Nor will they ever get to swing, Monda, if they don't WANT to step up to the plate.
I can't imagine being in this industry at this time and not being at the trade shows, out marketing the product with potential buyers/partners, or reaching out for possible business.
What they have was brought by Jim. Maybe there is enough business there with the Army and with the lab to sustain business for a few more years. What bums me out is that they have a marketable solution for easy implementation in a trucking fleet but there is no visible movement to partner with a major player in that field.
We all speculate that the armed forces would see a major benefit by switching to DME and utilizing the AFT pump design, but I see no movement there either. Maybe the cogs are moving behind the scenes, but it seems real quiet if that's the case.
I have lost patience because of the flippant lack of investor communication and the serious lack of entrepreneurial spirit that Jim brought to AFT. Am I being too hard on Kathy? I don't think so. There is no excitement around this company - and that is a direct result of leadership. Who else to blame?
Sorry if this is negative, because I hold a lot of stock in this company. I have not flipped a single share. I have only accumulated and bought more a month ago when the supposed news was coming out. So if I'm continuing to invest and believe I feel like I should be treated like a believer.
Isn't this what AFT did already with Volvo?
It's not at all what we did with Volvo. Not even close to the same scale. There are funds out there to put together a test with an entire municipality that would be high profile for anyone who participated.
How about Oberon, AFTC, USPS?
Oberon, AFTC, Allied Trucking?
Oberon, AFTC, Minneapolis transit authority?
The Volvo thing opens doors to bigger and stronger partnerships.
My point all along has been, "Who is working these types of opportunities on behalf of AFT?" If it were my company I would have a full-time business developer on my team instead of just R&D people.
Just sayin'....
How else are they going to grow (if growth is even an objective?) Maybe they just want to do R&D and not grow the business at all. That's possible...
Sorry it took a while to get back to this, Monda.
If I were running sales for AFT, I would be at every engine manufacturer in the world showing them how this pump works. You don't need to redesign the engine, from what I understand. You make minor modifications to utilize this pump. I got this info from dozens of way-past posts, so forgive me if I'm way off.
That said, go "sell" this to all of the manufacturers. Go partner with the Oberon's of the world.
Classic idea (interchange the names - doesn't have to be these):
Partner with Volvo (engine manufacturer), Oberon (DME producer), and Fed-Ex trucking (Logistics company)and put together a large pilot program.
Once again, if you're being proactive about succeeding in this industry, do a show-and-tell. Not just a tell.
5 pumps in Shanghai ain't gonna get it done.
I'm 100% with you Boobie. AFT SHOULD hook up with Oberon and promote the heck out of their solution.
Monda, I would be delighted if AFT would put a higher priority on removing the stop sign and staying current with filings. But the number one priority of a company should be finding revenue.
Why is there no sales or marketing team at AFT? It was Jim. Now it's no one. There is major opportunity to be partnering with the Oberon's of the world. Otherwise, how will ANYONE ever hear about AFT technology?
Kathy, GET OUT THERE AND PROMOTE THIS PRODUCT. Trade shows, partnerships, sales opportunities - you will never grow this company without promoting it!
You make a good point, Brinks. And I was hoping your truck was going to back up to my garage with my AFTC gains.
One problem is that the ONLY major shareholders that own AFTC are members of this board. So you're right - the stock rises and falls on minimal news as a direct result of us buying and selling between .0015 and .0030.
Kathy's report was not negative, but it was lacking in depth. She has hinted at contracts, customers, investors, and other opportunities and left us all hanging with her briefly written, poorly executed letter to investors.
If you were her boss, would you accept that as a three month progress report? I run a sales team - if any of my account executives had submitted that as the sum total of 90 days worth of work, I would have shown them the door.
Kathy may not like it, but we own small pieces of this company. Our money is real, whether she directly benefits or not. We were treated poorly as investors.
Does AFTC have a future? Sure seems like it. But with leadership like Kathy is demonstrating, I'm wondering...
Who is selling and marketing products for this company? Or do they just wait for business to come to them? Could happen, I guess...
I gave up watching the day to day activity on this stock. Of course, I had to come back today to catch up on the week's posts!
