Thanks for helping us all with the market depth, much appreciated.
Great answer thanks!
I am as pleased as everyone else. Is anyone worried about the fact they are in Taiwan and there is speculation China will invade Taiwan?
The 49 million dollar tax loss carry forward, the clean nature of the shell, and the small float add up to significant value. The odds seem excellent, probably outstanding. Hotels will be a hot business when the pandemic finally ends whether by burning itself out, or because a universal vaccine is brought to market. (I am part a small group of scientists working on that. If curious, ask me by a private note so as not to go off on a tangent here.) The main points I want to make are that the tax loss carry forward is valuable, and the hotel business is going to explode in profitability when the pandemic ends or significantly decreases.
What connection does our team have with this transaction? Thanks
I called the DTC and they said that they are included in the count if they are not restricted shares. So that seems to agree with you in that restricted shares are not counted, but non restricted shares in any form are.
Would shares in certificate form not in a brokerage account still be included in the DTC count?
Many much longer. I bought the current shares I own in May of 2016, but had another block of shares much earlier, most likely at least 5 years before that. My first investment in this was when the name was Holl Technologies and they were a nanotechnology company that made the mistake of trying bio-fuels instead of many other applications such as chips, paints and medicines. That is now ancient history, but I bought a very early tranche of stock back then at 1.75 a share. That was the tranche after the angel investor round. Now it seems highly likely that it gets exciting and our patience is rewarded. The youth of the leaders is a big plus, and of course the monstrous tax write off (approximately 49 million if memory serves) is worth a great deal.
Thank you. Well done!
On page 4 it says "On December 14, 2021, there were 195,645-159 shares......outstanding"....is that a error on the number of shares..what does the - mean? How many shares are there?
Thanks. I agree with the optimism.
Interesting that the amount is about what the previous guy paid for the shell, so could he have accepted shares in a delayed manner for vending it to the new CEO?
Which country is the richest in Africa?
Nigeria
Nigeria is the richest and most populous country in Africa.
Richest African Countries by GDP
Nigeria - $514.05 billion.
Egypt - $394.28 billion.
South Africa - $329.53 billion.
Algeria - $151.46 billion.
Morocco - $124 billion.
Kenya - $106.04 billion.
Bigger volume appears to have taken out the offer at 1 dollar.
Thanks. Not sure I understand the reference to Nigeria. Nigeria is a place where scams originate as I understand it, but also a place with vast oil and gas and mineral resources, so a bit tricky to know if a link to that country would be good for investors or not. I like natural resource plays so that would be something I would have a better chance of being able to evaluate than other areas. There are some small buys perhaps on pure speculation, although we hope those buyers have better reasons.
For some reason I do no see an image.
In that case, and given he is the top guy there, this is going to be big, and it is only a question of how big. A guy like that would not bother to take this shell on if he did not have a project he was going to put into it. There is no way to put a value on this at this point. However given the size of projects they do, it should make the long wait worth it. Thank you for putting that together, and for your prompt reply. Much appreciated.
You seem to be one of those who know more than most, so I hope you do not mind my asking you this key question. What relationship does KRBF have with Evergreen? Is the new CEO one of those guys? Do we know the new CEO's name? If not one of them, how do we know there is a relationship? Of course even if just speculation, it is good, but if we know of an actual connection, then there is very serious reasoning that says that it will be big, and that the wait will have been more than worth it. Thanks in advance. This was a very clean shell, well chosen.
You did not mean Evergrande I assume? What do we know of the new CEO so far? Starting to get very interesting.
Yes, they are reviewing my certificate now, might even take it in finally...fingers crossed.
Has anyone been able to actually buy any? I ask because Schwab told me a few weeks ago before the financials were posted that the SEC had put a buy restriction on these shares so you could sell but you could NOT buy them. I put a buy order in that day which was the last day it could be done and since removed it as it is way below the current price. I would really like to know if anyone actually was able to buy any, as it would mean the SEC restriction has been lifted now that the filings are up to date, which of course indicates something positive is about to happen it would seem logical to deduce.
I see they are filing again which is obviously positive. The negative that is most striking is that you cannot sell it currently as the SEC has ruled that it can only be sold until the filings are brought up to date as I understand it from my broker at Schwab. I might not have it right. Do you see a bid and ask as I do not? My shares remain in certificate form as I could not deposit them having missed the filing by about one week. Hope remains.
I went to buy some this morning, only to find out that on the 30th we will be restricted to only selling, per the SEC cracking down on non-reporting companies. That explains the very large offers this morning at very low prices.
