This Is Awesome For KBLB!!
GO KBLB.
Some great posts lately, especially the Vietnam info.
People sitting on the sidelines with KBLB ihub don't be afraid to post your thoughts. The bigger the conversation the better. Any new info is much appreciated.
[Long Post Alert]
I personally like this company, have followed it for quite some time and appreciate the sharing of information related to it.
For any people new to KBLB let me just set an extremely quick and overly simplified synopses of what KBLB has done and where they are. I hope that you have looked at the ibox above to get more details about this company and I ask that you pay a lot of attention to the names that have involved themselves with KBLB as opposed to the anonymous people (myself included) who post on message boards.
KBLB set a goal some thought unreachable and impossible. It's goal was to use spider DNA, put it in a silkworm and hopefully have the silkworm spin spider silk. The idea, not so new, but their method and outcome is what set KBLB apart from anyone who's tried before. It broke new ground in it's initial achievement, passed scientific review and was published in PNAS. It's next evolution was bringing in Sigma Alrich's Zinc Fingers (a powerful DNA modifying tool) to enhance their process beyond bounds and allow them to customize with more certainty the silk they create. Mind you, Sigma Aldrich verified KBLB's labs competency before allowing the use of it's Zinc Fingers and in it's approval granted KBLB a License Agreement to use said tool. KBLB has expanded into a new lab and has also created and announced a second product (BIG RED) all this as it's been working on, verifying and testing the initial products (Monster Silk) commercial roll out.
International Patents and Trademarks are in process and verifiable. KBLB has the rights to market these new revolutionary fibers/textiles through License Agreements with the University of Notre Dame and the University of Wyoming.
This has not been a quick process and in it's time of executing it's business plan KBLBs share price has been as low as a penny and as high as 26 cents. Many have shown here with comparisons that KBLB has diluted minimally, but it has diluted none the less in order to keep funding its research and development as needed causing the SP to fluctuate significantly. As KBLB reaches a milestone and finally capitalizes on it's investments in R&D it will hopefully be able to no longer need to dilute to finance itself and with that the share price should see a significant move. Right now there is no way to know exactly the price of KBLBs products, but that aside the wide range of markets it's products cover is huge. On it's own, the vast array of markets for KBLBs revolutionary fiber(s) are enough to make KBLB an extremely successful and profitable enterprise, that X factor though for KBLB is what the premium will be for this new line of fibers and textiles. The cost of this new material is definitely hard to peg not to mention the price/premium to customize the properties of a product for a specific customers uses. With the success of KBLB, Sigma Aldrich, The University of Notre Dame and The University of Wyoming stand to make a significant amount of money. The ability to have a fully scalable commercial means of producing a silk with the properties of spider silk is definitely a phase shift for the world, its amazing to think it all started with an idea from Kim Thompson(CEO KBLB) and Dr. Malcom Fraser(Notre Dame) that was thought impossible.
How soon can/will KBLB capitalize on it's R&D?
Here's KBLB's latest PR:
Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Launches Commercial Production of Monster Silk(TM)
The Company Plans on Producing Metric Tons of Recombinant Spider Silk in 2014
LANSING, Mich., Oct 07, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE via COMTEX) — Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. (OTCQB:KBLB) (“Company”), the leading developer of advanced spider silk based fibers, today announced the launching of the Company’s commercial production program with the recent hatching of its first batch of Monster Silk(TM) silkworms for commercial production.
Furthermore, the Company is currently expending resources to augment the scale of its Monster Silkworm(TM) production over the next 30 to 90 days. This move coincides with the Company’s planned strategy to rapidly increase its production capacity. The Company’s strategy is to commit the vast majority of its initial production capacity to a propagation program designed to increase its production population. A smaller portion of the first commercial production generation should also yield fibers which can be dedicated to the production of woven textile samples.
“Our launch of our commercial scale production of Monster Silk(TM) is a long awaited major milestone for Kraig, as we demonstrate our ability to convert recombinant spider silk, and Monster Silk(TM) most specifically, from an exciting laboratory technology to a marketable product,” said, CEO and founder, Kim K. Thompson. “We believe that rolling out the world’s first recombinant spider silk commercial production project will only expand our global development prospects, for Monster Silk(TM) and other high technology fibers.”
“It has taken many years to go from my initial concept of recombinant spider silk to the laboratory production of Monster Silk(TM) and now the actual launch and scaling up of the commercial scale production. I want to thank our investors and, most particularly, the research scientists, whose work and dedication has made this long anticipated day possible.”
“Given the current planned production schedule, we could theoretically be producing Monster Silk(TM) in metric ton quantities by early January. A more conservative estimate, given the realities of launching such a ground breaking and commercially unique project, would be to reach that major milestone in mid 2014. This move reaffirms our view that Kraig is the world’s leading developer of recombinant spider silk technologies,” concluded Thompson.
GO KBLB.
I noticed that the website is getting updated faster with the latest news, definitely like that. Also glad to see that KBLB has the email notifications up and running for important PRs. The next trademark deadline is early November and the International Patent is moving along. Everything is lining up for this company. Happy to get some .049's today!!
GO KBLB!
Great news today!!
The Company keeps moving towards its goal! If people can find something bad about a developmental company(that works with Notre Dame and other Univs. and Sigma Aldrich) that's about to produce tons of a salable product let them, they have no reasonable argument, so why bother trying to change their minds.
Can't wait till they announce who is buying!!
GO KBLB.
Updated Ibox.
Thanks for playing.
GO KBLB
Yeah I guess Notre Dame and KBLB aren't working together?
And for those who do DD,
KBLB only has the rights to commercialize the product. The product itself is co-owned by the Universities and Licensed to KBLB.

