Johnsyn, These 3D printer applications are used to make components as complex as microelectromechanical systems, better known as MEMS. These printers can use multiple materials in the process of printing 3D components, so why not add a non counterfeiting DNA element at the same time. It appears to me that this printing process could, in the future, play a role in the manufacture of chips and circuit boards. Keck is in the process of sending some circuitry on a space launch to evaluate the effects of outer space on the products. I do not claim that a direct connect to applied DNA can be seen today but then I am a mathematician not an electrical engineer. That kind of connect would be left to Dr. Hayward and his staff.
I have continued to do my DD on APND. I expect to make my decision soon about when to jump in. I am a alumnus of The University of Texas at El Paso, UTEP. I have found some research being done there in the W.M. Keck Center for 3D innovation that seems could be connected to the Applied DNA processes. Check this and see what you think. http://wmkeck.utep.edu/r_amtd.htm
After some time to gather my thoughts regarding deferring the webcast, I have decided we will not receive information about the conference. I also have the opinion that if they do attempt to respond, it can not be trusted. You see, I think they cancelled the webcast because there was no interest in Kenactiv among the conferees. Would you want to spend an hour trying to explain that the room was empty or near empty? JMHO
I too am overly endowed here.
Something needs to happen soon! As you and others know, I was here before the sale of the AMSZ shell. I have seen a lot and am just about at the end of my ability to wait any longer. So much promise and such little results. I just do not know what to think.
Just made the phone call, and know about the same as I did before the call. The management team was there and talked one-on-one but deferred the webcast. Was told that we should hear about the results of the conference soon. All sounds like transparency with Kenactiv is a pipe dream. IMHO
I sent e-mail and waiting about another 15 minutes before calling.
Amen brother!!
Not sure what this means yet, but the Kenactiv presentation at the MicroCap Conference was canceled. At least the Internet live webcast was canceled.

News for 'OPHI' - (Kenactiv Innovations Launches Kenaf Nonwoven Products Designed for Compatibility and Performance With Acrodur® Resins in Natural Fiber Composite Applications)
SCOTTSDALE, AZ, May 02, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Kenactiv Innovations
Inc (OTCQB: OPHI) ("Kenactiv") today announced the launch of a line of nonwoven
mats ("felts") designed in consultation with BASF Corporation, makers of
Acrodur® resins, for compatibility and performance in natural fiber composites
using the VOC-free, water-based acrylics. These products can replace
injection-molded plastics and other materials at significantly reduced weights
and no reduction in strength, and with a significantly improved environmental
profile.
Kenactiv, a leading manufacturer of natural fiber and nonwoven products for
composites and other applications, and BASF began collaborating in early 2012.
The companies agreed to work together to develop a custom natural fiber
substrate product specifically matched to Acrodur® resins and optimized for
existing and emerging manufacturing technologies. Importantly, the Acrodur® and
Kenactiv solutions can present a drop-in solution without the need for high new
capital investment and can be processed using most conventional machinery.
"Increasingly, manufacturers are realizing not just the sustainability benefits
of these state-of -the-art composite solutions, but also the performance value
and process cost reductions they can achieve," said Christopher E. Galvin,
Chairman, President and CEO of Kenactiv. "These products yield composites that
have a significantly higher strength-to-weight ratio than fiberglass, are less
abrasive to machinery, and provide excellent acoustic insulation."
In addition to an extremely favorable environmental profile, kenaf has
particular suitability to these types of applications due to its higher inherent
thermal tolerance, low specific gravity, and unparalleled absorptive capacity
among natural materials. Kenactiv's proprietary treatment for water resistance
enhances the fiber's resin interface, and innovative processing methodologies
yield higher structural integrity and add tensile strength to the mats.
"While Acrodur® can be used with a variety of natural and synthetic substrates,
we found our manufacturing customers were most eager to maximize Acrodur®'s
performance and sustainability value by pairing it with natural fiber
substrates, but wanted a drop-in solution," said Henning Karbstein, in charge of
New Business Development for Acrodur® in North America. "While BASF works with
all partners for this technology, we like to see that Kenactiv's solutions
provide both the compatibility with Acrodur® and supply chain solutions
manufacturers in North America require - including the plan to use soon natural
fibers grown and processed in the region."
Acrodur® is an eco-friendly water-based acrylic resin with excellent bonding
performance, completely formaldehyde-free, and free of potentially hazardous
cross linker chemistry. It produces highly durable results with excellent
chemical resistance and bio-stability. For additional information on natural
fiber composite solutions, visit the websites of Kenactiv and BASF.

