Anyone who has been here any length
of time should be skeptical, for the simple
fact that Torvec has never hit anything
close to their own stated timelines..(save that
one time when they delivered their only
FTV sale to the Air Force a week early.)
We never heard another word about that
development so that seemingly layed an
egg? I know this is still a
development stage company some 9
years after they said we no longer were-
I wanna see them pissed,
motivated, embarrassed?? They should
be. Who can take solace that they have
been resourceful enough to survive..? Is
that why you all invested here..? Not me.
Amen. Agree with the sentiment . This guy
Is a marketing executive that's in
the Rochester Business Hall of Fame. Sadly
One has to conclude he doesn't feel he has
Much to work with...??
Ah that near future caveat...been here since 2000..discovered the future never comes with respect to TOVC...It's always today.
No Kidding..
We supposedly have a marketing wiz at the helm now, and this it would seem, is marketing 101. Perhaps when tested the bracelet
"literally breaks into pieces" ??
Sell it to Apple-
they know how to
develop tech quickly and get
It to market. TOVC- not so much.
If it is Golisano, you can back up the hearse..
Yeh, Feel sometime like the GM who drafted Ryan Leaf, don't ya...?
This has really developed into one
of the most boring of development stage
companies.....no news. No trades.
at times I miss JG's public pipe dreams..
Atleast there was drama- not real accurate
But entertaining....
Apparently that giant rock
That JG and others had "pushed up
that very high hill" back in 2004, rolled back
the same side and impaired all the vocal chords
of anybody that could have reported the failures..
Down to hoping that Kaplan can salvage something out
of this in the next couple years.....
You have the perfect
tag name for this Stock, Mayday !!
Dick, you might want to drop some data on this exciting new product you have an exclusive on, I mean before you have 5,000,000 sheets of toilet paper for the house...??
It's a bit of a stretch...
To think the Chief Technology Officer
Leaving a development stage
Technology Company.-
this far down the road either
his decision or their's as a positive..?
You hear those crickets too???
Tom- save us from ourselves!! :)
Both are good
questions for our Chief Excuses Officer.
Sulax..
If you had attended the Meeting, I believe you would have concluded sadly the same thing I have. The CEO has changed from Chief Embellishment Officer of the past to our current Chief Excuse Originator..Almost 20 years later and they're still just wishing and hoping...
See my earlier post..it was pretty much dead nuts. But put 2016
In there instead..morbid curiosity brought me there. Only
Highlight was Resch calling the lack of insider buys from
A BOD of multi-millionaires embarrassing and pathetic...?
Kaplan is unimpressive to me. More apologist than dynamic
Leader...2 more years to.
commercialize something ..5 more years before you're
Dancing a jig
Here is what you're likely to hear...
1) "we're making great progress in the development of our
products"..
2) "we have 'overwhelming" interest from many companies who are
excited to integrate these world changing technologies..
3) 2015 should be 'a very exciting time' for Torvec and it's
shareholders
Meeting adjourned.
It's Official..TOVC is the most boring investment
in America...ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Well he is a philanthropist..
another act of Charity...??
Been advised that Kaplan feels...
he is in the 3rd year of a 5 year plan. Given that..what's the point of following this ?? I suppose they could shock us and commercialize something prior to that timeline. But when is the last time Torvec surprised us with something that positively impacted shareholder value...?
Amen...solid take.
Can't stomach another Annual.
and to your other point- yep it's a salvage and retrieval mission
at this point....
" My quote " is from the January
CEO update ..copied & pasted in fact.. But
You prove my point -keep your eyes on the
Pea..what shell is it under..? If you
can stomach another Cass Larga trek they'll
Push it out to 2016/17
..posted of course with the caveat that there is no implication that Tom G is a sucker-although I most certainly was when led here by a friend of the family who truly felt this was a can't miss opportunity
He was a P.T. Barnum that's for sure...
but not nearly as smooth? what intrigued me was the thought of a local company that had a diesel transmission that reduced fuel consumption by 20-25% in everyday driving. I figured I didn't know crap about the industry but hell, even I could probably sell that to someone. Now 8 years later, that product isn't even on the radar screen...maybe if They were in the audience the past 14 years instead of the podium- they'd realize how disjointed the message has been. Hoping TG brings accountability and results measured only through shareholder appreciation to the mix.
To date we've all lost..in spectacular fashion
..I'm hopin he's a white knight/Robin
Hood for this chunk of dead money . Take it
Private- you can have my shares for $4.50.
a share..hopin a rising tide is coming - that
He knows what's really goin on..not the
sanitized safe harbor bs we're left with..you
know what they say 'bout rising tides- all boats
Get lifted- the yachts and the rowboats. We're
On the same page- you and I.
That would be very uncharacteristic
of him. I'd be hard pressed to
think of anybody, in my lifetime
who has been better to the Rochester
Community than BTG- starting with PAYX
shareholders- most of whom were
common everyday folks-friends and family
that initially supported his vision.
He's put, what 11 million bucks into
this? That's not a drop in the
bucket , irrespective of one's net worth.
I've met him a few times and am always
struck by the fact that he's a regular guy,
Who took risks, worked hard and
was rewarded. To think that his goal
Would be to screw long time commons
To fatten the bank accounts of
the BOD- all of whom are multi
millionaires.??..I don't see that happening.
I only have one wish- that he's very, very
Impatient to see a return..EOM
The more skin he has in the game, despite the delution, probably
the better for us..he cuts to the heart of the matter, and is
used to getting returns on his investment..Graham is his nephew,
More like a son though..they are less likely to continue to
wait for the never ending engineering, testing
cycles of the past few years....hold DK and Co.
Accountable for monetizing something in
our lifetimes...
May they have a product in the market before
"Series Y preferred stock" is issued...please God.
Is there a happy medium
with respects to shareholder communication? Meaning somewhere in between The hyperbole/fantasies of the prior CEO and the "we're all exceptionally busy, should never have been a publically held company the last 15 years so I'll ignore those of you who have held dead money for all that time".. i.e 'see you in June for the Next Meeting'..???
Agree Fadeaway..It's like the word "potential"..
like a Buffalo Bills Q.B post Kelly?? lots of "potential"!
Talent/success "not yet realized".?? Seriously doubt a shareholder will ever be able to say "Now it's our time finally??!! Most of us are hoping for a salvage mission-not some once in a lifetime rocket ride, the fact that Kaplan is incentivized at the $3-5 a share range leads to the conclusion that the Board of Directors isn't expecting any moonshot either..
Sorry Man..only clicked once....
Well he's of the opinion..
that this should never have been a public company
at this stage of the game. Perhaps he's just decided to treat it like it's privately held. Sure seems that way; which sucks for us...(LONG term holders looking for just a nugget of hope ??)
At this point I'd be happy
if TOVC sold a dinner roll.....
Kaplan's forte is supposedly marketing..
Here's a thought
Even though it's not on the front burner, once more capital is "found"- I would make another FTV and paint it camo, then give it to Phil Robertson to drive around on Duck Dynasty Show in the woods..They'd sell 50,000 of them the first year-@ 90,000 a pop ???...I'm really not joking
Spidey Senses if ever had..
were replaced by rigamortis- oh about 2008...
Another year in the history books..
and TOVC is still a development stage company. The more things change the more they stay the same..
Amen..
If you're still here, despite what management feels about their shareholders, I think you have the patience of Job.
