Exactly, you should not be in OTC's unless you are there in front of it as it's happening. Way to risky.
And on the whole limit / market order thing it just shows how your right. Indivuals can't really trade like that.... So what/who would/could cause that kind of movement.
GO KBLB.
As I said before, these games don't really matter in the LONG run.
Love the feedback and amount of posts today!
Everybody seems geared up for manana.
I haven't even seen it myself. I don't want to give that site my email address. Although I continue to check every other avenue of info. Thanks for those who posted the transcripts of it. Every other PR I put right up, but I personally don't want to send people to something they have to put their email in to get info.
As we may hate the venue, any interview with the CEO of a company you invest in should be one you want to see. Just looking for the sentiment on the board about this. Thought it would be fair. I agree with you jimmy and do not like the venue Kim chose to put out an interview right before the CC.
It upsets me how smart he is and all the great things he's thought of about with what he's doing and then little things like this happen. Not the greatest financing neg. ie calm seas, KBLB website down for way to long(IMO) and this interview given to a stock promoter instead of a local news outlet or something where we don't have to share our info just for a glimpse of inisight on what the CEO is up to or thinking. On the other hand there are far more positive things (again IMO) with KBLB and that has what has kept me here so long.
GO KBLB.
I think that's why (at least with Ameritrade) they don't allow TradeTriggers with OTC stocks. They are too unpredictable and often manipulated. Triggers would be kicking you out all the time and you would be left in the dust when the swings occur. Although I can set limit orders ahead. Kind of like a trigger to sell (example Sell 50,000 shares KBLB @ $10.00 exp 09/12) at whatever price I want and set a date of exp on that limit order.
GO KBLB.
That blogs is written by one of our very own mod's here on this board. He's done a great job with it.
Seperate note.
Should I include the chartpopper release in the IBOX?
Anyone?
GO KBLB.
The intraday chart shows an unsual push of volume sending this far south at the .185 mark, then another unusual(although not as big as the push down) spike of volume picking this up at .155. Weird. Either someone/thing nailed/manipulated this just right or random traders all together picked the dive and bought/called the low in some harmonious action....
That's my last comment on spec of the action today.

I don't all together agree on the speculation of todays manipulation. But I also counter those who say the stock moved up quickly. KBLB's stock hasn't climbed THAT quickly. There has been a steady 4 cent channel it's been moving on. On a daily basis we have been moving up a bit. It's not like we went from .10 to .22 in two days, it's been on a steady course since 05/31 PR. And there have been sustaining press releases to support the stocks movement. The sudden drop can be from those who accumulated all week worrying about the CC and the "sell on news" mentality. BUT, it was a REALLY sharp drop today. It wasn't gradual to then fast like it would be with a herd mentality, this sharp drop does seem more controlled in it's exectution. Who knows. I think we too often blame MM's as some boogey man in our lack of understanding what the indivudual investor is thinking and doing, but i'm also not so naive where I don't know Computers run most of the OTC markets and are running amazing programs using math in ways that would snap my neck if I tried to comprehend them.

I'm out for the day.
Ibox looks great. Been polishing it up.
Kim should just copy and paste it for his site. lol
Very true, he could sell out Gen 1 and hold on to Gen2 and Gen3. Many possibilities.
As MU said, "bottom line is that it is all good!"
GO KBLB.
Noticed KBLB is not in the buzz cloud today.
What if he spun (no pun intended) KBLB into Three seperate divisions and asked for/ made deals individually. Gen 1 Textile Division. Gen2 Spidersilk Premium Textile Divisions(Kevlar would be in that one) Gen3 Medical Division. Each of these on there own merrit can be highly valued. Maybe he wants to stay in Gen 1 but sell off Gen2 and Gen3 because of how much more time it would involve to move those into production. Who knows. If he does want to move on to other projects a lump sum would be great, but a big lump and a steady source of funds would help him even more on any new endevour.
I would love for him to address the A/S. That's number one on my list. The Calm Seas Issue I see as just what he had to do to get financing (which wasn't an easy thing when he started this project.) He started in 2006, market crashed in 2008, financing has became a barren desert since. Calm Seas maybe wasn't the best approach but it was obvioulsy something he had to do to keep the business running. If he's as smart as we all say he is he wouldn't have done it unless he had to. It wasn't untill mid to late 2010 that KBLB actually proved it could do what it theorized back in 2006. Although I am lenient on the Calm Seas topic for my reasons above I would also like this to be discussed in some length during the CC.

