I kind of expected UCSF would be named as a trial site after the announcement of De Grado being named an ipix scientific advisor... oh well.
Here's DeGrado's research and projects as listed on the ucsf degrado lab website: https://pharm.ucsf.edu/degrado/research
Here are all the covid studies that ucsf is involved with per their website: https://clinicaltrials.ucsf.edu/covid-19.
Neither site references B, and Dr. D is nearly as silent as the other scientific advisors.
"Nice site on the B trial... Possibly Matairie LA is recruiting, can contact them....."
at "IPI Investigator Site
Metairie LA United States
Phone Email
978-921-4125"
The number supplied( happens to be the Ipix Wakefield, MA office #.
There are rumors the cfo is working out of Boca.
Again, that phone number is Wakefield, MA. Something does not compute, and no one picks up- for a LONG TIME now....buyer beware.
Was there a couple weeks ago. Locked up like a steel drum. walked the grounds, it's basically New England swampland, and kept an eye on the building. Nada.
Perhaps the cfo shall update us within days, tis time to spike the sp with a pr to pay himself.
"Long ago. The SRO list is “comprehensive.” Over 9100 companies. How many such companies are there? I agree that IF IPIX was just added it COULD mean something significant. But nobody knows right now. We’ll know in about a week."
They were added to the sro list sometime back in the ctix days(at least a few years ago). Some of us have been here for awhile and likely suffering a bit from "old folks boogie", and can't remember if the "crow" let us know back then.

We need Sidney Powell as General Council.
"au contraire. Posters like me have zero impact on share price.
instead it is the easily identifiable failures of P and B OM that have the price at a quarter. Imagine where we might be if those drugs succeeded.
Oh- and the slow- oh so slow- march to the B v C trial."
I agree with your thoughts.
IMO, the cfo bears full responsibility for past, and current, state of affairs. I expect little from the one armed paper hanger, there are some good one's, but he has constantly shown failure to rise to a challenge(pr's can be "manufactured").
"I think with the information we have the safest assumption is that more than 15 patients have entered the trial. ....."
I certainly expect more than 15 patients enrolled to date given that Russia initiated enrollment in late December, 2020.
Our ceo, former blabbermouth, has become one of few words and information. Some think that's good-not me.
"There is very good reason to believe that the preliminary results are going to be very positive, and if this happens, this thing will explode like nothing ever seen before."
Specifically, what is your "very good reason"?
"IPIX has no debt, MM may have debt, but IPIX has no debt so a bankruptcy is out of the question. Company has issued shares for needed funds. IPIX has no debt, MM may have debt, but IPIX has no debt so a bankruptcy is out of the question. Company has issued shares for needed funds. The small debt IPIX does have on the books is mainly held by insiders who have no ideas of selling (they know what they own).is mainly held by insiders who have no ideas of selling (they know what they own)."
Which is it? They have debt, or not? Can the insider gain from the "debt"? Maybe restructuring "the erhlich loan"?
"I don’t care what Act you throw at me it is quite obvious for security reasons that Leo cannot say much. We are in the middle of a pandemic with no good therapeutic drug that gives one the hope of making it if one is very sick. Brilacidin just might be that drug so let’s let the trials take place without interference and we will see if it works. The whole World needs this."
Yeah. Moderna likely would have sabotaged if they had not remained in stealth mode(silent).

Uh....never mind.
"I am 71. I am not getting a vaccine shot. Hear about too many fairly healthy aged people that die after getting shot so why take any risk?"
What's the definition of fairly healthy, particularly in America? America makes up ~ 4% of the world's population yet , at present, retains > than 20% of covid cases and deaths.
My father, who'll be 91 in early April has had both vaccines w/o issue. So have one of my sisters(case manager/RN), two of my inlaws ((a doctor and a dentist(cancer survivor)), a niece and nephew- all w/o issue. My wife(mid 50's) is due for the her second shot this Friday.
I guess we all assess things in our own way. Glad you made out ok.
