Looks like Medtronic, Intuitive Surgical and now Johnson and Johnson are now interested in Titan's IP. New deal with Auris Health aka Johnson and Johnson to license IP for an undisclosed amount.
I will answer my question. You need 3 independent board members to vote on things like reverse mergers or buyouts.
Why would you higher another board member if you were about to be acquired? More insanity.
Sell at 25 cents? Who would be silly enough to sell at 25 cents before a big rise? Wait a minute. I know who did that. Good memories. Thanks for the reminder. Go Titan!!!
Craziest stock I have ever owned. Vance disappears. Hardly hear form Cataford. Hiding robots. Piling up patents. Shut down Chapel Hill. Contracts with Medtronic and Intuitive. Enough money to last until into 2024. Cambridge says recent video was a functional product. Medtronic ramping up. You would think if they were going bankrupt they would have done this already. How long has it been since the JP Morgan conference? Strange times. Engineers furloughed and they are not talking. Nobody is talking. Definitely interesting times.
Sure is an awfully quiet site here when bashers have nothing to respond to. Go Titan. We continue to wait.
Medtronic and ISRG actually like some of the design elements of ENOS and paid some money for this IP. Whomever buys Titan gets it all. Bottom line is nobody wanted to buy Intuitive that has a $112 billion market cap currently. Intuitive now has a monopoly. If Intuitive buys Titan they increase their strength. You do not have to say but what about Perry. But nobody wants to buy them. But But But. 55 companies did not want to buy Titan at their selling price. You don`t think someone got excited over the possibility of ENOS 3? Even I have information that companies did approach Titan. Surely you are aware of this fact. If you weren`t aware before you are now. Companies have approached Titan. It is just a matter of time that someone buys them. We continue to wait. It may not be for the price we thought but it will happen.
You are dodging the question and the comment. Name the $112 billion market robotic company that NOBODY wanted to buy? Take your time. Second question. Name the $112 billion robotic company that just signed a license agreement with Titan? Again, take your time.
Imagine Endoquest coming to market and gaining market share with Perry Genova helping them. Endoquest takes market share and someone says I guess we should have bought ALL the patents from Titan. There was a company nobody wanted to buy. NOBODY. Care to take a guess on who that company was? I think you know. It was Intuitive Surgical. So the entire worldwide medical industry got it wrong. Nobody believed in robotic surgery. Every company had an opportunity to buy Intuitive and passed. EVERY COMPANY. A 112 billion dollar mistake. And now Intuitive is interested in some of our technology and has the opportunity to buy Titan.
Medtronic will spend $10 million to license IP but will not spend $200 million to buy the whole company and own all of the patents to block out any competition? You comment is hilarious.
Pull the trigger on what? Someone can buy the robots and all of the rights for all of the patents. Even if they paid $200 million for the entire company in addition to the tax loss, they get a pretty good deal. Medtronic can buy it for a cheap $200 million and nobody else can touch the patents and nobody else can license the IP. ISRG is worth 112 billion. What is $200 million to them? We all move on. Easy peasy.
Cannot imagine the company is worthless with this many patents. Will somebody step up to the plate and pull the trigger? Who knows.
REVERSE MERGER MONDAY?
Cataford must have told large shareholders something in order for them to vote in favor of retaining the board.
REVERSE MERGER MONDAY?
Think about it. Titan SOLD the IP previously licensed to Medtronic. SOLD. Why would you do that if Medtronic was going to buy you out? You would not. Why would you license IP to Medtronic`s competitor if you were being bought out by Medtronic? Just to piss them off? I can see you licensing more IP to other companies in order to pressure Medtronic but it makes zero sense to sell the IP to Medtronic and then try to pressure Medtronic over buyout price. No bargaining power. I believe we will be sold shortly but far less than what we had been imagining. Hope I am wrong.
As a long I am dumbfounded by Titan`s press release that they are going to remain a licensing company. We obviously have longs who want Titan to succeed and those that disagree. What possible purpose would there be to make this announcement at this particular point in time? Seems a little insane to me. Seems a buyout is coming at a significantly lower price than what us longs expected. Perhaps I am missing something. Does anyone else have a logical explanation as to this announcement at this particular point in time? And if you were going to announce this bad news, why not announce months ago that the robots were never completed or received if indeed that was the case? Appears as though they are promoting bad news and delaying good news or releasing good news on Friday before long weekends. Again, their behavior seems a little crazy. I think we are near the end whether it be good or bad news.
