not to the CEO. Keep in mind the CEO owns common shares just like we do so it is also in his best interest to have the share price go up.
What do you mean if the owner wanted to keep it low?
Seriously?? We have a SETTLEMENT that has been 4 years in the making. This settlement goes to CMGO!! The settlement will show up in the quarterly report.
The filings will get done if for no other reason than for TAXES!
This is all common sense
GEEEEZZZZ
Custodianship and only 101 million OS
Added again as well. Too low to pass up
Not a chance since it's a dismissal with prejudice. That means CMGO can never refile the case. If a company is just dropping a case they do it without prejudice. When it's with prejudice it means they have come to a settlement agreement.
Mediator selected in the lawsuit against Kyocera.
Court documents say otherwise.
4 year lawsuit settled! Court updates are coming shortly. This is days not weeks for these ones.
Good morning Pepsi! CMGO settlement finally! It's been a long time coming
Thank you! But I love trading too much to even think about it.
Gap filled. I added here
There isn't really a due date. The judge just has to submit the order approving the settlement. That usually happens the next day or two. There is a clerical error that needs to be corrected. They need to refile yesterday's document as they filed as the wrong "event type."
I'm interested to see if it should have been a motion to dismiss instead of a stipulation notice to dismiss. At any rate, like I said it is a clerical error. It may delay it a day or two but I expect that will be corrected quickly.
The settlement will be included in revenue and normally there will just be a simple notice that the case has settled.
Lol the court filings do no such thing but I’m not going to argue with you anymore on this subject is repetitive and pointless
I’m well aware it’s a percentage. My post said that!! It is not a standard percentage and logically it would be less for a few months of work as apposed to 4 years!
Geeezzzzz.
$17,000 buy right at the closing bell! Settlement finally reached after almost 4 years! It's an exciting time to be a CMGO shareholder!
So you think an attorney that works on a case for a few months should get the same percentage that an attorney that worked on a case for 4 years would get? That makes no sense!
The contingency fee is negotiated when the lawyer is hired. The past lawyers withdrew so they get nothing.
Something I just thought of. I believe the attorneys are working on contingency and just recently the lawyer withdrew and Kevin O'Connor took over.
Since he came in so late in the case, just a couple months ago, I expect the fee is much smaller than if he had joined the case from the beginning.
This could be very beneficial to us.
Yeah but now they have the money to pay the accountants and filing fees. It's not cheap to prepare and file reports.
I just sent an email to Glenn Laken asking if we can expect any Quarterly or Annual reports to come out on OTC markets.
People need to remember Laken has skin in the game. It benefits him as well if the share price goes up. I expect we see filings coming out.
The CEO of a public company can not steal settlement money from the company! That's just ludicrous. He would just be sued by shareholders.
It is typical to have Non-disclosure agreements with settlements but as a public company the numbers can be disclosed in Quarterly or Annual reports. I expect now that they have a settlement they will be putting out their reports.
They certainly have the cash to do it now!
Love when that happens! Finally we have our settlement! I'll be watchign for the judges order
That was a beautiful thing to see bb. Someone put up an ask wall and it crushed right at the bell.
COURT DOCUMENT-LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A SETTLEMENT! JOINT VOLUNTARY DISMISSAL WITH PREJUDICE. As I said before, when you see a joint dismissal especially with prejudice (meaning the plaintiff has agreed to never refile the case) it most always means a settlement has been reached. Add that to the fact that the judge had all documents to rule on the summary judgement as of 1/2. If the judge ruled on that they would no longer have been able to file this joint dismissal. Links to the 1/2 court docs are below.

It's likely that the defendants knew they weren't going to win after reading CMGO's response on 1/2 and decided to settle before the judge ruled on it and it was too late.
No that is not true. He was ruling on the entire motion which includes motion to dismiss defendants 2nd defense!
FYI "with prejudice" means that the plaintiff can never refile this lawsuit. This is significant because if a plaintiff was to just a drop a complaint they would do it without prejudice. When they motion for dismissal with prejudice it most always means they have come to a settlement agreement which requires them to dismiss with prejudice.
We should see the judges order on this motion shortly. Maybe even tomorrow. That should give some details.
