I'm still holding on to the life raft, Phred! Santa may not be here this year, but what's another year among friends?
Lets start giving it another coat of paint! I'm not picky about the color, as long as it is some shade of green.
I still haven't seen mine. I'm starting to feel like the red haired step child at PCFG!
Oh well, it really doesn't matter. It would have been nice to put the notice up on the tree with those from some of my "other gold prospecting" investments. Then I can at least point at them and say, "There's my Christmas present money for this year!" (Or is that Christmas Past money?)
PCFG
Nice! CGFI up to .034 so far, hope it holds. Keep cutting my losses. (Long way to break even, but I'll take what I can get!)
What makes you think we will be around in 24 days, AK?
The Incas only give us 9 days.
Congress and their "fiscal cliff" give us only 22 (IF they work every day, including weekends and holidays. But Congress only seem to work 2 days a week, so by their schedule that 4 days!!!)
Lets face it, we had better open up the grog stores and start the party now. If we are wrong about the timing, we will not care one way or another what happens when the day (who's ever it is) arrives!
Can't really speak to financing, Brendan. I would only be guessing, particularly in today's economy. Banks are getting tougher and tougher to deal with as time goes on.
I do expect the mill to be ready for production, but I expect the time frame may be slightly longer than what CGFI stated. {I believe that was late spring of '13. Most projects take longer than "projected". I guess that is why they are called "projects".}
Lets face it, the company is trying to do as much as possible, with very little cash. So they use shares of stock as payment, which in effect makes the contractors investors, just like us. (No pay day for anyone, if the mill does not start to produce.)
Either you believe in the future of CGFI and hold on to your stock, or take the loss and sell, IMHO.
There will be no "profits" until the mill is running.
As Meatloaf said: "There ain't no Coupe de Ville hiding in the bottom of a Cracker Jack box".
CGFI will (and is, IMO, trying to,) make their money the old fashioned way, earn it.
Just being realistic.

Thanks, JM!
The concept of a "Work in Process" seems to escape some readers.
There has been no revenue, and will not be, until the mill is up and running. The history of dealing with the DRMS explains why there has been no production. You can't run the mill until ALL the requirements are met. (That should be soon.)
Asking for a profit before them is unreasonable.
When production starts, then we can discuss the earnings/expense ratio.

I calls 'em like I sees 'em AK!
Oh, that ice, it keeps melting out here. It is still in the mid 70's this week.
(Guess ill just have to fix the ice maker.)
Thanks, GB! To me it was a no brainer. The cost to double my position was so small it would have been a mistake not to.
Sure there is a risk, but I see that risk getting smaller every day the opening of the mill gets closer.
GLTA!
Thanks, but I'm not worried about taking advantage of an opportunity.
No guts, no bucks!

I'm having some difficulty with the grog mixture lately AK. It calls for 5 lbs. of ice. The ice maker on the refrigerator is broken, and I can't find the recipe for making ice!! (Anybody have the recipe?)
Oh, by the way, I just doubled my shares of CGFI. The opportunity is just too good to pass up.
Heck no! There be sharks out there in those waters. We are whale watching now, mou10mn!!
I'm on board for the duration & going to see this voyage through to the end.
What's another year among friends??
You were just concerned that Texas wouldn't have enough spirits for you when you drive thru!!
Glad you had a great trip, and thanks for the update on the POW mill. It's nice to get an "eyes on" report!
Hey LJ, we may need to pick the lock on the grog locker! I can't find the dang key!!
I have been doing a lot of lurking lately. Just wanted to avoid jail. I was about ready to rip a head or two off when I read some of the "opinions" (spell that misinformation) that flew around for a few weeks. And like my Mama told me "if you can't say something nice about someone, keep your mouth shut!"
(Now that had me conflicted, 'cause my Pa would have advised saying something with at least several 4 letter words in it, telling the author what they could do with their "opinions"!)
I'm still holding long, trying to scrounge an extra buck or two so I can take advantage of the dips and low PPS of CGFI. That is tough to do this time of the year. Santa needs to have some budget too! (Maybe I can ask the jolly fat man for a "stock allowance" for Christmas?)
Ok, can anyone pick a lock? We need some grog!!
That's the best advice I have seen in weeks, LJ!
I guess I need to start doling out the grog again to keep the scuttlebutt within reasonable limits.
Now where did I leave the key to the grog locker????? Oh yes, I think I gave it to AK. Dang it I hope he didn't take it with him on his cross country trip!!! The crew is starting to look ugly!!

