Trust me! A monkey can be a cow's worse nightmare! A tail isn't much use swatting a monkey off your back.<g>
Funny! He told me the same thing about you.<g>
On Topic I think.<g>
Reid, I plan to spend next week putting together watch lists in several different sectors and I am considering some of the variables other than just TA charting predictability that I will be looking at in forming these watch lists. The lists will be used primarily for position trading. Here are some of the questions I am pondering. Any input from anyone on the board would be appreciated by the MIT!
1. Is there a beta range that seems to lend itself especially well to position trading?
2. When comparing a company's PE ratio to others companies within the same sector does a relative higher PE, lower PE, or similar PE ratio responds best to position trading?
3. How many different sectors would a person need to follow in order to effectively play the rotation in and out different sectors?
4. Is overall performance increased in position trading by playing only companies with relatively good fundamentals or does fundamental really matter?
5. What price range and volume produce the best predictability?
How come there are no females on the board of directors of this thread?
Then answer this question:
Can I trust this fellow:

But Carolyn, I just met you! Why should I trust you over them?

>>I've got to ask...who are you? I knew
you were Cisco til the "we girls" comment. Fess up!<<
ROTFLMMTO!
I am Bera, the daughter of the original Bera. The boys tell me my mother died giving birth to me, but I have always suspected there was more to the story. After reading some of Carolyn's posts, I am really beginning to have questions! I think she has me confused with my mother. If so, she seems to know more about her than I do. We both graduated from The MIT (Monkeys In Training) Institute.
Matt, how long is the edit window on this site? Does the site or profiles support any html other than bold, italics, or underline?
I would like to see at least
andso we can put tables and the like within posts as described here:
>>Bera, Cisco is a valued and trusted friend of mine.<<
ROFLMMTO! Reid did you forget who you are talking too? You boys are just too much. Brothers talking about each other in the third person is just too much for me.<g> I bet Christmas dinner is a real hoot at yours and Cisco's house.
BTW, ROTFLMMTO is rolling on the floor laughing my monkey's tail off in case you didn't get it.
>>Matt has further told me that I and other thread creators here also could terminate in sorts, a poster who is obviously a troublemaker on said thread in the near future.<<
Does this include primates?
>>I see the above set of rules much like this country in it's beginning. States split off and fought the central governing body to govern themselves while allowing an ULTIMATE authority to have final say so in the event that a state gets too far off course (topic).<<
I think I saw the same movie! Wasn't it call The Planet of the Apes? I still don't understand how those big dumb apes became the ULTIMATE authority over us anthropoid apes (i.e. chimpenzees). It still seems unrealistic that size should win out over intelligence!
>>The PE is attractive here, why the fall?<<
They warned today!
>>How many trades are allowed in an IRA account?<<
You must have enough cleared money to cover your day trades or they consider you trading on margin which is not allowed in an IRA account. The brokage house is responsible for catching the violations.
Reid, I notice a post by Cisco on another site. I think he might be refering to you! As Spock would say the needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few or the one! Remember, you taught me that.<g>

SSTI is also on my watch list. Value Line last Friday gave it a 1 ranking in timelness but only a 4 on techinal.
I believe that a lower entry point may be just around the corner:

MACD seems to show a slowing in the momentum down. Stochastic hasn't signaled a turn yet. To add
uncertainly to this stock is why it is delaying announcement of earnings until Feb 1. I for one don't
own it currently but will be watching it closely next week. I have no plans to hold it over the weekend.
JMHO!
LOL! You make me feel better!<g> I guess you know you can still trade the account thru a broker if you want to pay the price.
Hello rudi! Yes even monkeys make mistakes. Earlier this month I received a 90 day suspension from electronically trading one of my account. I was trading more than one acount that day and wasn't paying attention and made one too many day trades in an IRA account.<g> It seems the SEC doesn't like that kind of slip up.
Good morning Reid. Thanks for all the help in the past on reading the slopes of the market. I just wish that there was a way to know when a clif is just around the corner. I watch as SAWS went over one today. I am a little worried about the what the market's reaction to the rate cut next week will be. I believe it is clear that the market has already priced in a .50 cut. I thinking that the talking heads predicitions that the .50 cut is what the NASDAQ needs to break 3,000 is premature. I believe it will take at least two more rate cut before the NASDAQ takes out 3,000. However, I would love for the NASDAQ to close above 2700 today! My greatest fear is if the Feds only cut .25 next week.
>>And never trust the brothers. If in doubt, call me.<<
LOL! Yes us girls have to stick together, especially when trading stocks. Males have a tendency to let their testosterone get in the way.<g>
Speaking of stocks, I am sure glad I wasn't holding any SAWS overnight. I am still very unsure about the techs at this point. I try not to hold them over night in my trading account if possible.
>>They gave you an old computer? Hmph - demand a state-of-the-art machine! <<
The boys promised me that this was a good computer! What do you think?

Hello Carolyn! It is so good to get to talk to you at long last. I have heard so much about you from the boys. All good I might add.<g> It is going to be so much fun here. The boys have given me one of their old computers and I have decided to try my hand at trading some stocks. I can't do any worse then they have. Unfortunately, I had to set up a trustee acount.
LOL!
I take a few days off and the next thing I know you are out sowing your wild oats all over the world wide web!<g>
