HILLARY.
In 1975 Hillary served as a court-appointed defense attorney for Thomas Alfred Taylor, accused of raping a 12 year old girl. She considered this the most significant case of her legal career. Audio recordings she made from 1983-87, which include her frank and detailed assessment of this case, reveal that she knew Taylor was guilty. She says she used a legal technicality to plead her client, who faced 30 years to life in prison, down to a lesser charge. These recordings are newly discovered and have never been previously reported.
The tapes were made during five hours of unpublished interviews conducted by Arkansas reporter Roy Reed.
These interviews are in direct contrast to her narrative (which she continues to promote on her current book tour) of her early years as a devoted women's and child advocate in Arkansas.
Unprincipled is not a strong enough word to describe Hillary.
Border Patrol officials are swamped by the number of minors crossing illegally into the United States and frustrated that they can’t turn away known Mexican gang members.Chris Cabrera, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307 in the Rio Grande Valley, said that confirmed gang members in Mexico — including those from Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) — are coming into the country to be reunited with their families, National Review reported Friday.SEE ALSO: Border Patrol changing diapers, heating baby formula for surge of children“If he’s a confirmed gang member in his own country, why are we letting him in here? … I’ve heard people come in and say, ‘You’re going to let me go, just like you let my mother go, just like you let my sister go. You’re going to let me go as well, and the government’s going to take care of us,’” Mr. Cabrera told the magazine. He said that the only way to solve the problem was to implement harsher restrictions on who can be allowed to cross.“Until we start mandatory detentions, mandatory removals, I don’t think anything is going to change. As a matter of fact, I think it’s going to get worse,” he said, National Review reported.Other Border Patrol officials said that officers must treat minors with gang-affiliated tattoos the same as anybody else wishing to cross the border.“It’s upsetting that a lot of them are 16 pr 17 years old and a lot of them are not going to face deportation,” said Art Del Cueto, president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 2544 in Tucson, Ariz, National Review reported.Mr. Cabrera told the news agency that the Rio Grande Valley location has nine stations. IRS: So… Our Computer Crashed And Erased All Of Lois Lerner’s Emails
The Daily Caller
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) claimed Friday that it cannot produce Lois Lerner’s emails to and from the White House and other administration departments due to a supposed computer crash.
The IRS previously agreed to hand over all of the ex-IRS official’s emails from 2009 to 2011 to the House Ways and Means Committee, chaired by Rep. Dave Camp. But the IRS claimed Friday that it has Lerner’s emails to and from other IRS officials but it cannot produce emails to and from the Treasury and Justice Departments, the Federal Election Commission, or Democratic offices.
The IRS’ computer crash may go down in history next to the eighteen and a half minute gap in the Watergate tapes, which was supposedly caused by a mistake by Richard Nixon’s secretary Rose Mary Woods.
“The fact that I am just learning about this, over a year into the investigation, is completely unacceptable and now calls into question the credibility of the IRS’s response to Congressional inquiries,” Camp said in a statement. “There needs to be an immediate investigation and forensic audit by Department of Justice as well as the Inspector General.”
“Just a short time ago, Commissioner Koskinen promised to produce all Lerner documents,” Camp continued. “It appears now that was an empty promise. Frankly, these are the critical years of the targeting of conservative groups that could explain who knew what when, and what, if any, coordination there was between agencies. Instead, because of this loss of documents, we are conveniently left to believe that Lois Lerner acted alone. This failure of the IRS requires the White House, which promised to get to the bottom of this, to do an Administration-wide search and production of any emails to or from Lois Lerner. The Administration has repeatedly referred us back to the IRS for production of materials. It is clear that is wholly insufficient when it comes to determining the full scope of the violation of taxpayer rights.”
FORMER DEFENSE OFFICIAL: The Obama Administration Is A Cross Between 'Keystone Cops And Amateur Hour'
Business Insider
By Paul Szoldra 5 hours ago
REUTERS/Larry Downing
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry (L) listens as U.S. President Barack Obama hosts a Cabinet meeting in the Cabinet Room of the White House in Washington, September 30, 2013.
