Checked the futures last night. Dow & Nasdaq were both down triple digits. Thought today would at least be a tiny pullback. Nope. Markets green. Again. This raging bull market is relentless!
Finally a good day for SOXS, up over 7%. Take the quick profit or hold out for more?
Nice scalp on AATC so far. Opened at $8.15 after the special dividend news. Already at $8.69 and likely headed higher. Tough to buy up here after such a great run in recent months...but guess that's the case on a LOT of stocks.
Hope it works out on TSLA. Not sure if being aligned with Cathie Wood is a good thing. Getting a small bounce today at least
Wow ELTK over $20 today! Anyone still riding? Hard to believe this stock was languishing around $4 just last May. An amazing 5-bagger since then!
Nice on AATC. Stock has been on a great run in recent months, closing at a new 52-week high today over $8. And should get another boost on this special dividend PR-

We'll see how earnings season goes. The market's extremely positive reaction to the NFLX report suggests to me there's more gas in the tank. Even on the big Nasdaq names that have run a ton. Prepare for things to get even frothier...
CRWS seems to be popping on volume this morning. Get a mention somewhere? Or maybe just caught in this crazy strong market updraft. Would be nice if that lasts through earnings season. Can pretty much throw a dart right now & make money
Yep I don't understand why someone who's older and already made a lot of money (you only have to get rich once) would want to take on such crazy risk, but to each their own. Maybe a strategy change would mean less daily wade rants about how the stock market is manipulated & unfair. One can only hope...
Will never understand why you're constantly swapping one stock for another. Why not just own BOTH. That's why the rest of us own a portfolio of stocks. You're going to have many more winners that way. With a lot less risk.
Yeah nice pop on CSPI lately. Traded down near $18 earlier this month. Today it hit $26. Congrats! I'd be taking profits ahead of earnings...as could be a rough comp.
Whoa thought VTSI looked ok in the $6's after their favorable Q3 report in November. Now in the $12's?? With some tougher comps on the way, might be an attractive short at some point...
Thanks for the info on the OPXS acquisition. Doesn't seem like it's gonna move the needle much. But they're also not spending much money on it.
I've followed OPXS for many years...and in all that time I believe this is the first acquisition I've seen them make. So maybe this is the start of something new in 2024.
Very confusing on GEOS. When they said the $30M contract was replacing the $20M contract, I figured it was similar albeit larger. So another rental instead of a purchase. But I've only followed this stock since their last earnings report. I can't imagine quarterly revenues are gonna jump up from around $30M per quarter to $40M+ per quarter. Otherwise why were they somewhat cautious short-term on the last CC? Guess we'll find out next month when the fiscal Q1 numbers hit.
Not sure if that's right on GEOS. Think they're saying the new $30M contract replaces the $20M contract from last June. And it was the remaining $20M order that shipped in the Dec quarter. Still would bode well going forward, which is why the stock has jumped from the $12's to the $15's since the PR hit. But I don't think it means an extra $10M in quarterly revenue when they report fiscal Q1 results next month. Fairly new to the stock, so maybe I'm way off.

Yeah nice early pop on ESOA. Does seem to have gotten a pump from somewhere over the weekend. I was happy to buy some shares back last week on the dip to the low $5's. Unfortunately, thought I was doing good flipping around $6 on Friday. Sold the rest today. I wouldn't hold into earnings next month up here, as it's a seasonally weak quarter. Should be a favorable comp though.
OPXS makes a small acquisition. Market seems to like the news-

