It Never Stops. . . . Go MMTC. . . .
Aug. 20, 2012 -- Two people from Kentucky have died in an ongoing 20-state salmonella outbreak that has sickened at least 141 people.
CDC officials say cantaloupe from "a farm in southwestern Indiana" is responsible for the outbreak. These cantaloupes were shipped to other states. Neither the CDC, the FDA, nor state officials have identified the farm that grew the cantaloupes or the stores that sold them.
Among people for whom records are available, about half of the people infected during the outbreak have been hospitalized. The outbreak began in early July. Illnesses that began near the end of July may not have been reported.
The salmonella-laden cantaloupe behind this outbreak is not the same as the North Carolina cantaloupe also under recall. The North Carolina melons are contaminated with different bacteria -- listeria. This recall recently expanded to include all cantaloupe and honeydew melons produced this season by Burch Farms. Some of these melons may carry labels identifying them as coming from Cottle Strawberry Inc.
While there have been no illnesses yet reported from the listeria-laden cantaloupe, the salmonella outbreak has sickened people in 20 states: Alabama (7 reported cases), Arkansas (3), California (2), Georgia (1), Illinois (17), Indiana (13), Iowa (7), Kentucky (50), Michigan (6), Minnesota (3), Missouri (9), Mississippi (2), New Jersey (1), North Carolina (3), Ohio (3), Pennsylvania (2), South Carolina (3), Tennessee (6), Texas (1), and Wisconsin (2).
In every outbreak, the number of cases reported to the CDC is far smaller than the actual number of people who get sick.
The CDC advises people who know they have bought either cantaloupe from southwestern Indiana or from Burch farms to throw them out. Many of the melons bear no identifying label. The CDC's advice: "When in doubt, throw it out."
General, the show is not open to the general public.

The USA Today article was posted yesterday by Top Penny.
Hopefully MMTC will reap the benefits.
Ahoy mates. . . .
The big MM wind seems to have blown us off course a bit.
Our mate JaneyH seems to think we're not too far from the 002's.
I got me big telescope out & I don't see any 002's,
but in the distance I can make out the 004's & 005's.
Steady our course. . .set the sails.
The wind direction will soon change & the sea will be rough
but we will get there, maybe by the light of the silvery moon.
Tweety
Knock....Knock....
Who's there?
the
Salmonella
E-coli
Certifications
See you soon, JaneyH & others are impatiently waiting.
Congratulations, to all who were able
to purchase additional shares at these bargain prices.
I was able to add 303,030 shares today.
I think the 7,715,933 block was a buy even though it showed as a sell. Many buys were shown as sells today.
If you have big bucks you can have your broker call a specific MM
to negotiate a PPS for the qty that you want.
Keep the faith everyone. . .better days are not far away.
The MM's will play their silly interim games but in the long run we will be winners.
Tweety
If it hit .022 again........
I would jump in for a million.
Congratulations....vincen71
I think you made an excellent purchase.
Later this year everyone will pat you on the back
and say what a wise decision you made on Valentines day.
Is it really a Dumpfest....? or
just some smart buyers picking up cheap shares?
I just got in & saw that my order for 355,357 sh @.0056 filled.
It was done in 2 chunks 280K & 75,357. Both @ the bid so they show on level 2 as a sell. AUTO was the MM who had my order since yesterday.
Does anyone know if the 2,332,834 was a buy at the bid or a sell?
I think most of the sells @.0056 were mostly buys @ the bid but I have no way of telling unless I was constantly watching level 2 to see how many shares the MM's were showing at the bid price.
I sure hope the PPS stabilizes around this level.
Good luck to everyone.
Another Market for MMTC...?
The meat industry, AKA, 2003 Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy better known as Mad Cow Disease. This was quite a scare & after that our overseas beef exports were shunned. 2011 appears to be a record year for beef exporters. Can Mad Cow Disease happen again?
Can the MMTC software learn how to recognize Mad Cow Disease?
Stay tuned...don't touch that sell dial...many good things are coming down the road...even though we hit an occasional pot hole.
Today's Last Trade......
was @.0063 12:11:38 Eastern time which is 11:11:38 Central time
which is 9:11:38 Pacific Time. Total volume was 2,740,589 shares.
This is approximately 48 minutes before the demo started.
It will be interesting to find out why trading stopped.
Extra...Extra...Read All About It....
MM's are having a spectacular End of Year Sale.
Just One Day. Shop early and beat the crowd.
Dolphy, this is a good question that s/b asked at the demo.
Why is this "great" invention not getting any mention in the press while there has been so many food product recalls.
Perhaps there will be news media at the demo.
The demo should cure all doubters.
Has everything been sent to AOAC for the E.coli & Salmonella certification?