With radical militants seizing vast swaths of territory in Iraq less than three years after American soldiers left the country, two former senior defense officials tell Business Insider much of the blame for an increase in sectarian violence stems from a lack of leadership in the White House.
"Unfortunately, this administration's principle interest seemed to be not stability in Iraq, not partnership with Iraq, or even Iraq as a hedge against extremism in the region," said one official, speaking on condition of anonymity of the 2008 status of forces agreement signed under Bush and implemented by Obama. "Their principle interest was 'get out of Iraq' and they didn't care about the consequences. Domestic politics rules in this administration."
"The bottom line," he added. "Watching the administration is like watching a cross between Keystone Cops and amateur hour."
Extremists from Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) have captured key cities, including Fallujah, Tikrit, and Mosul, while Kurds have taken the oil-rich city of Kirkuk — with many wondering whether Baghdad comes next.
"What we're seeing now is exactly what we forecasted," said a retired senior military officer, who also spoke on condition of anonymity.
While the White House rebuffed a request for air support from Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki last month, the Obama administration is under increasing pressure to do something as Tehran's influence seems to be quickly replacing Washington's.
On Thursday, Obama signaled that he was prepared to act militarily, telling reporters he wouldn't "rule out anything." His remarks came the same day Iranian security officials told the Wall Street Journal they would send in Revolutionary Guard forces to help support the Maliki government.
But with much talk and little action seen from the Obama administration to quell a four-year-old civil war in Syria, both officials expressed deep skepticism the White House would act as militants continue to make gains.
"Instability in the region is in the interest of both Russia and Iran," the defense official said. "Both of whom run circles around us in every aspect of strategy and foreign policy."
When asked what happens next, both defense officials — who served under both Bush and Obama and have extensive experience and contacts in the Middle East — said ISIS will continue to seize terrain and push closer to Baghdad. The country could see a split along ethnic and religious lines, but more likely is a brutal stalemate similar to what was seen in Syria, which both characterized as "messy."
"Because of a series of bumbling errors, beginning as far back as the Bush administration with their 'democracy at any cost' philosophy, and further exacerbated by the complete lack of grand strategy or common sense by the Obama administration, we are incapable of leading now," the official said
BERGDAHL.......
Officials also said Thursday that the Army has not yet formally begun a new review into the circumstances of Bergdahl's capture and whether he walked away without leave or was deserting the Army when he was found and taken by insurgents.
The answers to those questions will be key to whether Bergdahl will receive more than $300,000 in back pay owed to him since he disappeared. If he was determined to have been a prisoner of war, he also could receive roughly another $300,000 or more, if recommended and approved by Army leaders.
Bergdahl was released from Taliban captivity on May 31 and has been at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany since June 1.
Many have criticized the Obama administration for agreeing to release five Taliban prisoners in exchange for Bergdahl. Some of Bergdahl's former Army colleagues have accused him of deserting his post.
Critics also have said the five Taliban members could return to the battlefield. Administration officials have told Congress that four of the five Taliban officials likely will rejoin the fight.
Clintons 'dead broke' after White House? Actually, they earned over $12M that year
As Hillary Clinton backpedaled this week on comments that she and Bill Clinton were "dead broke" after leaving the White House, financial disclosure forms shed more light on just how shaky that claim really was.
Technically, Bill and Hillary Clinton were in debt when they left the White House. Financial forms filed for 2000 show assets between $781,000 and almost $1.8 million -- and liabilities between $2.3 million and $10.6 million, mostly for legal bills.
But as the outgoing first couple, they had tremendous earning potential. And within just one year, their financial troubles were effectively gone.
Hillary Clinton's Senate disclosure forms show that in 2001, they reported earning nearly $12 million. Most of that came from Bill Clinton's speechmaking, and the rest came from an advance for Hillary Clinton's book.
And that didn't even include Hillary Clinton's Senate salary, Bill Clinton's pension or money made on investments.
As soon as they left the White House, Hillary Clinton entered the Senate and was earning a $145,000 salary; her husband's pension was also north of $150,000.
All told, their financial snapshot in 2001 was drastically different than when they left the White House -- assets were listed at between $6 million and $30 million; liabilities were between $1.3 million and $5.6 million. And despite their financial issues, they got help from family friend and fundraiser Terry McAuliffe (now, the governor of Virginia) to secure a loan at the time for a $1.7 million home in Chappaqua, N.Y.