Obviously, someone or someone's have lost patience with AFTC and the stock is suffering for it. And it's crazy that it depresses me because I know it is only a temporary dip. As always, news will propel this this stock higher. Kathy's news was not earth-shattering (as apparently some expected), but it was reasonably good news. Prospects are solid for our little company. As much as I hate to be patient, it is patience that is once again required.
Hurry up and wait...
I could have written that letter in about 10 minutes, which is about the amount of time I expect Kathy spent on it. There were so many things she could have commented on but didn't.
You do not treat shareholders like poop. She acts like we are the enemy instead of people who invested in and believe in her company and products.
I don't expect her to BS anything that isn't true or speculate on any pipe dreams. But I would like to know what they spent their time working on for the past three months.
If I didn't report to my boss, I'd be fired. As shareholders, don't we all own the company!??!?
Entire market down big today on AFTC news. Coincidence? I think not!
That's a pretty nice opportunity Kathy mentioned. That is simply a start as to what is possible with JP-8.
Whoever was waiting for multi-million dollar contracts might be disappointed, but it is about what I expected. This company is growing, albeit it slowly. I have no real complaints!
Thanks Kathy, you lived up to your word.
If we don't get news in the next 24 hours, Kathy broke the promise she made in her last statement. The number one responsibility of a publicly traded CEO is to provide a return on investment to investors. Kathy, do your job.
Kathy has two days to live up to her promise of releasing news in late April or early May. I consider this mid-May, but I will give her the benefit of the doubt. If there is nothing out by this weekend, she loses serious credibility in my eyes. C'mon, Kathy, don't let us down!
I give it til the end of the week.
Which is next week. Late April or early May. Once we get past May 15th, it is no longer early May.
I'm hoping we can trust Kathy to live up to her word. We need some good news. I'm tired of waiting!!!
Have a great weekend. I'm off to Vegas!
Every day that goes by is one day closer to news. Nine days left - or less!
The reality is going to be that they've moved some things along. I'd be really surprised if they signed any major contracts or deals over the past three months. If they did, it would have been reported somewhere and our DD gurus would have found it. Even highly confidential work would have leaked out somewhere. In my opinion...
I do not expect any earth shattering multi-million dollar bonanza for AFTC this past quarter. (If that happens, hold on!!!)
But I do expect that they will have made some progress in further developing partnerships and opportunities. That in itself would be great news.
I also expect to hear about where they obtained their financing and how much they diluted our shares to do so. Regardless, their ability to continue their groundbreaking work in this field makes us more valuable, not less.
So I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic about where we are headed. I would be delighted if my realistic expectations are less than what actually occurs.
11 days or less, people...
I can only see the total volume (169k shares) but what is the point. Really? .0022?
That's why you can't watch this stock on a daily basis. It's just silliness.
Jim's passing was about the worst news one could expect. Bless him for developing this nice little company.
The good news is that Kathy and team continue to build on his legacy. There is talent in place to move this company forward.
13 days til news. Made me remember a great JJ Cale song "13 days, we got 5 to go." Extra bonus points to you if you remember that song.
But we've got 13 days or less til news. Keep selling in the .002's, knuckleheads!!!
14 days. We are 14 days (or less) from news. Why anyone would sell at this point is ludicrous, unless the news is terrible. I think that is highly unlikely given the current moves made by the company.
So if you're a gambler (and isn't that anyone who deals in penny stocks?) why would you sell now?!!??! Put your chips on the table and roll the dice. This company will have a great story in a few short days. Even if the news is not earth shattering, it is going to be a step in the right direction.
April, out like a lamb. Maybe May will be in like a lion? 15 days or less until news...
It is amusing when you have a ton of shares how big of a difference .0002 makes in the closing price. That's why this will be so much more fun when it hits .02 and higher!!!
Good morning back at ya! It does not get much later in April, so I'm thinking it's now early May. Which mean before May 15th. Which means within the next 17 days. Two weeks from this Friday.
I don't do it often, but I checked the website this morning. I am actually excited about this! I am truly hopeful that the company has made strides worth bragging about.
Go AFTC. I need a nice win!
It does ask the age old question, though. Who is selling these shares and why? There is pending news. Chances are the news is going to be interesting, if not earth-shattering. Why sell?
Green would be nice. An astounding number of shares traded in the low to mid 20's today. With news coming soon, I would not be willing to part with a single share.
Unless someone is privy to bad news...?????