News for 'OPHI' - (Kenactiv Innovations Launches New Website)
SCOTTSDALE, AZ, Mar 20, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Kenactiv Innovations
Inc. ("Kenactiv") (OTCQB: OPHI), a leading domestic manufacturer and supplier of
natural fiber products made from kenaf, today announced the launch of their new
website www.kenactiv.com. The new website is consistent with Kenactiv's
emergence as the leading provider of natural fiber products and solutions in the
U.S.
A new website became necessary as Kenactiv's business evolved from a simple
producer of products made from kenaf to an innovator in sustainable
manufacturing solutions. Kenactiv's proprietary treatments, processes,
manufacturing techniques, and logistic solutions have caught the attention of an
increasing number of forward thinking, environmentally focused manufacturers in
a variety of industries that previously struggled to find viable alternatives to
not only make their products better, but also reduce their carbon footprint.
Kenactiv is confident the new website will help manufacturers better understand
the opportunities available to them to not only make their products perform
better, but also reduce their environmental impact very cost-effectively, and
without interruptions in their manufacturing process, by utilizing natural
fibers.
Christopher E. Galvin, Chairman, CEO and President of Kenactiv, stated,
"Visitors to our new site will be surprised at the innovation and value natural
fibers can bring to their products and businesses. Natural fibers are no longer
about looking backward or compromise. Kenactiv is ushering in a new generation
of high performance, highly sustainable materials and solutions that help
businesses and industries thrive through smart, purpose-driven design."
This is only the first part of an email I received today.
News for 'OPHI' - (DrillWall(TM) Drilling Mud Additive Provides 50% Improvement in the Reduction of Drilling Fluid Loss in Independent Lab Testing)
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- DrillWall(TM), a
kenaf-based drilling mud additive from Kenactiv Innovations Inc., (OTCQB: OPHI)
("Kenactiv"), was recently tested in the lab by a major drilling fluids company
and found to provide up to a 50% reduction in fluid loss, as compared to current
mud additives, in sand pack tests using a water-based system. The Scottsdale, AZ
manufacturer of DrillWall(TM) developed the all-natural solution in response to
the costly operational expenses, equipment inefficiencies, and increased risk
drillers face when drilling fluids seep into surrounding geologic formations.
(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20130125/NY48332LOGO)
Super-absorbent DrillWall(TM)'s superior performance is attributable to its
ability to create a non-permeable filter barrier (filter cake) more quickly than
other mud components, thereby reducing fluid loss and keeping significantly more
fluid within the borehole. DrillWall(TM) is produced from U.S. farm-grown kenaf,
a rapidly renewable agricultural resource, and manufactured in the U.S.A.
Kenactiv's unique processing methodology enhances DrillWall(TM)'s ability to
help lubricate and cool the drill bit and prevent differential sticking. In
addition to improving operational efficiencies, all natural, nontoxic
DrillWall(TM) also helps lower the environmental impact of drilling processes.
There is a company, Kenaf Industries of South Texas, that may give some insight into Kenaf growing and processing. The company is in Raymondville, Texas about 520 miles south of of me in the Dallas Metroplex. I have listed two web sites you may want to check. The first shows farm subsidies the company has received 1995 - 2011.
The second is just interesting own its own.

