The "watchers" are here, the "pumpers" took off early for the weekend!
Well, MCArmel1, at least we are investing in the local economy! Let's hope people have some money, soon, so they can enjoy themselves in Vegas again! GLTY
Chips, you called it right on the money! Those are the guys to listen to. They call it as they see it. They have been good to me & explained a lot to me over the last 9 months.
You also did your DD pretty quick for a newbie! Don't stop.
That's a pretty fair "reader's digest" summary of CGFI's position you have there.
Great to hear a new voice! GLTY & welcome aboard to you and all the new investors!
Bulldog, odds are that each accused "infringer" will want separate litigation. Since there is a penalty of treble damages for "willful" infringement, they won't want to be all lumped into one legal action.
I'm pretty sure that each defendant will want to mount their own defense, since circumstances in each case will be or at lease will try to be made to seem different. Also, some if not all of the suits may be filed in different states or even countries.
Also, as each case comes to trial, the follow on defendants will be watching the strategies used and how successful they are.
All on MHO, of course!
Agreed. It had to be a big one with the right connections world wide. I'm as confident as can be w/ KS!
Yeah, and those will be the hardest to predict. We know US law, but Japan or Sweden, (for example) I don't know crap about those!
Again, credit to my attorney friend. The key to each suit is where they get filed and also the country. We can't assume they all will get filed in the USA.
FWIW, make money on this as it jumps. It WILL be a rollercoaster in a lawsuit situation! JMHO
Phrantic, to take your scenario a step further, after the feeding frenzy, the price will rise and fall dramatically as each suit develops. Each suit will be filed separately and usually each defendant will stand on their own. As the box score goes one way or another on each case, the stock will rise or fall in steps.
Obviously to you savvy traders this will present a trading opportunity at each step. If you know how to play this, you could make a nice profit far beyond the value of the stock.
All in my humble opinion, of course!
Titan, the news will develop like a F117 air strike. You won't hear it till it hits, and you won't see it coming! You'll wake up one morning and the price will be exploding! LOL!
Hang in there, it is tough to be patient! GLTY
I totally agree!
We were joking around about "possibilities". You need to look at the thread to see it. It's like a joke you try to re-tell, sometimes you just had to be there to understand.
Baby steps at this point are all I'm asking for. We can run later.
GLTY & happy investing!
I have an Atari! LOL
I'm lazy, using my iPhone. But Side set me up w/ a good link. Thanks BB!
Bob, I think we need to start a list of some of these suggestions! It looks like my type of ride.
Let's hope CGFI goes the way it needs to, then I can set one of these narrow gauge trains up in my back yard! All we need now is mill approval!
AK, let's keep our fingers crossed on this one. I just like the work ethic of these guys. Never give up, never surrender attitude. They deserve to make a boatload of bucks, if anyone does.
I'm sure they will "get 'er done"!
Side, Thanks for the hook up. That one worked just fine. I knew I remembered reading "billions of units" somewhere. Your fantastic!
AK, don't bother with the good stuff, they wouldn't know good from bad! I would suggest having "bigone" bring them some Mississippi river water, but that's too good for the cry babies!
BB, link goes to a dead page. It just shows a bunch of lines saying article can't be found. Maybe it has something to do with a sign in?
Found it ! Post 6479.
"Hopefully FINRA doesn't place a HALT on this stock due to the fact that they were contacted to monitor it; that would mean you can no longer even sell it anymore."
Scare tactics or what?
Vnl420, I know it's tempting to fly first class, but if it hits .25, then you can drive down to Silverton in your new (insert expensive ostentatious vehicle of choice here)!
There is a lot of pretty country along the way, it may be fun to "road test" your new baby! Besides, I'll want to see the bling everyone buys for themselves!
I'm only 750 road miles away, so its a 2 day pleasure ride. I just have to see if the wife will agree to sit that close to me for that long! LOL
Let's keep hoping and dreaming.....dreams do come true!
GLTAYCGFI-ers!
I don't know, but seem to remember when the infringement research was done, the number of items sold that infringed on the patent was into the BILLIONS! If they get a penny each for those, that adds up to quite a large back-pay day!
Would love to be a fly on the wall when they open those letters!
The phone lines to the legal departments would be burning up! Let's hope WL's lawyers are leveraging the hell out of the Dell agreement.
Yup Bulldog, that's exactly what I said about 2 weeks ago! That would be the benefit of buying WL. It would be a gamble, but they would be buying on the strength of the patents. Add in the strength of the big name of the buyer and their (usually) large legal team, the cockroaches would be running for cover!
It's like a game of "let's make a deal". The parties will reach an agreement, trying to save the cost of litigation and time involved. Both sides will give up a little to gain a lot. It usually works out best for both.
