While Hugo Chavez was alive he basically "banned" American companies from the country. If there are American interests there they under the flag of other countries such as Russia or China. Now that Chavez is gone I'm not sure what the political policy currently is toward the U.S. Hopefully it gets better so we can return. If QOIL is actually there they are most likely being prevented from creating any kind of revenue. Very complicated situation.

There was a report of QOIl trucks in the Orinoco area (presumably moving oil). Our best effort would be if someone is in the area and try to see if one of those drivers (if they exist) will talk. Good luck with that I guess. You can (if you want to) review some of the earlier posts on this site to see the original posting. There are many of us that would love to hear more about this.
Yup, that's pretty much the research I come up with as well. I'm still hoping though. I want a T-shirt and go to Vegas too, like some of the other bloggers are talking about. GLTA.
There doesn't appear to be any hard evidence that QOIL even exists at all. It's wait and see.
You are right mscolleen. I actually expected them to be gone. I think the SEC is trying to clean up some of the "shell games" going on. If QOIL is legit I'm hoping they will file soon and get on with this. I think there is a company there but they appear to be operating in private mode rather than a publicly traded company. Come on Qoil. Don't forget about those of us that have invested money in you.
Still some pieces missing. When I research QOIL's address that they use (it is miss-spelled for one thing) there are two other names that have been associated with suite 350H. Jennifer M. Dean and B&B Oil. A current (?) list of tenants that I have been able to find does not have Qoil on it. Anyone have better or more current info????
Your last line in this post is the key. One of my earlier posts I said that they were being very quiet and very cautious. Probably for the very reasons (and others) that you just mentioned. I have declared this company DOA over the years more than once, but now I believe something exciting is about to happen. My opinion and Best of luck to everyone that owns QOIL shares.
If this company is going to advance I would certainly like to keep the shares I have but what concerns me is that if the info that we are receiving is correct there is a whole different group running this show. What will they do next? I thought they were done but someone keeps tossing out these little bits like the updated website. I'm hanging in there. Might get interesting...might be nothing.
Curious...I see that QOIL has a new website. There is no new info there but they have updated their copy rights from 2008 to 2012. I have been dragging these worthless shares around since 2008. If they are up to something they are being very quiet and very cautious. Watch for a reverse split. Good luck everyone...I'm hoping to come out of this one someday with something.
Here are a few puzzle pieces I have come up with.
*QOIL address in Texas. The address comes up as belonging to the Law Offices of Jennifer M Dean.
*Phone (949)209-8843 is a San Diego area # listed to Health Sciences Group HESG(a Vietnam Company).
*HESG is current in the state of Florida thru the SEC but are not required to report. A form 15 was signed by Greg Smith in 2012.
These are very simplified points. If anyone can add to this please feel free.
IMO...If QOIL is truely involved in the Orinoco Basin it is most probably with foreign money. All the large American companies left when Chavez nationalized the oil industry. QOIL is a very curious situation. In 2010 they basically dropped off the earth. I have just been waiting for them to be removed from my potfolio. Nothing we can do but wait. GLTA
IMO, If the Pr's this company have been releasing prove to be true this stock price will start moving up on it's own. As it approaches $1.00 they may reverse split to make it more attractive to larger investors. I'm holding out hope but at this point all of their posted contact onfo is dead end. They may be at a "grass roots" level or are operating under a new, as yet to be revealed name. Someone is generating QOIL news but Who and Why??? Proceed with caution and GLTA.
...must be a glitch on my e-trade page.
...any input on the big Bid/Ask spread? In the years I've been tracking this one I can't recall such a wide margin.
They have to be incorporated somewhere to allow them to be traded on the stock exchange. They may be operating under another DBA name. I'm still digging for info on them. IMO the way the SEC is moving, this company is going to bust wide open or they are going to be taken down. There is no grey area here. It's just a matter of time. Hope for the best. GLTA

Currently, we own the following wholly owned subsidiaries: Quest Canada Corporation; Wallstin Petroleum LLC; and Petrostar Oil Services, Inc. Quest Canada Corporation was created for the purpose of holding Alberta oil and gas property acquisitions. Wallstin Petroleum LLC was acquired for their management expertise and holdings in Texas. Petrostar Oil Services Inc. was created for the purpose of servicing the oil and gas properties in Texas.
Zoominfo article. I'm not sure when it was written...
I completely agree with the way you ended this post. I know I am dissapointed with the way this stock has performed. It is one of several that I have owned since prior to 2008. It doesn't do to pop in here and start screaming that it's a big scam like some do. If you follow the market you know that the SEC is on a big sweep through the market and are currently takeing down underperforming securities. As long as QOIL remains standing there is hope. I remain positive. Like most of you I don't have much invested in this one but the returns can be great. IMO...Good luck everyone.
This could go either way. When GM collapsed their common shareholders got nothing. On the other hand I owned shares of Masaba airlines when they folded and recieved refunds from them for several years. It depends on how the "company?" feels about their shareholders. You could try and track down the attorneys handleing HOTJ's liquidation for more direct info. I'm hopeing for the best but expecting the worst (total loss of my investment). There has been no PR or any updates on this that I'm aware of and it could take years to get a final resolve. GLTA. This statement is in my own opinion based on personal experience.
If you are looking for signs of life in a company that has been thought to be long dead. An active FB page would be somewhere to look every now and then. Any signs of life there? Not at the moment but the site is current, someone is there. Notice the e-mail address that is listed. I sent an e-mail. I Got no reply yet but it didn't come back un-deliverable either. I personally wrote this company off years ago, but it appears that something is happening (IMO). GLTA...I've got my fingers crossed.
