Google news can only enhance ATNPD's credibility: http://www.androidguys.com/2010/04/16/google-tv-coming-set-top/
All the recent excellent news and I suspect additional news this week will bring this stock back to good shape. Soon we should hear about the status of the current and new contracts. Numbers will be flying on L2.
ATNPD continues receiving a lot of attention. It is now the 2nd most searched stock on BoardCentral as of 4:00 AM (up 2700%) and currently the 7th most discussed on SHO. Maybe a gap up this morning and a strong run till Friday.
ATNPD is 9th most searched stock on BoardCentral and the 3rd most talked about stock on SHO. Interest and momentum is increasing.
Why GOTV will be big:
From The Washington Post (April 18,2010,page E3)
For cutting-edge TV, look to the Web It's not on cable: The remote control gives way to the mouse

The International Academy of Web Television revealed its selections last week for the best original online programming at the Streamy Awards in Los Angeles. Nearly 200 shows were nominated for 35 categories on the live-streamed show, which ran about as long as the Oscars -- remarkable when one considers that a typical Web series can be watched like LensCrafters, from start to finish in about an hour.
There was even a very geeky cause-du-jour -- white ribbons on lapels worn in support of "net neutrality." Save the Internet!
Over-ambitious, much? Maybe. After all, only the highest echelon of Web television producers can make full-time livings off of their content. The Streamys ceremony included one woeful segment in which passersby were asked to name their favorite Web series, and most everyone responded with blank stares.
But those looking to escape down the rabbit hole of online television have no shortage of watchable stuff. Try "Easy to Assemble," in which toothy Illeana Douglas and Justine Bateman play underemployed actresses who decide to abandon the Hollywood grind for jobs at Ikea. (Guest stars include "Glee's" Jane Lynch doing an appalling Swedish accent.) Try "Web Therapy," in which Lisa Kudrow plays the world's most self-absorbed shrink, dispensing wretched online advice. In "Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis," the hairy guy from "The Hangover" bumbles through excruciating celebrity interviews -- feel free to skip to the episode where Charlize Theron calls him a "fat garden gnome."
Since the inaugural Streamys last year, "Major studios are investing more time and energy into this space," says Liz Shannon Miller, a critic for NewTeeVee.com, which covers the Web television industry and which co-hosted the awards. "And individuals are investing the time and energy necessary to compete with bigger players." Mainstream corporations that have Web-only divisions include Sony, the WB and NBC.
"The number of deals we're doing is definitely growing," says George Ruiz, director of new media at the talent agency International Creative Management. Ruiz specializes in clients whose careers exist primarily online, including "The Guild" creator Felicia Day -- the Cinderella of Web television whose show is bankrolled by Microsoft -- and Kevin Pollak, a film actor ("The Usual Suspects") who has moved to the Web to host "Kevin Pollak's Chat Show."
Whereas the early wisdom of Web series was that no-names would use them to achieve mainstream fame, now it's equally common to find recognizable faces using the Web as a playground for creative experimentation.
"Web video is the new Sundance," Day says. "You can tell stories that wouldn't necessarily be sold right away -- stories that are much more personal." Niche is king -- it's difficult to imagine a show about nerdy online gamers succeeding on television, which is where Day originally envisioned "The Guild."
On traditional television, "There's a huge lag time between the content you envision and when that content is actually available," says Pollak, who recently launched an online comedy about a dumpy vampire trying to find work in a culture obsessed with the chiseled undead of "Twilight." But Web series can be posted immediately, without endless test audiences or muddling execs.
A lot of it is bad -- real bad -- but that's true of regular TV, too (Have you seen "Cougar Town" lately?). A more apt observation might be that it's still searching for an identity. The current state of Web TV reminds Pollak "of those early days of HBO, where literally half their programming was some bizarre shot of three women in leotards doing exercises."
Then came "Six Feet Under," "Sex and the City," and "The Sopranos." It's unclear what future viewers will view as the Web's magnum opuses. Still, "There's no question," Pollack says, "that the promise and the potential is just as grand here."
Says Bateman, the former "Family Ties" actress who recently testified before Congress in support of net neutrality and keeping the Internet unregulated: "I think this is the most exciting time to be in entertainment since the development of movies. . . .
"Don't make the Internet the place where you dump your worst work. Make it the place where you showcase your best."

