Some factual clarification seems in order.

Anti-Counterfeit Electronics, Automobiles Packaging Market To Reach $24.2B, Globally, By 2020
September 24, 2015 12:55 PM by aftermarketNews Staff
It's got to start somewhere. Given the "risk based" approach embraced by seemingly all "anti-counterfeiters" and the fact that electronic parts and assemblies are considered to be at the Highest Risk level for counterfeiting within the DoD, it's understandable that electronics come first. And while we wait for expansion into other "High Risk" FSCs, DFARS has its own expansion plans which include Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) electronics and otherwise previously exempted suppliers. Will the industry be swayed? Will it lead to more business for us, will it have a positive effect on our pps? I don't think much, if any, short term, but a rising tide lifts all boats and I do believe counterfeiting is a growing concern for a much larger audience.

Just a taste of things to come re: 818.
DFARS proposes to include COTS (Commericial Items) and add, or at least make more clear "Non-CAS" contractors responsibility. We haven't heard the end of this.
To be published Monday, 9/21/15 in the Federal Register.. or see it now...

Nice entrance Johnsyn, glad to see you still engaged. Exciting news, looks like Vandalia Research could open a few doors, although judging from their web site, things seem to have been dormant for some time (also looks like some info may have been deleted): "We are working to put more information about ongoing and past research projects online. Please check back soon." Very interesting...

Mahalo A1,
Here's the link to the APDN page for those interested.

New(er) "Customers & Partners".
While not included on its page dedicated to "Customers & Partners", you can find additional associations/clients on APDN's Home page:
http://www.adnas.com/
Just scroll down, beyond "Home Asset" info and forward click the "Customers & Partners" banner, you will see new companies that prior to now where not previously included. I'm not certain when they were added or just what our relationship/work entails but it's nice to see broader acceptance/interest. They now also include: CCL, Siegwerk, Collins Inkjet, Markem-Image (which we knew about but had not been previously listed), The Challenge Printing Company, The Label Printer and Creative Labels Inc. I don't believe any info, with exception of Markem-Image, have been acknowledged before. Looks like interest is picking-up, hope it leads to some additional revenue in the not too distant future... wonder why no info (PR) was ever released (or have I missed them?)
Hi Mike, sorry I can't hold a candle to your computational skills but thought this interesting. According to my Fidelity posted "Analyst Opinions" page, "APDN Equity Summary Score" is currently at "6.4 or Neutral". That's up from 0.02 (or so) a couple of weeks ago, at which time it was considered "Very Bearish". Looks like we're headed in the right direction...

not to mention the "breakout session" devoted to DNA Marking scheduled to follow the presentations, and accepting we only get to see the "releasable" info, and, as A1 said, there's no competitive solution disclosed, I'm much more positive on the release... although my expectations were somewhat lower than yours to begin with.