Thanks for the last two posts, and now I know what profile means. Yes, at one point I had 5.3 million shares at the peak, just under 10%. If I had played my cards better I would have has twice that amount as I sold near the bottom and bought back near the bottom, so if I had just kept and bought I would have had about twice the amount. The risk reward makes sense to me as it is so inexpensive to buy and hold and I know it is a very clean shell. Many times I tried to place projects in it.
Thanks. I am not familiar with what "profile verified" actually means, so would appreciate it if you could elaborate on what it signifies.
I own 43,700 shares, and keep an eye on it. I have noticed the buying lately also, and it has not been just one time. The irony is that I was going to be able to put it into my account and then they failed to report just before that happened, so I just have the certificate, but if they start reporting and the price gets better perhaps I can actually trade it. I was one of the second tranche investors in this when it first went public as Holl Technologies at 1.75 per share. They messed up trying to do bio-fuels when they had a fantastic way to make chips using their nanotechnology (a kind of mortar and pestle system of grinding). That grinding technique allowed chip surfaces to be much smoother and thus more lines on each chip which was revolutionary. Whoever finally does something with the shell should try and find that on a shelf or in a drawer somewhere as it is still just as fine as before. Now we all know is just a great shell.
Still holding, patiently waiting.
Thanks
When do they need to file by? I ask this because perhaps the delay is because they are getting something done? The offer of just over 1000 shares was bought today which could be just someone who stumbled on something of interest, but perhaps it could mean something is coming? I would think the latter is more likely than someone just buys the offer out of the blue. Hope springs eternal, but also if buying continues to support this idea then it could get interesting soon?
Thanks, not surprising given the pandemic delays.
Chinese users of Zoom are gradually migrating to a Chinese version of the video-conferencing service after the country blocked the global version last week. Why it matters: Amid an intensifying battle over technology and trade between China and the US, Zoom has been added to a lengthy list of US internet service firms blocked in China. Blocking access to Zoom may improve growth opportunities for Chinese companies in the sector. I copy this here because if I had a shell this is the direction I would try to go. The entire landscape has changed so why not go where all the money is now flowing? I once tried to put a vaccine development company into the KRBF shell. It remains a private company. In retrospect that would have been prescient. In any case they say that difficulties present opportunities, so lets see if this management team can figure out what opportunities are out there.
American Bulls gave a maximum buy on this yesterday. By the time I got any it was already .02, but it sure looks like an interesting play with relatively new management and a good idea.
This looks even better than before since it is a more basic business. The more high tech a business is the more likely it is to become outdated. It sounds like the way they phrase things, the government will be happy to help them too. It also shows that just because one thing does not work out, this management intends to make something happen. That persistence is a very good sign. I have a better feeling now than I did before. Repeating what Livermore said "The big money is made in the waiting"....worth remembering. I have left so much money on the table because I left or sold too soon. It is much easier to pick something with massive potential than it is to be there when you turn out to be right, and even harder to let it run close to its full potential.
I sent an e-mail to Wai Lim Wong, and told him it would be helpful to have an update, and that he might benefit by following this board, and that there is value in supporting those who are his shareholders. The importance of upgrading the board it trades on and the value of having the price over 5 dollars was also mentioned. That was over a week ago, but no response. It is good that they updated the share structure, but this is likely just technical. Hopefully they will eventually hire a public relations person.
It says this is a site out of Hungary. One wonders who they are and how they reached such a pleasant conclusion. Is it possible to ask them?
Yes, that is what I have seen with the d also. It drops off. Now they are unlikely to have gone this far without something(s) to put in it. Also with such a thin float it will be easy to get the price over 5 dollars (out of penny stock definition territory), and move it to a better exchange which brings in more people, and allows certain brokerage houses to accept it in transfer, so that also seems like a probability.
That sounds right Big, and that is the best explanation, best fit for the situation here. Excellent.
That is creative thinking. Probably the reverse split is just delayed. I have not read the report, but from the quotes from it here it appears they are not making the situation clear. It is my belief that this is going to play out positively, and that the intent is to reverse split it, and put something in it. I am not sure what the rules are about accuracy in these reports, but perhaps they can amend it and then all is forgiven?. If that happens then the scenario of a misdirection followed by such a correction might be happening here? I have seen some things too, so now sound like the Farmer's Insurance ad. Games are played often, but Livermore's quote which I printed on this site applies, as the "money is made in the waiting". I have missed some pretty spectacular results giving up before thing unfolded.
"Throughout all my years of investing, I've found that the big money was never made in the buying or the selling. The big money was made in the waiting." - Jesse Livermore
Yes, I think you are right. Obviously one reason it might be late is they have something important to announce. I suspect that is more likely than a bust. Excessive dilution of our interest in the project is a more probable cause for concern, but if they are smart they will try and keep their shareholders happy. Even this board can help them if they are savvy enough to realize it.
