Here is a first for you on this board Vincem. "YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT".
It looks like investors think they will get it cheaper after the RS. They might well be right.
After 11yrs of watching APDN and reading these boards the one thing that has been consistently wrong is charts predictions. That goes for going up and going down. And we have had many experts tell us they know how to read them.
SP
We were crowded in the cabin
Watching figures on the Board;
It was midnight on the ocean
And a tempest loudly roared.
We were watching the quotations
With a certain sad appeal:
Some were short in General Motors,
Some were long on U.S. Steel.
And, timidly a tourist
Took a chance on twenty shares --
"We are lost!" the Captain shouted,
As he staggered down the stairs.
"I've got a tip," he faltered,
"Straight by wireless from the aunt
Of a fellow who's related
To a cousin of Durant."
At these awful words we shuddered,
And the stoutest bull grew sick
While the brokers cried, "More margin!"
And the ticker ceased to tick.
But the captain's little daughter
Said, "I do not understand --
Isn't Morgan on the ocean
Just the same as on the land?"
I'm betting they go the whole hog.
But then they will still have too many shares. They will not settle for anything less than 60:1 in my opinion, they don't want to have to do another RS a year from now.
I think its a MM Bluff. The volume is way too low to be much else . Back down on Monday? We will see.
I have a terrible feeling your prediction might be wrong Pasta.
I don't think any of our posts could be described as raising hell.
Its very frustrating Shail . The qly results made no difference and as usual neither did the conference call. Someone said they were pleased it hadn't gone below .10 I wouldn't be surprised to see it below that by the end of the week I think sellers are holding out for some news but they might not want to hold through the weekend. Time will tell.
SP
If they are withholding sensitive information they aren't doing a very good job of it. lol I'm not sure that bodes well for future sensitive contracts.
I'm not doubting A1 Shail what I said was "if what you say is true" I wasn't questioning the truth of A1s statement. I was saying that I didn't know if it was truthful or not as I had not seen any information personally. I didn't know about the MDA phase 11 award back in May because to be honest I go weeks without reading this board and then don't take the time to catch up even on a daily basis I don't read them all. Following this for 11yrs on a weekly or daily basis for the amount of profit I'm seeing from it just doesn't stack up and the wife would like it.
apdn1mill most of my investing has been done on the London Stock Exchange so I have to say that I don't know all the rules or lack of rules on this exchange. To me if what you say is true, on the LSE would amount to withholding price sensitive information . Is that not the same here? Wouldn't insiders be able to trade of this info? Wouldn't that be insider trading? On the LSE new contracts have to be announced immediately and to be honest every investor who wants to play on a level playing pitch would want that. I would have thought?
SP
apdn1mil I might not be following you quite right here. But are you suggesting that APDN has mandate expansion news (for 5 more fscs) that they are waiting for the time to be right to announce?
This might well have been posted before but its worth another airing http://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/121.asp
SP
Everything is relevant. Those that have owned this for a couple of years might see the growth as slow and steady. Those that have owned it for 5yrs or more might see it as very frustrating.
Lol. I remember 10yrs ago Shail the discussion was the same on the raging bull board.
I'm wondering if the uplist is just BS to get the RS done?
Unless they have dug themselves so deep into a pit that they think the only way out is to borrow more.
Fingers crossed they have something to announce in the morning! It would make a nice change prior to one these conference calls. As it is I'm not sure that they have ever been much use, but hey if we're not worried about spending why not
SP
Yep its a big gamble for sure Shail. The RS news has left us with uncertainty .
I was reading through some of Vans posts the other day. He was buying at some high prices and he wasn't in favor of a RS at that time. I kind of hope he got out of it without a loss. We could do with a golden something right now. A Golden news release would work for me.
If the volume is anything to go by then I'm not expecting any earth shattering news come Monday.
"You shared what Debbie said". "We believe its better for shareholders".
What did you expect her too say?
The question is… Better for existing shareholders or for the new shareholders?
