Thanks Jon, looks like you were dead on, appreciate the posts
Mike
So if JonE's contacts are correct, AND the only isues are the name change and reporting deficiencies now resolved, Caveat Emptor removal could come as quickly as 1-2 days......is that a somewhat correct read of what we might expect?
Looks as though OTC is reporting receipt of financial and corporate data from Bourque as of today 10/18.
thanks Charlie for noticing. Hopeful signs that progress made toward CE/ Buyer Beware removal........
Please be more specific......what site are you directing us to, and what news are you referring to?
Thank You
Rock, we are very fortunate to have you on this board. I want to thank you for your well thought out, rational, unemotional analysis, which tempers some of the emotional side to this investing "experience" we're all having.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your technical insights, they are much appreciated by me and I'm sure many others here.
Please keep up the great work
Mike
Thank you Bowser, John2, this is proof positive that Bourque listens and heeds good suggestions from shareholders. This SWAT convention was first mentioned here by Bowser less than a month ago, and passed along by JohnII to Bourque......and they are now attending.
Very gratifying
Thank you Bowser, another big event with good exposure cant hurt. Not sure anyone can take credit, but no matter how JB and crew's attendance came about, I'm glad to see the company's continued exposure to national and international law enforcement. I hope they have extremely compelling point of sale material, videos, photos and data prepared for this convention.
Send me the sites youre looking at please. Thanks
PW. Im confused. Are you saying that it appears that the CE was removed? Where are you seeing this? Also confused by NASDAQ reference, sorry, Im probably a little slow on Saturday mornings!
Yup, you have to start somewhere, right.
Most new businesses have their first earned $1 bill taped to the wall behind the cash register, wonder if Bourque has that first $6,000 check pinned to the wall in JB's office?
The Collier order for 8 Plates has already been delivered, and is in hand ......just so we're clear on that. Small order? You bet. So Bourque is producing product somewhere....
Speedo, VERY VERY well said.
Wait Kryron Toe Nail Clippers! See , we're still on topic.
The Pentagon would pay at least 200 bucks a piece for them, if toilet seats were $600 at one time....
Thanks KZ for taking the time to give us your insights from yesterday's Grand Opening.
Being thousands of miles away, it helped greatly to get a feel for the progress being made and the overall mood and attitude of Bourque's management team.
Mike
Tell the truth Doug.....is that really YOUR Big Toe? KZ , that's gotta violate something....
Wanna bet that the "secret" surprise tomorrow is that all IHubbers get served free glasses of Minty Green Kool Aid and msybe some of those Fat Boy Ice Cream bars?
PW couldn't agree more. Although I've got my "friend of a friend twice removed" contact, there sure are lots of people who seem to know alot directly.
Here's what I'm wondering. With SO many knowing so much, you would think the daily share volume would be buzzing as well.....it's clearly not.
Why? News like this generally grows exponentially, EVERYONE'S brother-in-law knows about it 30 minutes after the secret is known.
And I dont think the tired excuses of CE removal and delayed NIJ cert's would continue to hold the volume down in the face of irrefutable looming mega contracts/orders.
Thoughts?
Verrrrrry loooong and strooong on BORK, but wondering........
It'll happen if and when they announce a significant (as in multi million dollar) contract. Several of them even better.
Price per share will follow the money.
Everything else is just temporary fluff.
Again, it's hard to know at this point.
On the one hand it seems like an awfully "rich" package for jb and crew, for a company just coming out of gate. I say this from the royalty perspective, not the salary side. But I dont know what a typical royalty package in similar industries would look like. In addition, we dont have the details on share restrictions etc, but share dilution to existing shareholders could be significant also.
On the other, having everything under 1 umbrella, controlled by one corporate entity, and paying upfront for the new basalt technology could pay off enormously in the future for current shareholders. And JB and crew should be plenty motivated to exploit all of the many applications/ opportunities Kryron has with this new restructuring.
So far the market seems to be shrugging, up a penny, 42,000 shares
I'm thinking it's all good
Sweet! Hope no one is diabetic......wait! Kryron syringes!
PWRon, until this , my first real foray into a tiny OTC Pink Sheet stock, I wouldn't have understood it either.
I believe it's simple supply and demand. And right now, there simply isn't enough demand for BORK shares on most days to keep any upwards momentum in the daily, hourly pps
The scenario you described , happened exactly to me yesterday.
