I sold at $3.50, and now I'm waiting for a good consolidation point. What is the short-term reentry range?
Andy
American Bulls issued a BUY recommendation on 11.16.2012 (13) days ago, when the stock price was 4.8800.
The will not issue a BUY signal, until sometime after they issue a SELL signal. All you will see for now is HOLD, SELL-IF, and SELL.

Andy
Pacven continues to sell. Another 125K shares.
They still own 3.87 million.
Andy
I love the volume.
Andy
There is minor resistance at the $5.85 level. I would not be surprise to test $6 soon.
just my opinion,
Andy
here is the long awaited news...
http://www.4-traders.com/news/Synacor-Inc-Steve-Davi-Cloud-Software-Expert-Joins-Synacor-as-Senior-Vice-President-Software-E--15554126/
about time...
now lets start talking patents and revenue.
Andy
the bears have done their job by selling...but, key support is holding. my guess is, there will be a short attack sometime tomorrow. we'll see.
good luck to all,
Andy
If support is there, the price will hold. I'm sure whoever was washing shares will test support. I have a feeling this time it will hold. But who knows? No matter what happens this time, you have to like the volume.
just my opinion,
Andy
I'm expecting Seeking Alpha to recommend a new round of shorting. I would not be suprised to see an article surface soon.
just my opinion,
Andy
can you expand on why you think so?
Andy
Holy volume, Batman!!!
has any announcement been made about early sales figures of the new phone(s)???
I'm especially interested in sales within China, if they are at all available.
post a link if you have time.
thanks in advance,
Andy
Time for a breakout...lets see if this attempt gets attacked again...might be an opportunity for some flipping, to those who are quick on the draw.
just my opinion,
Andy
could FARE be the next TBX pick?
Short Analytics graphs...
http://www.shortanalytics.com/getshortchart.php?tsymbol=sync
I'm not sure how to interpret some of these graphs, it just gives short & long activity, but not the sell/cover and buy/sell activity, so it makes it a little convoluted.
Andy
Someone is definitely selling, with nearly 1.2MIL in volume today. If I was short, I'd be on the buying end for sure. SYNC hasn't gone much below $4.50, as it immediately bounces back up at that price.
It must be the shorts who are covering.
I dumped half my NOK this morning and added more today.
I think SYNC will take off if it can't break support at these levels. The shorts will need to cover, or they will begin to lose their profits.
good luck to all,
Andy
FARE | World Moto And Their $3 Billion Idea Open For Trading
http://www.aimhighprofits.com/fare-world-moto-and-their-3-billion-idea-open-for-trading-21154
is the float 177million shares? any idea what the MKT CAP might be, if was based on assets?
what happens if MSFT makes their own phones? will it affect if & how they support NOK?
Andy
whisper is $5 due to positive sales. I'm wondering if limiting the carriers might be better for NOK in the long run. It will let them concentrate on one product with one carrier and get the bugs out...
might've been smart in the long run.
Just my opinion,
Andy
buying 10000 at $0.001
why not?
excellent points.
most importantly...don't believe anything that NIA says, or anything that Seeking Alpha publishes. Another investor described them well when he said "the NIA & Seeking Alpha are different wings of the same bird".
In my opinion, the truth lies somewhere between these two opinions.
I think Synacor is aggressively addressing its small customer base, by increasing their website management development. I also think they are attempting to address the decrease in revenue with their Carbyn apps, although there may be a lot of competition in this arena.
TV Everywhere is, in my opinion, not something that is going to revolutionize the TV industry, AT LEAST in it's present state. It will need to be much easier to use, for the common Joe to jump on board. And, I think they will need to overcome licensing issues. This, I'm afraid, will need to be set down by industry leaders, including provider/cable companies, technology companies, and software companies as a series of new standards. Remember how long the HDMI standards were delayed in committee?
ONLY a handful of companies have a chance of single-handedly pulling off something truly revolutionary in this arena...companies on the scale of Google, Cisco, or Apple.
I'm afraid TV Everywhere WILL NOT BE THE bread-and-butter revenue stream for Synacor. It does sound very sexy, I'll admit, and it does make for a convincing pump.
The indisputable fact are, that Syncaor is profitable, and they are aggressively hiring. This shows that they are willing to risk revenue now for future growth. This does not bode well for the huge number of short term investors that NIA has attracted to SYNC. I have faith that the executive team that Synacor has assembled will address these problems, as Facebook has learned to do.
At this price, SYNC is a bargain. Wait until next QTR...or even better...hold it for a year.
good luck to all & Happy Thanksgiving,
Andy
do promo stocks usually start trading before the promo announcement is made? or do they just hold all the shares until the announcement is actually made?
just wondering...
Andy
this thing is finally got some legs to it...I wonder who is buying?
Someone with deep pockets.
Andy
so, you think this is a solid $6+ dollar stock? Do you anticipate a nice Q-o-Q increase? and what is your opinion in how much of that is baked into the current price?
just curious,
Andy
per the 8K, Lisa Ziomkowski-Boten is named as Secretary & Treasurer.
per the Form 3 & 4, Christopher Ziomkowski (CTO) is named as a major direct holder. husband I presume?
also per the Form 3 & 4, Paul Giles (CEO) is named as a major direct holder, owning 170,756,615 shares.
and in the quarterly report...
