The prospectus I am waiting to receive from Maxim is the one with the blanks filled. I understood I would see that after the up list.
Sharkey, I am not a HIGH ROLLER by any means. They will get to you, they are contacting all current share holders. Shale explained the S1 info the same way I understood it as well. The purchase would be shares and warrants. I should be receiving a prospectus and will share all that they will allow at that time. If Shale hears first I feel sure he will post as well.
Talked to Victor Vega at Maxim today. He says the up list is to NASDAQ and will happen in the next two weeks. They will be offering the secondary shares to individuals (5 - 10 thousand dollars minimum) as well as institutional offerings. He first asked if I would be interested for 100 thousand dollar investment. I said I would have to see the institutional investors interested and see a serious improvement in APDNS profits before considering a large investment. Then he offered the 5 - 10 thousand level.
Well about five days ago I asked where the P/S whackers had gone. There back !!!
What the hell happened to the investor that sells 300 or 400 shares at closing to drive the P/S down?
Mark, Spin is spin IMO and this could be a 'She said He said'. The truth is most likely some where in the middle. RandyK
YES! So dilution is dilution. We have to see some improvements in income and expenses to offset this, even with the new money.
1mil, Would it not be the same for Maxim as it is for us that the number of shares preRS or postRS would still equal the invested dollars? So that any dilution would be the same result no matter if pre or post?
Well, holding almost 4x the shares will still not look so large after a 1:60 RS. But at the same time maybe the sting won't be as bad.
As I have stated before, I am holding long in APDN. I best be, because I am increasing my hold by almost 300% today if all goes through. I am hoping today's filing will spur us on. GLTA
The dilution is exactly what I thought also. We need more informed info. I sure do not claim to know exactly what is happening.
Maybe I was not clear enough, APDN filed an SEC form S-1 regarding an investment of about $12M pending from The Maxim Group LLC. The news is available on iHub.
Well MrBig, Sharkey and all, what should we garner from the S-1 and the Maxim Group? It does not seem to be having any effects on pps.
Pasta, I show respect to those that deserve it. This person as I understand, has no skin in this game. Make a personal investment and I can and will listen to what you have to say. Sit in the darkness and disparage those who have invested and the managers of APDNA and I call that a TROLL. Sorry.
Pasta, Please don't feed the troll!!!!
Wishful, That article is what spurred me to contact the W M Keck Center for 3D innovation at my alma mater UT El Paso. I gave both Keck and APDNA a means to communicate regarding the possibility of using DNA in 3D printing. I did not ask to be informed of any outcome. I figured that would be out of bounds for an APDN stock holder. But I do hope something came of my efforts. RandyK
And 'That's a fact Jack!'.
Well folks, I am still here, still holding long. I just found it necessary to step away for a while. The board was sort of becoming a three ring circus. Some of the rings were entertaining and informative, but some rings were just a pure annoyance. I read the news posted today re: 8k. This confirmed what I new it would and we can surely live with this. Things look good for the long term IMHO. Going into many new areas which can only be a good thing. I may not post often but know that I am here and supporting the good effort. RandyK
AMEN Brother!! The financials are the ONLY thing that scares me in this RS and UPLIST situation.
Thank you McS and kbar, I just want us to have every chance to reach profitability and success. GLTA
McS and All,
I had a discussion just now with David at the W.M. Keck Center for 3D innovations. I gave him Judy Murrah,s number as a contact at Applied DNA. We discussed some of the applications being used and he was very interested to find if the DNA authentication could be incorporated in Plastic and Metal 3D additive manufacturing. I stirred the pot. Now we just wait to see if anything happens.
RandyK
McS,
I made contact with W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation at UTEP. Below is part of a response I received from them. I called Debbie and she gave me the number of Judy Murrah to be the contact at Applied DNA. I will give David this number today.
Randy,
Thanks for your email regarding counterfeits and AM. I've seen some research groups present work on this subject. I do have interest in protecting against counterfeiting and would like to discuss further. Within our group, we have capabilities to develop custom thermoplastics and composite materials that could be beneficial to protecting against counterfeiting.