I liked GEOS last week when it dipped to the $12's. Seems fairly valued here in the $15's. Stock has run a lot already. A year ago, it was trading in the $4's. Big pop since the PR earlier this month, too. Good news but I don't know if I want to hold into fiscal Q1 earnings up here. At least they've got a super easy bottom line comp. But on the last CC, they didn't sound super bullish on Q1 results. Talked about lumpy quarters etc.
ESOA back over $6. Nice recovery from earlier in the week. I'm taking profits.
Yep microcaps not doing great. Even on a day like today, when the markets are ripping higher. Frustrating. Meanwhile those who bought SMCI at the open this morning are up 20+% in a matter of hours...
Another CRNT slide at the close. Grabbed a few, but wish I'd stacked in some lowball buy orders. This stock turning into a good trader. Buy around $2.50.
Sell in the $2.70's & $2.80's. Eventually it should bust higher to $3+ imo
Thanks on GLGI. Yeah didn't like the CC commentary. I'm a bit surprised the stock has held up so well over $1. Happy to sell the rest of my shares.
OPXS pulling back to the low $5's. Was pushing $7 just a couple weeks ago, at a new 52-week high. I'm rebuying some shares.
MNDO and BURCA are a couple more attractive dividend microcaps. MNDO should declare their large annual dividend when they report Q4 results, probably in early March. Stock seems to have already turned a bit higher lately in anticipation.
Any recent thoughts on MLR? Stock was looking good a few weeks ago, trading up to a new 52-week high over $43...and was still cheap. Now back in the $38's.
I'm a buyer at these levels. MLR looks like an attractive hold into their next earnings report (probably early March). Should be excellent Q4/annual comps.
More positive news on CRNT this morning. Or were you expecting even bigger numbers for 2024?
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ceragon-anticipates-reaching-high-end-130000766.html
DRCT back down in the $9's. Anyone playing the wild swings on this scammy name?
SIF down to $3. Anyone taking a shot? Was trading in the $4.70's at the end of last month, ahead of the 10K. Q4 bottom line was pretty disappointing, but maybe they can get back on track with a smaller loss in fiscal Q1 next month? Giant backlog at least. Seems like a decent gamble below $3. But certainly more solid microcap names out there.
ESOA was trading up near $6 on Friday. Dropped as low as the $5.20's today. I'm a buyer again.
Yeah nice quarter for GLGI. Tough market day though, lots of red on my screen. Will take GLGI up 10%. Maybe an upbeat CC tomorrow will give the stock more of a lift.

Fingers crossed on GLGI. Stock has made a nice recovery since that weird selloff to the low .80's before yearend. Exactly right...CC commentary indicated the quarter they report this week will be down a bit sequentially. On the plus side, they've got a super easy comp vs last year. Hoping to see a .03-.04 quarter, but maybe that's too optimistic. Stock had a buyer this morning, not sure if that's good or bad. I've trimmed back some shares into the strength. That usually guarantees a big quarter!
TAIT and CRWS both look like attractive dividend plays. Not sure if you caught my TAIT post last week-
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=173615606
Tough to know what's going on with TAIT. Mystery seller of late, and no earnings PRs. If quarterly revenues recover to $2M+ later this year (not holding my breath), the stock could see a sharp rebound to $4-$5.
I like CRWS better. Seems safer, albeit probably less potential upside than TAIT. I'll be accumulating CRWS into earnings next month. Will be their seasonally strongest quarter for Manhattan Toy...so the fiscal Q3 numbers should look very favorable.
CRNT sure faded after hitting the $2.80's early Friday. I'm buying back some shares today in the $2.50's.
Anyone still have TAIT? Starting to look appealing down near $3 imo. Stock has been hanging in the mid $3's for months...then got sold off this week to a new 52-week low. Wonder what's up? I don't see any news. Some volume on the selloff too. So that's not great. Guessing a frustrated holder with a decent position is bailing. If that's the case, and there's more shares to sell, stock will see the $2's.
TAIT has pretty solid fundamentals and a low float. Yes Q3 revenues stunk. The second quarter in a row of plunging revenues. They don't put out earnings PRs, so it's tough to know what's going on. On the plus side, they still earned .07/share in Q3 even with the weaker revenues. And the balance sheet is excellent. Looks like they're sitting on $1.45/share in cash & investments, with no debt. TAIT also pays an attractive dividend, current yield is 6.4%.
I nibbled on a few shares today. Kinda at the mercy of the recent seller. But will gladly accumulate more in the $2's. Not expecting terrific revenues/earnings anytime soon, but the balance sheet & healthy dividend should offer some downside protection.
Nice follow through on CRNT. Trading up to the $2.80's today. After going the wrong way in the $2.40's yesterday morning. Another one I wish I'd bought more of. Also taking some quick profits.
Sweet GEOS bouncing right back up to the $14's. Should have bought heavier in the $12's. Already taking some quick profits with the stock up 10%+ since yesterday. GEOS should have a favorable earnings comp next month, but the company has also warned of lumpy quarterly results.
Yep looks like a sell the news reaction on the Bitcoin names today. Makes sense given the huge runs on those stocks lately. Would have made for some great short plays. Always easy in hindsight...
GCT sure has been a wild ride. Think it dropped to the $17's last week. Then hit the $26's early yesterday! Today back down in the $18's. Tempted to rebuy?
GEOS pulling back to the $12's after hitting the mid $14's a few days ago. May get cheaper, but I bought a starter position this morning. From that recent $30M contract PR, sounds like the fiscal Q1 report next month will be a good one. Should be a fantastic looking bottom line comp too.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/geospace-technologies-sells-30m-ocean-213000281.html
Noticed that on CRNT. Why I'm not buying too heavy. Because of the nice run the stock has been on since October. Wonder if today's positive contract news leaked out?
Won't complain if the stock drops back a bit. I'd like to buy more at lower prices.
