Yep. Bitcoin should settle above $4000 this week.
Yeah they are and etfs will likely be bitcoin related not pure bitcoin. One real point the article made is that once more investments become available the premium ok gbtc will drop significantly. I believe that to be true. Got a ways to go however.
More ETF's on the way. Story

Amazing how quit the board gets when gbtc holds up.
I don't have the ability to do private messages. Got your message. Don't know anything about that other company. I pretty much don't do pennies anymore. I look for cheap undervalue, revenue generating firms.
Everyone has been there. Don't beat yourself up. Plan the next money making buy. Study your actions but don't dwell on them.
Well that remains to be seen. Most importantly he felt a need to get out and we should respect that. Places like this should be for positive support and sharing education. Im hopeful it goes back up but I respect those that left too. No hard feelings on my part.

Each person has their own limits. Clearly you felt better about stopping your loss. Good for you. Don't let anyone tell you you were wrong etc.
I sold some shares a few months ago when it dropped bigtime and ended up buying back in the same day. Stock doubled from that point. Sometimes it's the right move to sell sometimes it's the wrong move.
My only advice is to keep an eye on this and other stocks. Keep leading about your stocks and how they move and why. That's how you get better.
FYI I couldn't pm you yesterday.
I doubt folks will go back to waiting 15-30 years for a return they can get in 9 months with bitcoin or gbtc.
Interesting article on why bitcoin and blockchain is better. Now you know why The CEO from JP Morgan was mad.

Big banks are afraid of bitcoin

Here's why big banks hate bitcoin.

Definitely could be back up in the 800-1000 range again in six months. For good or bad six months is a lifetime in gbtc and bitcoin. Technically it could double, then drop back down and go back up in six months. I know it's hard to take a loss. I've up big time (600-700%) so these dips costs me "tens of thousands of dollars". Sometimes on a daily basis. Just set your exit point and go from there. Gbtc is a bard stick to follow and be in. It's not like other things here on the otc. This has turned into a big investment big payoff along with lots of volatility.
Gonna be a minute before that happens. Let the dust settle and bitcoin settle. Have to get through the China mess and the NYSE decision this month. Then things will stabilize.
For now just chill out and try not to stress.
True. Look at the trades. Lots of people selling less than 10 shares and you're seeing big buys 25, 50,100 shares. Us sellers outnumber buyers but I see speculators selling and investors buying. Just my opinion based on eyeballing trades amounts.
You'll be fine. This will be trading in the $800 range again.
Just rattling the trees. Shares changing hands today.
Oh I agree. Just saying this will be ugly for s minute. If nothing else the part week is showing how thought bitcoin and gbtc really is. They has called fraud, fake, bashed by so called top analyst and trolls. It's fallen but it seems to be related to china closing its exchanges.
Sept 22 will be a turning point. I don't think gbtc will be listed on NYSE (yet). But market awareness is at an all time high so the next run will be epic.
Gonna be an ugly couple of days until the China thing settles.
Dot know how much the statements really have on things so it's interesting to see a mix of bad reviews and China.
#hypocrite- This CEO bashes bitcoin while his bank embraces blockchain technology to aid his banks declining revenue(- 20%.)

Yeah that was funny. It will crash but it will also go to $100k.
That was about a nothing statement. Basically he hedged his whole statement. "It could crash but it could also go to the moon".
One thing we know if the Market listening to this is that gbtc is now "out there for the masses". If it's dropping on stuff like that then imagine what happens when bitcoin starts to ascend again.
Yep. The problem with the yuan is that the government has been manipulating the yuan. People want another way to store value that isn't controlled by the government.
Look at India and how it pulled the low denominations of bills. They are in chaos and looking to bitcoin. Imagine f the USA got rid of all currencies below the $50 or $100. Crazy to think a country could do that but they had to to control things there I guess.
Yep! I suspect they will change their minds once they figure out how to regulate its impact on the yuan
Ok cool! Was just wondering. I've got no complaints.
Thanks.
They can but they can also likely purchase from exchanges outside of china unless china puts up a firewall to prevent this. The ban really limits new entrants who aren't big buyers in the otc market. Otc markers there require significant dollars (I.e. $400k) so the ban really hurts small investors.
The ban has more to do with protecting the yuan currency than it does with not liking or believing in the currency or technology.
Who is the moderator for this board?
Been wondering who is it that moderated this board and post news worthy stories etc.
Anyone know?
Actually I think it's s smart move. I've been wondering when someone or something would start taking bitcoins as a donation. It's super easy and likely advantageous to all parties.
I wonder which university will be the first to accept bitcoins donations

Not gonna say it won't go there but it wouldn't stay there long.
I think if it were going to go to that level it would have by now (the guy on CNBC and china banning ICO's) would have been enough to bring it down to that point. The fact that it and bitcoin is treading water shows that people are willing to pay a premium for amazing returns.
Time will tell.
I don't know that the recent slump is due to any premium. More like a correction and consolidation. A price between $700-800 is fine.
People forget or don't know that bonds often trade at premiums or discounts when their interest rates are above or below market rates. As long as gbtc returns above average returns I wouldn't expect the price to drop to exactly .09 bitcoins value.
Even in the past few days investors that swing in and out are making a better return in hours than they could earn by investing in the S&P. As long as that's the case i would expect a premium on GBTC.
As some countries stop bitcoin and ICO's. New investors may turn to funds like GBTC. What do you think?
Good news! Will take a while for the impact to be felt. China may flip flop again once it figures out how to capitalize on it.