This could or could not amount to something. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
McS, I received a positive response from El Paso re: counterfeiting and Additive Manufacturing. I plan to have a telephone conversation about Applied DNA Sciences on Monday. Any suggestion who I should suggest they contact in Stony Brook? RandyK
sharkey, I sent an email to the WM Keck Center, but have not received a reply as of yet.
As an alum of UTEP (BS 1971) I always have an interest in activities at the university. I first became aware of the WM Keck Center from the article I read in the UTEP Magazine. I have a stock interest in a company (Applied DNA Sciences Inc.) that develops forensic DNA marking solutions to combat counterfeiting in manufacturing in many different areas. Has the Keck Center tried to incorporate any anti-counterfeiting into additive manufacturing? Applied DNA is already connected to the Department of Defense in marking items in the US DoD supply chain to combat counterfeit electronics. I feel that the unlimited growth in additive manufacturing area that there could be a potential connection here to prevent counterfeit printing of 3D items. I must say this connection idea is mine alone and Applied DNA has not approved me asking these questions of you. Just some food for thought from an interested bystander, in a company and a university I have an interest in seeing grow. I leave it to you to connect any dots or make any contact to see if collaboration is warranted.
Randy K********
Just trying to stir the pot so to speak. We'll see
Thanks Shail
If the financials are such that individual investor's due diligence does not convince them to raise the PPS above 0.12 now, why will those same financials convince institutional investors to get excited at $4.80/share? I know that the outstanding share reduction is a plus, but dilution has not bothered them in the past, so is the tiger changing his stripes?
I have lost on stocks before so I guess I will let it ride. The product deserves the ride, but I am just not as sure about the management mindset. Revenue and expense imbalance will kill them no matter the PPS, OS, or intentions.
I have been here for years so why walkout before the movie ends!
TCMB, You say a 40:1 RS with a 2x = an 80 bagger today?
1000 shares today @.12 = $120
after 40:1 25 shares @ 4.80 = $120
The 2x of the RS would = $240
an 80 bagger today = $9600
Am I right or not?
These are no more the same than a grape and a watermelon.
GOOD NEWS - McS $6/share is around the corner. BAD NEWS - We will have 1/50th as many shares.
I do not know how the conference went on June 24th, but wishful posted this this morning that shows a connection between APDN and Underwriters.

Cut and paste to get to it. When I have time I will research it some more.
Sharky, The Textile marking is important, but the UL Brand Protection is of more interest to me. A lot of items that carry the UL brand are counterfeit, but some items are just no truly UL certified. Can you imagine if every item that UL certifies had to carry a UL brand that is DNA traceable? That would be a LARGE number.
nasdaq shows no form 3 or 4 filings in the last 12 months.

Would the good Dr. H not have to report his stock sales to avoid the appearance of insider trading. Is this not an SEC requirement?
I've been away for a while and am glad to see some interest in 3D printing showing up. Also, as for using gambling winnings for investment, I prefer to use my casino winnings to purchase new bowling equipment. Recently purchased two new balls to use in the US Open Championships in Reno in three weeks. My chances of bring home money there is greater than with my APDN investment.
Resurrection is true only for the 'chosen one.' Has APDN proven to be the 'chosen one', that is the question.
Did that possible Golden Cross turn into a wooden cross of crucifiction?
Maybe Applied DNA Sciences needs to investigate the W M Keck Center.
You can see videos of their work at http://keck.utep.edu/videos.html
As I posted before, my alma mater Univ. of Texas El Paso, is deeply involved in 3D printing advances. How could these markers - and related additives - for polyolefin products be used in the 3D printing area? I need to investigate deeper, this is one FAST growing sector.
As I once heard a man say
1mil, those numbers would be EOD on Friday wouldn't they? So today can move it higher, or bring the 50 back to the 200 or lower, right? So the cross will still be there regardless of today.