Always nice to state half of the story. Convenient. We all know what is really happening. Awaiting FDA approval of HUGO. Titan piggybacks IP from FDA approval to ENOS. Robots done. No need for engineers. More receivables coming to Medtronic. Received more money from Medtronic and ISRG. We continue to wait. Medtronic will reveal their ecosystem shortly. Ignore the truth.
Hopefully, hospitals will allow surgeries to be done in the lobby. Because that is the size of operating room that will be needed to use this system. Have the engineers building these systems ACTUALLY been in an ambulatory surgery center or older hospitals and seen the size of the closets we call operating rooms. Go ENOS. Smaller footprint. Mobile. Less costly.
I will gladly take a dollar.
No, They doors are not being shut down. They be staying open. They be real smart and gonna keep goin. HUGO announcement first then piggyback ENOS with the same IP. They be really intelligent.
Titan had the opportunity to do a raise after the stupid tuck in comment and did not. They now have around $9 million in cash. They do not have enough to get through IDE studies. Debts paid. Robots probably done and in hiding. Submitted IDE application in all likelihood. Skeleton staff but first quarter books are now clean. So they could have raised money to get through IDE studies and did not. Who is going to help them get through studies? Or do they close the doors with a completed robot and an ENOS 3 prototype and own over 200 patents?/b]
Apparently, today we will learn whether there was any raise during the first quarter when the tuck in comment was mentioned and the pps spiked. We will see.
Everything on this site is conjecture. Seriously? Nobody knows the truth. Posters praying for a Titan failure. Others praying for a buyout. Nobody knows. Titan just received $15.5 million and we believe the robots are done. Good news of the infusion of cash is followed by claims of Titan owing vendors. No documentation to prove it. Just conjecture. We are all hoping for our specific end game here. Who knows who will be right.
Titan sold the patents to Medtronic that Medtronic needs as proof to the FDA that they own the patents which were a part of the FDA submission for HUGO which will be FDA approved shortly. These patents that been now leased to Titan as the same technology will be in ENOS. The technology is being piggybacked from Medtronic to Titan. The leased patents have an expiry date to get ENOS through FDA. Medtronic should buy them out on HUGO FDA approval or after ENOS FDA approval. The robots will be unveiled after the buyout. The other patents Medtronic did not need were leased to ISRG. Keeps Titan going and helps to fund them through IDE studies. Not my idea. I cannot take credit. A pretty smart guy connected the dots.
I guess ISRG were nice as well. Licensing IP they do not own. They also knew TMDI owed money so it was nice gesture. Seems like there are a lot of nice companies just being really sweet and helping Titan by giving them money. Cool story bro.
Interesting perspective and article even though it is a little old. Thank you Frankenstin. David and Goliath for sure regarding Titan and Intuitive. Over 200 patents up for the taking. Will MDT pull the trigger or will Intuitive buy the future and set MDT back another 20 years. Some important dates coming up for MDT. Will MDT finally get off the pot and pull the trigger? Will HUGO FDA be approved and will MDT announce ENOS as well? We will see.
Sorry to hear you are underwater and have over 100,000 shares. A lot of us are underwater. Hopefully things will turn around for us with Titan. Titan`s behavior is quite strange lately. Soon we can all move on from it I tend to search for information that will determine if there is good news coming.
Why would staff in the first quarter be willing to accept worthless shares in a company that is supposedly going bankrupt in exchange for reduced compensation? Why would Titan accept an UPFRONT payment if there was not something else to follow?
I think the fat lady just sang. I hope I am wrong..
[bThis was for leverage. $7.5M doesn't get TMDIF too far down the road. This was pure stupidity by MDT and an offer ISRG couldn't pass up.
The question is "do the patents ISRG just licensed make a functional ENOS?" IDK. Could be a quick deal for what patents were available to ensure ISRG can be a partner with TMDIF in the future. And from TMDI's perspective - to get Martha's attention. This is the 2nd separate event to get Martha's attention. The PR of the 3-Arm ENOS and now a license agreement with the 800# gorilla. $7.5M for what ISRG got is a fire sale, and peanuts to ISRG. I'm thinking ISRG did this before MDT could do a deal, and make it VERY painful for MDT to finish an acquisition. Otherwise, why do it if the original license deal with MDT creates a problem to build the ENOS II? Now which ever company decides they "need/want" ENOS will have to buy up big. ISRG can own everything licensed to MDT if they buy TMDIF.
