Thanks for your response. Your advice is very helpful. I understand that you can't choose my strategy, I'm just looking for some guidance. You have helped me realize that there are many different strategies. So I have need to do some more reading. Hopefully learning more about different strategies will help me of what I specifically want to look for when picking a stock.
I have never thought about that. I didn't come in to the market with a specific strategy of investing.
Are you big boards, pennies?
I don't have an exact answer for that. I find more thill in pennies due to the risk for high profits. Though the only benefit I see in big boards are dividend yields, which I find very attractive. I would like to be able to invest in either, but if I had to lean towards one. I would most likely say pennies.
Are you a value investor or are you looking at growth?
I had to look up the definitions for these terms. If I understood it correctly, a growth stock could be looked at as a new and growing company? Then a value stock would be a mature company that grows slowly, but pays dividends? If I understand correctly, I would most likely choose growth.
Are you long term or short term?
I think I would enjoy a stock that requires close attention, that would require me to see where the stock is at a few times throughout the day. I would say, short term and holding as long as a day, to as long as 3 months depending on the situation.
Do you think you could point me in the right direction about what kind of investor I am?
I greatly appreciate your help, thanks cintrix.
Good morning all! I'm new to investing here. I have been trying to make a check list if you will, of things to look for when picking a stock to buy. After reading just about every article on the internet, I feel overwhelmed of the many indicators you can use to pick a stock. I think I could be trying to get too in depth too quickly, which has me on edge. Is there a basic list of indicators to go by, that would let me feel comfortable buying a stock while I build up my knowledge over time? Or is there a place you recommend I start for basics?
Thanks, Gulley
I'm out of this one.
Good luck, Gulley
Thanks Eschew, it has definitely been a learning experience. I plan to sell sometime around lunch time. Could you or anyone recommend me any resources that could teach me about the market?
Good luck to you as well.
Is that you that is selling today Eschew?
After being down 80%, my finger has never been so close to the sell button until now. I'm possibly the most novice investor on this board. Was told by a friend to buy this stock a year and a half ago. Tried to learn more about the market through him. Whenever I asked a question I was told, that's not important or don't worry about that.
I won't mention his name. Though he no longer keeps in contact with my friends or myself. I was promised big returns two Thanksgiving's ago. As a broke college student, I feel I need to cut my loss on this one and start fresh. Learn about the stock market this time and invest wisely, not with risk for now. While I still have a few bucks in my account. Wish I knew what a exit strategy and a stop loss order was a while back.
I guess I'm stupid... I couldn't even tell you what outstanding shares are.
Good luck to all, Gulley
Anyone who is getting in at these prices are getting a steal!
I might have to take ESPI out of my ticker and unfollow this board for a while. Don't think I can take it.
Talking about yesterday. I can't remember the last day we had all buying and no selling. Probably the best technical I have seen in a while.
Rick! It's Joel and it's about time you made a IHub account! It's a great tool to use. I agree with you on your point also.
Very good! Please take notes if possible! Or if you could somehow record it, that would incredible!
When was the last time you emailed them? You say you haven't received a response since then?
Like I said, I don't know much about the stock market. Though if I could blame it on anything. I would say it was a hedge fund manager, that we saw buy in back around the .10's.
I believe the down turn on the market the past couple days have been the main reason. I could never see this stock going .04.
Thank-you Pennystockplayer. At this point what options do we have? Sure we could pump this stock. Though is the $40 thousand worth it, only to last for a few weeks?
There was a big sell-off yesterday right? How many shares we're sold by that person? I didn't see the trade list yesterday.
Eschew, as always I appreciate your intel! Thank-you for keeping us informed!
Pennystockplayer, I understand where your coming from. We should keep them on their toes. Though we should also be patent. David Dugas himself said that his goal was to focus on profitability.
I don't post often or share any technical and fundamental DD. Mostly because I haven't educated myself much on the stock market, because of the lack of free time I have.
I have been here for over a year and a half, as well as more then 50% down on my position. I don't know much, though I do know a penny stock won't make you quick cash over night. I'm a broke college student, so this is the only position I currently hold.
I have always looked at this as a long term hold. I know things have taken ESPI a long time to get where we're at. Many times I have thought about selling. Though when I look at other penny stocks, I see I'm sitting on a real gem here. It is nerve racking hitting new lows. I'm doing my best to hold em' tight and see how Dugas can make us profitable.
To each his own, just thought I'd share my .10 cents.
Good luck to all, Gulley
Thank-you UHCougar! I appreciate these pictures. When I get a chance, I'll put it in the DD.
Who mentioned they lived near ESP Headquarters? I'm still looking forward to the recon you promised of snapping photos, both inside and outside.
I guess will just have to see. Do we get the golden Easter egg or the rotten one? Will find out...
The same could be said about good news too, right?
I doubt he cares about his shares. Think of it more as... a bonus!
Gulley
Why is it in his interest to raise the PPS? I'm guessing because he owns so many shares, is what your saying?
I've never seen those reports before. Whew, one is for $500! Does it come with a nugget of gold? Haha
Gulley
I believe it's not until March.
I just received my ballot in the mail. I'm not really understanding this though. Could someone please further explain?
Thanks, Gulley
I can't remember when exactly you posted your last video. Late summer? Point is, the PPS is same before you posted the last video. It had a temporary effect. Though I do appreciate your knowledge and opinion.
Dugas is still CEO. ESPI has hired a CFO.
Think you could snap a picture for us sometime? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, Gulley
Exactly 3 months from their last quarterly will be on Wednesday 11/14/12.
I thought it comes out on the 14th?
We should see the quarterly sometime in the middle of this week.
I'm guessing news won't come out tell the quarterly.
We should receive a filing sometime during the week of the 12th correct?
Sorry, I've been busy with school the past week or so. Can someone please get me up to par on the law suit?
Thanks, Gulley
Thanks for the update!
Gulley
I will have at least 200 tickers.
I have not. I didn't want to start downloading every app in the market to find out which one is best.
Good morning investors! I need a recommendation. I have switched from Android to Apple and need to find a good stock watch app. I have Scottrade, but it's a pain to log in every time I check up on things. The stock Apple stock watch app is very bland for the average trader. Any recommendations?
I told my friend about this stock and he bought a 100,000 shares yesterday. I told him to buy me something nice when he cashes out!
Good morning all! I'm excited to see earnings this week!