If so I would have thought that there would have been a PR to that effect. If it hasn't, what's the delay?
SRG, this is another good question for the demo.
Hopefully, Thursday Jan 5 will bring Cheer not JEER.
Oh Janey, I'm ready to admit that MMTC is a
S uper
C harged

M ighty
Thanks Freshbeginning.......
Can you imagine the law suit if someone developed kidney failure due to the E.coli bacterium?
The MIT 1000A can't get here soon enough.
Shab, if you & I has some cash available we'd start the ball rolling.
Tuesday......
If we get a PR on Tuesday & it has some good info other than the Jan. 5 demo we could see a test of .008 or possibly .0088
Volume will be the key in My Opinion.
Let's hope for the best.
Long & Strong on MMTC.
Junebug, IMO nothing special......
Probably just announce the live demo and invite everyone to attend.
Bankshot, Very Interesting...Thanks for the info.
Has it been tested, received certification from AOAC?
The MIT 1000A will be available very soon.
How about the ELS Technology? This is from the article.
We anticipate that, within several years, this method may become one of the most important technologies we have in the microbiological world.
Why wait several years when in a few months the MIT 1000A technology will be available world wide?
Coolnapz, That's a tough call...
By next qtr, meaning Jan 1, I'll say .01
During next qtr pending certs, lots of sideways movement.
News will really propel the PPS.
Maybe .10-.25 before certs.
Just a guess IMO.
Coolnapz, Easily in my opinion.
TopPenny, you sure come up with some good ideas.
Backcountry, you made some key points.
Marketing is the Key that will open the doors once the certs are in.
I believe the marketing has started to a point.
If Mr Brennan can get some of the right people to attend the demo they will see first hand that the MIT 1000A is the superior system.
How about a big name competitor of 3M in the pathogen arena coming to the demo....being impressed enough to attempt a buyout at some future time.
We can all speculate & hope for the best.
Go for It GeneralLee.....
Draw your sabre & slash through the MM's to get a good price.
Congratulations, Freshbeginning...
Good Purchase & a Good Price.
Tweety meant to make that PM not OM.
That's great Chartman....Thanks.
I will OM you on Monday after I upgrade.
Great Idea, Digra Ive......
Hopefully, Mr. Brennan will follow through.
I'm sure someone will video tape the demo & post it on you tube for everyone to enjoy.
Jwez, sure hope you can make the demo....
On Monday I will upgrade to PM.
I will then send you a PM as to where I will be staying, etc.
Congratulations ilcthree, you got a good price today.
I hope you are able to get a good price on your future purchases this month.
Anyone....How do I look at the Stickies?
Thanks
Thanks windansea.......This is for Super Gold Rush.
Super God Rush, do you think it would be a good idea for you to call Mr. Brennan & explain that we have some concerned investors who will attend the live demo and they are concerned about the following: I have copied this from Post# 44183.
Hi Tweety: If I get a positive response to my questions, I'll be happy to pick you up and carpool to San Clemente. Thanks for the offer on the gas.
The whole point is about the "lab guys". I hope some of them have experience in an actual food plant out in "the real world". Many of the potential customers for the MIT1000a will be conscientious, sharp managers, but there are always a few marginal ones, cutting corners, etc. to save a few bucks that could create the nightmare scenario. This is what I want to be sure Brennan is prepared to cope with.
Windansea, Glad you'll make the live demo.
I'll be flying in from Chicago & will stay in San Diego.
Can I catch a ride with you to the demo?
I'll flip for gas & your time. It'll be a pleasure to meet you.
We'll talk more after Mr. Brennan issues a confirmation on Thursday Jan 5.
Those were excellent questions you brought up.
They can be asked at the demo & I am sure the lab guys will explain everything in detail.
Keep your thinking cap on...we need more excellent questions.
Nathanial, Will you be attending the live demo?
You're right. This is an excellent time to accumulate.
I wish I had funds available.
TopPenny...Yes, the pictures should be great.
Wait till you see my collage. I already have a few ideas. It all depends on the pictures I get.
I normally create my collages in CorelDraw.
So if anyone uses CorelDraw just let me know which version they use & I will email them the .cdr file or if someone would pay for the postage I would mail it. No charge for paper, ink or time.
I could also create it in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator but I can do it much quicker in CoreDraw.
Just some thoughts if anyone is interested.
TopPenny, Go for it.
Every little bit helps.
Last week I sold my last holding (other than MMTC) & only had a little bit left which allowed me to buy 60,000 sh @.006
We will be rewarded in the not too distant future.
Congratulations, Freshbeginning.....
on your good purchases today.
I was thinking that you might have been the purchaser of 1 million @.0053
Good luck on your upcoming buys.
