Tellurian receives US approval for Driftwood gas pipelines
April 24 (Reuters) - Liquefied natural gas (LNG) developer Tellurian Inc(TELL) said on Monday the U.S. energy regulator had authorized Line 200 and Line 300 of its $1.4 billion Driftwood natural gas transmission pipeline project.
The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved the Louisiana-based pipelines on April 21. The company expects the project to be operational in 2023 to meet the growing demand for natural gas in Southwest Louisiana.
The pipelines will have a capacity to supply up to five and a half billion cubic feet of natural gas daily, the company said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Tellurian is yet to take a final investment decision on its Driftwood LNG export terminal, which has witnessed several setbacks with companies such as Shell Plc(SHEL) exiting the $13.6 billion project last year. (Reporting by Sourasis Bose in Bengaluru; Editing by Shinjini Ganguli)

Baker Hughes zero-emissions electric-powered compressor technology proposed for cleaner energy delivery
Tellurian Inc. (Tellurian) (NYSE:TELL) announced that the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued the certificate on April 21, 2023 granting authorization for Driftwood Pipeline, LLC's Line 200 and Line 300, an approximate $1.4 billion natural gas transmission project proposed to be located in Beauregard and Calcasieu Parishes, Louisiana. The pipelines will have the ability to supply up to five and one-half billion cubic feet of natural gas daily with virtually no emissions due to the implementation of electric-powered Integrated Compressor Line (ICL) technology from Baker Hughes.
Tellurian President and CEO Octávio Simões said, "Tellurian thanks the FERC for their thorough and collaborative review of our Driftwood Pipeline Project and we look forward to delivering natural gas in a cleaner and highly reliable way to Southwest Louisiana."

.Tellurian asks shareholders to approve doubling of authorized shares
REUTERS 2:42 PM ET 4/13/2023
HOUSTON, April 13 (Reuters) - Tellurian on Thursday asked its shareholders to vote on a proposal to double its share count as the liquefied natural gas (LNG) developer seeks to finance its multi-billion-dollar export terminal.
The proposal - to increase authorized shares to 1.6 billion - if approved would provide additional financial flexibility while diluting the stakes of existing shareholders, the filing said. Shareholders will vote on the proposal on June 7, the company said in a proxy filing.
Its Driftwood LNG export project received a U.S. export permit in March 2017, but has not achieved a financial go-ahead. The roughly $13 billion first phase of the project needs to close simultaneously on equity, bank debt and high-yield financing to move ahead, the company's chief executive recently said.
As a first step in the fundraising, an undisclosed investor group proposed to pay $1 billion for the land where the plant is being built and lease it back to the company, Executive Chairman Charif Souki said last week.
The company's proxy filing shows executive pay fell last year as contracts with potential customers fell through and Tellurian began initial construction using its own cash. It aims to complete the first phase of the project in 2026.
Souki was paid $8.2 million last year, down from $20.1 million the prior year, while President Octavio Simoes earned $4.3 million, down from $8.1 million in 2021, the filing showed. (Reporting by Gary McWilliams; Editing by Daniel Wallis)
