Dread
Good post..You're certainly dialed in on the info "super highway" makes me want to know more about testing results of the Tahoe particularly emissions...Hope that Big Hog Tahoe runs really CLEAN...back to snooze
Nobody Buying...
Nobody Selling..seems everyone is waitng on the sidelines for the "moving forward in dramatic fashion" stuff
Zendo:
Here's to hoping that "Picking up the Pace in Dramatic Fashion" means they sell something prior to the Next Annual Meeting or get request for orders and can JV with someone...
Zendo
I can only speak to the last post. The CXO guys are local- I work in an office park about 400 yards from Torvec ( Vern's House)...The CXO guys have been parked there since signing on..Agree with you other takes and I have the same questions concerns as you..One thing about the Annual Meeting when Jim G takes Q & A, well to say he's confident is an understatement with comments like " Where else are they ( The OEM's Big 3) gonna go. we got the goods"...This is far from a competitive vacuum- plenty of other smart folks out there working on these very issues ( milage, emmisions etc)
Market Cap
eroding here of late...The CXO folks better hit a home run with their next PR or they won't be able to crow about that accomplishment much longer....I think it will have to be a sale of some technology- Test results on their own won't give us anything sustainable..IMHO
Atl:
My heart is not weary, but I will cop to a bit of a headache with this one...:)
ATL...
Totally agree...The last 8 releases have been more "position statements" than factual in nature..Once the quotes come from Third Parties gushing about the technology- then we've got something...
Dread:
If you are long, you have every reason to feel the way you do...I understand and can appreciate the justifiable pride the family has for VG's engineering prowess and accomplishments to date, but the game has changed to one of a marketing mode. We can only hope the reason nothing has been consumated to date is discrepancy over valuation.Everybody I know who invested here that comes from engineering backround believes there is TREMENDOUS value to be unlocked here..I believe that too- but can they do it..This is the last round of management changes that will happen with me on board- it is time to deliver shareholder returns
Great..now
call up Zexel or whoever is manufacturing the Torsen- do a presentation and sell the patent rights to them for some bucks and we're on our merry way with the FTV.....( Can you tell I'm in Sales ???)
Would really like
some PR..it's been a little too quiet..need something to chat about- testing, partnerships, anything...
Dude:
I drink enough Labatt's Blue to float a battleship
Hey Dread..
great stuff-The article deals exclusively with Ford and their challenges-makes me wonder if the Fact that we're testing a Tahoe, implies GM may be looking in a different direction with respect to the milage and emissions challenges of the SUV market..I would love to be a fly on the wall @ Vern's house for just one week !!!!! Jim G's quote in the EPA rebuttal mentioned "overwhelming support from some in the automotive industry..." I know they've said this type of stuff in the past re: Chrysler and Cummins- O.K, who else??? And When they gonna pay ya....They save money, potentially make alot more money, and give the consumers what EVERYBODY wants- better milage and more environmentally friendly car???This is at times beyond maddening.....Not good for the blood pressure...
Dread:
Wasn't my theory but I'd like it- I haven't really studied the NASDAQ listing requirements but doesn;t a company have to have some sort of revenue stream prior to listing- Either way I'm long and will stay put for awhile longer-TOVC and new guys have to give compelling reason for people wanting to purchase shares at this price i.e a licensing deal, or total sale..Next big step is Tahoe numbers- keep your fingers crossed
Regular listing...
would be sweet- but some eye popping numbers on the Tahoe would be even sweeter- that's probably 6-8 weeks away minimum?? something like 30-50 % improvement- than everybody in Detroit knows who they are, what an IVT is, and we shareholders start getting a little more love..
Let's hope
it's good news..I can't get over how much
economic and political forces are aligning
in TOVC's favor..it's just a matter of valuation IMHO
Dread
???? re:last post..
Any guesses
as to the timeframe and release of data on the Tahoe testing?? After the Dodge Ram it should not be like starting from square one or is that not a correct assumption..
Leitrim
From the article....
<We're going to need to look at all the areas -- both material costs and the structural side," he said in a subsequent interview. Mr. Henderson, who took over as GM Europe's chairman June 1 after running GM's operations in Asia, said he hadn't had enough time to determine where further savings could be achieved>
I got a few ideas for him.....
From their website..
<Since 1882, the Dow Jones name has been synonymous with accuracy, integrity and trust.>
Well you had a good run better get a new slogan..........
Couldn't agree more
Dread...
great read -thanks..Chinese are concerned about pollution levels and increasing dependence on Foreign Oil due to increase in SUV demand...As ole Marv Levy used to tell his Bills before a game.."where else would you wanna be than right here right now"...( O.K now no Bills jokes- we suffered long enough)Interesting stuff when considering an FTV with a TOVC Transmission and real solutions to such an enormous market....Keep em coming...good stuff
Leitrim
This is barely trading..
as I thought a month or so ago- also in very predictible ranges..The flurry of PR's has dried up too..We'll know by Mid Summer if Silence is indeed golden.......
