LOL does the sun shine all that much in Sweden? Why worry about UV up there in the far North.
No doubt Buffet is successful, and I see he is primarily long in his holdings. My guess is however that he landed on a stock back there somewhere that catapulted him to riches. Also, either he has bought all his holdings on credit, or he had to sell pretty regularly along the way. I think he wants people to buy, it helps his portfolio.
sash,
"To fund these transactions, the company entered into an agreement with certain institutional investors to issue $22.2 million of senior unsecured notes, and five-year warrants to purchase up to 25.6 million shares of the company's common stock. The senior unsecured notes will accrue interest at the rate of 5.0% per annum, subject to adjustment, with interest payments commencing March 30, 2013. Interest on the notes is payable in cash or shares of the company's common stock, at the election of the company, provided certain conditions are met. The notes will mature on March 30, 2016. The warrants will have an exercise price of $0.52 per share, equal to a 58% premium to the per share closing price of the company's common stock on the date immediately preceding the signing of the Securities Purchase Agreement."
The exercise price is $.52 sweety.
Dittos AG.
No shame in your .26 exit. Stick to your game plan & I bet APDN has more such opportunities in coming weeks.
My fooler was thinking 10K would hit 12/10 or couple days after. Made me sit on my hands during last pop then when I tried to bail at .30 I was too late by about 10 minutes and it dropped like a rock (If I would have placed my sell limit at .29 I would be a happy camper even now). Piggies get fat, hogs get slaughtered as they say. I live to fight another day, and 10K can't be far off now.
By the looks of the share price today the penny pumping is over for this round.
COME ON 10K!!!!!
AG,
"~10M in earnings for the 2013 and let's say half of that will be a profit, 5M in profits for the 2013"
Not sure what you mean by 'earnings' versus 'profit' in your prediction, but I would bet that SG&A alone will exceed 10M.
Actually, I was referencing the invitation only investors' conference on Thursday, which happened at the very same time penny pumpers were doing their thing. I was speculating that a couple more finance deals would come thru similar to to the 9.5 million deal last month. This would be dilutive to us because new stock would be issued. These guys are not going to buy millions of shares on the open market and they want special deals, hence my statement about their wanting the stock price to go back down so they can capitalize (as big boys do in these special deals).
If the investors said "Looks like we would like to get in on this, BUT not at .30. Sure would be a good deal though if the stock was at say .20. Give us a call if it goes back down".
See what I mean johnsyn? Hey, if 10K comes out before any finance deal announcement I will be happy. If price goes down & finance deals announced before 10K then it smells.
Your theory is plausible too. Won't it scare the "investors" away if the 10K is released before they have a chance to lock in a low share price though? Why would you buy in after a pop in stock price? APDN apparently could use some more cash or why do the conference?
I still think APDN is sitting on the 10K hoping the share price will drop down so as to entice the potential "investors". The penny pumpers are cramping their plans a bit.
Yes, I agree, it's taking an unusual course today (low volume yet steady climb instead of pulling back). I would take this as a good thing, signalling steady buying going on. I expected 10K by now, I can only take educated guess that later this week it will be out. The 10K can only have a positive effect on share price, so if we can maintain $.26ish we might very well see that $.30 resistance blown away. GLTA
I was mad because I missed selling at .29 or .30 at beginning of session today, but hearing about the trajedy in Conn kind of makes that not so important in comparison. Defenseless innocent children, so so sad for them all.
Hey, you guys who have the tools, what is APDN doing in premarket?
First, I am pleased to be invested in APDN.
But, my take on why no 10K yet:
Holding off release intentionally until after the investors' conference to allow them to buy in at bargain basement with newly issued shares and put more money in APDN coffers. The release of latest PR's was supposed to grease the skids for the investors' conference.
Only thing that has gone not-to-plan is the penny pumps the last couple of days that have popped the price up. Hope not, but this may further delay 10K so stock can be manipulated back down for the "investors" entry point. Don't forget this is a penny stock with lot's of stock out there that has been diluted many times for operating cash. Don't be deceived into thinking that the great doctor has stockholders' interest at heart my friends. Play it as smart as you know how and that fits your trading style!
Someone tell me how the investor's conference helps me? Would not these large institutions get special deals complete with newly issued shares that would dilute mine?
I'm sorry, but the handle "ShiddyMcDiddy" makes me laugh. That made my day.