These finer details made Clinton's comment about being "dead broke" all the more questionable.
Republicans, noting that the Clintons weren't exactly the typical American family in debt, pounced on that remark this week.
"I think she's been out of touch with average people for a long time," said Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus, pointing to Clinton's estimated $200,000-per-speech speaking fees and million-dollar book advances. "Whether she was flat broke or not is not the issue. It's tone deaf to average people."
On Tuesday, the potential Democratic presidential candidate walked her comment back a notch. She said they "fully appreciate how hard life is for so many Americans." She acknowledged to ABC's "Good Morning America" that "we've continued to be blessed in the last 14 years."
Clinton addressed her personal financial situation in interviews promoting her new memoir, "Hard Choices."

Dianne Feinstein: No threat to Bergdahl
By JONATHAN TOPAZ | 6/6/14 1:32 PM EDT
Senate Intelligence Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein said she has not seen any evidence that the Taliban would have killed Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl if details of an agreement had leaked, contrary to what Obama administration officials have said.
When asked whether there was a “credible threat” on Bergdahl’s life if word had gotten out, the California Democrat responded: “No, I don’t think there was a credible threat, but I don’t know. I have no information that there was.”
Feinstein’s comments, part of an interview with Bloomberg Television’s Political Capital with Al Hunt airing Friday evening, put her at odds with White House officials. At a briefing Wednesday, administration officials told lawmakers that they couldn’t give Congress advance notice on the Bergdahl deal because the Taliban vowed to kill him if any details about the prisoner exchange came out.
Feinstein and several other lawmakers have accused President Barack Obama of violating the law — specifically, a part of the 2014 National Defense Authorization Act — by not informing Congress of a prisoner exchange at least 30 days before. Top national security representatives House Armed Services Committee Chairman Buck McKeon (R-Calif.) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) have blasted the administration for not keeping Congress in the loop. Rogers in particular said he hadn’t been briefed on Bergdahl by the White House since 2011.
Feinstein said White House deputy national security adviser Tony Blinken called her this week to apologize for not keeping her informed about the deal that returned Bergdahl to the U.S. and released five senior Taliban officials from Guantanamo Bay prison.
The senator added that the administration has an “absolute obligation” to fully investigate the nature of Bergdahl’s capture. Some media reports have suggested that the solder was a deserter given that he likely voluntarily walked away from his platoon.
She also said that she couldn’t definitively say whether Bergdahl’s life was in serious jeopardy, another argument that the White House has made to justify acting swiftly and without consulting Congress.
Latest White House Excuse: The Bergdahl/Taliban Swap Is Chuck Hagel’s Fault
How long has it been since President Barack Obama said he made no apologies for trading in five terrorists for a deserter? How long has it been since he said he had no regrets?
Has it been longer than five minutes? Well, then those statements are no longer operative.
John Parkinson and Jake Lefferman, ABC News:
Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel – not President Obama – executed the administration’s final call to proceed with the prisoner exchange of five ranking Taliban detainees for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, administration officials told Congress today in a classified briefing today (sic).
“They indicated [it was] Secretary Hagel [who made the final call],” House Armed Services Chairman Buck McKeon, R-California, told reporters following the briefing Monday evening. “It was the president of the United States that came out [in the Rose Garden] with the Bergdahls and took all the credit and now that there’s been a little pushback he’s moving away from it and it’s Secretary Hagel?”

Yep. Obama didn’t know any of this stuff until he saw it on the news. Because he’s so competent.
Did Hagel know he was being set up as the patsy? I wonder how he feels about that? He’s the perfect fall guy: white, male and Republican. Now he’s going to pay for the incompetence and dishonesty of his boss, and he can’t hide behind accusations of racism, sexism or any other -ism.
Have fun in the barrel, Chuck.

Taliban Says Bergdahl Deal Means More Kidnappings
The Fiscal Times
By Reilly Dowd 2 hours ago
This morning, TIME Magazine featured a chilling interview with an Haqqani network-affiliated Taliban commander who was intimately involved in negotiations with the U.S. over the release of Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl. The takeaway: More kidnappings are “definitely” to come as a result of the deal.
