Hdwrsft, I find it amusing that people believe public speaking / presentation skills equate to Strong Leadership. In my few decades of business experience, I have never seen any correlation between the two.

They are hiring because they have work to do; tasks to accomplish.
They are hiring because at this moment, they believe whatever work needs to be done - Advaxis will need to do it themselves.
They are hiring because at this time no decision has been made that would change the items on their task list OR the parties that would perform those tasks.
Reading between the lines, the only action that would appear to be unlikely would be a Total Buyout. Partnerships, licensing deals, or other ways to capitalize still fit nicely with their actions to staff up. A Total Buyout where the Buyer would run Advaxis as a separate independent division, and not integrate the company into the rest of its operations is possible but seems less likely.

I don’t feel like reading the proxy right now. In the past Advaxis would propose 7 Board Members and the 7 highest vote getters were all back on Board. There was no way to vote them off. Has anything changed this year? I’m voting against entire BOD but I recognize it’s just a vote on principle.
Iggy, The mistrust issue with O’Connor lingers. When he first tried to get the R/S proxy approved he tried to authorize more than 100,000,000 shares in the recapitalized entity too. That was shot down. Shareholders today can thank shareholders from 4 years ago for that. I would not have wanted DOC to have a blank checkbook like that.
I will vote to give Lombardo the flexibility he needs to negotiate a deal.

Deck, Moore’s options expired a while ago. He wasn’t in on the RSU gravy train except for one Director grant...maybe had 50,000-75,000 actual shares and may still own them.

Indeed Iggy, What I found most telling is how Advaxis was pegged to $3 on the First Day of the General Market Drop. The algorithms were no doubt updated for the down momentum market after that and by Days 2, 3, etc...we now see Advaxis dropping along with the market...

Retention Bonuses:
You only give them if you believe you are going to lose a Key Resource that you cannot move forward without (at least in the short term.) Losing Pettitte would set the company back 6 months at least as they search for a replacement, recruit and hire that person, and then on-board them. It would cost WAY MORE than the $100,000 given to keep Pettitte.
Why Might Advaxis think they could lose Pettitte, Bronson, and Lombardo?
1. Acquisition being discussed where the company loses control (likely means elimination of jobs for Lombardo and Bronson...not clear on Pettitte who could be retained by acquiring company but the uncertainty itself is why you give the retention bonus.
2. Company is being shut down, sell off assets to highest bidder, need the key leaders (CEO, Science, Finance) to wind things down. I gave retention bonuses once when I was shutting something down.
3. Worried Rat DOC will poach Advaxis people (hire old friends)...that's what he did starting with Mayes, then Board Members Sidransky, Bronson too and the IR lady prior to Noelle too.
4. Just so much UNCERTAINTY and the Board wanted to pre-empt a future potential nightmare of replacing one of these key people at a crunch time of winding down cash.