Reasonably high number of shares exchanged today as well. Close to 4 million. I ask, as always, who is selling here!?!??!
So I'm with this executive today at a major natural gas company in Atlanta. I'm not making this up! So I ask the man if he knows anything about DME. He says, "oh yeah, di-methyl ether. We're looking into that."
Granted, this is no big news flash, but it was nice to get validation that we are all on the right track.
Just thought I'd share!
According to Kathy:
AFT has received cash investments for some stock that was issued by the company.
This is going to dilute our ownership. One of the uncertainties at this point is what she sold. I'm no stock expert, but they could have done any number of things to raise capital and dilute ownership.
The upside is that someone thought enough of AFT to invest in the future. Kathy felt the company needed to raise capital for upcoming projects.
Why is this company so interesting? Those projects could be worth a substantial sum. If they are and the capital infusion is to support growth, this stock has fascinating potential.
Why are we all so anxious for news? Because it should and probably will contain a glimpse of where AFT is headed. Government contracts, corporate partnerships, ongoing research... anything is possible. If you're going to invest in a company where everyone knows everything that is going on, expect limited returns because there are no surprises. AFT is so under the radar that we have no real idea what to expect.
What we do have are some great DD'ers and speculators that have given us realistic expectations, but they could be right, wrong or sideways until we hear from AFT.
But I like our guys! I'm thinking Monda, Luna, and Sleeper are on the right track. My 7 figures worth of shares could actually be worth 7 figures some day if they are even 10% accurate.
So take a chance if you will. 1000% return possible. Or go with a blue chipper and get a 5% ROI (maybe).
Sorry about the previous post, it was .0025. I wish it was at .025!
Why not, JT? I just look at it like free money down the road. I was gonna try when it was at .025 today but I missed the window.
As they said in Blazing Saddles, I'd like to present you with this laurel, and hardy handshake.
I can't wait to walk up to someone who sold me 500k shares the other day at .0026 and present them with a laurel, and a hardy handshake, and thank them because I just sold them a year later at .026 per share. Or higher. I'll take a 10 bagger.
This is a company with no downside. The stock does, because people are obviously still selling. But the company doesn't. There are contracts and revenue in the wings. I can't wait to hear about it.
My question is why sell TODAY? You could have sold you 500k shares two days ago for .0028 and you're happy to do it today for .0024?
That doesn't make sense to me. This is not a stock that is going down...
Couldn't be happier with my additional 500k. I am awed by the mentality of people who are selling here. Is there no awareness among the sellers that news is right around the corner? Thank you for your dim view of the prospects of this company! Even if the stock only doubles it's an extra grand in my pocket.
As long as you're not late for dinner. 30-45 more days until we get news. And the stock sits at .0025-.0026. Who sold below .0030? Your pile of regret will be turned into DME real soon.
Good morning! I have a full day of conferences but I will be keeping an eye on AFTC. I am reinvigorated by all the recent activity. This should be an interesting 60 days!
Yet no one willing to step in above 32 right now. Fear of spending a few extra dollars now will potentially cause you to miss when this runs!
Trading seems a bit slow to start the day. This is a story that needs to be told... no one yet listening, though. Is that a good thing?
I always thought asking for a quarterly update was fair. Now Kathy has determined that updates will be issued within 45-60 days after the end of a fiscal quarter. I'm down with that. So we should receive a real update no later than 5/31/14.
Time for us to be patient. But this time, with a promise of upcoming news. I guarantee (IMHO) that the news will certainly not be bad!!!
An interesting comment from the AFTC post about receiving an investment in exchange for stock.
I see the good news is that they got some capital to invest in their future. Does this also mean, however, that there was a dilution of stock?
Thoughts?
I asked this earlier, but now I have to ask again:
Who in the world is selling this in the 20's!??!?!
We had a nice run today which has just as quickly been eradicated. Which is simply astounding to me since the company is making strategic moves that indicate something seriously big is happening.
What is wrong with you sellers?!?!?!?
Here are a couple easy conclusions:
The company is an ongoing concern
Kathy did the paperwork so we know she's in charge
They would not have taken this step without a real good reason
They could have continued to operate under their MI LLC but needed to take this step for........
Something really good is happening at headquarters. What's behind curtain number one!??!?!