A lot of volume today and quick but the price hasn't moved much. Anyone have the current short info? I think KBLB will stay in the .185 -.21 channel till the Conference Call. I was hoping it will go higher but without an 8-10 million volume day I don't think we can break .21. Although, anything can happen as we build toward Friday. At least there is a stronger base being formed. If Kim releases quantitative specifics on where they are at with commercializaion then this could open Monday at .30-.40. And if Kim doesn't give anything like that, it's not far along anyway.

For all the noobs read the ibox for the positives about the company.
For the negatives about this company: They haven't made any money in the 6 years they've done research, so they've had to use common financing methods to fund the company (Disclosed in all their Filings). Another bad thing is the company has a huge share structure. A/S 10 Billion(which is listed at the top of the Ibox for all to see). KBLB is hosting a Conference Call that day at 4:30 p.m. E.D.T. All questions for the CC should be submitted by Thursday June 9th 2011 to benh@ttfsco.com. Details on how one can listen in will be released the same morning of the the Conference Call June 10th.

I will post this a couple times throughout the week,
just something to do while we wait for Friday.
Totally agree. It's extremely annoying.
Just finished updating the ibox. I added Dr. Kaplan to the board of advisors this morning and just finished the Press release right now.
Can anyone find a pic of Raymond Kutsunai? As soon as Kim updates his website with one, Im using it. Can't find any pic of Raymond on the internet.
I'm guessing a big gap up on the Monday after the CC. People will have a couple days to let the info marinate and can do their DD over the weekend. Every time KBLB hosts something, PR, PC, CC etc, I believe more and more people are listening and positioning. Especially since the Sigma Licensing Deal and now we have Big Worms and Dr. Kaplan. Any body who knows anything about Dr. Kaplan and his work will take some time to check out the CC, or at least the news that's posted subsequently.
Can't wait for Friday and Monday!

