Congrats to anyone who still owns SCX. Getting acquired for $16.19/share in cash. A healthy premium, especially since earnings haven't been that great lately. I remember several of us viewed SCX as a possibly buyout candidate. Stock was cheap and their tools have an excellent reputation. Well it finally happened...only took a few years!

Won't even have to wait that long on IMMR. They just reported Q4 results...next up will be Q1 in early May. So only about 2 months.
I'm still concerned they may have stuck that $17.5M from Meta in the Q4 numbers. I realize the Meta agreement was on 2/9/24 and we're talking about the quarter ending Dec 2023. But I've seen lots of companies over the years recognize large 1-timers, even though they occur after the quarter ended, it still showed up in the numbers that were about to be reported. And those were legit companies that didn't have a Singer in charge. Would explain why these seemingly huge earnings were also 2 weeks late.
Nice buy on IMMR. Now up 12% to the $7.40's. Doing a little better than I figured. But I guess in this bubbly market, the Singer stink may not hold it down like usual. I'm still taking profits...
Hopefully so on IMMR. But it's the Singers. So trying to hide another poor quarter from their investments wouldn't shock me. Who knows what they're doing with all that money. Hey maybe they went in big on AI!
IMMR posts a whopper quarter. Somewhat surprising with the report 2 weeks later than last year. Of course a big chunk of earnings is from 'interest and other income'. And we don't really know what goes into this volatile number (it was somehow a loss in Q3 even with their cash rich balance sheet). I'm hoping the $17.5M received from the Meta agreement last month isn't included in this? If so, Q4 was disappointing. If not, Q4 was terrific. Stock will likely continue to trade at a substantial discount with the Singers in control. But hopefully gets a pop tomorrow at least.

Snagged a few KEQU myself. Revenues weren't really strong, and they STILL earned .85/share in the quarter. Pretty good for a $27 stock in this expensive market. Backlog ticked higher sequentially. So hopefully we'll see better numbers next quarter...
KEQU posts another strong bottom line with fiscal Q3 earnings of .85/share. Revenue decline of 23% doesn't look great though. And stock has run up a bunch from the teens. Not sure if this report is enough for the stock to keep climbing from the $30 area.

MLR posts another excellent comp, as expected. Trading up a bit AH. What a bargain this was below $40 a few weeks ago.

Yep trimming a few ELTK over $14. But earnings coming up Monday morning...so I still want to have a decent position. Should be very favorable comps for Q4 & 2023, along with a bullish outlook.
Great call on CXDO. Stock soaring over 20% today?!? Q4 didn't look all that special to me compared to Q3 (and the stock was available in the high $1's after that report). But the market seems to love it. Congrats!
Nice alert on FACO. I snagged a few at the open. Got a price target on this one? Looks super cheap, even with a hefty pink sheet discount.
New highs for OPXS over $7. Doing some trimming, but this market has plenty of momo buyers.
Yep guessing the IMMR report won't be great. Already running a week and a half later than last year. Impossible comp too with a couple of big 1-timers boosting the year ago Q4 bottom line. Today's news may have been an attempt to soften the blow.
Positive news on IMMR. Guess it's a renewal so maybe not a big deal. Still seems like a PR that gets some kind of pop-

Snagged a few more FEIM on the dip to the $10.30's. Earnings coming up. They reported on 3/9 last year so prob late next week or early the following week. Won't have the full margin improvement, but should be a great looking comp. If the markets are still rocking, I think this one shoots up to new highs.
Think WW has bigger problems than the balance sheet. Oprah is leaving. And all the miracle weight loss drugs on the market (with more coming) may eventually put WW out of business.
Yep on VIRC. Of course if they were that confident, they could have raised the dividend from .02 to .03 :)
I don't think the April numbers will be terrible or anything. But a high chance that they start dropping back from the blockbuster results of recent quarters. Backlog was down slightly last quarter. And the stock has run a long ways from $4 last summer, when gilead et al were all over it...
No comment on the GERN earnings report yesterday morning? Stock has been all over the place since then. Shot up to the $2.30's, then tanked back to the $1.90's, now up again today.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/geron-corporation-reports-business-highlights-120500081.html
VIRC up in the $10.60's, doing well in recent days. Wish I'd grabbed more in the high $8's last week. Taking some profits. Don't want to hold this one into earnings, but that's prob not til late April.
Rebuying the ELTK I sold over $14. Today they announced earnings will be Monday, March 11th before the open. Usually a positive sign (at least more so than a late Friday release ha). ELTK should report favorable comps for Q4 and the full year. Along with a bullish outlook. Seems like a great hold into that report after the pullback from $20+. But the sellers of late sure are pesky!
ARC report nothing exciting. Q4 top & bottom lines actually came in a tad better than I was thinking. Didn't love the site remediation expense (hopefully 1-time). Outlook on the CC was decent...sounds like more flattish to slightly higher quarters on the way. I'll stick around for the dividend. Current yield is 7.6%.