Dread..
Another informative post - thanks..I don't know if you've ever been to a TOVC Annual Meeting ( I'm local and have been to last 3) but the one thing that always comes across is the Gleasman's strong confidence in the market superiority of their technology..I'll admit a little frustration when the stock was under $1 and they were singing that song, but now it appears as economic, political factors are really aligning in their ( our) favor..Engineers don;t always make the best sales people ( no offense intended to any on our fine board :)- so I view the Billows/CXO engagement as real positives...The proof is in the pudding and I still have a 2-3 year timeframe to determine if this can get airborne..When/If that happens there will be a lot of jubiliant people in Monroe County and beyond...
Regards
Leitrim
Dread..
<Don't know about you but I laugh when I see someone driving a Hummer these days. Got to have more money than brains.>
Isn't that the truth...Even some of those folks will start to get a little frosted when they're paying $2.15 at the pump come Labor Day..The timing could not be better for the IVT introduction IMHO..I would expect folks @ TOVC and Billow are busy
I don't think..
will see this trade much at all this month til EPA stuff is released..could be wrong- am quite a bit !!! just think longs are holding and traders are weary in their guessing direction..
Good post
Thanks...Everybody seems to want power AND milage...bodes well..Chrysler ever been to Pondview Drive????
Nissan
to introduce 30 new models from 05-08...maybe one of them will have tracks????
I'm
always happy when the Dufus posts- he clearly knows his sh*t on the technology
Ditto..
Torvecian you know me under another handle on Raging Bull which I've abondon. not due to our Pal
just the minutia of the content...I'm long and not going anywhere..This is better format..
Leitrim
Spoke too soon...
( I have a habit of doing that!!) gave most of it back today...but man does that ever trade..Not a good stock to be if you care about sleeping....Hope we have something to talk about in the next few weeks re: TOVC ..
Leitrim
Would you
look at Freakin TASR..up 8 1/2 to 122 + change???!!! What a freakin rocketship..If TOVC could get any lift remotely similar to that, I wouldn't be a 20 handicap for long- would have alot of time for practice..Commercialization of the FTV I think might have parallels as it is all about potential market size and lack of viable competition..
Not much new
in latest 10K..If there is I didn;t find it..time to hit snooze...
Leitrim
Have to agree Dread..
The last one was not a newsworthy PR, it was a "position paper" from the former Chairman of TOVC. It will take something concrete to move this upward from here- for now it is a trader/shorter's stock..Leitrim
Hopefully..
but I'm with Dread..Don't think we'll see much additional pop without a PR that has $$$ attached to it...Waiting and watching
Doesn't seem
to want to fall- I've been checking all day!!! I'm with you guys- there has to be more exposure from Billow/Butler and or CXO on the Go's activities that is driving this up..I.E it is not just these recent PR's that is making this move IMHO..Either way it is fun to follow !! I dont know why I watch as often as I do- I have no intention to scale back my position until we are way in double digits..With fuel prices the way they are-The next release ought to get a big splash whatever it says..Enjoying this board
Leitrim
Been long since
1999-not a fortune but a meaningful stake for me..While I'm ususally not a very patient person, the thing for me that creates a certain comfort level is that, with the FTV and the IVT- they are so far ahead of the game -v- possible competition..
That business plan from CXO has to read almost like fiction..i.e "you mean you want to build a Billion dollar business from scratch in three years.." reality is the G's have been at this for quite some time and have had a lot of road blocks but still have no debt..I'm really bullish that this is going to explode like TASR- when is the question....after five years- I can wait awhile longer to take profits
Leitrim
Dread..
When do you think demand for the stock really pops- The EPA Determination/verification or if/when Billow Butler lines up an OEM to take a piece of the technology- just curious as to your take..Now for pipe dream stuff-with the right headline what could this run to??? 20's-30's or higher??That is what longs have been dreamin about for over five years...
Thanks in Advance for your thoughts...
Leitrim
40 years...
mean I've only got 35 years to make a buck??? I'll be too old to enjoy it..!!!
Dread...
couldn't find the survey, but I'll answer here..If I was an OEM-I'd be more concerned with making/saving money than saving face.I have no idea, but I would bet that is exactly is going on behind the scenes with Billow Butler- Individual Meetings with the marketplace- Interest has to be there but "now, how do you compensate The Inventor"- The concern is how long they can drag out the process..I would bet this will all play out on the IVT prior to July-one way or another but It ain;t gonna be for $7.50 a share....Leitrim
I get the NIH factor- I really do..BUT If one of the Big Three goes this direction to the exclusion of the other two (which would take huge balls- I'll grant you that)they would be forging huge competitive advantages for the foreseeable future on milage and emissions..That's all it would take for this to blast off-perhaps that is what has been going on behind the scenes for the last 4-6 months. I suppose we'll have to see..