There is also another method that uses electric current which somehow reinforces silk and adds strength. ragmuff Thursday, October 21, 2010 12:56:21 PM Re: TheEternalChampion post# 9305 Post # of 22533
Posted this the other day, shows a way to strengthen silk.
ALD Process:
(ChattahBox)—A team of German scientists in Australia merged metal with protein-based spider silk at the molecular atomic level, to create a newer and stronger hybrid product that’s up to 10 times stronger and more durable. The fictional character, Peter Parker as Spiderman now has some competition for his stronger than steel web-silk. Head researcher, Mato Knez, of the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics in Halle, believes the new study has implications for future uses in manufacturing stronger textiles, surgical thread or even synthetic bonesScientists say it’s not unusual to find bits of metal merged with organic parts of animal’s jaws, stingers and claws. Basing its research on metal composites already existing in the animal kingdom, scientists incorporated zinc, titanium and aluminium ions into natural spider silk, by adapting a method called called atomic layer deposition or ALD.ALD is a process where gases are used on solid materials to trigger a reaction, allowing manufacturers to coat the materials with a protective shield. The process works by first adding and then removing a gas, which leaves a residue of molecules on the material’s surface. Then a second gas is added that reacts with the left-behind molecules from the first gas, forming a coating.
Scientists devised a method of breaking down the complex spider silk proteins by exposing them to intense hot water vapor. Once the silk proteins became weakened, they were more susceptible to merging with the tiny molecules of metal, when the metals became attached to the shredded protein bonds.
The spider silk scientists then increased the time the gases were exposed to the spider silk, submerging the protein-based silk with the gases, until the metal ions penetrated the structure of the silk itself, changing the basic protein structure into something entirely new.
When tested, the new spider silk-metal hybrid material proved amazingly stronger.Knez believes the primary importance of his research proves scientists can improve and alter protein-based materials, at their molecular level, raising implications for the technique for use on all sorts of other protein-based materials. Scientists have already used the technology to strengthen collagen fibers and the applications could be endless. The spider silk study is available in U.S. Journal of Science.
Still cool though.
Go KBLB.
Exactly. Let's speculate though,
Begining in 2008/2009 (filed for years 2007/2008) the 10k's give an extremely fuzzy time line. As with all biotechs you think okay...yeah we can hope, but how seriously can we take that guestimate. At least it gives us plenty of time to do our DD and see if those who are involved check out.
Then in the 10k filed in 2010(for 2009) a clearer timeline is given with specific goals. You think okay, it's good to see goals set so one can still hope. At least there was a dividend and Kim seems to continue the good fight as far as anyone who's done their DD has seen.
With this more specific timeline set in April's Filing we then get a September Press Conference AT THE UNIVERSITY of NOTRE DAME (which should have made the extreme doubters that KBLB was not legit change their tune) proving their science and revealing the first step in their specific timeline. Even better they announced it in September! (their goal was December). So they beat their estimated timeline by at least 4 months. This in theory should have moved all their target dates up a bit.
The new introduction of Sigmas Zinc Fingers into the process (as per the license agreement negotiated this year) might have put some extra time on the clock but regardless by KBLB's estimate/ Kim's guidance has Jan 2012 set for commercialization. Now if they are just the slightest ahead of schedule with Gen1 (since they announced their breakthough in Sept instead of Decemberish and if the Zinc Fingers only applies to Gen 2 and further Gens) then a couple months early from Janurary 2012 could be very close to now. Also in the newest 10k (filed 2011 for 2010)Kim dropped the time line schedule all together and just gives general guidance to research and possible accounting upgrades into next year 2012.
So were running with a time line that could be any time now to beginning of 2012. And when he means commercialization, does he mean that's (estimating)when the deal would be struck or does he means all out production is up and running.
GO KBLB. Sorry for the long post.
The rest of the post is excerpts from the prev 10k's if anyone wants to read them. I put them at the bottom to save you from reading through it in between my totally opinionated post.
2009 Annual Filing,Filed 04/15/09 for the Period Ending 12/31/08 10k excerpt:
We are in the research and development stage. We currently have no developed products and does not produce any revenue from the sale of products. Management anticipates that we will remain in the research and development stage for the next two to three years at a minimum.
2010 Annual Filing,
Filed 04/15/10 for the Period Ending 12/31/09 10k excerpt: Research and Development
Our current research and development is being conducted sequentially in two stages.
First stage: Reduction to practice
1) We will reduce to practice our technology for spider silk protein expression in the silk glands of the silkworm. The focus at this stage is spider silk analogs and the production of new silk fibers composed of recombinant proteins. We are hopeful that we can achieve this goal by December 31, 2010.
Second stage: Commercialization
2) High Performance Fibers : Once we have achieved the production of recombinant fiber, we will turn the technology to the
production of high performance polymers. We intend to will follow the accepted market structure in the industry: vertical integration for
certain applications, and bulk sale of spun fiber directly to intermediate and end product manufacturers. There is also the possibility of licensing our product and technology. Our goal is to reach the following achievements within the indicated time frame:
Achievement / Time horizon
Laboratory production of recombinant fiber. December 31, 2010
Laboratory production of recombinant high performance fiber. April 30, 2011
Commercialization of recombinant fiber. January 30, 2012
Most recent / 2011 Annual Filing,
Filed 04/15/11 for the Period Ending 12/31/10Most recent 10k excerpt:
During the next twelve months, we expect to take the following steps in connection with the further development of our business and the implementation of our plan of operations:
We are developing a plan to ensure that all information will be recorded, processed, summarized and reported accurately, and as of the date of this report, we have taken the following steps to address the above-referenced material weaknesses in our internal control over financial reporting:
1. We will continue to educate our management personnel to increase its ability to comply with the disclosure requirements and financial reporting controls;
and
2. We will increase management oversight of accounting and reporting functions in the future; and
3. As soon as we can raise sufficient capital or our operations generate sufficient cash flow, we will hire personnel to handle our accounting and reporting
functions.
While the first two steps of our remediation process are ongoing, we do not expect to remediate the weaknesses in our internal controls over financial reporting until January 2012, when we hope to commercialize a recombinant fiber (and, therefore, may have sufficient cash flow for hiring personnel to handle our accounting and reporting functions).