Crazy on DRCT. Still seems pretty scammy to me. But things like that don't matter in this market euphoria. GCT is in the mid $30's too.
PRIM reported their Q4 earnings decline. Adjusted earnings of $2.85/share for 2023. Guiding 2024 adjusted earnings to $3.05-$3.25/share. So earnings growth of 7-14%? I don't get the appeal with the stock over $40. Seems plenty fairly valued, even based on 'adjusted' earnings. But the stock is up a bit AH so congrats.
Wow CSPI pushing $60! This one has been the gift that keeps on giving. Congrats to those playing. Seems like the upcoming 2-for-1 split may actually be a negative...since the low float that momo traders love...will be doubled. But it's logic out the window right now in this market, so who knows.
Nice to see ELTK poking above $14 again. Did trim a few this time...so that should send it higher :)
Surprised not more interest. ELTK looks like an attractive hold into earnings next month as should be excellent Q4/annual comps. Stock also seems due for a bounce after the recent slide from $20+. Of course many of us remember the stock at $4 a year ago...so it's hard to buy heavy up here.
Good luck on PRIM earnings. Outlook should be bullish with the recent contracts. Maybe that's all it'll take in this red hot market. But it would be nice to get a bullish outlook along with a healthy jump in Q4 earnings. Instead of an earnings decline.
What's the appeal of holding PRIM into earnings? Looks like adjusted Q3 earnings were down. Q4 earnings later today are expected to be down (.67/share vs .77/share the prior year). And then Q1 appears to be seasonally weak with earnings of only .09/share expected. With the stock up sharply in recent weeks and trading at a 52-week high, I'm guessing there will be a better buying opportunity...
Thanks for the AWX info. Interesting he didn't sell any on that crazy pump & dump in 2018? If you don't take profits when a stock goes up 1,000+% in a week...when do you??
IMMR earnings should be any day since they reported on 2/22 last year. Gonna be a brutal Q4 comp so not really looking forward to the numbers.
I do think the META news is pretty exciting. Did you see something about an ongoing license fee? If so, that would be awesome! Or maybe it's just $17.5M and that's it? Hoping to get some details with the upcoming earnings release. But it's the Singers...so not holding my breath.
Good catch on BURCA. Guess Q4 bottom line only down slightly vs last year, excluding that $2.3M impairment.
I'm still surprised the stock jumping to the $14's today. Because the improvement in the annual results is all from that dynamite Q1. It's been available in the $11's & $12's for many months since then.
Wish I'd held more shares into today's report as I knew it would be a favorable comp. I was thinking maybe a slight pop to $13. And that was a maybe given the lack of action on many pink sheet names. At least I grabbed a few more at the open this morning at $12.20.
Low float mania really died down this week (other than CSPI ha). Hoping it picks back up again. And I think it will if the Nasdaq keeps flying higher.
AWX might be one for the low float watchlist. They've had a long string of meh quarters. Q2 & Q3 are usually healthy profits. But they lose money in Q1 & Q4 due to seasonality. Annual results around breakeven at best. So the Q4/annual report next month won't be anything special. Boring business too (landfills & golf courses woohoo!). Balance sheet is solid at least, stock trades way below tangible book value.
Here's where it gets interesting on AWX. Their already low float is getting even lower. This dude has bought up over 1M shares!

Not sure what the good doctor is thinking here. Maybe he's an eccentric millionaire who just likes the golf course? I'm curious to see if he continues to buy in his next filings. If so...things could get real interesting on this one. Those of us who remember AWX from years ago, remember that crazy multibagger run in the span of a week. From like the $3's on a Tuesday to a premarket high in the $30's the following Monday. Back when Guy Gentile tried to buy the float and orchestrate a pump & dump. I remember it vividly because I was short. Ouch!
BURCA hit $15.01?? Did better than I thought today. Gladly took profits. Funny thing is Q4 earnings were solid, but actually down vs the prior year. The annual comp looks so terrific because Q1 was a monster. Unfortunately, they now have that impossible Q1 comp on deck.
ELTK was looking good on that bounce over $14 yest. Thought about trimming a few...then was like nah it's still too cheap. Of course the stock is right back in the low $13's today. I'm a buyer again. After this steep selloff from $20+, looks like a great hold into earnings in early March imo
BURCA getting a pop on the expected favorable comp. They also bumped up their already attractive dividend. Not one I'd chase, but would add on a pullback.

Good call not getting back into AAOI. Stock getting crushed 33% AH on the lousy report. And still looks overvalued. I never quite got the appeal of this one. Then the stock went from the $7's to the $20's ha
Wish someone would tell my stocks ha. Outside of a few isolated crazies like CSPI, plenty of red on my micro screen. Def wouldn't know the S&P is up 100 points today. Feels more like a flat market day.
SMCI now up a tidy 32% today. Anyone brave enough to buy the dip? If so, congrats. What a rollercoaster this one has been in the past week! Hit the $1070's last Friday. Crashed all the way below $700. Then soared to a high in the $980's today. What will the next week bring...
Shorting anything in this market is scary. Last week CSPI reported a quarterly loss on declining revenues. I get the excitement around AZT. But even with that potential, the stock seemed very expensive at $30. Because how much revenue & earnings is AZT really going to add?? Now the stock is over $50. So why not $60, $70, etc. Who knows anymore...
Thanks on ELTK. So that'll hit Q4 a few pennies? Still should be an fantastic comp next month. And what I like is the forward outlook for Q1 & the rest of 2024 should be super bullish.
From the 12/18/23 PR-
Eltek Ltd. (NASDAQ: ELTK), a global manufacturer and supplier of technologically advanced solutions in the field of printed circuit boards, announced today the placement of purchase orders totaling $4.5 million for state-of-the-art machines, software, and a comprehensive service contract, with most deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of 2024, in connection with its planned expansion of its production capabilities. These purchase orders are in addition to the three production lines ordered in August 2023. The first production line is on its way to Eltek and it is scheduled be installed during the beginning of the first quarter of 2024.
Stock has already perked up since being red this morning. Looks like I should have bought more. Can see this easily rebounding back toward the offering price of $16/share, if not higher in this nutty market.
Absurd move on CSPI. Selling only 10%?? Uh the stock was at $30 a couple days ago. The stock would be an attractive short in the $50's...in a normal market. But this isn't a normal market. Momo players see the stock soaring 50% today...and start buying. Total insanity.
