Up .14 at open. I think the blood-letting may be done. The patient will emerge strong. Jmho.
Sorry, not trying to hammer home my post. Frappin' iPad!
.."all pullbacks are painful and seem sharp." Truer words seldom spoken and responding to that pain like an amoeba is what causes most investors to minimize their profits. One way out of that dilemma is be long, be resolute about your goal, be disciplined enough to ignore the fluctuations. Now, if the fundamentals change, then reassess or bail out. In the market, as in life, the strong consume the weak, (like Trump did Hillary as a candidate.) Ha! Shot my credibility with some on that statement!

De Nada. 1-3yr investment.
Buy now or after the next big rise imo. We just hit about 20% correction. Did same when we hit 1.81, then dropped to 1.45 - 20%. Whatever you do, don't jump off a bridge. We'll be back sooner rather than later.
3.43. Fugly. Overdue for correction, I guess.
They run about .19 per strip on amazon. Should be generating lots of sales as word gets around. Wonder what the profit margin is?
Platreef. Let the dead bury the dead. He meant, of course, those who were spiritually dead can waste their time burying the physically dead. In Platreef case, just relocate them so the mining can proceed and we'll pay you well. Everybody's a winner. Here's an update:

Or maybe even this bullish. The bull on the right is Ivanhoe. The cow is the assessment of NPV by most clueless analysts:
In other words, the phrase "We are sitting on a gold mine" will soon be replaced in the vernacular by "We are sitting on a copper mine." If copper moves to $10000/ton, I.e. $5 per pound, wonder what the buyout price would be for our little gem. $20B? Time frame about 3 years? In this business, the patient will get rich. The impatient will cash out prematurely and make a bad investment in a new car and a boat, both depreciating assets. TT will be mooring his ocean-going yacht in Miami in 5 years. I will be mortgage free. The patient will get rich here. Wait, I already said that.
Spot copper shooting up today about 10c. 9c more in sp and I hit 6 digit profit. Yeehaa!
Today's price action - for those not tracking spot copper price, it's down about .05 today. Ivpaf more likely mirroring that drop, rather than correcting for recent share price increase. Had hoped the Platreef news would counter, but apparently not.
I'm thinking you meant $3.00, not $2.00. I'm gonna jump out of the window (my basement one, I hate pain) if it drops to 2. Spot copper down a few cents after hours could lower the price a nickel tomorrow. That could be offset by the good Platreef news.
Full speed ahead on Platreef!

"Business is dead, but it's picking up"
$30.
Looks like we are set for some correction. May be a buying op for those who want more.
Streamingeagle88, yah, I hold 10K BLGO for a lottery ticket. Wouldn't bet the farm there. Management lacks a track record of accomplishment. Would be nice. I am impressed by Chicago Bridge and Iron Works connection. They are a multi-billion dollar company. But that could just be name dropping from a minor signed agreement. GLTU.
TT, you aced AVXL, and I think you aced CTIX. What do I mean by aced? You got out near the top of the cycle. That's extremely hard to do. I have been in 6 figure profits 4 times in my life - abrx, cptc (both now BK), INO, AVXL, and exited with a 70K profit once, abrx in early Y2K (anyone remember that term). I am now close to my 5th 6 figure profit with ivpaf and you are at 7 figures based on your announced shares bought near 1$.
I conclude from my history versus yours, finding a big winner is the easiest part. Exiting is harder. When the time comes for exit, ha,ha, maybe you could give a little hint like "May be time to take a little off the table." With such a large float here, it won't crash as a few iHub-ers scramble for the exit. If you don't do that, I will probably follow Dadofmarc into Apache management,I.e., ride this horse until he is dead (as we have done and continue to do in AVXL), then look for yet another horse.
What's a little civil war among friends? I've seen the movie and the Chinese probably have a stock of AK-47s in the food storage room. Seriously, I believe the crisis is on hold until December thanks to the recently negotiated election agreement with Kibala. Then he will either step down for a democratic election like we just had, or he will declare martial law like our current fearless leader would like to do. Oops! There I go again. Giddy from the continuing price action.
Some may have seen this article published this morning. IMO it is offsetting the very slight down in copper prices.

