Ha! Wow! Seriously??? That's it?!?!?!?!
Be strong there's a change in direction, a positive change, that we are not at liberty to tell you about at this time and by the way, I'm having health challenges so as of right now I quit?!?!?
that was Greg Cornley's brief, but extremely important message.
wow.
Hahaha! thanks for the laughs.
hahahaha! Good idea!
I haven't seen anyone posting any updates regarding the weekly calls. Are they actually still doing them, in light of all the additional indictments? Doesn't seem like a prudent move, hahaha! Just curious
huh.
I got an email from Teddi stating that they are going to be having a weekly Thursday call again.
what's up with that?
also....
The merger never happened.
Me too!
It's really awful the way they took advantage of people.
My thought, uneducated and uninformed as I consider myself, was that the old "shareholders" would be told tough luck, as we already have been since the shares have been called null and void, worthless, illegal, etc. Pretty much I consider all of those monies gone.
I guess I was trying to figure out a way to see how Bravo and Pooper could be so firm in their stance that it is moving forward and will trade. But the only way I can come up with as a possibility is if they clear the game board and start over from scratch. I mean square one, with raising funds, looking for new investors, doing the IPO, etc. Of course, only by following the regulations to a "t". But yeah, Petro's got such a bad rep at this point, I just don't see how it could possibly succeed. No one would want to invest. I certainly would not give them any more money.
I just was trying to figure out how anyone, at this point, could possibly still be holding out for any return at all. I thought maybe I was having tunnel vision.
You know, just to play devil's advocate here, I suppose there is a chance that Petro could trade....
But, only if they completely start over with brand new and legally born and registered shares. Those fake ones that Owen printed up at his house that we were duped into buying... um, no, that ship has sailed. Ahem,I mean sunk. Those will never be tradeable. The only way people will actually be able to become real Petro shareholders is to actually buy new legal shares.
Maybe people like Bravo are right and it is moving forward. Unfortunately, not with those old "shares".
Wait, was he the one that said he got his info from his cousin or someone he knew at the SEC? LOL!
Godfather8,
I listened to the call too and he did indeed say that. In fact, right after I got off the call I posted about that very thing!
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=61332764
Just curious why you keep posting the same stuff over and over again.
Well,
That was exciting.
six minutes of the same old, same old
It's gonna take at least a few months. maybe longer. maybe double that.
gonna start on the pink sheets
working very hard
uh huh.
I can totally see how someone could be confused! What a mess!
oh my gosh! I knew this was a scam, but I think it just now sunk in how bad of a scam it was! Basically, everyone who bought "church shares" did not buy real shares. They just gave Owen their money. The church "shares" are not associated with any exchanges at all, are they? They are not really even shares, huh? Suddenly I understand why these so-called shares will never trade. Because they were never shares. There is no chance that what they bought will ever give a return of investment. ever.
Really, then, the 'company' called Petro America, is in no way related to PTRZ/ASWD and now, I'm really wondering how a Petro America board even belongs here on Investor's Hub. How can they say there are shareholders? What the heck are the auditors auditing?
This is really disgusting.
If I understand correctly, doesn't PTRZ or whatever it's really called owe a boatload of taxes and fees? Isn't the deadline coming up pretty soon?
Do you think that the same thing that happened to WTAI will happen to PTRZ?
just decided to delete it myself
Being an adjunct professor is not as big of a deal as they are making it out to be:
They are typically part-time non-salaried, non-tenure track faculty members who are paid for each class they teach. This position does not always require a completed PhD.
Basically, Oprah, or the like could go and teach a class at this college and also be called an adjunct professor. Big deal.
Well, I believe it was in November or December. After the Feds stepped in. So it was within the last 3 months. They were asking for money to help defend "our company and its founder" :: koff :: This was when he was supposedly trying to get his defense team together.
It's the same people. Just a different label slapped on it.
I am a shareholder and I HAVE been asked for money. What about the email just recently requesting donations for the Legal Defense Fund. THAT was Petro asking for money. And it wasn't the first time.
Seriously?
I have to go back to my rocket science days and talk about the visible spectrum and how the gas molecules in the atmosphere make it look more blue than red?
really?
and p.s. you just proved Reddog correct that people would say the sky isn't blue...
:: eye roll ::
no, that is incorrect because, we have plenty of proof that the sky is blue.
The point is, MOST of the stuff that company says, they cannot prove. In fact there is plenty of proof that what they are saying is false.
