I thought that 10 would hold, but with dilution or bad news, anything is possible.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the AS gets to 2.5 to 3 billion. We are going to see quite a bit of dilution in the upcoming months.
Still long.
Congrats to the longs. Looking at the charts, and the relatively low volume for the good news, it still has room to run. This was on my radar @ 35 cents, but my funds are stuck elsewhere. :( I'm sticking to my rule to not chase a stock, but this is definitely tempting.
VIPR Industries Inc. is authorized to issue 2,000,000,000 shares of common stock. As of February 17, 2010, there are 1,511,948,515 shares issued and outstanding.

Long term look of the chart is OK for now. We are seeing higher lows. Short term look at the chart is still bearish and highly volatile. Might see some 10's and 11's without any good news.

I think they are waiting until they get a second opinion on the last report, as well as a final decision on what direction they are going to take before we see a new PR. Maybe even additional land acquisition news. I think the PPS will rise a bit, but I don't think it will be a significant run with the next PR. It would have to be big news. No hurry here as I will be eyeing this closer towards summer after they finish the additional explorational drilling.

it can cost tens of thousands per day
For the most part, the FDA has been on time this year...
Until the submitter receives an order declaring a device SE, the submitter may not proceed to market the device. Once the device is determined to be SE, it can then be marketed in the U.S. The SE determination is usually made within 90 days and is made based on the information submitted by the submitter.

From where did you get, "VIPR raised exactly the right amount of cash to complete all exploration on the Singida Londoni concessions..."? Drilling can cost tens of thousands of dollars per day. The total cost will depend on how many times they will have to drill via RAB/DD/RC.
If they don't have a significant amount of cash left...
They will have to burn through cash for: the RAB/DD/RC drilling, additional drilling to better map target areas in the hot zone(s), obtain new PMLs for the future acquisitions and drilling in the new acquisition area(s). Also, possible RAB/DD/RC drilling in the new acquisition area if the soil proves to be challenging. Let's not forget the cost to process all of these samples plus possible re-evaluate the last samples taken. We will have a better idea of what their financial situation is after the 1Q10 financials are released.
Charts look bearish. I am looking at the 3 and 6 month charts. Also refer to CCI, and TRIX. They are all in a downward trend. Good news is that the Stoch is approaching the oversold territory. Bad news is that it is too early to tell if a possible reversal may be near.

A possibility. Charts look bearish. If they don't have a significant amount of cash left for further exploration and acquisitions, then it is a real possibility.
Just saw this.
I am not an insider or an employee. Just did some DD back in Jan/Feb 2009 and thought that this was an interesting opportunity. With the way that the market tanked last year, and my expectations that gold prices would continue to trend upward, a handful of gold mining companies are an interesting play for now.
I am not telling people to not contact the company. There have been quite a few good/excellent observations made on this board. From time to time I check this board to see if there are any more posts with good DD. My question is this, what is accomplished by asking questions without doing any DD or having any patience? Imagine having tens if not hundreds of the same questions flooding your email. Answers to questions like, "what is the current OS..." is on the website. They have put out as much information as they legally can in their PRs, and they are trying to keep investors up to date when events arise. DD can be done on their website, the various websites that have been provided by various posters, as well as the posted email responses. That is why it is there people. If you email them asking them when/what news is going to come, they aren't going to say "Wait til next Tuesday for an announcement where we have an estimate of ###### ounces of gold..." That is information that has not been made public yet, will affect the stock price, and is considered as insider-trading. If they say, results from a third-party are going to come in an estimated 4-6 weeks, why would (some) people start to email them after 3.5 weeks asking if everything is on schedule?
It is OK to be excited, but investors should temper anticipation a bit. Otherwise, frustration sets in the way it did last week when personal expectations for the company are not met. Why would any company buy out VIPR for $12/share, without even knowing how much they have in assets? In many cases, larger mining companies will let junior mining companies do the exploration first, before any buy-outs occur. That is more cost efficient for the larger mining companies. We all want to be rich. I would love to quit my job tomorrow, but those investment opportunities are very, very rare. When expectations aren't meant we see the 'scam', 'these guys are idiots', etc posts. My expectation is pretty simple. I want to see the management continue to progress with a plan until we see a 43-101. After that, anything can happen. Keep in mind, production can be very costly.
I observe quite a few boards, but don't respond to any on IHUB. They are the boards of the companies in which I have invested in, are on my radar to invest in, or the boards where people manage to perform a lot of DD and care to share with others. I have observed this board since late 2009, but chose not to post. Just a handful of posts drove me to finally say something.
These are the rules I have read/learned and chose to follow:
-Do not invest money you can't afford to lose
-Do not fall in love with any stock
-Bulls and Bears profit, Hogs get slaughtered
-Do not invest blindly or in a company with management team that lacks focus
-If it's too good to be true, it probably is
GLTA
Not sure about that. DMI, MACD, Stoch, CCI, TRIX all look bearish.