Amidst great debate on whether or not the deal should have happened at all are lingering questions about whether Sgt. Bergdahl was a deserter. Although Bergdahl himself has yet to give his side of the story, questions remain unanswered about what exactly Bergdahl was doing off base the night he was captured by the Taliban.
According to The New York Times, a classified military report on the night Bergdahl wandered off base in June 2009 says this wasn’t the first time. In fact, the roughly 35-page report says that he’d wandered off from both a training range in California and from his outpost in Afghanistan before returning back to his assigned area. The report concludes that Bergdahl likely did so on his own free will in the dark of night.
Perhaps more important is what the report leaves out. There is no stated conclusion as to whether or not the then Private Bergdahl had any intention to officially desert.

Nonetheless, the price tag for bringing America’s only living prisoner of war home to U.S. soil wasn’t cheap. On May 31st, the United States released five top-level Taliban commanders from Guantanamo Bay, sending them to Qatar to live under a form of house arrest.
Some believe the deal, executed by President Obama by executive order and which Obama makes “no apologies” for, sets a dangerous precedent. Not surprisingly, the loudest criticism has come from Republicans on Capitol Hill.
“What does this tell terrorists?,” Republican Senator Ted Cruz asked on ABC’s This Week following Bergdahl’s release. “That if you capture a U.S. soldier, you can trade that soldier for five terrorist prisoners?”
After hearing announcement of the deal on Saturday, Sen. John McCain criticized President Obama’s decision, calling it a “mistake.”
Related: Did the U.S. Trade 5 Taliban Terrorists for an Army Deserter?
On Sunday, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers cited the deal as a clear “break with U.S. policy.” During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” the Michigan Congressman said, “The No. 1 way that Al Qaeda raises money is by ransom — kidnapping and ransom. We have now set a price.”
The two-and-a-half year back-and-fourth has resulted in the first prisoner exchange between the Taliban and the United States. And it marks an important—and very public—shift in White House policy. The deal was ultimately given the green light by the president who once vowed, “We don’t negotiate with terrorists.”
ALL QUACKS .........LOL
Amid recent reports that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is having difficulty speaking English after spending five years in Taliban captivity, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin doubled down on her criticism of the newly freed prisoner of war's anti-Americanism.
“Sympathizers now tell the media Bergdahl can't be held to account anytime soon because he can't be interviewed ... claiming he's forgotten how to speak English. Really?” Palin asked in a Facebook post Wednesday. “Then # Call 1-800-RosettaStone.”
“Does anyone remember abused POWs like John McCain, Tom Moe, James Stockdale, Tom Kirk, and other American troops forgetting the English language during their years and years of brutal, inhumane captivity?” the former Republican vice presidential candidate continued. “Seems these war heroes returned to their beloved country not speaking Vietnamese, but speaking KickAss against those who would destroy the red, white, and blue.”
On Tuesday, "Fox and Friends" host Brian Kilmeade also attacked Bergdahl's loyalty to his homeland, suggesting that Bergdahl may have been "collaborating with the enemy" in Afghanistan. Kilmeade also criticized Bowe's father, Bob Bergdahl, for growing a beard that made him look like a "member of the Taliban."
Two days later, Fox revealed a new report based on "secret documents" from a private intelligence firm showing Bergdahl’s alleged conversion to Islam while in captivity in 2010.
'Lopsided' deal with enemy for Bergdahl in sharp contrast to inaction on Tahmooressi, say critics
Supporters of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi (l.), say the Obama administration has forgotten him while going to great lengths to free Army St. Bowe Bergdahl, (r.).
The Obama administration’s extraordinary effort to free Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has some wondering why the president can’t make a simple phone call on behalf of a former Marine being held in a Mexican prison after mistakenly driving across the border with registered guns.
Obama announced Saturday in a dramatic Rose Garden news conference that five Taliban prisoners from Guantanamo Bay would be exchanged for Bergdahl, a 28-year-old infantryman held captive for five years by the terrorist group. The swap angered many in the military and on Capitol Hill, because it went against long-standing policy of not bargaining with terrorists.