I agree with 1manband
That RSA secureID thing is a keychain size little fob with a screen that flashes random numbers every 60 seconds or so. I used to work for an insurance company that used those to give workers access to their VPN. It is not a stock market thing. ANYONE with a private network can choose to use those for added security because the access code changes randomly every minute.
That thing is NOT a trading key. It's basically a keychain with a numeric passcode flashing on it's screen that changes.
Also, even if he did get access to someone's network using this thing, it can be disabled at any time by the owner of that network.
This is what it looks like.

You know, I do not believe that "Lambs" is appropriate in this case. The people that you are calling lambs are not blindly following along like some dumb sheep. They are trying their darndest to get real information about a topic that has a rather unsavory history. In science a hypothesis is tested in many, many different ways to find a strong working theory. They do not test it the same way 18 million times to get the same result and say it's truth.
I know there's been a lot of back and forth about whether petro is a scam or not. However, I can see how your so called "Lambs" would and should be skeptical. The "believers" are following a single source. The naysayer "Lambs" are inquiring with many. In this arena, legit business would be shown and proven as legit, not just from the source, but also with the many governing bodies that they Must, whether public or private, report to.
Honestly, I would love it if I could get a return on my investment. Unfortunately there are so many other sources that are showing this to be a scam. Once a scientist proves a method as faulty, they do not keep trying the same way to make it work. That is insanity according to Einstein. I'm reading these updates and it sounds like the same old. You better confirm so we can send it to the T/A. We're doing an Audit. We're gonna issue these Electronically... With a trial pending and petro's assets frozen, how can they say they are moving forward?
I thought that once a company or it's assets were put under investigation or became part of a case like that, that they were forbidden to do such a thing. I thought that they would have to pursue a whole new corporation, tax id, etc and basically start at square one to try to go through this process again and that basically every thing they built would pretty much have to be torn down because, with all that stuff pending isn't it sort of equated with a building that's been condemned?
I'm seriously confused about how they can move forward with the pending case. I am honestly asking with no sarcasm, how can this be?
curious..
Hey,
that reminds me. Does anyone know if they were busted as a part of that huge sting that the feds did called "Operation Broken Trust"? I can't find an arrest list anywhere, but that went on right around the same time that Owen got busted, I think. It would certainly fit right in!
http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2010/december/fraud_120610/fraud_120610
come on.
This is yet another example of people bickering back and forth about something that really doesn't matter and will Not change the situation as it stands.
Um Mike,
Hello. The past is what got us to now with these clowns.
* face palm *
it's definitely ridiculous!
Obviously it still works.
I would like to know how many um, darn, times they have to confirm that info. They have been doing that for over 2 years now. They did it again just a few months ago, before the you-know-what hit the fan with Owen.
I got a confirmatory email a few months ago, and I am not doing it again. I know they have my info and it's correct. It's just the same old, same old.
um,
no. this has nothing to do with the time it takes for Petro to get things done. This is me having a REALITY CHECK.
In regards to paying 50 bucks to start a company, I was being sarcastic and basically saying that this company, the validity of which you all keep arguing back and forth about, is a moot point because anyone could pay their money and make a company on paper and tell people whatever they want about how much it's worth.
And please stop referring me to Petro's sham of an offer to return the money. It's crap and you know it. No matter what "Petro" has said, they are no longer at the helm of this shipwreck. The government is. Whether you like/ believe it or not, the government is trying to get the names of all of the "shareholders" so that whatever assets they have seized, once all of the legal and other fees have been paid, can be doled out to those who were ripped off. I believe the "return" on your Petro investment will be pennies on the dollar if you read what they have said. Not the dollars on the pennies that Petro promised.
Thank you for your input, but, respectfully, I'm less inclined to take your input, as a petro believer, to heart. I hope you understand.
Thank you for that information Pryme. I really appreciate your explanation.
:)
Ok
See that was my impression of what was going on. That pretty much none of us, whether we consider ourselves shareholders or victims really have no stake in this company any longer. At this point, I really see no reason to even care if this company can move on from what's already happened because, my motive, the possible return that I was hoping to get from these "shares", is not going to happen.
Now about the only thing left that's interesting to follow of this debacle is what happens to OH and the gang from this point.
The "dream" really is over, isn't it?