nevermind
They are worried about progression with their mining plan as opposed to those investors who are trying to get rich quick. Is it is a good plan? Time will tell. They have been straight forward and, as many have said in the past few weeks, are sticking to what they have stated in PRs. Realize you have invested in a start-up mining company with limited cash. It takes millions to perform the necessary exploration. It takes millions more to reach production. It takes many years to go from discovering a site, to actual production if they do it at all. Bottom line is that many more samples are needed before they can complete a 43-101 to indicate how much gold they have. Some time after that will be a resource report to figure out how much can actually be mined. Perhaps a year or so after that is production.
I have no problems with them at this time as I realized what I was in for when I first decided to invest in them a year ago.
Good luck to all longs.
This sums up my POV except we need to see the financials first to see where they are at with cash.
Share structure is drastically different.
Even in their Dec 10th PR, unexpected delays came about. They have had a couple of delays over the past year. As the saying goes, there are only 2 things are guaranteed in life... An increase in excitement is good, but to a point. It should be tempered. If investors are contacting the company every day b/c they can't be patient like those who have been with this stock for a long time, that is bad. I have seen this with the biopharma stocks. Newbie investors looking to get rich quick are swift to scream 'scam' if things don't happen right away.
I agree, in an email conversation I had with Mr. Barbeck early last year, I found him to be straight-foward and responsive towards my 2 cents.
Bottom line, patience people. News will happen when it happens. Checking the stock every five seconds will only drive you crazy. Just keep an eye on the newswire in the upcoming weeks.
Again, their last PR said that the report should be finished within 4-6 weeks (of 2/16). They will have to evaluate the results and make decisions from there. That will take some time especially if they have to consult lawyers, JICL, etc for further action. There is no set date yet (ie. a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, ect). Investors should be prepared to wait up to until early April to hear anything. If March 31st comes and goes without a PR, I'm pretty sure most here will be panicking unnecessarily from reading these posts.
Due to market and economic conditions, the company submitted a revised offer to purchase a further interest in the property.
Subsequently the Company’s revised offer was refused by the property owner and the Company’s percentage ownership reverted to approximately 2.5%

The market is driven by speculation, not necessarily what is currently happening with a company. See Ford's stock last year as well as the major Vegas stocks (LVS, MGM,etc).
This should be stickied b/c I know ppl are going to be emailing them every day asking the same question.
Exactly.
They are not going to announce anything until they are ready, so I don't see what the point would be. If they were to leak inside information, they would run into serious problems with the SEC.
They have said that, "The analysis and drafting of a report is estimated to take between 4 to 6 weeks for completion." That means that it will be (approx) 4-6 weeks from 2/16/10 until a final report reaches their "hands". So you will have to figure that they will need a few days to evaluate the information and then generate a press release. That means that investors must be prepared to wait anywhere from 4-7+ weeks from 2/16/10 for a press release.
Keep your eye on the newswire and relax a bit. I've been waiting since early '09 for this news, and I'm sure there are plenty others who have waited much longer. A couple of more weeks won't hurt.
Why?
They have already said the financials are due at the end of the month and they will update us with the results of the pitting/trenching as soon as they have received/processed the information.