" ... as far the Administration went for Bergdahl, Andrew Tahmooressi is still stuck in a Mexican jail for making a wrong turn and the only thing grabbing the President’s attention so far is an online petition that forces him to respond."
“He wasn't forgotten by his country, because the United States of America does not ever leave our men and women in uniform behind,” Obama said.
Although Tahmooressi is not a prisoner of war, he served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, and now suffers post-traumatic stress disorder, according to his mother, Jennifer Tahmooressi. Friends who have visited him in prison say he has been tortured and threatened with rape and death, and they question whether the administration is doing enough to help him.
“This Administration went to unprecedented lengths for Bowe Bergdhal by making a lopsided deal with an untrustworthy partner, even when there other options still on the table that neither involved the Taliban nor prisoners released from Guantanamo Bay,” said Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif. “Meanwhile, as far the Administration went for Bergdahl, Andrew Tahmooressi is still stuck in a Mexican jail for making a wrong turn and the only thing grabbing the president’s attention so far is an online petition that forces him to respond."
Mark Podlaski, who served with Tahmooressi in Afghanistan, told Fox News in a phone interview if President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry "can give up five Taliban leaders for a 'traitor' why can't they make a phone call to Mexico to free a Marine who served honorably?
"I've never been this upset with my government.
"Tahmooressi gave his mind and body two times -- referring to his two tours of duty in Afghanistan -- for this country."
Sam Vranicar, who also served with Tahmooressi in Afghanistan and convinced him to go to California to receive treatment for post traumatic stress disorder, echoed his comrades.
"It's absurd how we can negotiate with terrorists in Afghanistan to get back a deserter soldier, but we can't negotiate with an ally in Mexico to bring home a loyal and honorable combat veteran," Vranicar said. "All the monies spent on preventing and fighting terrorism, many of the lives lost, have been in vain because of this 'deal' Obama made."
Jennifer Tahmooressi declined to comment on any comparison between her son's plight and that of Bergdahl, saying only that she was sure his family is grateful for his return
Hunter, a former Marine, was echoed by a former colleague in the House who served in the Army.
“To hear Obama state that “no American should be left behind” — has he forgotten about Benghazi and Marine SGT Tahmooressi?” blogged former Congressman and retired Col. Allen West.
On Monday, a Fox News journalist asked State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki why the administration would strike a precedent-shattering deal with the Taliban, yet can’t win Tahmooressi’s freedom from an ally and neighbor.
“I understand the desire to make comparisons, but we wouldn’t compare them,” Psaki said. “This is – was a Marine (sic) who was taken while in combat, and you’re talking about a situation of an individual who the Mexican authorities are accusing of violating the law.”
MY POINT EXACTLY .
Prepare for the tremors as Europe and America drift apart
When the governing council of the European Central Bank meets in Frankfurt on Thursday, it is widely expected to announce a loosening in policy – most likely a cut in both the refinancing and deposit rates. Two weeks later, the US Federal Reserve will probably respond to strengthening economic data by moving in the opposite direction, tapering the pace of quantitative easing for the fifth consecutive meeting. This is another sign of how monetary policy is diverging in the two largest economies, a trend that is set to shape funding markets for years to come.
In the US, output is set to rebound in the second quarter after having been disrupted by dismal weather in the first. And while price rises have been subdued so far, employment surveys suggest an emerging skills shortage and thus the potential for wage cost growth that could help lift inflation close to the Fed’s 2 per cent target. By any measure the labour market is tighter in America than in Europe, where the recovery remains weak and uneven despite buoyant financial markets. The gap between actual and potential output will barely shrink in the eurozone this year, and unemployment will remain close to a record high.
Before long, these divergent fortunes are bound to lead to large differences in policy. In the US, interest rates could begin to rise in 2015. In Europe, they are likely to stay low for much longer.
One might expect that movements in financial markets would reflect these expectations. However, so far, by and large, they have not. The dollar has been ailing for months, defying analysts’ expectations that the currency would strengthen in anticipation of higher US interest rates. What is going on?