Bought 4 consecutive 5000 share blocks in a half hour span or so. The pps of course climbed a couple of pennies on each trade ......apparently I was the sole "demand" at that time. A captive market for the few sellers around at that time. Using limit orders, I actually had to "up" my limit price a little each trade, and even in the middle of trades , to get to my objective of purchasing 20,000 more shares.
The minute I reached my objective, much smaller blocks were purchased for slightly less....
So, I'm thinking , there just wasn't anybody left in the room buying anything once I left the room. No demand, price falls .
This doesnt apply to the vast majority of exchange traded stocks where theres hundreds, thousands or millions of people "in the room" at any given time . Once demand begins to grow for BORK shares I would assume this would no longer be the case..
Just my uninformed opinion
Edge, I don't think so. Commander Lewis has a "sterling" reputation in the law enforcement community, and I think that will reflect positively amongst most investors.
Many of the current investors either heard about, or invested because of someone in law enforcement who educated them about the performance of Bourque's products. I know I fit in that category.
I can't speculate, but it would seem logical that Mr. Lewis' acceptance of the Board position would indicate his eventual retirement from Collier after his long years of service, and his "2nd career " beginning at Bourque..........
Regardless, his national , and international contacts within the LE and military communities will be extremely valuable going forward.
Nice job Bowser, that Arizona Star Daily article must've hit late in the day, I never saw it posted on any of the business news sites I monitor.
Might have played a role in todays pps increase. Maybe get a little carryover into Weds......
Or possibly David as in Star Of David........meaning Israel, home of the worlds most advanced counter terrorism/intelligence force Mossad.
Total speculation, or as Sgt. Schultz said...." I Know Nuuuuthing!"
Well said lazyeye. My feeling is if you cant reveal your source, then dont bother mentioning in first place. Its wasted time for both parties. Amateurish at best.
The Collier news this morning is remarkable given the fact that the NIJ Certification is not even in hand yet.
This is a significant endorsement from a highly respected law enforcement commander to be purchasing ballistic plates before the stamp of approval of NIJ is on them. He's basically putting his own credibility on the line because of his confidence in the Bourque product.........should not be perceived lightly.
To further sweeten the pot, he's committing to outfit ALL of his department with Kryron armor...........an even more significant endorsement.
More importantly, someone I care about greatly will hopefully be wearing one of these plates shortly.
Not a bad morning , all in all..............
Hi John, Thanks for that timely information, once again, above and beyond the call of duty.
A friend , who is also an investor had a thought , and asked that I pass it along to you. We have a mutual friend who is the Chief Of Police in a midsize Detroit suburb, who hadn't heard of Bourque and it's products.
Each year,in October, he attends a large gathering of the International Association of the Chiefs of Police in Chicago. Since a large number of exhibitors bring their wares to this annual meeting, and its such a huge, captive audience (sorry for the unintended pun), he felt it would be a significant demonstration opportunity for BORK. He is curious about the product and feels thousands of other Chiefs would feel similarly.
JB and crew may already be involved in this, but I hadn't read anything related to this, and thought you might pass it along to them.
Thanks and have a great week, Mike
I'm thinking the "buzz" around police/sheriff's depts. that have seen or heard of the BORK product is palpable. Now whether they can afford or can justify the expense of these plates is another matter, and nope the car analogy wasn't perfect, the cars pretty much were all comparable in price, however, they werent saving lives either.
Heres my thought train to justifying my BORK "over investment" beyond the emotional attachment which I try to ignore :
1) Is the product superior? Answer: Yes, I believe so. Back at the 80 cent mark I didnt have all the knowledge I have today, 120 days later. Wish I had, but enough people I know and trust have witnessed the product , or what JB is calling the product, work in ways that have literally amazed demo attendees. This LE market is a cynical bunch, have you ever met a non skeptical law enforcer? And yet theyre a bit starry eyed by what they see. I'm thinking its a better mousetrap in lots of unknown ways beyond the realm of ballistic protection that I'm only slightly familiar with.