Totally agree with your statement:
dabraham227,"But I think there is something bigger going on than we know".
If Kim played poker the in the same way he's run this business his nickname would be stoneface. He makes absolutely no hint to what he has in his hand until he lays them out for all to see. You are then free to slap your forehead and shout. Whether you like his hand depends on if you're for or against him.
Go KBLB!
.173 is a around 25% gain for the day. Anyone who bought in this morning or in the last week or so (around the .13 range) for a quick flip might pull off around there with a 20%-25% gain. KBLB then would consolodate and then move again ( if volume maintains). The volume has come in quick today, I don't think it will keep the pace though. But who knows. I have no idea how many people really have their ear to this or how to value this other than priceless. The amount of overlap into other industries is incredible! After all the research is paid off do you know how cheap the business of making spidersilk from silkworms is. They'll be making money hand over fist one way or another (licensing or direct hands on business model).
If KBLB hit .26 around the last Press Conference which basically said, HEY! we've been working on this for 4 years and now we proved we can do this! What should it be worth when they are so close to saying, HEY! We have made a $deal$ with this! Not to mention all the improvements they've made on what they announced back in September. They really have come a long way in a short amount of time since last year.
Go KIM!
GO KBLB!
Just thinking out loud.
Thanks Zinc. So Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Inc. (KBLB) has created a new genetically larger Monster Hybrid silkworm.
If the worm is genetically engineered bigger from the get go and produces a larger cocoon and creates more eggs (which is usually the case for larger worms/moths)as compared to the normal commercial strain then if KBLB just happened to incorporate that new feed for their big boned silkworms we would have even bigger silkworms. Collosal Monster Hybrid Worms!! Sounds like a ScyFy movie title.
Kims Quote from the PR:
"This larger hybrid transgenic will be the platform for our commercialization ramp up," Thompson continued. "Now that the strength and elasticity qualities have been confirmed, we can move forward with cultivating the hybrids in commercially viable quantities. We are working diligently to increase our stock of the new strain in order to increase our production capacity."

New technique boosts silk production [April 26, 2011 (India)]
Source:http://www.fibre2fashion.com/news/textile-news/newsdetails.aspx?news_id=98142
The new technique that the scientists have adopted, has delivered positive results, as a rise has been noted in the number of eggs that the silkworms lay and has resulted in a rise in silk production in Uttarakhand.
The scientists at the centre begun to feed the silkworms with better quality feed, which helps the silkworms to lay healthier eggs.
The fertility rate has gone up from 80-120 to 240-260. The silkworms are provided with better quality feed, which causes them to gain more weight, due to which when the pupa transforms, it is of a bigger size, which eventually results in a big sized moth.
Due to the bigger size of moth, the number of eggs that silkworms lay has also gone up.
Alongside good feed, the silkworms were even provided better living conditions.
In lines with the increased weight of cocoon from six to 13 grams, there has also been a rise in the quantity of the silk thread from each silkworm cocoon.
Tens of thousands of farmers in the state have been induced to take up sericulture as an alternative business.
Fibre2fashion News Desk - India
If they incorporate this new feed (at any point in time) with the silkworms they've engineered commercial production would ramp up so fast your head would spin.
BTW KBLB just broke .16! Wonder if the 200,000 shares that were short last night have been covered yet ( if the short info I saw was correct, got it from Bloomberg).
GO KBLB.
Look at the volume today.
I ran across that a couple times too. I've been looking for the "new feed that makes silkworms bigger" article and have been running across that. Seems like some kind of disease or something has stricken a lot of silkworm crops. The other article that pops up a lot is the one where a group feeds silkworms dye in their diet to create colored silkworms which spin colored thread, thus removing the dyeing process and saving the use of more chemicals. Someone posted earlier about "if it would be hard to dye the KBLB silk". If we can't dye it (but there is now reason that I've heard scientifically why we can't) they could just be pre color fed.
GO KBLB.
No more time to post details or links I gotta hit the hay, updated ibox with the news release for noobs to see.
Be back Thursday. Have a great humpday all.
Been gone for a while and just noticed we have more people banned?! I'll have to catch up on what the heck happened.
Seems like Kim is keeping people on their toes. Good volume today. IBox will be updated to add this new release of info about the larger worms.
It (the new feed that greatly increases the size of silkworms) was posted about before like dadofduck said, but I can not find the link anymore. Can anyone else give a try? I would like to put the link with the news release in the box. I am assuming this is why KBLB has larger worms. On second thought maybe I'll wait till after the CC to see if that IS the exact reason the worms are larger, it could be for another reason.

November 2009, precisely the 150th anniversary of the
publication of the first edition of Darwin’s book On the
Origin of Species. The species is thus named in honor of
Charles R. Darwin, 200 years after his birth.
Another excerpt:
Hence, a new global taxonomic revision is necessary to
1) match sexes of species previously known from females
only, 2) understand Caerostris diversity better and describe
new species, and 3) obtain Caerostris DNA data for
taxonomic and phylogenetic investigations; this work is already underway in the authors’ laboratories.