I think they will have no choice but to back the RS. Lets face it, without it APDN are in trouble. I'm actually for the RS as far as the company is concerned. As far as I'm concerned, as I have said before the odds of winning big have now changed and I don't like the new odds.
Thats interesting, someone must be thinking the votes going to be tight.
I'm not even going to reply to that rubbish.
SP
Yes, the reason I changed my mind was the RS. I don't think its worth taking the gamble of letting my stake (profits) ride through this period. I always thought that I would sell at $1 or loose the lot. After all I'm playing with their money. But that has changed . Now I don't like the odds!
I was lucky with APDN I made a great profit with it and reinvested some of that profit buying a bunch at.04 then when this board was going nuts with people buying in the 20s I resisted the urge to do so and posted many times that I thought anything over .11 was not a good buy, even got my posts removed for saying so if I remember right at one time. Vans used to go nuts with me for even suggesting buying in the high teens was not a smart move. I feel sorry for some I remember posters recommending it to family members and others getting into debt to buy it . I also remember the conference calls where investors questions would be answered . Yep one investors question. thats how much importance they gave to us.
No I'm not shorting. I'm just looking for an out, my .07 is not looking so good all of a sudden so I'm happy to move on and take another look after the RS settles down. To be honest with you right now I can think of a few things with much less risk than APDN to invest in. In my 11yrs I have been through some tough times with them but unto now I always thought the huge upside was worth the risk. For me that upside has gone.
SP
Yep time will tell, it will be fun to see how it works out, as I have said before I have owned this for over 11yrs and I have never looked on it as an investment, it's only ever been a gamble and I'm playing with profits. Thats one of the reasons I don't like the way Macsharkey jumps all over someone that hasn't researched this as much as him. Who in their right mind is going to spend hours every week researching a penny stock that at best is a good gamble? Its Beyond me. I would love to hear others opinions for or against rather than see them bullied off the board.
Good luck Pasta I hope it works out for you.
SP
Ehhhh I don't think so Pasta . I don't think they are trying to scam investors. The current investors are just canon fodder. I think vincem has it about right when he says "RS then they will start all over again ''DILUTING' . I don't see any point in risking my profit through the RS and I don't think any other private investor who is in profit will either. The only ones that will ride this out are those that are already down. We have had some great news over the last couple of years that saw us make our way to the high 20s and back down again .They better have some great news or figures if they are going to survive in the big league.
Here is what vans had to say about the thought of a reverse split.

Reverse split would devise ate apdn and push away many investors and kill apdn future IMO
The reverse split Mcsharkey is what we call in the UK a flush. They are flushing out the existing shareholders. At .10 I don't see the stock falling much below .08. At $6 I can see it loosing 30-50% in its first week on the Nasdaq.
In my opinion.

I have been around here long enough to have witnessed your outbursts before. So your apologies don't count for much.
Yep! I remember the golden cross haha.
Could someone please explain that post to me because as a limey I don't understand a single word of it.
I was never going to sell mine in the 20s . Its kind of win big or lose all with me and APDN. I have some of my profit from when I sold out at $1.20 years ago invested so I can't lose on APDN whatever happens . I will either sell at a $1 or lose the lot, it's a nice position to be in. But I'm not that keen on the loosing it all bit. Its a gamble nothing more and nothing less.
I wish you luck Shail at least you have a pretty good average . Hopefully you will be okay in the end .
Good luck
SP
I'm with you Shail, I couldn't careless about todays fall . But when I look at the big picture I am concerned and I feel sorry for all those that bought in the 20s. The stock has plummeted from the high 20s through every support barrier it has reached . I'm still showing a nice profit but this will be the first time that I don't buy more at these or lower levels . I'm happy with what I hold, but I'm not adding this time and my opinion still hasn't changed we have another 6 - 12 months to wait to see if APDN really can pull it off.
Best of luck to all
SP
PS Could we see .08 again? You betcha.
