You find TM of any interest right here?
Is this Cabo drilling? Imagine my shock to see my own thinking confirmed by Clive Roffey in the fortnightly release on Goldseek. He only covers a handfull of juniors, two of which this week were HLO and MGM. Cabo is included. TA only . No fundamental analysis although something keys the selection out of a myriad of stocks. I've followed his technicals on the South Africans avidly as I've owned all the larger ones since the early ninties.
Lota no brainers in May. I may need to drill a half inch hole in my head to check to see what's in there. El Porto sandbar dregs no doubt. I've still got a feeling this entire sector has'nt even started as proven by absolute wipe outs like 04-05. May not actually start till I'm too old or too senile to make a difference.
Never could get a handle on those massive volume days although they often preceed runaway moves up in price. Halo's doing good work on the Batchelor lake project but the market still does'nt seem to put much value in production. That should change at some point and take small producers up along with the blue sky stories. I'm betting stocks like Morgain are going to go and possibly this one as well.
Considering the way GNG popped with nothing other than an NR on a proposed drill program, there may be a renewed interest in the sector. Had a hard drive crash and lost my logon.
How do you like the chances of this drill campaign? The market does'nt seem to be to interested, but I don't put a lot of stock in that.
I'm starting to get a list of these beaten down issues now. Right at the top has got to be Tumi. What the heck caused the price to plummet? NPG is another one. We're looking at taking out 450 POG. Something has to give.
Jilbey is showing some strong activity today.
Well nobody's tried to log North Sentinel and actually from what I can make of the situation, it's not going to happen in my lifetime. The rest of the chain is doomed I'm sure.
Kind of amazing to see a major government at least espousing an enlightened approach. You get a different picture when on the ground watching the logging operations though. Looks like a possible coil is forming in our favorite sector here. Big volume stick on CLG.
Actually I had the heaviest demands placed on me I've experienced to date by brokers striving to meet securities regulations in the tranfer from Kenor SA. This one should be interesting.
have you ever looked at the list of institutional ownership in this company? Impressive to say the least. Looks like something approaching a no brainer.
M, are you still watching fundamental developments in NPG? The projects list is still extensive and the price is continuing lower.
Unbelieveable, Millar and company gut out the entire permit process and will be leaching by May. This is what I expected out of this operation and the market sleeps thru it. The sector bear continues unabated.
Doing more research on a Burma trip. I've got to find that article that appeared in Surfers Journal by the guys who showed up in the Andamans.
probably excellent timing once again.
Great article. Thanks
I just like those guys flinging arrows at the helecopters. Wanted to meet em when I was there but they're way to smart for that.
Tsunami update - seems like the inhabitants of North Sentinel in the Andaman chain made it through by staying off the beach. Indian coast guard choppers report taking arrow fire by descending to fifty meters to recon damage. The big change came from plate shift and the island now sits several feet higher than prior to the earthquake. That has undoubtedly impacted the best right reef pass in the Andamans.
I've got to think that this is the worst natural disaster to hit this area in recorded history. Force five cyclones have undoubtedly come ashore many times and never wiped out the rail line. Now the Ocean Queen is destroyed with all on board. That was the finest train I've ever ridden as it wound it's way down the coast through near paradise. The village wells were always the most tenuous links to survival. They must have been seriously damaged in a wide area. Life was tough enough for most people before this.
Really grim. The village I stayed in in Midigama took a direct hit. I'm going to try to check on the family now. To make matters worse, there's a guy on SI posting news on an outbreak of HN-79 bird flu human varient in Matara.
Correct, it was the producing asset of Blackhawk. Held it for two and a half years and broke even. Later on in the decade no doubt the fine list that follows from amarksp will increase 20 fold.
That's one heck of a commentary on the situation we find our selves in. Clear thinking is not all that common right now. Congratulations.
Now there's an uncommon veiwpoint. All the talk of a crowded position short the USD is falacious. What might be the total figure for long position in US equities? A mind numbing number I would assume.
They're a large contract driller. Not sure but perhaps one of the largest with Jv's in a number of projects. One of the last that I recall was with Fort Knox. Watching that last SRY pump fizzle. Wonder who took the quick profits on that one.
I've been thinking about it for months. May drift back with no drilling planned.
Nice chart, put's things in a different perspective. What do you make of that massive cross and no price movement?
Hey com'on that's one you want to own for the next long run. I'm kicking myself for not buying at your last entry point. If anythings a hold for the long term it is.
Want to see some mystery volume build in a dog issue, look at SUL. To top that Dynatec trades over twenty million shares down eight cents. Somebody's breathing the nitros up there.
Pretty good for Adam Yauch eh?
Looks like that predicted run in BCP is well under way.
No promotion equals no interest. These guys have as much chance as anyone striking an ore body. No one knows they exist.
Ormetal really goes in streaks. A string of duds, then two or three hits. Maybe ready for another run of duds.
Bishop calls Qaurterra a " structurally challenged company ". I think he means that there are too many shares out to compensate for the likelihood of a solid strike. What do you know about GNM? There seems to be f*ck all interest in these juniors at the moment.
In 83. Stayed in Midigama with a family that had never taken guests before. No electricity, two half way decent surfbreaks, a room and three good meals for US .89 daily. It's the only place I've ever been in the foot prints of the Buddha that I could clearly feel the remnants of the energy intact. Arthur Clarke has always said that if you go and have any thing close to a positive experience, you will go back.
You spend much time in Sri Lanka? As I look back I think that's one of the best things I ever did. I definitely want to go back maybe to die.
Where is it? I'm ready for some west swell.
Hey is that bodysurfing shot new? I never noticed it.
Really adds some texture don't it?
I'm virtually all in cash. As usual the last round of selling was all wrong. We're obviously stuck here. If 448 is meaningless then what level is going to have an effect? Just letting my big winners run and trying not to step on any land mines.