The answer is that market expectations seem to count less than current conditions, which still support the euro. First, the high yields on government debt in countries such as Italy and Spain have made them an attractive investment for believers in the ECB’s pledge to do “whatever it takes” to save the euro. Second, America’s shrinking pension deficits may have stoked appetite among pension-fund managers to lock in profits and match liabilities, helping suppress long-term bond yields. And then there are the central banks. The Eurosystem’s balance sheet has been shrinking for more than a year, as banks that borrowed from the central bank under the longer-term refinancing operation (LTRO) have repaid their debts early. Meanwhile, the Fed’s balance sheet is still growing, albeit at a reduced rate.
However, these factors are temporary. LTRO repayments are coming to an end, US quantitative easing will be completed by the end of the year, five-year government bond yields in Spain are already similar to those in America and long-dated US government bond yields are pricing in unrealistically low expectations of future economic growth. Diverging monetary policy will soon begin to have more impact.
To my mind, investors should prepare for more volatility this year. The degree of easing of US monetary policy has been exceptional. The tightening, when it begins, will also be unprecedented. The tightening has not yet begun – the Fed’s balance sheet is still expanding. I see significant potential for volatility and setbacks on financial markets over the next few quarters.
In particular, the story is not over for emerging-market countries that rely on cheap dollar funding. The recovery of their stock markets and currencies in the past months does not reflect improved economic fundamentals, but a better mood among investors. These countries are still vulnerable. When US interest rates begin to rise, these borrowers may be able to turn to euro-denominated debt as an alternative source of cheap financing. However, this at best delays adjustment; improving fundamentals remains urgent.
The Fed’s balance sheet, which was about half the size of the Eurosystem’s going into the crisis, has now overtaken its European counterpart as a proportion of output. Emerging markets will not be the only ones to suffer when this trend goes into reverse. A tightening in US monetary policy always causes fallout. This time will be no different. In fact, it may be worse, since the tightening starts from extremely expansionary territory.

Bergdahl's Release Upsets Soldiers Who Saw Him as a Deserter
Over the weekend, President Barack Obama announced that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, 28, the only American P.O.W. from the Afghanistan war, had been released. Since then, many critics have questioned the decision to swap five top Taliban operatives, held in Guantanamo Bay, for the soldier, saying that swap will ultimately put more lives in danger. Now, many American soldiers are coming out against the decision for another reason. They say Bergdahl put their lives at risk when he abandoned his duties, and don't think he receives a hero's welcome home.
Bergdahl was reportedly seized by the Taliban in 2009, after he left the camp where he was stationed, without authorization. Bergdahl had reportedly become disillusioned with the war effort and wanted out. He was almost immediately captured and held in Pakistan, which According to the Washington Post prompted a dangerous and deadly search:
At the time, an entire U.S. military division and thousands of Afghan soldiers and police officers devoted weeks to searching for him, and some soldiers resented risking their lives for someone they considered a deserter... One Afghan special operations commander in eastern Afghanistan remembers being dispatched. “Along with the American Special Forces, we set up checkpoints everywhere. For 14 days we were outside of our base trying to find him."
Former combat medic Javier Ortiz told the Post that he had also felt disillusioned with the war but would not have abandoned his fellow soldiers. “I had a responsibility while I was there to the guys I was with, and that’s why this hits the hardest," adding "regardless of what you learned while being there, we still have a responsibility to the men to our left and right. It’s terrible, what he did.” Some soldiers said they think Bergdahl should be tried for desertion or going absent without leave (AWOL), both serious military crimes. The U.S. government, however, doesn't intend on pursuing charges. One senior defense official told the Post, “Five years is enough."

CNN, noting that six soldiers were killed during searches for Bergdahl, also spoke with soldiers upset by the news:
"I was pissed off then and I am even more so now with everything going on," said former Sgt. Matt Vierkant, a member of Bergdahl's platoon when he went missing on June 30, 2009. "Bowe Bergdahl deserted during a time of war and his fellow Americans lost their lives searching for him."
Whoever runs the anonymous Twitter handle @CodyFNfootball identifies himself as a soldier, and took issue with Bergdahl's release in a series of tweets posted over the weekend. He also offered a detailed account of the day Bergdahl went missing, noting that the decision to leave seemed premeditated and that Bergdahl had misrepresented the events:
Facebook groups denouncing Bergdahl have drawn thousands of supporters. One, called Bowe Bergdahl Is a Traitor, has more than 13,000 "likes," and another group (Bowe Bergdahl Is NOT a Hero!) has more than 5,000 members and links to a petition demanding his punishment.