Sure, they can DNA tag the fake shoes so they know they are authentic fakes, haw haw.
One can look at it as resistance, OR one can look at it as support. You know, the old glass half full or half empty. I think it is support, regardless of the occasional dip down into the 17s.
I dont think insiders can buy/sell this close to reports.
7th comes and goes no announcement, 10th comes and goes no announcement, most stocks never cease to tease and taunt the traders/investors and it seems APDN is no exception. tee hee hee, not going to scare me off yet.
Umm.
Went to APDN website & tried the link to their SEC filings, could not connect! Could mean my computer is hosed, OR could mean they are currently updating the linked site with a 10K perhaps.
If they don't offer some kind of outlook for 2013 then stockholders will be in the dark, but I don't suppose they are legally obligated to do so.
I do believe this: If we are looking at 20M projection I bet they ask stockholders for a reverse split to get the price up around $5 to draw in institutions. That will lower the O/S and make company more attractive. I also bet they will begin to entertain buyout offers.
We need to remember that they have much sales outside US and US gov.
I'll throw this at ya.
2.6 million 2012 + 10 million 2013 gives pop to .30 settles back to .27.
3.0 million 2012 + 20 million 2013 gives pop to .55 settles back to .48.
Perhaps, maybe, possibly, hey if it can hit .30 from a penny pump then it should be able to hit .50 with a 20M outlook coupled with another penny pump. At least for a day or two before a pull back. Lot's of shares out there though. Tell you what, I second your motion, let's hit .50!
Yeah, I can wish I was a size 6 but I'm not, I'm a size 15. Still, a size 30 is a double for me so I won't be that upset.
I totally agree, since we already know the revenue is growing like a weed. But I suppose if there is a large holder that needs to exit right now for whatever reason, then that's his call I guess. I DO NOT think we are looking at anything dissapointing in the 10K so any sellers are either misinformed, not paying attention, or they have financial needs and goals of their own choosing.
Well, if it just blows on thru the 10K station I'll just have to get off at the next stop.
I suspect I will come back and board again later. Need to diversify and do some other trading though (I'm a minnow in a big ocean). Banking on .30 plus here, would like to see .50 but seems to be some headwinds. It's great to see revenue climb as it has but I have a little healthy concern about bottom line right now (lots of traveling to shows, costs of financing, expanding, new hires, etc). I am dying to see the 10K because I think it will be the most revealing report yet coming out of APDN.
Waiting for APDN to pull into the station so some of us can get off. All my luggage is on the APDN express.
Disclaimer: I do not currently own PEIX.
But if I bought @ .31 I would sell today an take my profits, just sayin based on history.

A little premature for that discussion.
Several similtaneous events which are all bad.
-Gold at $5,000 per oz.
-Hyper inflation.
-Major military accident with deaths due to counterfeits.
look for a five bagger for now.
WT,
"Specifically, the American-designed, Chinese-made Actel/Microsemi ProASIC3 A3P250"
You're kidding, right.
Total revenue 2012: $2,600,000 +.
Does anyone remember 'apdn1mill's post today. Why no excitement. Are you all bored with financials in favor of being detectives about who worked with who.
"Dr. Hayward will receive an initial annual salary of $225,000, subject to annual review. Dr. Hayward’s annual salary would be increased to $350,000 per annum after the first quarter in which our revenues exceed $1 million. The Board of Directors, acting in its discretion, may grant annual bonuses to Dr. Hayward."
I haven't seen any posts on here about the million dollar qtr. Doesn't anyone here find that newsworthy and wonder how much over a million it is?
1) I was just kidding around about the status of APDN employees/directors (plus I felt like piling on).
2) The year ended September 30, so none of the recent financing applies to 2012 fiscal year.
3) Biggest of all, we now have confirmation of a million dollar qtr (ref: the Dr.'s big increase).
Can't wait to hear the outlook for 2013 so my stock can give me a merry christmas!
Wait till he returns from his lonely lunch and finds his office in the utility room next to the noisy furnace.
Maybe he voted against the bonuses so he was no longer welcome. He is a civil engineer anyway.
Well, at least the Dr. makes more that the federal employees he was working with now.
Could be waiting to see what tax changes are for next year. Cash bonuses pretty safe this year during fiscal cliff turmoil.
