Doc, you scare me. After reading your posts I want to dump it all, seriously :) When you do it, tell me, I'll follow your lead.
Let's wait till the company starts using its $2M for buy-back. i don't think $100K will stand in its way.
It's 12:00 pm and we have nearly 100K volume. I think 142K is not a big deal, especially when company starts bying again.
I wonder if buyout or merger happens before R/S. Because even when Coats buys back another 2.5M of common stock, it's not gonna be enough to push it over $1.
I wouldn't put to much into ABTL's final seconds close as it usually does not represent reality. It may close 2 cents above or below market price and yet the very next day it goes back up or down to FMV.
Hopefully we can take .80 tomorrow.
We need strong finish. Let's close at .80 or above and continue tomorrow.
There is no need to keep $10M put on the balance sheet. Money must work. I cheer today's news and hope this will help us to avoid dreaded R/S.
It feels like a) all the way. I have a feeling ABTL will only get noticed when it's bougth out at a premium of 50-70%. :)
This is positive development any way you slice it. Looks like Coats is pissed at the SP level and wants to take full advantage of the situation. O/S will go down and EPS will go up. Let's see how market reacts.
I wonder if it's positive or negative event. Who bought, who sold? Too many questions...
I missed today's morning activity. What's up with 2M volume already? What's going on?
Afterhours... facepalm... I give up.
I didn't write him. Like I said my patience is wearing thin and I'm waiting for a spike, which will happen sooner or later. Coats is not a baby to tell him what to do. I beleive he knows the effect of his moving expenses and Board's pay on the company's performance. So why bother. If he at least sells the company in the vicinity of 1.50 - 2.00 per share I'd forgive him everything. But right now ABTL looks like a dead stock.
I don't understand. There is a purchase @ .7491 of ~7000 shares and yet someone right away puts sell order of 100 shares @ .73. I wish any shorts in this stock to be burned badly!
Can't blame him. He's actually smart to get rid of dead weight. I'm just waiting for a spike to dump it all. Let Coats continue robbing company. I have no interest in being on board in that case.
Secretary bought astounding $1475 worth of shares!! Now we go up!! :)
Well done, doc. Let them know our (shareholders) patience is wearing thin.
Yeah, I read it on yahoo boards. Completely agree with that assessment of Board's compensation. Also Coats's salary should not exceed 400K when all his company makes is $3M a year. That goes for other executives too.
Interesting note from Roth analyst regarding advertising revenue:
Doc, what do you think about ABTL declaring dividends? I mean nothing is working in terms of SP rise, but the company itself is cash flow positive. Why won't Coats at least ease the pain for current shareholders through 0.03 - 0.05 dividend per share?
I'll probably hold till the company is sold. I can't envision them selling the company anywhere below $1 per share.
Coats mentioned the company repurchased ~600K of its stock. That leaves him with ~$1M for buy-back. I hope he uses it all and soon. There must be a rebound soon. Must be.
I agree with geronimo on this one. Before doing aquisitions Coats should buy back 2-3M$ of his own stock. That would improve EPS by itself and make the company more valuable. There is no need to accumulate those millions in cash on balanse sheet when SP is tanking.
It's encouraging to see Coats venting out instead of biting the bullet. Now all I ask from him is to put his money where his mouse is. Just do it, Coats!
That's good that they will be looking for a buyer. The question is what use it will be to us when they find him and the SP is at .50 Even with 100% premium they'd have to sell the company at $1 which is ridiculous.
Coats must come up with some magic to bring SP to 1.50-2.00 and THEN entertain idea of selling it. Few magic tricks: 1) grab some 500,000 shares while SP is at the 52WK low; 2)Lower overhead through your and other executives salaries; 3)Increase advertising revenue; and let's see what happens.
I'm barely holding. Will think twice what to do on the next spike. Heck, even FB is more attractive now than ABTL... And R/S is yet to come... SMH
I don't understand Coats. He wouldn't become broke had he bought 100K of ABTL's shares, considering how much he gets paid.
Meanwhile looks like .75 is some sort of support.
As of 03/31/12 they had 1.2M left for stock buy back. I hope they use it all before they do something as drastic as R/S.
Our next big challenge is the inevitability of R/S to not get delisted. I'm not too worried about that though, since it's not that kind of R/S that "penny" companies use to dilute their shareholders.
While it hurts my eyes to see ABTL where it's at, I maintain my hope for either buy-out or much higher stock price. With improving economy I can see some company going for that extra 1M/Q to it's balance sheet and trying to cut overhead to turn profits even higher.
Like analyst said there is no downside with ABTL. The question is how high is the upside?
Good luck, Romeo! I hope ABTL does well and you'll be back one day.
Any response from Coats, doc?
I personally added 1.2K more at .78. While I tempered my expectations regarding ABTL's target price, I still think it should be more than $1 by the year end.
What about you? Still holding?
Doc, Geronimo, I'm abroad now, but as you all are I'm disgusted with what have happened recently. What do you guys think is ahead for ABTL? What are your intentions?
If this is the case, then it's a good sign, that ABTL is being noticed.
I still wonder, who bought those 800,000 shares couple days ago? Company? Shorts covered? After that event things look more calm in ABTL's land.
Yeah, I'm thinking it doesn't make sence to sell at these levels, expecially when the company started to show profits. It's just extremely frustrating to being hummered for no reason as far as company's performance concern. I'm with you to hang one of those manipulators to teach others a lesson.
I thought Coats & Co already did what they could (with one exception) to bring the SP back above $1. The only weapon, besides WMD (weapon of mass destruction - R/S) is insider buying. Coats must step up and acquire 20-30-50K shares in the open market as a CEO. This will give positive momentum for sure. If Coats doesn't do that - R/S is more and more likeley.
My patience is wearing thin with ABTL. I'm thinking of jumping ship... There was nothing but despair in my days of ABTL shareholder.