Either way, I see the share price going higher. Don't know when or by how much.
There's got to be a lot more than just a $7.5M license agreement. MDT better hope and pray this agreement doesn't have any payment for future development terms and conditions with it. If MDT was thinking of making a low-ball offer, or did - they really screwed up to take ENOS off the market. If HUGO is only moderately competitive, even with upgraded arms, end effectors and controllers vs DaVinci, then MDT just let ISRG control the pace and rules of the future development of SP RS, and I think it will cost them an extra $2B-3B. IMO. This BO is for the future of SP RAS for then next 20-30 years.
The value of a BO is to buy the future and not let time dictate when you launch a new product. I think the deciding factor will be whether MDT can make HUGO compete with DaVinci, or if ISRG feels a 3-arm ENOS is better than what they have as a SP and the next version of their SP. In my mind ENOS is more valuable to ISRG, b/c is they can develop ENOS III and really hurt MDT in the process. MDT builds their version of ENOS - ISRG says so what? This is billionaire chess. It's not the next move or 2, it's the next 3 or 4. MDT has to buy TMDIF for ENOS for the near-future and ENOS II and the rest of the patents or lose.
Who ever buys TMDIF gets ENOS and the3rd arm version, and they win the next 25 years of SP RAS. What ever terms may be contained in the ISRG license agreement are going to be very interesting. JMO.
Good Luck to All.
Regards, BK]
This post on Investor Village is worth sharing. Who knows what is going to happen but you now have MDT and ISRG have interest. Going to be an interesting month.
Titans intent is to sell the company. They want the acquiring company to unveil and promote the robot. Give all of the credit to the acquiring company. Cambridge obviously is proud of their efforts. A three armed robot is an incredible achievement. The question is whether Medtronic knew about this three armed robot or not. If they did not, it was a brilliant idea and collaboration. What if Medtronic knew about ENOS 3? Perhaps they did. Was part of the agreement Titan helping Medtronic get HUGO get through FDA? We will soon know. The curious dynamic to me is seeing Cambridge displaying the robot while Titan remains quiet. Perhaps that is part of the agreement as well. Titan is not to promote the completed robot. They forgot to tell Cambridge not to. Time will tell. We are close to the end either way. I do not believe for one second that Medtronic will only sell HUGO, take some of the IP and leave the rest of the patents for some competitor to buy. Makes zero sense.
Thanks for all the posts Frankenstin. I certainly appreciate all of the updates on all of the patents. Even if we are not bought I am okay. Redacted agreement. Well over 250 patents. Completed and hidden robots. CEO working part time. Layoff the engineers. Cambridge saying the product is complete. Still have an engineer and HR person on staff. They have the proper amount of board members to vote for a buyout. No updates as to whether there are any interest parties. Nobody wants our IP? A surprise three armed ENOS. The behavior of this company makes no sense.
Interesting post on Stocktwits from William Rusty Towery who works at Precision Expedited in California. Seems Titan is not responding to their posts as they are owed money. So if you were about to get bought out, don`t you think you would have paid your bills? Does not give me a rosy feeling inside. Hard to know the truth. Read they still have an HR person on staff and an engineer instrumental in writing the script for IDE submission. Definitely a lot of conflicting information out there. Upcoming meeting should reveal something good or bad.
Well. I wish Cary Vance all the best at PHOTONICARE. New CEO. Even got a sign on bonus. Kept his voting rights. Blocked everyone on LinkedIn. Either a buyout or bankruptcy though we have no debt. It is coming to the end.
Interesting. Cambridge CEO just admitted three armed ENOS robot on LinkedIn is an actual completed product. Not a computer generated video.
The patents and the value just keeps on climbing.
Agreed. We will be bought out by Meftronic for significntly less money than expected. Luckily I have averaged down so I will at least break even or even make a little profit and move on.
Wow. Blown away to be frank. You shorts were right. Congratulations to the shorts. A good day for you.
Buyout price just went up. Thanks for posting. $3.1 billion now.
