"Maxim Group LLC is acting as Lead Placement Agent and Imperial Capital, LLC is acting as Co-Placement Agent."
Not knowing a thing about Imperial Capital LLC I browsed a bit. While very Broad based, this particular page regarding their Heathcare Expertise, especially their "Institutional Pharmacy" focus, caught my attention.
https://www.imperialcapital.com/vContent.aspx?PageId=services-02-k-9
What's an "Institutional Pharmacy" you may ask...
"there has been an increased emphasis on provision of care through organized health care settings. As a result, an increased number of pharmacists now practice in hospitals, nursing homes, extended care facilities, neighborhood health centers, and health maintenance organizations.
http://www.aacp.org/resources/student/pharmacyforyou/pharmacycareerinfo/Documents/Hospital_Institutional.pdf
Pure speculation, but perhaps clues of what to expect? And perhaps incentive to discount. Can't wait for the PR.
Uh, I prefer the previous look but I'll sleep on it.
There is Forensic and there is Forensic, Authentix...
RK, you have been doing one heck of a job lately, many Mahalos. Your last link to the NYT NBTY/AG article provided a bit of a surprise for me. Not sure how or even if it will effect things but...
I knew NBTY was part of the New York AG investigation but I had no idea that NBTY is owned by the Carlyle Group. The same Carlyle Group that owns Authentix. A well established player in the authentication business, yes, pharma too... do they do "Advanced DNA, YET? Good question.
http://authentix.com/industries/pharmaceuticals-medical-devices/
And what about GNC's, Nature's Way's and the others? Would they consider working with their competitors brother? And would Carlyle use anyone but their own experts? Should be interesting.
Again,
Thanks for your efforts.

Disappoint? Well, it would be nice, if only. Thanks for your prompt reply, wouldn't want to upset the market of that parallel universe... ;)
If true, this could be tremendous. RK could you please provide source(s)? Link or anything else.
Mahalo,

If so, it appears to be old news...
Bam! Thanks. These people, and I mean the entire corporate empire, smell rotten, audit after audit their sub standard practices in all their business seem apparent, including beyond textile, their substandard pipeline business in the US. Here's something pretty recent on that... Hopefully it wont take a major fault and or fatalities before something is done about them.

And despite all they continue, more profitable than ever. Wonder how they do it?
More on the cotton issue. Here's a link that actually included a DNA mention in it...

More about Welspun, this is historical (about 5 years) but not the latest. I thought it played well into my hypothesis, specifically all their verticals are suspect. We're fortunate this latest fraud didn't cause massive fatalities, this time, but what of their pipe business? (BTW "Pipes" are among the top 3 High Risk Items according to the DLA).
And where are we in all this?
Google: "cotton authentication", what do you think?

It's a bit like being called-up from AAA ball. The Big Show it is, and have you noticed, not one word of "counterfeit". It's just good business, the world is our oyster...
Thanks Barmorr, I'd be surprised if it didn't lead to sales although I believe our man Bob is a more engaging speaker/sales person. Hope, at the least, he is in attendance.
Sourcing Journal Summit, Tues., September 20th in NYC.
Appropriate enough...
The US Department of Transportation needs to do take a closer look at their due diligence, IMHO.

This whole affair makes one wonder just how honest Welspun has been in its other endeavors which could potentially cause a hell of a lot more damage than some shitty sheets. A few headlines from their site...
Thanks Hock, and it appears this is just the tip of the iceberg, wait for the other shoe to drop. Cotton Corruption on a multi-billion dollar global scale! It should, at the very least, generate some RFI's from other retailers, manufactures and growers.
GLTA
If I'm not mistaken they are The largest capacity DNA supplier, three time over by recent reports...
Hayward said that we now mark FSC 5961. kinda of passed over it. I'm pressed for time but worth a re-listening, pretty sure I heard it right.
FSC 5961! That's news to me. Much bigger category than 5962, perfect compliment to microcircuits.
We shall see Mr.Big, here we go again.
And now, we are below the pps at this time back then...
Oye.

Aloha Randy, nice to know you.
My wife and I live on the Eastern most outskirts of Haiku. Wet, windy and wild upcountry rain forrest on Makai side off Hana Hwy. Twin Falls area. Next time you're headed to Hana or Paia we must meet up.
Hoping our ships comes in.

And yes, I believe APDN is and will be in some royal battles, particularly given the growth of alternative forensic competitors, some we will win others not. I believe we have advantages, patents, experience, and broad proven application across the societal spectrum of things. As they say, "A rising tide lifts all boats."
Mike, Mike, Mike...
Mele Kalikimaka? Nice thought but "Mele Kalikimaka" is a Hawaiian-themed Christmas song written in 1949 by Robert Alex Anderson. One of Bing's Best Hits.
A hui ho (until we meet again +/-) or just Mahalo (thanks) are a bit more appropriate :)