I believe you are missing the point that Golden Cross is a defined technical indicator which hopefully will occur sometime next week. While the level of the 200 day moving average is influenced by stock prices on days outside of 200 days, by definition it is the date of the cross over. You seem to want to redefine this indicator because of some occurrence which rightly or not is part of the KATX moving average. Every stock has aberrations which like in the case of KATX have been part of determining the MA. But for every stock the Golden Cross has one meaning which is the positive crossover in this case 50 over 200. If we do not use common language there is no discourse.
Somehow I am missing your point. In any stock there are daily variations. For that reason 200 days is understood to be an average which smooths out such variations. It is an agreed on standard. To put an asterisk on the KATX average because of a trading day outside of it makes meaningless the notion we can use a common language to assess the volatility of stocks. I'm sure almost all stocks have had days when a closing is so out of order that its influence is manifest on the 200 day average. Hence all stocks could have an asterisk. However, this makes discussion meaningless. 200 days is what it is.
A recent example of a Golden Cross was SIXFQ earlier this week. As can been seen the pps advanced for several days but lacking volume and maybe for other reasons the advance was not sustained:

From what I understand the golden cross is one of the most reliable bullish indicators, especially with the 50 day moving average crossing the 200 day, and its impact is increased by an accompanying indicator of increasing volume. It is favored by both long term and short term stock investors. A succinct presentation:

So sad that one cannot post a comment on the KATX board asking that we take a wider perspective in viewing the stock and supporting it in other ways. This board apparently is being manipulated -- dangerous. The CEO is transparent and I suspect would wish that those associated with this board would be open to honest discussion.
Like your point of view -- it is 360. Thanks.

Splash59, please explain the meaning you are giving to the word "bi-polar?" I understand it in terms of psychiatric nomenclature? What is your definition?
I do not seek out negative information about KATX, but when it found there is no denying the reality of it.
stokes1, another example of how the stock is perceived outside of iHub is Stock Technical Analysis where the word Bearish is beginning to predominate and .06 is the predominate point of resistance.

Look at the "Snap Opinion"; it is only 8% Buy and rapidly declining. Was 40% yesterday and 72% last week:
http://barchart.com/snapopinion/KATX
Look at "Detailed Opinion"; short term is 40% sell and medium 25% buy with overall 8% buy.
http://www.barchart.com/opinions/KATX
Would this encourage you to buy into Katx?
I'm heavily invested in KATX and have never sold a share, but I think this Board gives a false sense of reality. Do a Google news search and you will find numerous statements that this stock could easily and quickly go down significantly if there is not some way to increase the volume.
Not nathanial or duelittle, but here is a chart. I don't believe most on this board appreciate my charts or comments, but nevertheless here it is. In my opinion the indicators are increasingly negative and the Golden Cross seems more distant. We badly need volume, but the chart does not encourage investors to purchase the stock. The secondary impact is that sites based on chart indicators such as BarCharts, Stockta, etc. are no longer seeing KATX as a "Buy". The DD on this board is impressive but in my opinion not persuasive to a potential buyer. We are more or less speaking to the choir.
We need strong buy in based on substantial news.

Agreed, I believe that they are pushing the commercial/public access aspects of the product. It is an underlying message which seems to be placed in a number of the PRs. I wonder if the nature of the global contracts (for which I believe we will be updated soon) isn't commercially oriented?

Surprised there is no KATX support on Pinnacle Digest. We badly need volume and one way is to inform others of this great company and its stock. Please consider visiting and posting:

KATX on 4-15-10 watch list. This should increase the volume of trading as many follow this list (there were 635 people viewing it as I was at 1:10 AM). Will bring a lot of attention to KATX for the next few days.

The market is so huge it doesn't matter. All boats will float and ATNPD has an early cast-off. Also, I sense, although ATNPD has not stated it, that ATNPD is trying to niche with commercial applications in hotels, bars and public places. I think the Brannon Caribbean contract is an example. We are not privy to the global contracts which are being signed, but I wonder if there is a commercial aspect to them.
Add the GO V Phone and there is a distinct advantage for ATNPD.
Don't you think that somewhere along the line GOTV will be bought out at a good price?

Nice convincing statement. Just posted this link together with ATNPD symbol on SHO.
He might have said this? However, it seems that there is definitely a global thrust to the signed contract PR'd so far including those of the Netherlands as well as the important Caribbean contract with Brannon Enterprises.
It is to be Internet Telephony, but I do not see that the April edition has been distributed as of yet.
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Atlantis-Technology-Group-Subsidiary-Global-Online-Television-Corporation-Announces-1135369.htm
Don't recall a recent PR about the Netherlands contract. Only those from about one month ago. I believe they are very important and need repeating. More contract info should be forthcoming including not only those with countries, but also those with corporations and other entities.

I suspect that the news was anticipated. Look for additional news over the next week or so about sales, new contracts, and advertising campaigns.
