Your enthusiasm is contagious, Weedie. I was waiting for a dip but went ahead and bought 5k more at the open the morning. Yah-hoo!
I'm buying any dip and riding the "white candles" up.
Any dilution or pullback will mean I'll be buying more. And I am quite sure that I'm not the only one ready to pull the buy trigger on a price drop. This is the most likely reason the Sp is holding up so well.
Any PR and I'll be riding the SP higher with what I have.
Meanwhile, I can wait in the $1.60 to $1.80 range
The breakthrough will come, and NNVC has a pretty good chance of being part of it.
I sent SA a letter.

To the editors of Scientific American;

A better Nanotech story?
I read with interest your story "Thinking on the Envelope: Finding a Medical "Silver Bullet" to Disable Many of the World's Deadliest Viruses". I have been following the development of another way to attack some of the world's deadliest viruses, and would like to bring this approach to your attention. Through some early animal trials and most recently the subject of experiments on the Dengue virus at UC-Berkeley, a little company called Nanoviricides has so far shown much promise. There seems to be much optimism given the early stage of development.
The more attention we can bring to these innovative approaches to disabling viruses, the sooner the breakthrough will come.
Regards,
The reason I posted the Scientific American article was to stimulate discussion about pro and con vis-a-vis NNVC. I think the NNVC story is stronger than the story in S.A.
I'm going to give S.A. that message, and ask them to follow-up with NNVC! Maybe some of you could the same.
Thanks Nano. Some of this is well over my head! I think the point of the SA article was that success in the cell culture is just a good first step.
Thinking on the Envelope: Finding a Medical "Silver Bullet" to Disable Many of the World's Deadliest Viruses
A series of promising compounds can cripple all enveloped viruses' ability to invade cells as well as circumvent any resistance that hobbles traditional antiviral drugs. But will they work outside the lab?

where did you read that Doctor?
A beautiful day in St. Louis. Perfect for a major PR!
If only we could predict the next "long white candle", then the trading strategy would be perfect. Since we can't, might as well stay long.
$1.73...Another 52-week high
I'm ready for the PR everyone's waiting for. With no news, how hi is up?
400 at 1.74...new close?
I show 1.72 bid and ask
still sitting with same bid and ask 5 min later
very narrow range today....I like it. The $1.70 level seems to be holdong pretty well.
I agree. Knowing NET SHORT POSITION by day is what we really need. The short sales number by itself does give an indicator of "action" on the stock. Changes in Net Short Position would tell us what the true speculators think the short term trend in share price will be.
But what the heck, I'm just going to stay long.
I'm going to the gym. Does that count?
But seriously, any thoughts on why the MM's would need so many shorts? Or is it the MM's? How does the 35-40% short on NNVC compare to other stocks that are more established?
The analysis of the short positions is interesting, but a PR makes any predictions based on them shaky at best.
I am surprised that so much of the trading involves short sales. Is this typical of small bio-tech/nano-tech start-ups? How does it compare to better established stocks?
Listening to all you Kool-Aid drinkers is keeping me long. Somebody must know something or we would have seen some pullback by now.
I was wondering where I saw it!
A good day today all around, with NNVC up on no news, plus a big gain on ARWR.
Did anyone else see the breakthrough by Arrowhead Research, Published in Nature on-line yesterday? Stock rose 92% today, and there is a big conference call after the close tomorrow.

Ticker ARWR
Dr. F: Is this good/bad/???
All this volume with no news MUST mean positive whispering. The short sales can't be driving up the price.
I too am staying fully long. I almost pulled the trigger on 20% of my shares today to take profit...hope it was the right decision
Another wild day for NNVC.
Anyone know the status of short sales? Is this rally a lot of short covering? Any way to tell?
I have been trying to leave the house for 40 minutes...but I just had to watch this.
This is fun.
what is the heck is this all about? Just got home from working outside.....HOORAY!
I'm not sure how my last post violated the rules. Isn't a discussion of Trading strategy relevant?
The posts by Ovidius make a lot of sense if you look at the daily price charts. In the past 6 months there have been 4 spikes, followed by price drops of somewhat varied severity and varied length.
The August spike was $1.09, followed by a low of $.41
October was $.91, dropping to $.81
January - $1.27, dropping to $.90
February - $1.38, dropping to $1.17 (so far)
It seems reasonable to expect about a $1.00 price given past performance....but here's the kicker. How would you know when to buy back in? The spikes occur very quickly and would be easy to miss. For me, there is enough of an underlying uptrend (higher highs and higher lows) to stay long.
So this is really no different than Washington, DC...lots of BS.
Seriously, though, the strategy of trading based on past performance is quite popular. On most stocks, I find I miss as many turns as I call, so I don't use the strategy much. NNVC does, however, show a fairly consistent pattern of quick gains and slower decay, with a slow up trend underneath.
Both "buy and hold" and "calling the turns" are legitimate in my view. Moreover, free exchange of opinion is paramount!
I for one enjoy reading ALL the posts about NNVC. That's what this message board is for. So keep the opinions and analysis flowing!
You and your detracters simply have different trading strategies. One sees patterns in the trading ranges and the other sees promise in the company pipeline. In this case it may well be that both of you are correct. Since I can't predict the next PR, I keep a fairly sizeable base position. But when things get overbought, I will occasionally sell some and wait for a pullback. Over time, my position has increased, but my investment has not.
The passion on both sides of this makes for interesting reading.
I'm in for the long run. Wondering when to buy more.
I've monitored this board for a couple of years. Now that I'm getting a fair number of shares I thought I'd chime in.
I appreciate your viewpoint and your "chartology".
I am concerned, however, by the number of trials and tests announced over the past couple years that have had no follow-up announcements. What happened with the proposed topical eye cream? There was some success in cell culture studies for herpes, flu, and several others but nothing since.
I like your scenario.
I'll be happy, however, if the tests just start moving along a little faster. What happened to all the tests started over the last 2 years?
It seems fairly clear that the company will need operating funds within the next 12-18 months, if not sooner. This filing makes it possible to issue stock as a means to secure the funding.
Over the next 3 years, roughly 25% dilution is possible. I hope the company does need this money to move testing along.
New To Ihub, fan of NNVC for several years. Love to see it hold on low volume!
