Totally agree Runners, the proverbial dream assay. Would be the gold standard-were it verifiably the real McCoy. Evidently a lot of doubt and doubters.
Street sweeper just rolled by. Stop losses not advisable IMO.
pastry-days of olde, there was a large contingent in the 6-7 figure club. KVS, myself et al. I kept my position in tact. Let’s see if it turns out to be like the Rolex that was forgotten in a safe deposit box when Nixon was getting busted.
Too much froth on this latte. Irrational buyers kicked in, tamp it down. There's tomorrow and Thursday and Friday.
Oily-we’re on the same page. Donnie’s denial devastated due to his downplay. Trillions of dollars, millions affected.
From Politico re reopening the US economy:
“Two former FDA commissioners, both with bipartisan credibility, are working with lawmakers on a framework to gradually restart the economy — as long as the country builds an ample testing and disease surveillance system to rapidly diagnose coronavirus, isolate infected people and effectively quarantine their close contacts.
Mark McClellan and Scott Gottlieb foresee a need for a vast expansion of the United States’ public health system that would require hiring and training thousands of new workers to bolster coronavirus surveillance. Their paper, exclusively obtained by POLITCO, also cautions that antibody testing is not a panacea to determine if individuals can return to the workplace; scientists need to learn more about the virus — and how much immunity people have once they’ve been infected.
“There is no time to lose,” they wrote. “Building these capabilities now will accelerate our ability to assure the public’s safety — the foundation for a sustainable and secure approach to reopening our communities.”
Appears to be so pastry. This was posted almost three weeks ago, during the earlier rinse cycle. Small fry, big fry-let’s see if we like the taste of deep fried whale.
pastry-now the total irony-if there is any veracity to Berman’s claim (a big if)-DECN should be bought by JnJ. If you can’t best ‘em, join ‘me.
loaner-more illumination from the illuminist. We can all rest assured through all these machinations,
Mr. Berman's reputation remains firmly in tact. How very reassuring for DECN shareholders-erstwhile that is.
pastry, KSV-imagine exploiting this situation to the financial advantage of a few. Unscrupulous, and it's deja vu all over again. At the least, stay safe and healthy, money can be recovered, just not through squirmin' Bermin. A Nobel-worthy candidate, right on pluto.
KVS-and you-nice to see you posting again. We of the seasoned gullible ilk are in familiar territory under most unfamiliar circumstance.
I left my position in tact from April 2016, thought twice about adding during the frothy hype up to last week. Ultimately declined on so doing-just so much deja vu up to that April Fools play Berman had us believing four years ago.
His record speaks for itself, it's incredible he would choose to exploit an urgent need of such magnitude. That said, the concept is spot on IMO, initial screening must ultimately take place at the scale of an individual's home before overcharging (and risking) remote testing procedures. Some legitimate company is going to score big on this.
And to think one of Berman's staunchest support actually invoke a Nobel Prize. Where does she get off?
Thank you Double, like old times-simpler, more comprehensible and now even nostalgic. If we were being had, at least it was under less duress than what we are all subjected to now. GLTY, stay safe.
Johnny_C-you called it. IP Watcher nailed it. To the wall.
It would/is difficult to believe Berman would knowingly deceive under the dire circumstances of this hundred year event under the guise of a humanitarian stitch-in-time. Hard to admit this is fake White Knight opportunism.
pastry! Nice to see you back and posting as you once did. Those of us from days of yore know how heavily invested you are here. I wish you well in this outcome, regardless of all the 'noise'...
This was a text-book Berman-based pump and dump. Note the conspicuous absence of 3-4 handles.
Whoever comes up with a validated in-home test-even as a preliminary screening method-will hit a home run. Authorities want to limit people converging on hospitals or clinics or making hot spots hotter.
Consumers would feel better about testing themselves in the protection of their Shelter in Place.
You got that right ysung. The DECN street sweeper will be out early tomorrow.
Berman has played the Pied Piper too many times to be believed. A new flock of sheep is getting shorn from their infatuation with DECN's potential.
UK testing impending.
15-minute home test kits for coronavirus will be made available to the British public within days, said a Public Health England (PHE) director.
Thousands of tests will be sold in chemists such as Boots or delivered by Amazon to people with symptoms who are self-isolating as soon as next week.