Let's hope that's not going to happen here. LOL
67, I have a feeling that, for the Yahoo guys sake, it's a good thing we are not doing this face to face. You might set off a claymore in their house! LOL
I believe in karma, and also believe they will reap what they sow. Negativity will bite them in the butt sooner than later! GLTY
And it's a great deal for WL. It strengthens their position re: the lawsuit, and gets them great exposure to thousands of potential customers. Every Dell PC shipped w/ predictive keyboard will be an advertisement for repurchase as an add on to other non Dell or older PCs. I like the developments!
You win the door prize 67! Sounds like your a movie buff like me. (I'm only good at the older movies)
Donald Sutherland as "Oddball"!
I have to give credit to my good friend who is a lawyer. He ran the scenarios for me a couple of weeks ago. He even cited a few companies that were in WL's position.
There are a few pitfalls, but that's an intricate explanation, mostly depending on where the law suits are filed, if it goes that route.
All in all, it should work out well for WL, and Dell is the first step. All in our humble opinion, of course.
GLTA
Yup, that's right. A preemptive strike!
I see 3 avenues for any company caught in the infringement vise.
1. Secure an agreement for licensing, ala Dell.
2. If your big enough, buy WordLogic.
3. Roll the dice in court.
Seems like # 1 is the cheapest way out.
Any choice is good for WL!
That's the Plan 67! Next summer in Silverton! We can all show off our "bling"! The guy with the biggest net profit buys the first round! LOL
"Positive vibes, Moriarity, positive vibes! Woof!". (name the movie reference)
Go CGFI!
True Bud, keep positive thoughts!
Crow will never be on the menu! Humble Pie is also banned!
It's surf & turf all the way! Served on gold plates! LOL
Well, I like road trips, and I'm not that far away. So let's keep it on the back burner and see who else is game. Anyone feel like a road trip in 2012?
Depending on the price of gold you use, and the estimated ounces of gold in the ground, someone recently showed a PPS valued at $1. That did not include the silver or copper the mine also contains.
IMHO, .60 is a reasonable number, but it may take a bit of time to reach that. GLTYA!
Sounds like a road trip! Let's get this mill going and making us some money first and then we will know if we need the discounts or not. I'll bet Silverton would just love to have a group of nouveau-riche tourists in town! After the recent fire, any business is probably welcome & needed. GLTA
I'm not as good at analyzing the charts as you are, Frodo, I go more on years of business experience. I feel we will see some news on the merger soon. I just upped my position substantially on Friday in anticipation of that happening. This is strictly a "gut feeling", but I think price wise we are still in bargain territory.
Let's see what happens next! GLTA!
And how about some "golden fried chicken" for all those bashers who couldn't quite bring themselves to invest in CGFI?
We can offer it at a bargain price!
And as JMP623 recently reminded me, don't forget the oxygen! The air gets thin in orbit! LOL
Keep looking up!
Don't forget the barf bags, this ride may be ballistic! Straight up & into orbit? GLTA & happy investing.
According to Scottrade, that figure is not accurate. They dropped a zero! It should have been .0006 PPS.
Don't we all wish that were true price.
Maybe someday soon with mill permit that will be a bargain price!
Thanks for the find from YouTube grt!
I can understand, I have. Been holding since late '06, and right now I'm at break even point.
Boyd was smart enough to hold all new construction when the market tanked, so they were lucky and had a lot of cash available. (That cash was intended for their new property. I can't remember the proposed name of it right now, but it was going to be a "super casino" like MGM's City Center.)
My good friend works at Sam's Town, so I get my info right from a reliable source. It's public knowledge, no insider stuff, but at least it's the straight story, no PR fluff.
Good Luck in whatever you decide to do. I know it's frustrating not seeing any great increase in your investment. If you sell, you can always re-buy when things start to break better for Boyd!
Molly1,
I'm still holding on to my shares. I live in Vegas, and the local casinos are ALL having a rough time of it right now. Boyd is at least holding on / maintaining its PPS, although they have had some ups & downs.
Boyd's properties are economizing where they can. It's a slow climb back, and when the bigger strip casinos do better, the locals will do better too.
The local people don't really go to the Strip for fun, but they do work there. It's a trickle down type of situation.
As you probably know Vegas has gone through a bad period of housing repossessions, and the building trades have been hurt badly. These are/have been the two biggest employers in the area, casinos & construction. Without them, locals are hurting financially.
Most strip casinos' parent corporations are doing well only because of their Macau properties.
If you can hold long, then IMHO, do so. But if you can't stay long, then at least get your investment back.
If I can give you any local info, I would be happy to. GLTY!