"If Brilacidin does become the Covid19 antiviral drug of choice..."
That's a big if. About as likely as if someone picks up the phone at HQ's (Wakefield, MA) anytime soon, or ever again. It's been a long while since anyone has answered. May explain interest and sp.
"Trial start. Yes, Start the Phase 2.". Really? When, exactly, did it start?.
yeah, same old- same old. ph 1, pr; ph2, dilute; ph3, sorry shareholders(not really).
"We aren't likely to have enrolled and dosed all 120 patients in one week. It will probably take a bit longer than that. End of March for results would be stellar."
Moderna enrolled ~30000 patients between 7/27/20 and 10/27/20, a span of 93 calendar days. 30,000 pts/ 93 days =~ 322 pts/day.
If B is as high caliber as we're led to believe enrollment should be swift. Analysis will take time to assess and share with the powers that be.

Thanks for that link, quite interesting.
"...we anticipate starting our Phase 2 clinical trial in hospitalized COVID-19 patients this month,..."
Gotta love those forward looking statements. Remember "P" deadlines and how late the announcement was finally made? I don't doubt a couple posters passed away during that extended time.
I post not nearly as much as you. From what I can discern, few of your opinions have borne fruit. Thanks for the expressed concern, and advice. Will consider it, however briefly, with council.
Thanks for the laugh.
Let's hope for news(trial start) between now and Sunday as promised.
Ya think DeGrado knows he's been named a scientific advisor to the "company"? I think it warrants a call for verification.
Thanks for that post.
"You might recall our discussion long time ago (before Covid) where you likened IPIX to a disastrous vulcano about to erupt and felt justified in warning the 'villagers'. I.e. sell their IPIX stock asap. In retrospect we see that the vulcano didn't erupt."
How long ago? What was the price then when the poster shared those thoughts? Specifically, what date?
"What was the name of IPIX's legal firm which represented IPIX in the Mako dust up?"
Ashcroft and Associates I believe. Represented by Michael Sullivan, former U.S attorney for the district of Massachusetts and based in Boston while representing ctix.
I've talked to Sullivan's office-mums the word. Gone on to Maura Healy's office.
https://ashcroftlawfirm.com/
CTI lists 20 studies under the name "Innovation Pharmaceuticals"
How can that be? Ipix aint one of them.
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?cond=Covid19&term=innovation+pharmaceuticals&cntry=&state=&city=&dist=
If he would only pick up the phone, we might find out.
There's always tomorrow for dreams to come true...
Let's hope the fast track designation is utilized. Since inception this company has shown themselves to built for comfort, not for speed. Hopefully that changes.
Since you brought up otc companies, the following is some food for thought (ipix(cellceutix) is mentioned with a few others).
https://www.nanalyze.com/investing-penny-stocks-dummies/
"Yes, I agree... this should get re-priced a lot higher as the dominoes start to fall:
--trial commencement
--more and wider press coverage
--need for therapeutics
--government looking to fund therapeutics
--short phase 2 clinical trial
--a low bar from the competition
and just look at the market caps of other OTC darlings!"
"“..he's going to destroy the naked shorties”
I hate to be the one to break this to you but there’s no such thing.
The reason IPIX is a pink sheet penny stock is because its CEO is a lying, incompetent, grasping clown."
I, too, have come to believe that the latter is more likely.
"Worst part is when trial kick off is announced, massive dilution with ensue making SP close red."
Yeah, the ceo appears to be a shyster who has a few dingle berries on this board.
"I had IPIX shares in my stocking for Christmas!!!!"
The cfo has been giving shares away to friends and family for years. When he's in a pinch, which is more oftren than not, he sells them at discounts which has no benefit to sh's. Just look at the charts.
Due for a pr(raise) as mid month approaches.
Agree.
My take, management has an animal farm mentality(much like other sectors of society).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Farm
"I know !...I know !....:)...Leo"
Could be right unless he forgot to file his form 4's after selling. He's pretty busy...like a one armed paper hanger;).