Professor Sharon Peacock, director of the national infection service at PHE, told MPs on the science and technology committee once the tests are cleared, they will be "distributed to the community".
Health secretary Matt Hancock said the UK government bought millions of the tests on Tuesday and is ordering millions more.
The antibody test involves pricking a finger and analysing a drop of blood in a device that looks like a pregnancy test. It will tell the person using it is they have, or had, Covid-19 and enable them to act accordingly.
Incredulous. Berman to the rescue at less than the cost of a pregnancy test. Hypsters-get real.
From The Intercept:
"The most effective responses to the pandemic thus far have involved very high levels of Covid-19 testing. South Korea’s case is the most notable. The country has conducted roughly 300,000 tests and is able to do 15,000 a day, while flattening its curve and managing to avoid the draconian lockdowns implemented by China that are now taking hold in Western Europe and some American cities. The World Health Organization’s director-general, Tedros Adhanom, underlined South Korea’s strategy on Monday. “Our key message is: test, test, test,” he said."
“ Limited testing has blinded Americans to the scale of the outbreak so far, impeding the nation’s ability to fight the virus through isolating the sick and their contacts, public-health officials say. As of early Wednesday, about 6,500 people in the U.S. had tested positive, data compiled by Johns Hopkins University show, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had reported only about 32,000 tests conducted at its facilities and other public health labs.”
message to Johnny_C: the irony of ironies if JnJ were to buy ole Berman out at 400-700 mio. Laugh till you cry.
“ Officials also announced they were giving nearly $1.3 million in federal money to two companies trying to develop rapid covid-19 tests that could determine whether a person is infected within an hour.”
Classic Keith, surely he knows testing kits are being developed and produced in record numbers and post haste by reputable “real” companies.
“Our product is timely, simple to use, cost effective and will be commercial ready in the summer of 2020.”
Go Berman go!
non-I appreciate your keeping the thread fully apprised-as you have done from days of yore with the full DECN cast-made, daryl, Mr. Sensi.
That said, it appears we still occupy a parallel universe to Berman and Gang. Ours of ten-fingered reality, theirs of staring at the stars while standing in the gutter.
Now that Berman's 'goalie' pluto has been pulled from the net in the final minutes of the third period, it's a wide open net to calling him out for all that he SAYS and NEVER does. Can any defense men vouch for a SINGLE event that came to fruition as uttered by THE GREAT ONE?
loan-a hand gesture of a specific gesture? Body language between two would-be partners. Berman's all foreplay...
"While we have been very successful with our GenUltimate! products".
What am I missing here? Trump world alternative reality strikes again.
Johnny_C-the David vs. Goliath was Berman's favorite metaphor, recall the arrogance of his floral description of how he was to bring JnJ down. The hype, never the product was the driving force to low 60s. And the hype is- as it always was-DOA.
loan-"and are entitled to"is the operative phrase here.
Presumptuous as it gets.
One can readily imagine Berman performing a spectacular belly-flop in a shallow pool of maple syrup.
Appreciate the clarifications loaner. No longer any 'proof please' request. Proof went poof.
Hopefull-I don’t see the proverbial handle listed under “bans”. Some year before you “invested” in this debacle, there was a prolific poster under the handle “made my fortune”. I have (loanranger?) always believed Barbara changed her handle to referenced now missing mod.
Her (Pluto) abdication suggests the curtain came down after the last act in the DECN soap opera and the wheels came off her soap box derby racer. She was the last and most persistent Bauble Boy defender. Something personal IMO.
I see we are absent one moderator whose job at DECN is now defunct.
After so many years, especially since April 2016, Berman has finally been borne down to Lincoln's adage:
"You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."
Toast.
zal-one must enter the building if they eventually expect to leave it.
Was Berman ever in the building? Was product ever on the shelves?
It takes but a few articulate and savvy posters to checkmate the made. She's dumbfounded with but one retort: provide proof DECN is a perpetual scam. Thank you IP and loanranger.
"Well here's the deal. I don't think you know squat about medical device packaging other than what you read on the Internet."
Well made, apparently you don't either. Consumers have evidently shied away from such a incompetently packaged product. Prove otherwise.