I have the vest!! I borrowed it because can't swim too well, and I almost had to go into the ravaged NJ shore to find some family! (Just got to talk to one Friday. No electricity, no working cell towers, no gas for the car and cold weather.) Finally glad to hear everyone in my family made it through the storm! I was really getting worried. 4+ days without word had me pretty worried.
Hope all of you in the effected areas are safe too.
I'm going to hold on to the life vest just in case a monsoon hits the armada.
Just in case wherever you all are, if you didn't hear the news, the NYSE is shut down for the day on Monday due to Hurricane Sandy.
Everyone on the east coast, particularly in the NJ/NY/New England area, take care and stay safe. This is a whopper of a storm. (I lived right on the Jersey Shore 1 block from the water for the first 37 years of my life, and experienced many hurricanes, but none as big as SANDY!) Be ready for several days of BAD weather, even if you are miles from the coast, take care and be ready.
We will keep an eye on the mine while you all watch out for your selves and families!
Be safe, please!
Yup, TP, I saw that same info. I believe it and that is why my friend and I wanted to buy coins or bars. We were just at a loss as to who we could trust, and who we could get a square deal from.
We both believe silver has a better future % of increase ahead than gold. (Plus it can be bought in smaller denominations in case we need to use it as barter if/when the $ goes down the tubes, as so many predict.)
I already have silver in Ishare, but wanted to get my next purchases in actual physical silver. Coins seem to be the way to start the purchase since the purity is easier to verify, and the melt down value is easy to check. (And that is what I'm looking to pay, not the "collector's" price. I can buy lower valued / poorer quality coins since I'm only interested in the silver content.)
Thanks for the info TP. It is much appreciated.
MT.
Can anyone recommend a coin or bullion dealer for the purchase of silver (and possibly gold)?
I good friend has asked for this information and I don't know who would be a good, reputable dealer to recommend.
I may be looking to buy some physical silver in the near future also.
TIA,
MT
I am thinking the same thing, 1forall, but since we have no way to prove or verify what Guyer has in mind, it just becomes conjecture. We will find out when he starts optioning or buying up leases.
In the mean time, I believe it would be inadvisable for Guyer to mention any plans for lease expansions. It could easily cost CGFI extra if that information gets around. Same thing with assay results. Knowledge is power, and that translates to better deals for CGFI, IF leases are included in the plan to increase shareholder value. (But right now that is a bigger IF than I can fit on this post!)
I personally can't wait to see what the next quarterly report has to say.
GLTA $CGFI shareholders.
I'm "in the same boat" as you and many others, KZ. I am totally confused by the large increase in the A/S, but I still see fundamental value and profitability in CGFI.
The lack of communication makes it difficult to discern the reasoning in Guyer's management plan. If the increase in the A/S goes unused (mostly) and is only a reserve, OR if it is used to ready the mill for production, then I will feel much better about it being 1 billion.
I too am in way too deep to sell. (I have over $6000 invested with ~$1.50 being my break even point. I consider myself lucky that my B/E price is so low.) I certainly don't need the tax write off; I'm not making enough for it to be of value to me this year! So I am "all in" till CGFI makes it or goes bust.
Just a quick note to those who have been asking where I have been lately. As you can see I am still alive, I have been nursing a bad back/discs for the last 6 weeks. That "little" pain in the neck and a$$, along with the sudden and tragic deaths of not 1, but 2 very close friends in two separate incidents has had me distracted. (It is difficult to think about comparative trivia, like investing, when you get hit with bad news about close friends, as I'm sure many of you all know.)
So thanks for your inquiries of concern.
I'm still here to pass out the grog till we all pass out!!
So who do we see about that? I'm still looking for the guy. If I find him, I'm going to get him drunk as a skunk and have him fix a few "mistakes"!
I'll help the viewing count.
I had to come over here to see what is making this stock rise so much.
I never would have guessed that this stock would rise so much.
Can I get a mulligan on the buy?
But AK is picking on me!!
Columbus Day is not a NYSE holiday, so I would say it is counted.
Here is a list of holidays:

One day closer, Anthony!!

