successfull women are used to getting those kinds of remarks... often those giving the remarks don't even realize they are shown their real colors... but in the case of Bush I have to wonder if it wasn't deliberately scripted to continue to try to undermine her power
let's hope the new congress follows through and gets health care coverage for all children... that would be a good first step
...eighth place, after Canada and Japan
doesn't surprise me... just on the issue of health care it seems we are doing a poor job
thanks for the update. I sure wish I could read as fast as you do!
if I didn't live on the far west coast, I would live on the north east coast... but all my kids are out this way so it's not likely to happen. I have a good friend who moved to VA several years ago and is completely happy out there.
LOL... he's a dishonest little twerp... people forget he was once fired by Bush Sr.
it's such an interesting contrast to most of the west coast where everything is new and modern... even in SF proper most of the city burned in 1906 so there isn't much older than that.
Did anyone catch Bush's sexist remark to Pelosi?
And in my first act of bipartisan outreach since the election, I shared with her the names of some Republican interior decorators...
(LAUGHTER)
... who can help her pick out the new drapes in her new offices.

Too bad the legislature didn't fix the problem properly... we'll see how it pans out. But I support not allowing government to expropriate property so developers can make big bucks.
400 years... amazing. I've always wanted to do a vacation and visit historical spots like that in New England... I've been to Boston and did the Freedom(?) Trail and been to DC, but I know there is so much more to see.
Goes to show how much you can trust history books
it was rather wonderful :)
let's hope the dems do better... if not, I'm all for kicking their butts next time around.... and keeping on kicking them out until we find ones that do the job.
please post an update when your done :)
sounds really interesting. have you read it?
that turned out to be accurate
right!
When I heard he was gone... that was some of the best news.

great quote!
I posted it on the PEACE board.
"Seven blunders of the world that lead to violence: wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, commerce without morality, science without humanity, worship without sacrifice, politics without principle," -
Mahatma Gandhi.

thanks! I passed that on to family and friends.
sounds weird to me since they were originally controlled by those very supportive of GOP interests... I'd like to find more about this new development.
But really teh bottom line is that these companies should not be owned by foreign interests or partisan interests even here in this country. They should be regulated and be required to report on who owns them, who their investors are, etc.
yup... watch the left side of his face when he speaks to see his real feelings...

the Rep's will just keep printing money for now
yes, a serious serious issue and you don't hear about that in the campaign ads
great clip
but the GOP would rather it be gay marriage... since they don't have any other leg to stand on
Rush wrong? LOL
all the time... not often he admits it
I think alot of people have been trying to tell the story for a long time and it's been suppressed... now that things are so obviously a disaster, it's "okay" to bash Bush and more is coming out or to the surface... like Woodward. He should have spoke up ages ago.
I just put the movie at the top of my netflix queue...
sly has an interesting article posted on his board about the Bush smirk and the two sides of the brain...
I'll have to try and make time to check it out...
I wonder where you can buy Product Red by Bono?
okay, thanks... I'll look for that
ahhh... now when it's about money people will pay attention
does stockcharts not allow posting of charts any longer?
I knew about WalMart abuses... but I didn't know about Hanes, Pennies, etc... more places to boycott
thanks everyone for keeping this board alive during my absence
sure seems like the burden is in the blue states even though they didn't vote for the idiot in charge
I didn't know about that... I'll have to check it out since I"m pretty sure I get cspan 2
I love that quote! I've always felt that when I read a good, worthwhile book, it's like a gift of one on one time with the author and his/her sharing of wisdom with me.