"Thanks. I just sent the writer an email with links to IPIX press releases."
I don't understand why The Boston Business Journal (BBJ) hasn't kept up reporting about the company after doing so two or three times a few years ago. IPIX is in BBJ's backyard. The BBJ knows LE. What gives?
OLD NEWS.
The ceo has laryngitis again I think.
Getting time for the first pr of the month to raise money for salary, etc, then followed by one, maybe two, more in ~ 2 weeks for a another raise.
Thanks for the post, I forgot about those.
"What the hell does one have to do with the other? Lol!"
Assume your response is in jest, but for those who struggle with reading comprehension:
12/31/19- lease vacated
~2/13/20: 10Q noting vacated lease and new address
11/26/20: Menon dated patent denoting Beverly, MA as place of business.
Perhaps that's why no one is inquiring?
"Very interesting fairly recent patent
United States Patent Application 20200368232
Kind Code A1
MENON; Krishna November 26, 2020
Host Defense Protein (HDP) Mimetics For Prophylaxis And/Or Treatment Of Inflammatory Diseases Of The Gastrointestinal Tract"
Paragraph of 10Q dated Feb 2020, article 8, paragraph #3: "The Company determined that the operating lease right-of-use asset is fully impaired on September 30, 2019 because of the Company’s current lack of working capital (see Note 2. Going Concern and Liquidity to the condensed consolidated financial statements) resulting in its limited usage of the leased office. The Company has been unable to enter into a sub-lease agreement for this leased office on September 30, 2019.]As such, the Company recognized an impairment loss of approximately $643,000, after recording amortization of the right-of-use asset for July, August, and September 2019 totaling approximately $27,000, resulting in a carrying value of $0 since September 30, 2019. The Company vacated the leased office space as of December 31, 2019, and in January 2020 the Company initiated a lawsuit against the leasor relating to an automatic extension of the lease for the office space and related matters (see Note 15. Subsequent Events to the condensed consolidated financial statements)."
Sloppy, as usual.
"Dr. DeGrado is a very busy and respected researcher and professor I am sure he is offering sound advice to Leo. But I would imagine traders and flippers would love to suggest otherwise."
I'm sure he is. I'm beginning to wonder if he knows he's been named as a scientific advisor to this company. I believe he's been "quoted " once since his "announcement" as a scientific advisor. Few pr's released by this company ever come true.
Must be a New Yorker thing.... tell them what they want to hear.
Hope for the best I guess....we'll see. In the long(years) meantime, this almost appears to be the likes of a J.R. Rowling story.
"Is Dr. Marc Eckstein, medical director and commander of the LA city Fire Department EMS Bureau in on the scam?"
I'd say no. Doesn't mean others'(deniers') aren't.
"Serious question to anyone, with only 120 patients needed for this trial, why is there a need to spread it out over multiple sites including overseas! Wouldn’t it be much easier and quicker to focus on just a couple sites given that there is so many patients everywhere!"
I think only the ceo can answer that question. Galera has a phase 2, 50 patient covid trial(intiated on 9/9/20) for their drug GC4419(same drug in OM trials) at 2 trial sites. CT lists primary completion date November 2021 and study completion date as December 2021.
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04555096?term=galera&cond=Covid19&draw=2&rank=1
"The stock rallied to .65 on much lesser news...."
I would not define that as a rally, rather a rise after a timely pr pump which seems to occur a couple times a month. PR resulting in higher than average volume for a day or three, then wee wee, all the way back down.
I guess so.
Hopefully the tide is at it's lowest and we'll be lifted off this sand bar soon. If it goes any lower we'll take on water and could be sunk.
"Is B-OM still alive?"
Good question. It appears the scientific advisor(S. Sonis) for that indication caught a permanent case of laryngitis from leo and has not said boo in a long time.
Galera is still running trials for OM with their drug GC4419. They also began a covid trial with the same drug in September 2020.
Alot of competition out there- let's hope ipix wins.
