I'll tell you my friend, we have been trying to get a third person to help us with the increase in business for the past two months. Cannot find anyone. Anybody with a little experience and reliable would be welcome. Our store has doubled in business since August. My partner and I are running the show that needs 3 or 4 people.
Indeed.
HAPPIEST NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Very good po.
I do not think she would have liked that, being Roman Catholic & all. Btw, it was very cold in Jerusalem, and Bethlehem was bombed right after I was there.
Salamat.
Yes indeed, thank you. Two Catholics cannot get married in Israel, esp. that neither of us is a citizen.
Always your special song.
The Orville has gotten better with each episode. Better than the new Star Trek Discovery, I am sad to say.
William Shatner attending the Europe conventions next year.
He may actually live long enough to be a futuristic character...
Hope everyone is having a happy, healthy holiday season.
Weather has been beautiful down here.
~Peace~
Toda Raba.
Thank you Ron. I am back from Ramat Gan & Tel Aviv, Israel. Had a wonderful time with my fiance'. Flights were very challenging. Partners El Al & Jet Blue do not communicate/coordinate with each other. Almost got cancelled out of flights. More about that later.
Parts of Israel remind me of an older NY City. Food was very good. Everything is very expensive. Weather was unexpectedly great. 80 degrees during the day, and 70 at night. I understand it got cooler right after I got back here. Florida weather is perfect now too.
Ok, going to rest and get over jet lag for now...

Shalom, off to Israel...

Actually, I am going to Israel to visit her. And yes, you are correct.
None of our inventory was damaged. I took care to see to that...just had to clean up a flooded floor in the liquor store.
No looting by me. Pretty nice neighborhood.
But, I could sure use a rest...
Thank you Mike. Yes, some still don't have power (or even a home, for that matter).
Yes, it was the incredible amount of tornadoes that did the most damage.
I am so tired, one glass of wine would put me to sleep...oh wait, I could use that about now. Hell week is over, and I never worked so hard. It was like opening the stores all over again with a limited crew.
Between ordering and stocking the shelves in the regular store, then three trucks of liquor to shelve, I am surprised I am still standing (well, sitting as I type this).
Fared very well. No damage, never lost power, and only had water off for about 2 hours.
Cleanup at my 2 stores is a job. Liquor store flooded out. Long work days this week.
All in all, just almost routine now after 20 years in Florida.
Yes, weakening a bit and tracking more west. But, it did slow down significantly, from 16 mph to 6 mph. It will hang around longer...
Yes my friend, thank you.
That's a definite INDEED.
Indeedly.
One reason (of several) is that when some married Filipinos separate (no divorce recognized there, just annulment which is very time consuming and expensive), they can go to another town and get married again with a whole new family. They have made it very complicated for themselves. I forget the word in Tagalog, but it is tantamount to spies working for Embassy people that trip up many people there trying to get Visas. Whether legitimate or not, these "spies" make what money they can to produce results, real or feigned. (Blame mostly on their financial hardship.)
The actual truth is that a marriage there, legally performed, should be recognized here. The scary part is submitting documents there can get tripped up and denied, and then have to wait six months to reapply. My fiance' saw it happen too many times to her cousins and friends. That is why there are so many Filipinos working in Israel and other countries. I read an article recently about the incredible number of Filipinos working in Israel.
Thank you for your thoughts. We need all the luck we can get.
Thank you very much Mike.
I hope I can go.
Me too, unless you count a work phone (not a Smart phone).
I recently bought a Zenpad to keep in touch with my Fiance'.
Big difference (time & situation). Many conflicting issues, but some seem true. What is definite is that the Embassy is not issuing Tourist or Fiance' Visas to Filipinos for the US right now. If/when denied, have to wait 6 months to apply again. Conflicting information on whether the US recognizes marriages here, originated in the Philippines.
Been working for months on this.
Now, she is going to work in Israel (at least a year). Easier to get a Visa from Israel for the US. Quite a heartache, and flights TO Israel are about 3x the price than to the Philippines. Flights From Israel are not too bad.
One thing I now know, getting her here is difficult but most important. Whatever the case or type of Visa, once you marry an American citizen here, they cannot deport her as long as you can show a history and legal marriage certificate. Then you work on everything else.
My goal is for dual citizenship.
Just hope I live long enough to see all this through. :-/
Still looks good, and thank you.
Looks good so far. Good luck.
Oh my my...must be the TD part.
Oh my.
Thank you...I think.
Certainly can be a coarse course...of course. lol
Thank you Mike.
Challenging for sure...impossible...depends on your course of action.
Maybe you need to learn how to do it right the first (next) time, lol.
(Study hard, it's a difficult course.) :)
Indeed.
Thank you Ron.
