Did it just close at $4??? My brokerage account shows 3.90, but everywhere else it's $4!!!
I feel you. ABTL minimum should be 1,000 shares lot for a trade. 100 shares is just laughable. Yet, when price hits 3.95 some proud owner of 100 shares hustles to sell his 100 shares lot at 3.85. there is a great risk for him if he doesn't sell, you know ;)
We're getting there. $4 could be as soon as today.
I know... I know. After abysmal last quarter, when one of the analysts suggested Coats to issue dividend, I had high hoped for Coats going out and announsing at least .02 dividend per share (pre R/S). But... since Coats does not own shares, he didn't see personal gain in it. It is very frustrating to be shareholder of ABTL - the one who comes is last.
That's exactly what I noticed. One of them even mentioned that you can earn great salary doing nothing. Something like that. Granted, that was 2010. Since then Coats somewhat cleaned up a house. But he forgot few people, mainly himself and severely overpaid directors.
Will it ever be?
I sign off. Same here. I take responsibility for ever touching dkam, but I feel PK must be prosecuted for BLATANT lies he put out there. I hope karma will get him or his son one day. PK knew damn well what he was doing - robbing people.
This one is right on spot:
Stalemate...
Amazing. It's down like 99% from when I sold it and 99.999999999999999999999 from when I bought it and yet the same people scream WEEEEEEEEEEE and BUYYY. I mean come on, how can anybody take them seriously. Heck do they even take themselves seriously? :)
Interesting. Autobytel reviews by former employees.

Even from those reviews you get the drift of what was and is going on wrong.
Agree about volume. But as a consolation prize - looks like there are no sellers left. We need a spart to light it up.
Doc, while it doesn't hurt to have more analysts to come up with Buy recommendations, but aren't we have enough (and every one of them reiterates BUY, only one has hold if i'm not mistaken)to convince investors it's not some risky stock with awful balance sheet, but profitable company, with positive cash flow, waiting to receive recognition. To me recognition starts north of $5.
It's time for investors to abandon falling AAPL and load up on rising ABTL :)
We broke MA-100, MA-50 is starting to turn upward... All in all things starting to look good in ABTL's land!
I concur. Monday should be good. I mean Tuesday :)
We need volume, "buy" volume. The way stock behaves now is just like it's waiting for a spark. and if that spark happens - we should blow by $4 in a blink of an eye.
I sure hope so. I was afraid of that sell off after few green days. But looks like it holds strong. In fact for 2 days there is going healthy accumulation in 3.70-3.80 area. Need a spark to challenge $4.
Easy explanation: After recent "Buy" initiation some swing traders hopped in for a quick buck, but when ABTL faced resistance in 3.80 area, some/most of them quit. I see a bid for 17,500 shares at 3.65. Hopefully we get some accumulation at 3.65-3.70 to begin our next move to conquer $4.
Heh, looks like we're heading to $0.
Dead stock.
Doc, I'm for one is praying so guys like you and me (and Geronimo :) ) can be rewarded for our patience.
I'm ok with management being old school and not PRing the company every day all over the internet. This is not the problem with ABTL. ABTL is where it is now soley because the company underperforms financially. Yes it makes money, yes it is virtually debt free with strong balance sheet. But having almost no increase in sales and sitting on that cash doing nothing is the real problem. That's where I blame management. You mentioned before that addition of new Director can signal ABTL moving into auto financing segment, thus increasing sales. Let's see if they can pull it off. Because right now - company is stagnant.
Coats is to blame here for sure. Let's be candid, has he done decent job turning the company profitable? - Yes. Has he done everything CEO could do to increase value and make shareholders happy? - No. For Christ's sake, CEO owns less shares of his company than I do. That doesn't put confidence in investors. Looks like Coats is OK with company making peanuts and writing himself that huge paycheck.
Analyst issues a BUY at 3.60. Next day people rush to sell at 3.55. I need a doctor (not stocdoc) to examine the world. I think it has gone mad!
Wow... LMAO. I can't...
I don't know what can move this stock. Seriously. Analyst recommends BUY and... nothing happens. I guess even if the company announces buyout at $8 per share ABTL will still be trading at 3.60 with people looking to sell :) That's how CRAZY ABTL is... :(
More and more analysts notice ABTL and recommend BUY, yet people are selling it like it's a hot potato. I can't explain.
3.64 is about to evaporate.
I really hope your purchase pans out! It's a shame we're not trading above $5 the way we should be.
Looks like 3.64 won't last long. So far almost all buys (most of the volume) were at 3.64.
Nice! Please let's go now!
"trying"? Did you say trying? Because to TRY to do something, you have to be TRYING. And ABTL's management is definitely NOT trying.
Doc, I probably will. It hurts, it is frustrating to be Abtl shareholder, but I believe our patience will be rewarded in the end.
I was trying to decipher that recent BOD addition, but I think you're right on spot with your assumption, doc. We'll have to wait and see, but I truly hope Coats is up to something, because making the same small amount of money every quarter is one thing, growing sales numbers is totally another.
I don't know, man... i don't know. I'm holding and buying more on the dips and hoping for THAT day, we're all waiting for - buy out.
Lmaoooooo
