Check out the websites of Bevo Agro and Forty Foot Farms. They are not scams. Jack Benne
is a major shareholder of Bevo Agro and Urban Barns. His venture into Forty Foot Farms was solely for the purpose of promoting and marketing Cubic Farming. They are all legitimate. We all share the belief that cubic farming has great potential. We now have resources to start selling the idea. I wrote to the CEO of Forty Foot and suggested marketing to restaurant and supermarket chains and he responded they have a marketing department that was working on that and it sounds like their reach will be international. So, to me, it's just a matter of time. I keep buying more URBF. If McDonald's can be sold on regional Barns/Farms we should be $1 pps. Just my opinion. I strongly suggest we all hold long.
I agree, news is coming. The news will be that Forty Foot Farms has a contract wit a major restaurant chain.
Why such low volume? I can't understand.
No management?
Can you imagine regional Farms/Barns for McDonalds or Burger King? Why not?
Welcome and good luck! Let's hope Forty Foot Farms catch on! Let's hope we see some promotion! I think Jack Benne knows what he is doing and we are along for the ride.
Forty Foot Farms (http://fortyfootfarms.com/) is probably the best thing that could happen toURBF. They were doing nothing with their technology except growing some lettuce for retail. At least now we have access to the resources of Bevo Agro (a successful international company) and they have committed to advancing the franchising of cubic farming. It may be a long shot but at least its a plan. Without the promotion of of our technology we were going nowhere. Can you imagine McDonald's buying into the concept of Forty Foot Farms?...or Chipotle's or Whole Foods? I believe Bevo Agro will supply the commitmen that was lacking before. URBF's future is from its share of franchise fees not from selling lettuce to restaurants. I would love to know the terms of their agreement with Bevo Agro. Jack Benne is a long time principal of both Urban Barns and Bevo Agro. He is our best hope. I bought more today. Good luck and keep the faith!
See also http://fortyfootfarms.com/. Maybe this is the beginning of something good. I wish I knew the terms of the royalty agreement.
This is dated yesterday but didn't seem to impact price at all.

Anyone have any facts/statistics on amount of prescribed opoids that are phisically altered/abused?
Flounder.
Current bid size 221,088
Where did these come from?
ITEM 3.02 UNREGISTERED SALES OF EQUITY SECURITIES
On February 26, 2016, Urban Barns Foods Inc. (the “Company”) entered into a debt conversion agreement with its President, Chief Executive Officer, Secretary, Treasurer and sole director, Robyn Jackson, pursuant to which Mr. Jackson agreed to convert an aggregate of Cdn$14,325 in debt into 1,302,272 shares of the Company’s Class B common stock (the “Shares”) at a price of Cdn$0.011 per Share. The Company issued the Shares in reliance upon the exemption from registration provided by Rule 903 of Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”).
The Company’s reliance on Rule 903 of Regulation S under the Securities Act (“Regulation S”) was based on the fact that the Shares were sold in an “offshore transaction”, as defined in Rule 902(h) of Regulation S. The Company did not engage in any directed selling efforts in the United States in connection with the sale of the Shares, and Mr. Jackson is not a U.S. person and did not acquire the Shares for the account or benefit of any U.S. person.
Dilution occurs when they are Issued. At that point they are counted as "outdtanding" and become part of the market cap formulation.
No. if you give the CEO shares, or convert existing debt to shares, that dilutes. URBF has done both recently.
Counting chickens before they hatch?
Down 33% on a $14 trade? Can someone explain?
The volume is pathetic.
Link, please.
Can they authorize more shares? They did the RS without shareholder approval and they (insiders) have enough votes in any event. Who are the leders? I am trying not to give up on this stock.
If the lenders exercise their option to convert debt to shares, where do the shares come from?
Please provide link for the 8-k.
When is 10Q due?
Good observation. I agree. We do need news. I hope its news about royalties from Bevo or some big increase in earnings. Since Jack Benne is a major holder in both Bevo and Urban Barns we have some real possibilities.
I don't see Dundee playing any big roll. The big worry is if they decide to dump. I would like to see Bevo buy them out.
Why is the "ask" price frequently less than the "last price"?
You're right and Bevo has to pay royalties if they market the technology. But Bevo has the exclusive right to market "cubic farming". This is not necessarily a bad thing because Bevo is a fairly large international enterprise and has much greater resources than Urban Barns. Incidentally, Jack Benne is the principal owner of Bevo and, except for Dundee is the largest shareholder of URBF. Also, he was a founder of Urban Barns. What I would like to know is what plans does Bevo have for the technolgy and what are the royalty terms of their agreement? I am optimistic that the licensing agreement will ultimately work out to Urban Barns' advantage. I am just prepared that it will be a long slow process.
Bevo Agro now has "an exclusive, worldwide license to use the technology"
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/urban-barns-foods-inc-announces-222400597.html
The technology has been assigned to Jack Benne and Bevo Agro. Urban Barns is pretty much limited to growing lettuce.
It's good to see OCAT/ACTC interest here. Astellas has the resources to bring Lanza's vision to fruition.
I paid .24 but only bought 50 shares. I was just experimenting immediately after the split and that was the only "ask". Scottrade is still not trading URBF normally. They haven't received new shares from the transfer agent. So I now own 50 shares at 24¢.
Has FDA "accepted"'Elite's NDA yet?
The 72 days is measured from "acceptance".
Scottrade (URBFD) still shows price of .032 and volume of 50, but bID is now.03 and ask is .04.
No activity for URBF
On Scottrade URBFD shows a price of .032, volume of 50, an ask of .32 and a bid of .03. 10:39AM
I just bought 50 shares of URBFD @ .24 through Scottrade. It shows up as a new position for URBFD. My original position for URBF remains unchanged except shows as URBF##
Can't post a trade on Scottrade.