Who's involved with KBLB?!:
University of Notre Dame, Univ of Wyoming, Sigma Aldrich, and an LOI with SMS Industries (and leading scientists in their fields at those Universities) Dr Malcom Fraser, Randy Lews, Don Jarvis..etc. Look em up If your new to KBLB. Check Ibox above.
So far with KBLB:
International patent moving forward, trademarks in the final stages, Big Red is in the pipeline, and Monster Silk is being prototyped by soon to be paying customers.
It's great to know that once Monster Silk gets online commercially that KBLB already has a second product developed right behind it. Furthermore Big Red shows KBLB can effectively customize their product allowing for a myriad of possibilities for customers with deep pockets and specific requirements.
KBLB has consistently been a steady moving (slightly boring to wait though) research and development enterprise that has diligently folded in the roles of moving towards commercialization. KBLB has been more work and effort than show and glitz so far and for that reason I like it and many don't.
Good luck with your investments.
Have a good weekend all.

Updated Ibox-
Congratulations on a successful pilot program Kim!
The Company keeps moving forward and that's all that matter to me and to the SP overall. These prototypes are the key to the next step. As each prototype (however many) gets the green light, BAM there's a deal, and another and another and another.
With all the markets KBLB's silk can cover I couldn’t even guess how many prototypes are being sent out/made. Literally there are hundreds of products in each market that can utilize and benefit from Monster Silk. No one should underestimate how much silk KBLB needed just for prototyping or the planning it took to get it done. Kim seemed to push the PPP pretty fast and those that complain that things are taking too long should have been more appreciative of that fact. Now KBLB can fulfill those large scale samples needed for the industries that will take Monster Silk and make it a household name in their products. IMO There is going to be a flood of new product lines in the coming years all with KBLB’s Monster Silk. Exciting times!

Great PR today!
Good communication from the CEO and very forthcoming IMO.
"(KBLB) has successfully produced a sufficient quantity of Monster Silk™ cocoons to allow the Company to make the first Monster Silk™ textile prototypes."
"The cocoons still need to be reeled and processed into yarn before the first prototype and sample textiles can be produced."
-IMO he didn't have to put this in, it's very open, honest and clear.
"The Company plans to delay the launch of commercial production until sometime in September. We can now do this with no expected impact on our schedule to produce new textiles. By moving the production launch to September we may also be in a position to increase the scale of the initial commercial production by a factor of two or more. The Laboratory is taking full advantage of the time by working on egg production in order to increase the scale of the commercial launch."

a.k.a ETC
I don't think you get that the first S1 was done. The shares that are being sold through the means they are would be happening regardless of a second deal and quiet period. He didn't choose one over an other. You are Assuming something, Im taking the Owner/CEOs statement for what it is.
"an additional quiet period, or any further open ended extension of the quiet period, would be too counterproductive."
Any statement you make negative or positive is an ASSUMPTION.
The Owner says it would be counter productive, did you miss it, do you know something we don't?
Go on though with your assumptions though...
If you see that I have leeway, it's true and is due to all the research I've done on this company, your bias against the company is for you to answer for.
When Sigma Aldrich pulls their License agreement with KBLB I'll worry.
When University of Notre Dame pulls out, I'll worry.
When the University of Wyoming pulls their Licenses, I'll worry.
When Kim holds off on a "name brand" financing deal just after acquiring some financing, Im fine, just fine.
Go KBLB.
I don't think it's unbelievable.
http://www.kraiglabs.com/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-ends-quiet-period/
During the quiet period, the Company was unable, from its perspective, to effectively disseminate corporate information announcements and public relations announcements. The Company had come to terms with a New York based investment banking firm for a potential financing (in addition to the financing described in the recently filed S1) that would have necessitated a second S1 registration.
The Company has determined however that the burden of an additional quiet period, or any further open ended extension of the quiet period, would be too counterproductive.
My guess is that Kim wouldn't want the SP to dip too low after the June 14th S1 filing. Ending the quiet period allowed him to do some PRs and raise the SP. July 1st, 8th, 15th and the 22nd all had PRs issued and have curved the SP up. Nothing says he was denied the funding, so nothing says he can't go back to the table when he feels it's right for the company. Only Kim knows why and on what terms he did what he did.
All JMO, definitely would like to hear others.
Good luck in your investment or noninvestment in KBLB Pedro1.
GO KBLB.
Without knowing the exact terms one can't really say.
I would think anyone in their right mind looking in on the situation would have to assume the terms were not satisfactory.
Go KBLB.
Randy is on KBLBs side.
He definitely has his own projects like his goats and whatever new bacteria protein he's researching, but anything regarding silkworms expressing spider silk is on KBLBs behalf. Just like Randy, each scientist involved with KBLB is on their own front with their University stretching (if your will) the web of feasibility and development with regards to the myriad of uses for a new textile such as Monster Silk. Don't forget there is Utah with Randy, Notre Dame with Malcom Fraser and Wyoming with Dr. Jarvis. On each of these fronts KBLB's product(s)/research is getting attention.
Go KBLB!
Hopefully the trend continues and we hear more news this coming week!

From my perspective I wouldn't think Kim would add personnel until it was absolutely necessary. KBLB apparently has come that far.