Spot copper down slightly, -.015, this morning. Ivanhoe has been mirroring spot copper, but not quite 1:1. Suspect a slight down day tomorrow based on this data. Buyers up! (Like "batter up" in bb.)
For those worried about a pullback, maybe not. IVPAF sp has closely mirrored rise in copper from 2.50 to 2.67 last couple weeks, as TT just pointed out with the latest spot price. The mirroring is not quite 1:1. More like a few cents up in sp for each penny in spot copper. So unless copper starts back down, which seems unlikely, we should hold. Spot copper is reason I added 5K + 5K this week. Potential buyers - be not afraid. But check daily spot price before purchasing, imo.
Dad, this is odd. My SIL got his cardiologist bonus a couple months ago. They signed contract to buy their McMansion in February. Maybe it's the strange wx we are having influencing docs to buy new houses. Maybe it's my daughter. Thank goodness my SIL holds the hand receipt for her aspirations now, and not me. Not to mention her sister who's getting the house bug. Her husband is small business CEO. I would need 500,000 shares of Ivanhoe just to keep my head above water with them. Hey, I'm easy. All I want out of this deal is a new MDX hybrid. And maybe in my wildest dreams to retire my mortgage. $20 per share and I'm golden. Eastern Caribbean after that. Looking forward to next few months. Have a nice weekend. Unfortunately, you guys work long hours and occasional weekends too.
Now, eddy, THAT'S ridiculous! Why? Because I can't even count that high. But I would welcome the opportunity to try. Like Dadofmarc, I hung around too long with AVXL. Never fall in love with a stock. OT, Dad. I sold my 25K AVXL at 10.70, then panicked when it went back to 12 and bought it back. The I rode it down, way down. I felt like I got a double body slam by Verne Gange. Who? Google him.
Foul (or not so fowl) deed is done, AirAir. 50K. Hated the 2.42 price for last 5K, but my average sp is $1.63. If I buy anymore, I'm volunteering myself for the 12 step addiction program. GLTA. Read TT's post and I do hope there is a combination of sale of one of 4 assets now (2017) and develop rest, or sell the rest individually. I could enjoy a $10/sh dividend.
Yes, added 5K @ 2.28. Seemed so high, now seems so cheap. At 45K and itching for 50K, but THE PRICE IS TOO HIGH! Same thing I thought at 2.28, 1.80, 1.50, 1.40...
Spot copper up this A.M, 2.57 close yesterday, 2.61 open today. Trend bodes well for continued rise, even as we await trigger events like 1Q PEA. Should close over 2.30 if ivpaf follows the spot price. OT, Hey, no politics, but for some reason, I'm looking forward hugely to dinner and like-minded-individuals happy hour in 8 days in FF VA.

BMO - Bank of Montreal.
Just broke $3...if you are Canadian. This could be the year I put AVXL and other drug stock fiascos in my rear view mirror.
Good listen TT. I managed to "wade" through the interview yesterday. I guess with $85K invested, it's worth a 45 minute listen. I also reread (skimmed) the SA article. This stock should grow as a "step function." PEA due 1Q, PFS due 2Q. Both should provide nice bumps. That, along with a favorable metals price trend, should make for a very good Q1-Q2 2017.
Air air, when I said a double, I was deliberately being very conservative. My expectation is definitely higher. Still, I am holding at 40K. Even as great as the potential here, I don't want all my eggs in one basket. Then again, 50K shares has such a nice ring to it...
Welcome to 2017, the year IVPAF investors double their fortunes.
The last minute political settlement in the Congo, with elections to be held by end of year, means full speed ahead for Ivanhoe, (until, of course, the politicians all renege on the deal; I mean this IS the Congo!)
To be precise, the Muslim unrest, which is concerning to me is in northern DRC, near Sudan border. The other violence has been sporadic throughout the country and has recently been in protest of Joseph Kabila, who was due to step down Dec 20th. He and the Catholic Bishops and opposition party are trying to negotiate elections for 2017 instead of Kabila's proposed 2018. I was only being half facetious when I suggested Chinese "security" and I presume none wants to kill the golden goose, except maybe the Muslims who are total wildcards.
Did a search and read DRC news. Instability a way of life. Muslim extremists, tribal rifts, militant lawlessness, abound. I presume whoever wins out will want the mining income to continue to flow. I say let's partner with the Chinese and have them post about a thousand "security guards" with Kalishnikovs and let's mine baby.
Merry whatever you want, not a...
I want a Merry MAGA Christmas this year; I want a Merry Ivanhoe Christmas in 2017. Meantime, peace on Earth, good will toward men ( as in mankind). But I also would change the "not a..." to "definitely yes a..."
Oh,oh. MRK has "highly effective" Ebola vaccine. Today's news. We better nail Zika.