It is important, 1forall. Knowing if there is the potential for shares to "pop up" on the market at any given time can alter the strategy we investors have. A lot depends on the number of shares they(the financiers) can dump on the market. A few is no biggie, but a boatload can halt a run like a firehouse on a match.
You are a smart guy, 1! Knowledge is power, and it can be a game changer here.
Have a good weekend. Lets hope to see some more progress next week.

1, I think we will need to wait until the next quarterly report to be certain about the convertible debt status.
There was so much CD for so long that it became difficult to keep track of the status, although 567 tried very hard to count it.
By the collective group tracking, a major portion should have been retired by this point. But there probably is a little bit still floating around out there.
The short answer to your question is one big "we don't know for sure", at least not yet. But keep searching, we may just find an answer soon.
$CGFID
So where do we find a volunteer to abstain from sampling while the testing is underway?
Seems a shame, but if science requires it, someone need be left out of the "testing"! (But possibly they can be the "designated driver / observer" and aspirin carrier!
Does that qualify to meet the "rigorous testing" required by the Mine Safety Review Board, or do we need to take it to further extremes?
I'll take that under advisement! Of course I will need to do extensive & comprehensive testing before I can approve anything for the crew to consume!
Will do, Anthony! I think a couple of kegs will be necessary! (And with your projected target of 10K shares, you won't have to work for a long time!!)
I like the name "Gold & Silver Grog"!
Goes in silver, comes out golden!
Thanks Modrica! That gives me a little time to load up the boat.
And thanks for the link.
So many potential opportunities, so little money!
Don't know, Sem1. I just thought I would report the AMNP information since I asked everyone for it.
Holy Crap Cheeky, that's a lot of bananas!
A small % of that daily average will add a lot of income along with the casino ventures.
Nice diversity. Both ventures are passive forms of income. Elray collects no matter what the customer does.
All we need is a little "Congressional Cooperation"!
$ELRA
No problem! I'll collect the info, you all can interpret what the heck it means.
There will be some objections to any sort of online betting, but if they tie the proceeds to some altruistic use as they did with state lotteries,(advancement of education in most states) this should sail through. Particularly since there is such a deficit in the budget, both state and national budgets.
I think it is time to load up now, since the price is low, the risk is worth the upside potential!
FYI, I have noticed many of the Nevada casinos have been offering sports book apps for smart phone betting. I believe it is limited to in state betting only, but it is a step in the right direction for the advancement of on line betting.
Hopefully poker, nationwide, will be available soon!
Good Luck to All!

I'm going to work on some more detailed questions for this next survey. I think we could use a little more information to share among ourselves.
It will still be anonymously collected and only cumulative numbers will be reported.
FYI, less than 5% of the respondents had any stock in both AMNP &CGFIA. That was out of approximately 165 to 170 individuals.
I will try to design this next survey so anyone can return multiple times and adjust the information they entered. (In case you buy or sell some shares.)
I will post a link in about a week to the CGFI "Armada Survey 2.0"!
Welcome Hans! (John by English translation, no?)
Any friend of Luc is a friend of ours!
Good Luck and happy investing!
Lets all make some extra cash!

As soon as all the conversions are done, I would like to run another survey. Hopefully it will show us all the percentage of the float we collectively still control.
I figure about another week and we should have all the shares converted.
Good Luck to all!

Just wait till the little kayak hits the water. It's going to be like one of those tiny compressed sponges, enough water and "bam!" you have a full sized yacht!
Give it a little time. You haven't lost anything yet, it has just been compressed into a smaller package.
GLTY & the rest of the Armada!