According to the Telegraph, the narrative surrounding Bergdahl shouldn't be so black and white:
He deployed to Afghanistan in 2009 full of idealistic conviction that he and his comrades could push back the Taliban and improve life in the long-subjugated country. But hopefulness soon gave way to despair after his unit began to take casualties and he saw how U.S. troops treated the Afghans they were supposed to be saving.
Maybe that's something worth talking about, as well, and not just when discussing the singular case of Bergdahl.

Martha Stewart went to jail. hhmm what is wrong with this picture, is there not there not such a thing as "conflict of interest".
NW BIO REFUTES MORE FALSE CLAIMS BY FEUERSTEIN
Company Reported Positive Preliminary Responses in Phase I/II Trial Patients; Feuerstein Falsely Claims There Is No Positive Trial Information
PR Newswire
Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc. 7 hours ago
BETHESDA, Md., May 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO) (NW Bio), a biotechnology company developing DCVax® personalized immune therapies for solid tumor cancers, refuted the latest blatantly false and misleading statements made by Adam Feuerstein, in an article on Tuesday, May 27.
Feuerstein's headline: "Cancer Patients Aren't Responding to Northwest Bio's DCVax-Direct."
Feuerstein's claim: "None of the 19 patients with advanced, metastatic cancers have responded to treatment with DCVax-Direct in an ongoing Phase I clinical trial."
Actual facts: While still only part way through treatment, more than 50% of these patients (11 of the 19) have already shown tumor shrinkage of up to 28%, substantial tumor cell death and substantial accumulation of immune cells in the tumors. These data were shown in imaging scans and biopsies provided by the world-renowned cancer centers conducting this clinical trial, as the Company made clear in its announcement and conference call.
Feuerstein claim: "Under the globally accepted definition of tumor response known as RECIST (Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors), a partial response requires a 30% reduction in the size of the target lesion."
Feuerstein claim: "DCVax-Direct: 0% response rate."
Actual facts: There are numerous types of established measures of patient responses to treatments.
The measures reported in the Company's announcement (partial tumor shrinkage, substantial tumor cell death and substantial accumulation of immune cells in the tumors) are considered clinically significant and are regularly the focus of peer reviewed scientific and medical publications in oncology, particularly for late stage disease which is the focus of the Company's DCVax-Direct trial.
The RECIST criteria are just one set of measures, and the Company has made no claims about these measures. Further, the RECIST criteria themselves include multiple categories: they recognize not only a "Partial Response" of 30% or more -- they also recognize "Stable Disease" (which includes tumor shrinkage of up to 28% as has been seen among the early responses in the Company's DCVax-Direct trial).
"Feuerstein's so-called 'analyses' consist of false statements, serious misrepresentations and personal attacks and smears," commented Linda Powers, CEO of NW Bio. "Feuerstein's 'analyses' are contradicted by the concrete data from world renowned cancer centers, and by the validations NW Bio continues to achieve from regulators in both the US and Europe, key opinion leaders, healthcare system institutions, grant agencies and others. Feuerstein's commentaries seem designed to try to prevent investors from seeing the strength and progress in NW Bio."

White House mistakenly reveals CIA official's name................
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration accidentally revealed the name of the CIA's top official in Afghanistan in an email to thousands of journalists during the president's surprise weekend trip to Bagram Air Field.
The Associated Press is withholding the officer's name at the request of the Obama administration, who said its publication could put his life and those of his family members in danger. A Google search appears to reveal the name of the officer's wife and other personal details....
CAN THIS DUMB F**K DO ANYTHING RIGHT ???
Mr. Wheeler is a man of many talents including having received a doctorate degree.

For years he wrote a weekly intelligence update that was extremely interesting and well structured and informative. He consults(ed) with several mega corporations on global trends and the future, etc. He is in semi-retirement now. He is a true patriot with a no-nonsense approach to everything. He is also a somewhat well-known mountain climber and adventurer.

There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws of his can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it.