Does anyone have the ability to do some local investigation about Biotech Mills, Inc. 3628 Hwy 91 Snow Hill, NC. It has been suggested to me that we need to learn more about this company. It became Kenactiv. It has been reported that they warehouse a large amount of product with very little sales. I have no ability to go to NC to see for myself, but if someone could do a local investigation and give us a post about this it would be great. I will continue so do my checking on the internet.
As many know, I have been here since the AMSZ days. So I have been one of the 'holding long' shareholders. I have read the posts of CSJ, Imiloa and Ancient for a long time. [ by the way for the uninformed 'Imi Loa' is Hawai'ian for 'holding long'] I truly believe IMHO that they all three have a grasp of all that has happened over the past MANY months we have spent together. I respect their insight a great deal. I do realize that one of our posters, that about a month ago was on a soap box preaching nothing but gloom and doom, seems to have done a 180, but has a problem with Imiloa. I personally have never found Imiloa to be WRONG about anything we have discussed regarding AMSZ, OPHI or our current situation. Let's sit back and cool our jets and wait for things to work themselves out. "Just My Honest Opinion" RandyK
That is exactly the part that grabbed my attention. I just do not want to get into a situation where another guy knows all the right things to say to keep me hanging on. IMO I think Billy and Alan had all the best intentions in the world of creating a successful company. They were just in over their heads and needed better advise. I just want to find all the information possible about other companies where Mr. Galvin has served as the leader.
RandyK
Just trying to get a jump on any info about Kenactiv's leadership. Christopher E Galvin is listed as Chairman and CEO. I also find a Christopher E Galvin listed as former Chairman and CEO of Capital Group Holdings also of Scottsdale, AZ. I am just interested in any insight into past performance. Also stated about the Christopher E Galvin associated with Capitol Holdings Group is the following:
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Galvin was Chairman/CEO of COA Holdings, Inc. As its Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Galvin effectuated the acquisition/merger of five additional companies which created an industry leader in the Acquiring, Issuing, ACH and Mobile market place. Mr. Galvin served as Chairman/CEO of Capital Resource Network, Inc., a Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions and Investment Banking consulting firm which has been responsible for the structure, facilitation and completion of reverse mergers of private companies into public entities. Mr. Galvin also served as Chairman/CEO of Global -1Tel, a highly sophisticated and specialized Telecommunications Company. Global- 1Tel was one of the first reliable entrants in the personal assistant voice services and data management space.
If these are one and the same Mr. Galvins, he has an interesting background. Any additional info would be appreciated.
RandyK
I totally agree Tassle!!
Have any of you gone to Kenactiv.com and read the bio info about the Management staff and the Board of Directors. If so, does anyone have opinions regarding any of these people? I have started to search out anything I can find but will reserve remarks until I can gather more information about them.

V6, I am old enough. This is not my first rodeo or my first investment as I stated before. I also do not recall saying that I have a LITTLE investment in OPHI. I have been here since the AMSZ days and have seen RSs on more than one occasion. The operative word in your statement is 'usually wipes all existing stockholders out.' But you see that means sometimes the stockholders do survive. Maybe you think my statement is ridiculousness but IMO it could not be truer. It also seems some of the other members of the board think my remarks have merit. I very seldom post on the board and do not get to stay current. If I fail to respond I hope you understand.
Just remember DUE DILIGENCE and CAVATE EMPTOR! These are the responsibility of the investor. I am almost 68 years old and have been in this game of playing PINKS longer than most of you. I you have money invested that you can not afford to lose, then shame on you!! If you have no faith in the future of OPHI, IMO just put your big boy pants on, sell for what you can get, and go on to somethig else and leave the rest of us the hell alone! The following statement always appears in PRs and you should take it searously.

I can say for a fact that I picked up a few thousand more shares today. Just like CSJ I feel IMHO that our day will come. If others think differently it is their prerogative.
There are many here that have been around since the days of AMSZ. In fact I was in AMSZ before I found this board. I have not sold a share but have added shares on a few occasions. This is a 'hold' and not a flip. OPHI is a stock to hold for the future IMO.
I believe that imiloa is correct in that assessment. That is precisely why I dropped out of this discussion. You can not convince anyone that has already made up their mind.
