chrisaetos777, it seems so! We either have an eye for a gem or a lump of coal. I was surprised to find that a board hadn't been created for Aegon N.V. (AEG). I was trying to remember why (AEG) stuck out to me. Looking at the fundamentals, it dawned on me that (AEG) is significantly undervalued based on Book Value Per Share (BVPS). I believe if I were to invest in the Life Insurance industry I would most likely invest in Lincoln Financial Corp. (LNC). I believe both could be good investments although (AEG) might need more due diligence. It's interesting to note that the Financial sector is the only undervalued sector based on BVPS. Even further, the Life Insurance industry is also undervalued based on BVPS.
Still looking for young board assistants.
If interested, please PM or reply to post.
Thank you, Gulley

harr449, very stable! I didn't look at AOL, Inc. (AOL)'s PPS today. It did very well considering the overall markets today. I just remembered, I was watching CNBC today and saw that (AOL) plans to expand into China.

makemoney18, good to hear! I'm just sitting calmly. Overall markets today are taking quite a hit. Since I'm a sitting duck I might as well begin learning something new. I have a co-worker who loaned me a book on options along with a CD which was very nice of her. It seems straightforward. The book can't be more than 50 pages or so. I also wanted to learn about how to short, but being that I have this book and CD I feel compelled that I should learn about options first.
Do you trade options? I know nothing about them at the moment. I Googled it a few months ago and became quickly confused. I read a page or two of this book and the author really seems to break things down into laymen's term. She told me that she'd make $100-$300 in a day. I do know it's risky business.

JJ8, thank you. Personally, based on japanese candlesticks; I'm on the sidelines and will get back in if/when the S&P 500 breaks 1,892.00.
harr449, how is AOL, Inc. (AOL) treating you?
lowtrade, correct. That's what I thought also. Though these black, red and green numbers would change on a quarterly basis; specifically fundamentals. Correct?

lowtrade, regarding FinViz.com. I was wondering if you knew why certain information was black, green and red? I see no correlation as to why.
makemoney18, the S&P 500 did very well today. I won't speak too soon; but if the S&P 500 does well again tomorrow, then I might need to move the target date a little closer. We will see!
56Chevy, sorry for the late reply. Thank you for helping me better understand.
STOCK_GAINER6, correct.
JJ8, sorry for the late reply. Thank you for sharing.
Hawkeye_tt, thank you for sharing. Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. (BWLD) I believe will have a difficult time getting their foot in the door of the pizzeria business. Pizza Rev could work because it's different from other pizza competitors, but I wouldn't guarantee it will be successful. Pizza Rev reminds me of the Qdoba subsidiary of Jack in the Box, Inc. (JACK) to the Taco Bell subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM). It seems that (BWLD) are really trying to grow into this market. I see (BWLD) has 15 stores scheduled to open.
makemoney18, it's good to see that we both agree on roughly the same time frame. I began investing in this bull market, so I feel that is why I'm defensive. Understanding and looking back on the past bear markets is different than being present during a bear market. I can understand and focus on the past, however experience is no match. I know what to look for, but I don't know what to expect from the outcome. I'm sure you understand where I am coming from.
makemoney18, I have an entry on the S&P 500 at 1,892.00 based off candlesticks alone. Candlesticks don't give time frames unfortunately. The candlesticks on April 4, 2014 signaled a Bullish Stop Loss. Now a Bullish Stop Loss is not a candlestick. This is when the the chart signals and confirms a bearish candlestick, but the candlesticks continue to a positive direction. Let me say this again. This is when the chart signals and confirms a bearish candlestick, but the candlesticks continue up in a positive direction. It's important to understand this. The PPS or in this case the S&P 500 continued to increase despite bearish signals.
This is what we call a "Bull Trap." Hence "Trap" or trapping of the bulls. Usually when bearish candlesticks signal and confirm a sell, we wait for a new bullish candlestick to signal and confirm. However, with a Bullish Stop Loss we must ignore all bullish candlesticks until it reaches the last PPS or in the S&P 500's case 1,892.00 until we can wait for a bullish candlestick to signal and confirm.
You're right, the market is very unpredictable. If I had to speculate on when it will hit 1,892.00, I would say around May 5, 2014. This is not based on any charting or technicals. This is only based on the positive momentum that I see in the charts. I don't know enough about these items to be able to better predict or guess when this target will be reached. However, I believe this target can be reached if the momentum continues positive. The S&P 500 is still in a channel up pattern, which is great to see. Though with the market being unpredictable we are certainly always vulnerable to a sideways movement or a downward movement. When this happens we will see a new chart pattern.
Right now I'm very optimistic on the overall market. I was stopped out of positions that I held. Capital preservation is very important to me, so I am defensive. I won't gamble until this target is reached. I see there are definitely some who are profiting in the overall market on this dip, however I am not taking that gamble.
When is your time frame on this target being reached?
filthy animal 911, welcome the Investors Hub community! Because you are new, please let me explain something to you. There are no rules against posting the amount of shares that you hold, buy or sell; however from what I have found, it's more of an unwritten rule amongst investors/traders that you keep this information to yourself. Though you're more than welcome to share the price bought, sold or your precent profit. You don't have to follow this, I'm just simply sharing this with you.
Good luck, Gulley
STOCK_GAINER6, I agree; however I believe one could trade this also. It seems General Electric Co. (GE) broke a symmetrical triangle yesterday on April 17, 2014, which is bullish signaling a breakout.