Subsequent to our quarter ended September 30, 2012, on November 2, 2012, Mr. Liam, our President, Director and a stockholder, surrendered 3,997,675 shares of the Company's common stock for cancellation.
also in the quarterly report...
We generated no revenues for the three months ended September 30, 2012 and 2011. We have generated a total of $10,188 of revenues since inception.
looks like a shell...smells like a shell...do I hear the ocean???
just my opinion,
Andy
Thank you for putting this article together. It's nicely done. I think it's important that NIA is exposed, and you've done it in a respectful and professional way.
I don't agree with everything in your article, simply because you've left out some details. Don't take it personally, I very rarely agree with anyone 100%.
I think it's very important to represent "the other side", and like I said you've written that quite well.
On a tangent...somewhere, a ways back, I read a really nice piece on the dangers of low floats. I don't know if you've seen it, but I'd like to readit it again, and post it here, so new investors will understand what has happened. Are you familiar with the article?
thanks again, I appreciate your insight
Andy
Anyone know anything about the Appointment of Lisa Ziomkowski-Boten as Secretary & Treasurer???
I saw it in the 8-K. I was wondering if there is any history out there...
Andy
I sold a few weeks ago, and now I might be looking to pick up a few. If REED dips to the low $6s, I'm jumping back in.
good luck to all,
Andy
I just sold half. Have a nice Thanksgiving all.
to sell or not to sell...maybe I'll sell half.
any thoughts?
Andy
Request for research on SYNC.
I would like to update this board, and I know some of you guys are great at doing research. Are there any volunteers interested in doing research? I can assist as editor, but I do not have the time to do it all myself.
Lets start with two topics, one listing major investors and the other as a calendar of events.
For the major investors, it should show (venture capitalists, insiders, institutions, and mutual funds).
And for the calendar, it should include press releases, announcements, financial statements, etc.
let me know if anyone is up to the job.
Andy
good luck to you.
Andy
Looks like another walk down. If SYNC breaks $4.50, I'm buyin again.
All my opinion.
Andy
Updated Chart with buy signals. Technicals are really looking Bullish.
American Bulls gave a buy signal on 16-Nov-12. I wonder why NIA/Lebed hasn't posted this little factoid yet???
http://www.americanbulls.com/StockPage.asp?CompanyTicker=SYNC&MarketTicker=NASD&TYP=S
Here are some Bullish signals:
TRIX(3) crossover
MACD(12,26,9) crossover
Wm%R(14) coming out of oversold
RSI(5) coming out of oversold
and my favorite one of all...
PPO(12,26,9) rising with ADX(14) falling simultaneously (showing divergence)
Wow, SYNC is showing some nice buy signals!!!
If SYNC can break and hold $5.37, you will see some money moving into this stock. It looks like SYNC is ready to rise. Best of luck to all!
Just my opinion,
Andy
oooh...I just noticed...looks like ADX and PPO are diverging. I will keep an eye on this and post a chart soon.
In my opinion, this is a very very very bullish sign.
finally, some good news!
good luck to all.
all my opinion,
Andy
Andy's take on the hiring at Synacor...
Synacor is a solid company. They've been in business for many years now, and are still showing solid growth.
Most importantly, look at the management team they've assembled. Very impressive. They have showed and stated that they are will grow the company by research & development of new technologies, and by acquisition.
On Hiring: They are and have been hiring very aggressively for some time. They are a very fiscally responsible company, and would not be hiring if they thought they could not afford it. Any company looking at 35% growth range should be hiring.
Their stock price is deceiving. They are not, at this time, an $18 company. But they are easily a $10 company. Anyone willing to buy now and hold for a year will make good money.
just my opinion,
Andy
nice job. Way to work it. I sold a few this morning myself, and have my order in to buy them back.
best of luck to all
just my opinion.
Andy
all I'm saying is...
if you notice a pattern, figure out a way to make money on it. Trade within your own rules and your own level of comfort.
most importantly...don't believe anything that NIA says, or anything that Seeking Alpha publishes. Another investor described them well when he said "the NIA & Seeking Alpha are different wings of the same bird".
Truthfully, this is a $10 stock. It might take a few more quarters for it to get there, but it will. It is heavily manipulated, so stay away if you can't stomach to see it go lower. But if you're willing to stay in for the long run, there is little doubt you will make money on it. If you buy at $5 now, and sell in a year at $10, then you do the math. It sounds very simple, but most people will not heed that simple advice.
Also, if you notice an intraday pattern, then by all means use that to your advantage. Trading in the market is not easy, so capitalize on every advantage you have. I have noticed several other patterns on this stock and have used them to my advantage. I use some very unusual limit orders and conditional triggers to profit on heavy shorting & panic selling. But please don't listen to my advice. Listen to what you feel comfortable with, and take each trade as a learning experience, both good and bad.
"the trend is your friend, until the bend at the end"
best of luck to all.
all my opinion,
Andy
we've been doing this for months, you can try to do it on the long side to minimize risk. it does mean you will have to hold overnight.
just my opinion,
Andy
