Just spit balling n idea. Trump mentioned selling them or a rumor of it. What if they spun off the the commercial or multi unit part if the company n sold that? Then big banks could get part of the action, so politicians they lobby might get on board, call it restructuring company "big change" refocus on single family helping low income blah blah. Use the money to help recapitalize, safeguarding tax payers. Just a thought.

After all of this and listening to the arguments, I'm actually becoming more concerned with what could happen if nothing is done to stop this, NWS. Let's just say the defense holds up and they get to keep the GSE's in conservatorship purgatory. When does it end, never? Another crisis occurs, this time they get a bank.. keep that in limbo forever. Why? Why not? Right now they have banks over a barrel charging whatever fee they want to take these mortgages. Now they have a loan originator "bank", with whomever in charge at the time , not accountable to anyone, because as the judges pointed out there as been 3 or 4 temp n full fhfa directors, so the president has had some say somehow. So would he be able to change the terms of your home loan? Not take your home ,just u owe us your home loan forever. Ya know buried in the small print if the 100 papers u signed to purchase the home. Add in "Terms n rates are subject to change" if its not already . I know it's a long stretch to get that far but this feels to be a very slippery slope.