Ok possibly, but I can think of no precedent where the CEO was put in jail and prosecuted for selling said unregistered shares and it turning around. Possibly if Owen had decided, mid process to follow the rules, or right after the first cease and desist order, stopped in his tracks. Registered appropriately. Issued Legal and Valid and not printed in your backroom certificates, with all reports, and audits filed in a timely and expeditious manner, I could see that being a possibility. But, Red, this guy has been avoiding fulfilling these requests for almost 3 years. I can't see how this situation could work out without being totally demo'd and starting fresh with a brand new concrete slab. I honestly don't see how this situation can possibly be salvaged from the absolute arsed up shambles that it is right now.
no.
They ARE worthless. They Never had value. That is the point. And I am sick of the going back and forth with you guys. You are all going on some faith thing and have no idea what you are talking about.
p.s. I'm sorry, no offense but I was not looking for a response from one of the petro believers. I was looking for a response from someone that knows how this stuff works. Not someone who hopes what they were told might work out. I apologize for sounding like a jerk, but, I've really heard enough from Petro. That "company" is the epitome of how NOT to do it, and nothing that any of them or the supporters say holds water with me. For some reason, this company perpetuates the incorrect perception that rules do not apply to them and I have just had enough. There are rules. Just like physics has laws that define how things work. I am looking to be informed about how things like this are set up to operate. Not how Petro believes it should work for their selfish needs.
Again, I apologize for my rather rude and harsh stance, but, I've just had it.
Did you find some magical way to override the voiding of the already fake shares?
Ok,
I hear what some are saying about the company moving forward and all of that. I have to keep wondering something though. Those that believe in the company and feel that it's moving forward, I'm wondering, are you just being hopeful for the sake of hoping a company can succeed?
The reason I'm asking is, I can't think of any pay off that there would be to hope for this company anymore. I mean, before, we were hoping this would happen because we had a stake in it, or at least we thought we did. However, now that the Fed has declared our so-called shares as worthless, I don't understand the interest in a company pulling out of the hole that Owen put it in.
I mean seriously. Who cares? Ok, so it's a company. I can pay 50 bucks and make a company myself through Legalzoom or one of those websites. BFD. You guys are bickering back and forth about something that really doesn't matter. Who cares if it's a company? The reason I was rooting for it before is gone. I am not going to get my money back. My mom is not going to get her money back. Unless I've missed something. If the cheesy air quote, un quote company, gets on the right track and ends up going public and to trade, for any one of us to make any money off the really miniscule chance for them to make a profit on the market, wouldn't we have to RE-buy REAL shares, that were really registered?
Because seriously, I'm scratching my head here. Unless I missed something. We aint got squat in this "company" anymore.
Did I miss something? I'm directing my questions at the professionals here. ND? Harley? FFF? 1man?
Wow, there's no conflict of interest there at all.........
I hear what you are saying.
But, in the American court system, unfortunately, it's not really about who is truly guilty or innocent. It's about who can make the stronger and more persuasive case. If the jury is educated and not emotionally swayed, and truly interested in what the facts are, there's a better chance that a truer verdict will be reached. If they are not better educated and only more interested in who is more emotionally appealing then, whichever side tugs harder on their little heartstrings will get their vote.
The truth is, the Federal government has already found a heck of a lot of dirt on these people, and these people, no matter how many times they have been very nicely asked, have not been able to provide a scrap of proof that what they are doing is on the up and up.
So, in a sense, this innocent until proven guilty stuff is really kind of moot. There are 81 plus 39 pages proving he's guilty. Let's see if he can come up with some good excuses or some concrete proof of this "shareholder value" he's been building. I hope they pick a smart jury that has LOTS of common sense.
Did they say who he wanted to hire as an attorney? They weren't thinking of hiring the same guy that just took over as CEO were they?
I was more suspicious though because he was denied a new attorney and had to stick with the old one, and yet they still want $ for a legal defense fund.
Maybe I just need to take a step back and think about it all. My brain is just a bit overloaded right now.
As always I do appreciate the info. :)
Thanks for posting that Pooper,
I'm kind of shocked. As an attorney, you would think he should understand that, from a legal standpoint, sending an email like that is not a good idea. It makes me even more skeptical and suspicious of what's going on over there.
On top of that, I just can't fathom why people think it's ok that, the guy that has been arrested for "allegedly" stealing a LOT of money from this company, and, at the insistence of the court, No Longer Works There, and he had his buddy step in to take over, and had him ask for the people that he "allegedly" stole from, to give even more on top of what he "allegedly" stole from them to help pay for his legal fees. What kind of upside down world is this?