2) Is it marketable at a premium price? Again, Yes I think so . Think Starbucks , Maserati, Gucci, Tiffany, Apple , you get the drift. Some buy identical underwear at Wal-Mart, and some at Macy's for considerably more money......why? Again lousy analogy in reverse. Our product is superior, superior commands premiums. Would you have bought a $6 cup of superior coffee 20 years ago when you could get one for 80 cents in a gas station? Not me, but millions do every day. Try putting a price on life. The actuaries do it every day, typical American life insurance policies average over $1 million today. Training a special ops soldier , probably in the hundreds of thousands. You say you've got a product that can stop/minimize grenade shrapnel? Theres a market for that. $600 more for the premium product....hmm let me think, yeah I think I'll opt for life instead of life insurance. Theres always a budget for "clearly superior"
3) Is there sustainability in the ability to provide a revenue/profit stream over the long term? Again, I believe so. In reading the thousands of posts here, I've read about dozens if not hundreds of applications. Wish I'd had a Kryron propeller blade last week when I sheared my neighbors off in the middle of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Hah! No one thought of that app. yet on the board! I'm more worried about there being TOO many possibilities and BORK getting sidetracked , they might develop corporate ADD from chasing the myriad applications .
4) I'm beginning to sound like a pumper, so here's my last litmus test before I hang it up. Is the management capable/ engaged , trustworthy and determined?. Ahh , there's the rub. I can't say right now because it's all perception. I just dont know. I'm thinking, after starting 3 or 4 businesses in the last 25 years , that I didnt have perfect management at the get go, but determination and 100 hour weeks overcame most of the problems of learning and capability. JB is a former carpenter. Carpenters build things, they put complex angles together. Most building projects begin with a design, followed by materials acquisition, assembly, and completion. I think management knows that. If they don't , they'll need to go into the market and acquire that management expertise. Headhunters routinely make 7 figures finding those people, and earn every cent because of the billions produced by those with executive talent. Talent migrates or rises to great opportunity, it's an inalienable law of market physics.
Night All,
Mike
PS: Wait! Kryron football helmets! No more concussions, but lots more broken bones!
Edge, You make some compelling points, and I'm inclined to agree with most. Allow me to play "BORK Advocate" for a moment.
BORK says they chose Level III in order to gain quicker access to a larger market, with the all important goal of coming out of the gate quickly during ramp up.
The obvious question is who would willingly pay 3-4 X the current market rate for a Level III plate , all things being equal ( I dont believe the competitors are exactly equal, but play along)
We're all banking on JB and crew having intimate , eyes only knowledge to the answer to that question. If they don't, they will be making a serious strategic mistake with their first product to market, and nobody wants that except the competition.
Why would BORK do this? Consider this old, but somewhat relevant analogy from the mid 1960's Detroit automakers, specifically GM.
During the muscle car wars, General Motors routinely under rated many of their vehicles and engines to make them look less powerful. They did this on big block engines , often rating Chevrolet 427 cu in. engines well below their true , dyno tested horsepower ratings. Why? Everyone wants to have the fastest, most powerful car right ? , especially with Chrysler's Hemi and Ford's Cobra 426 as the competition. The answer resided in the fact that cars with rated horsepower over 400 hp often cost twice as much to insure, effectively blocking the vast majority of young, cash strapped buyers from purchasing their cars. The result was huge numbers of Corvettes, Camaros, Chevelles and the like being produced , while relatively smaller numbers of other automakers products reached the masses. The point(s) are that this strategy allowed GM to meet a much larger market, and that everyone KNEW these cars were much faster than advertised. (And bought the livin crap outta them.)
I'm sure I've got a fact or 2 skewed, so please dont rip me on the above, but you see the strategy better. Of course bullet proof plates and performance cars are different, so my final point is this.
As the father of a young law enforcement officer (who posts here from time to time , and has attended a demo firsthand) who could face deadly force at any time, I'll be first in line to purchase him a BORK plate for his vest. I spent $3000 for his first vest 4 years ago because I didn't trust the dept. issued one. Knowing what I didnt know then, spending $800 for a product I know stops more rounds than the $200 one thats rated the same, means little to me. The fact is I KNOW it's better. I'm betting that thousands of other purchasing decision makers world wide will eventually have the same unadvertised knowledge, and will gladly pay for the incalculable real and perceived value of saving lives.
I'm thinking there's others thinking similarly, and in a position to purchase in more significant quantities. Emotional attachments to investments are always dangerous, and I'm verrry long BORK, but I think the BORK crew knows more than I do.
I'm gonna trust their strategy.
Thanks for the time
Mike
Hi, Thats the last test. Theres supposedly a military expo happening in Virginia , May 17-19. I dont believ this is another test, but a private miltary trade show for various vendors. Tying to determine if bourque is there exhibiting their Kryron.
Thanks
thanks, I will take a look .

type "bourque" into search bar
excerpt: Do not know if Bourqe is there or not...but would guess so
