Thanks guys, looks like someone just took a big bite out of those at .245, I'm seeing 17054 left.
What's level 2 look like after the 2500 at .24? I'm not at my laptop so I can't see.
Yeah, moving back up.
Observing what? I didn't realize something was going on today.
Hollycoop! What is your take on the January 4th Bungie brief submission? We have been waiting for someone's legalese take on this event. It seems that there was no 30-page max brief filed at all on that day. Or was it not made public because of settlement talk disclosure?
That is a great idea, how do we make it happen?
I mean, I know they won't be viewable. But do they not show up at all?
Do documents not set to Public not show up?
You could be right, I just don't know from a legal standpoint what they are required to submit for a briefing document or if they don't have to file one at all and can just upload a bunch of old documents. The one new document I did find was an updated list of exhibits but I would've expected a separate document that explains those exhibits. And if they don't file anything then what happens next? Worlds had until February 8th to file a 30 page max reply so if no brief from Bungie then Worlds has nothing to reply to by that date.
Does anyone with legal knowledge on this board know what's going on?
Maybe, but after reading the transcript from the call on 11/12/2018 it is very clear Bungie needed to file a 30 page maximum brief on their stance on the CE/IPR issues on 1/4 and I cannot find that document anywhere in the 1/4 filings.
Well, I just triple checked every upload from 1/4 and no 30 page (or less) brief on the CE/IPR issues. Only new exhibits.
One interesting read is the transcript from the call on 11/12/2018:
Exhibit 1051 - Conference Call Transcript
I can't remember if anyone had analyzed this but the outcome really did go in World's favor with no new discovery.
Make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off, I had the same issue. The new filings are actually all old documents. You'll see this once you are able to open them.
They uploaded more than 30 pages of previous documents then.
Correct, max of 30 pages not required number of pages. I can't even find 1 page of new material though, it's just a bunch of documents from the past.
I did my non-legal analysis and all I see is a bunch of documents uploaded on 1/4 but from last year or longer.
There are about 10 - 12 other documents posted there from 1/4 though. So just trying to figure out what it all means. I thought those postings would be a huge event so I'm just shocked nobody has done an analysis yet.
See post below. I have found all the documents that Bungie has posted on 1/4 but I was expecting a 30 page brief in the IPR/CE issues but did't fine one. The date was court mandated.

Anyone take a look at the docs posted on 1/4 yet? This seems like something the lawyer types on this board would be all over and analyzing, no? I took a look myself and I don't see the 30 pager that I believe we were all expecting (unless I'm missing something).
I meant reviewing all the legal documents that Bungie filed on Friday. I looked through them all and I don't see a 30 pager explaining their point of view on RPI or CE that I was expecting. Most of the files are old documents.
Thanks! What address shall I send the shiny nickle?
So who is going to take a stab at breaking down the response?
That is a great question to which I do not know the answer to but I am offering a shiny nickle to anyone who can post it first as it will make for great weekend reading material.
According to the schedule set out Bungie's 30 page brief is due today:
Current Date December 29, 2018
Proposed Date January 4, 2019
Petitioner’s Brief re: Collateral Estoppel and RPI
A shiny new nickle to the 1st person who posts Bungie's 30 pager today!
Yeah, I'm super-excited for this 30 page read over the weekend. It will be more telling then almost anything else we have seen in the past 52 weeks in my opinion. We will get a very clear view of where Bungie stands.
Based on the new timeline we should see the first filing by Bungie tomorrow, January 4th, correct?
Somebody asked the other day whether mobile apps are covered by the patent as well or if it was only desktop/console apps. In my opinion as a software engineer background the patent is "client" agnostic. That means it doesn't matter what the client hardware is that runs the app the user is using, any client hardware is covered under the patent because it is not specified.
Now, where I see this as a bigger opportunity then before is that there is going to be a huge ramp up in new client hardware in the next 5 years. This includes Virtual Reality devices such as Oculus and Augmented Reality devices such as Hololens and Magic Leap that will prompt new types of apps that will be used by Enterprise clients that weren't in the picture before as well as consumers. Add in these Enterprise clients and this greatly expands the market the patent covers. For example, the US Army just signed a $500 million dollar deal with Microsoft to use their Hololens in various wartime scenarios. What are these wartime scenarios and simulations? Basically they are Call of Duty!
The apps for these devices are forecast to grow to $100 - $200 BILLION dollar markets in the next 3 - 5 years and they all use the same concept as the patent. A client, other users that will appear as avatars in the user's environment and a server that will relay avatar information between the clients.
Only issue I see: when does the patent expire?
From today's Activision press release:
"Mr. Durkin replaces Spencer Neumann who was terminated for cause for violating his legal obligations to the Company."
Not sure if you can read anything into that statement in regards to WDDD lawsuit.
It is New Year's Eve and not sure how publicized this is. It seems to say clear as day that there are settlement discussions and that Worlds is asking that those settlement discussions not be made public at this time.
Wait, what?! Does that say settlement negotiations?!!
Maybe Bungie is throwing in the towel and they have worked out a settlement with a PR to come out Monday morning. One can hope.
Anybody find out if it was posted today?
That is how I read it, a company can only use the same accounting firm for 5 consecutive years.
So 5 days have passed, only 25 more days (or less) until we see Bungie's filing. Or is it 30 business days?
"If worlds evidence (the contract) will not be permitted".
Was the contract already submitted as evidence? If so, it should continue to be evidence that World's can use in their rebuttal briefing, no?
Right, I'm very much eager to see what Bungie's brief says. If they are somehow able to talk their way out of this with zero evidence I may apply the same strategy with my wife on why I stayed out at the bar so late.
I think the difference here is that the onus is now on Bungie to prove that they are not RPI. They are not allowed to submit new evidence. They have to submit an argument that they are not an RPI. They can't just say "Hey, you guys said we weren't an RPI before so let's just go with that. Whatdya think?".
What argument do you think Bungie can submit with the lack of new evidence that would prove that they are not an RPI?
Hello everyone, new to the board and relatively new to cryptocurrency but a friend turned me on to this one. Is using a wallet the only way to buy this right now or can I buy this in my e-Trade account somehow?
Yup, agreed. And it seems like it will take big news to move it up, not an announcement about next court date. It will take something big from the IR firm or a settlement or something I'm not thinking of. Until then you are stuck in this stock unless you can find a buyer around .25 - 27 or you want to sell cheap at .22
At one point I thought there was some malice/forethought to his posts and I agree he seems to say the same thing over and over but I don't think he is trying to tank the stock or day trade it. I think he just likes to stick to his convictions and stand up for himself. He makes a lot of sense and isn't near what I have seen some people do like Alpha who just bashes.
